Great service and good food despite the long lines

Liked it more than a regular Whataburger but not more than their sweet and spicy bacon burger!

I got my usual, a double double animal style with animal style fries. It lived up to my expectations and the in-n-out standard. Being my favorite of the regional fast food options, and burger joints, I always make it a point to stop in any city I visit with one. This location could have been in California or Nevada once inside you were transported to fast food paradise. I can taste the light crisp on the burger patties still and wish I could eat there every day.

Love in n out burgers. Fast and amazing customer service. In love with the animal fries and animal double burgers. Amazing prices. Order the kids grill cheese & though it would be good but was very disappointed. Only got the bun & cheese which had no flavor & was nasty. Besides that everything was great. Have you looked up their secret menu? They will do extra crispy fries, animal style fries & I’ve seen them make chili cheese fries. No not Texas chili, the spicy red pepper 🌶️ chili is what it looked like. Burgers are always great & again never frozen. The meat is always fresh, maybe that’s the flavor difference. I always get the 4x4 for me, double double for my wife & Flying Dutchman for my dog. Couple differences between here & the ones in California are 2 things. 1) the staff in Cali are super nice & bubbly happy all the time with a smile on their face like they are happy to work there & 2) the lettuce in the burger, in Cali they give you more of a chuck of lettuce & when you bite into the burger there’s that slightly cold fresh crunch which gives the burger a different bite than other places. This location also toasts the buns very nicely. That first bite is a buttery crisp outside & that makes this burger so good. I think they do it pretty well here at this location & I will definitely be back to enjoy some more.

I have been out of the military since 2008, and for the first time took advantage of a Veterans Day meal. The place was near spotless, the staff was energetic, and the meal lived up to my expectations! Strong teamwork -I will be back!

My son and I were watching a documentary about In-N-Out and he comments, "I've never eaten there." 06APR24: Well, let's take that off his to-do list. We visited here for dinner. It was packed. Standing room only. I like their simplicity: the menu, the decor, the system. The cashier was efficient and in a couple minutes, we got our food. My son really liked the animal style fries. He ate his burger and then proceeded to eat my fries too. He's definitely a fan of In-N-Out now. For those who are wondering, we're not native Texan or Californian. In-N-Out beats Whataburger though. Except, maybe the fries. Nobody can beat McDonald's fries.

Finally had In-N-Out for the first time the other night. And I can finally say that all of the hullabaloo and praise is somewhat founded on substance - animal style! Yes, the animal style burgers and fries are incredible! So happy that I attempted it. It’s not on the menu, but you simply ask for animal style and expect a zing and a zip to be added to your belly! I also had a chocolate shake and wow it tasted fresh. But does this legendary establishment squash ol’ town favorite and mainstay, Whataburger? Heck no! That is an Out-N-Out mentality. But I would repeat. Good job!

Hard to beat a double double w/ grilled onion, no tomato and well done fries. Protein style’s good if you’re watching out for glucose. Consistent quality and value.

Food was great and the inside of the restaurant was very clean. I highly recommend checking this place out. Make sure you order everything on the menu “animal style” or it won’t taste good. That’s my only complaint about in and out but this option makes it great.

i LOVE in n out, the customer service here is always top notch, even when they are SLAMMED with customers. tonight i spoke to Dayanara who took my order in store and she was the absolute sweetest! the amount of times i come to this location is probably excessive, i probably pay the light bill with how much i spend here… yet my massive orders have NEVER been wrong, ever! the food is hot and fresh, the customer service is spectacular, their prices, CHEAP!!!! & they’re a Christian company which is a cherry on top. EVERY staff member truly deserves a raise but they come do work and do the damn thing! thank you in n out and all the workers!

I’m not a big In & Out fan but the wife and kids love it so I must go. That being said? The place is always running like a well oiled machine, always clean. Food and customer service easily the best I’ve ever seen and experienced. Their system is quite frankly flawless. Their only flaw is “no chicken”. Everything else is easily the best. Kudos to the staff that is 100% in on customer service.

Anyone up for a burger?! This joint from Cali is always busy ! Their 50s style burger in a box tray yum, I can’t complain. Their service and food is really good ! The Nice gentleman taking my order was very friendly - with his 1950s fashion duds wink! 😉 If you haven’t tried In and Out… believe me you’re In and Out through the drive thru. Fast service! 💨 ( The menu is decent, simple to order.)

My wife loves In-N-Out. When we lived in SoCal it was her favorite place. So we ate here 3 times during our week in SA. Saturday and Sunday it was a complete mob scene. The drive thru line was over a block long, the parking lot was overflowing and there was a long line inside to order. But they filled orders quickly and our wait didn’t seem overly long. The burgers were as good as we remembered (obviously as we ate there 3 times). Fries were also good. The iced tea, surprisingly wasn’t very good the first two nights. Great place for a burger and lots of people seem to agree.

In-N-Out burger is just delicious, no complaining on that, you can’t mess that up, wonderful every time I get. The inside is always kept super clean and the staff is always smiling and happy. I am happy this location exists but not for the location area, on Culebra, one of the busiest streets, it’s always difficult to drive out but more so to even get in, expect to make a long U-turn because no one will let you in through the traffic lanes to get into the parking lot, ever, it’s always busy there, most especially from noon to 1, lunch rush. And the drive through is a constant 15-20 cars hanging out into the streets. And don’t even get me started on the prices. But there’s nothing to be done about those two things I guess. But I think those two issues are worth putting up with in the end when you finally get your hands on that double double with grilled onions and animal style fries and that little yellow pepper , is what I tell myself.

We came in with a group of 40+ of us (mostly teens and preteens) around 8PM on a Thursday night. The drive-thru was very busy! Wrap around line! Despite the line outside and the good amount of people they were already serving inside, they got us all through the line to order quickly, efficiently and with a smile! I have to say… this is the best hamburger I have ever tasted. And trust me, I’m extremely picky when it comes to burgers. In-N-Out here in San Antonio completely blew me away. Simple, fresh, flavorful — everything a burger should be. This place outdoes every other hamburger I’ve tried by far. Tonight November 12th/2025 My family and I went to In-N-Out tonight, and somehow we drove off before they gave us our last cheeseburger. 😅 When I realized it, we turned back and let them know. While we were waiting, I noticed this young guy at the fry station cutting, frying, and seasoning fries like a pro. He was so focused and fast. Then I started watching the rest of the crew, all of them working hard and in sync, and it made me think of my son. He’s abroad right now and just started a new job today. Watching those young workers made me hope he’s doing well too, earning, working hard, finding his rhythm. I miss him so much. 💛 And honestly, I left feeling grateful for good food, good people, and for everyone out there doing their best. I just appreciate you guys at In-and-Out Thanks 😊

Lacked a little on flavor but over all the burger was well made it was not soggy French Fry were delicious and crispy I think for me it was missing pickles.

The burger was great. The animal style fries were okay, the cheese was american cheese and the sauce was basically mayo and ketchup with onions, the fries were stale - solid 3 stars. The tomato burger was SO SMALL like what? 2 stars The restraunt was PACKED. The restraunt was dirty, there were no napkins, nor TP in the bathrooms, but honestly you can not blamed the team they were being milked and they did well with the order placement and delivery. And the staff although very busy were polite and efficient!

Love this place, and now you can dine in!! The tables were a little dirty, which isn't cool so maybe not disinfecting like they should be after each guest. The staff is very nice and respectful and the bugers were delicious, cooked perfectly! The animal fries were on point like always. In-N-Out in Texas aren't as good as they are in Cali. I know some people here in TX love it. But for me it's better in the motherland California!

I simply love in n out so I may be biased gave 4 stars because the burger are always fantastic only reason it didnt get 5 is because it usually a louder fast food place as far as the environment but that won't stop me from going back and getting a double-double meal 1000 more times

Very clean and well kept fast food establishment. My only complaint is the amount of onion they add to their sandwiches, I had to throw away over half of what they put on the burger which is just a little wasteful, but all in all good burger and nice place with friendly staff. They even have a little outdoor patio to eat in the fresh air.

Decent burger we pass on the fries as theirs something odd about them. Not sure what’s changed but I used to LOVE In-N-Out as a kid, especially the fries but it’s now an option instead of the standard.

Out of all the restaurants I have been to, In-N-Out by far has the best burgers I have ever had the pleasure to eat. The fries are something to be desired but if a fast-food chain had everything, I would think it was ran by aliens. Make sure to get a cheeseburger animal style. You'll thank me later.

Ordered four double burgers three with cheese and four fries. With drinks. It took 15 minutes at 1:00 to get the order. There weren't any tables available to sit at. The restaurant was clean. And the food was delicious. Everything was hot and fresh.

Long time patron of this In N Out location. I have noticed a consistent drop in quality over time. The most recent visit this past weekend has me questioning my return. Ordered well fries and received over salted soggy fries. Both my and my wife's burger tasted extra salty for some reason. Chocolate shake was not mixed well. The person outside taking orders didnt have any personality. I still give it a 4 star given it still does some stuff right, but it doesn't distinguish itself from any other fast food places nearby. A small complaint, please ask if I would like my straw in my drink and do not just do it automatically. I assume some manager thought it was a good idea, it is not. It simply adds another questionably hygienic process.

First time trying their burger and meal and the burger itself was amazing juicy flavorful and cook perfectly the root beer was ice cold and tasted Super fresh like it came straight from the factory the only downside was the fries which weren't as good as I hoped a bit bland compared to everything else still overall it was a great experience and I will definitely come back for the burger again

When, I come here, it's definitely just for the burgers. The fries are so-so, but in all fairness they are probably more healthy than the other burger chains. The restaurant was clean and the staff are always friendly here. The dining area can get congested and loud. I'd suggest the Double Double. There isn't a lot of substance to burger patties these days, so to feel like you've actually eaten something, just get two.

Great burger place and I love the food, however, it's extremely packed! Drive thru line was wrapped around the road all the way out to the main road and inside people had to wait for others to leave so they could get a table. They need to open about 10 more of these restaurants around San Antonio and surrounding areas because it's clearly in high demand. Would be nice to be able to enjoy it without the massive crowds.

Drive thru line is crazy long!!! The speed of service for food once you order though is quick and the food was fresh. Burger was really good and tasted like a good quality fresh burger. Fries... I wouldn't get again, they were boring in my opinion. The workers were polite, energetic and had great customer service.

First off, I after growing up in SoCal, this is my comfort food. I love the meat and cheese they serve and somehow, no other burger joint captures the exact same flavor. So, I always have to stop into these when I’m on the road and need a fast fix. The quality at this location, while still good, seemed a bit off. The buns we crumbly, the meat seemed slightly less fresh. Still good though, but I would have been upset if this was the first time I was taking someone to experience it. It was very clean though. The workers seemed on top of it.

We went through the drive thru and even though the line was long, the wait time was short. The only thing I didn't like was that my fries were not fresh. Burger was great!!

Prepare to wait in line at dinner time....but it goes by quick as they have two servers out taking your orders kind of like Dutch Brothers before you get to the drive-thru window. The fries are horrible if you don't eat them within 5 minutes, and I see why they need to serve you this big bowl of fries versus a smaller serving in another restaurant,... Burgers are small. For a couple dollars more burgers somewhere else will be much bigger and tastier.

The food was okay nothing mind blowing, I did appreciate the chocolate shake had the perfect amount of sweetness. Most places are over sweet, this one was perfect. The menu was simple...burger, fries, drinks, shakes...done. I have to give a shout out to the staff taking orders, so polite and patient. Not sure if I would come again, we took my grandson after he read the "In and Out" sign.

This is my 1rst dining experience with In-N-Out. I've heard people rave about it. I went thru the drive thru. It was a long line. They were taking orders outside to move things along. He came to my window. Their menu was a bit bland so I just asked for a bacon cheese burger. He said they don't have bacon... I'm sorry... WHAT!!! Ugh, I then ordered a cheese burger and fries and went home. The burger was just a burger. Nothing special at all. The fries are just edible. I didn't care for them. So the food was just ok, the service was great, the drive thru was packed and I'm not sure why. So I gather that it's just because it's cheap food. I won't go back.

My first time and it was ok. I like Mayo on my burger and they didn't have no mayo at all, fries was ok, price was fair I guess, Customer service could of been better, Atmosphere was cool....

The burgers were alright. They were better when they first opened. The fries taste light munching on cardboard with no taste. Sorry but you can do better.

second time trying this place... first time around grand opening left disappointed i think we went to sonic right after. second time now with kids we went and same results not worth for the price, the patty is small and dry, sauce is tasteless, the bread is nice and soft but heavy burned edges, and i do give the presentation a 9/10. idk but for 3$ mcd double cheeseburger hits the spot. i guess hype sells... burger is on par with p terrys except 3$ more lol

fries are stale and nasty. I asked for cooked to order but still stale. You should be ashamed of yourself

Lines are too too long to eat this over greased burger. Try your best going to Wendy’s next door. They make food hot and fresh.

Very dirty place, food is okay. Walked in and they have an excessive amount of employees which feels great. However, not one of the employees cleans the area. Had to clean our own table as 4 other tables were excessively dirty. Should have went through drive thru, would advise to have an employee readily available in lobby. Food was not bad though!

In-N-Out please do better with your drink lids. My drink spilled all over because the lid didn’t secure properly. Messy and frustrating.

Food was mid. I would’ve been upset going to a McDonalds drive through and eating something like that. They should up their game expeditiously

I usually never complain about food but this was out of the norm. I go all the time and this time after I finished my food I found blood in my napkins. I came back they offered me a free meal and apologized but for others sake. Check your bag and the food before you leave. Staff took care of me and my father they showed concern.

I tried this place about 10 years ago in Cali. I didn’t like it. Tried it again when it came to San Antonio years later. Was only out of hype. Didn’t like it then. Tonight I gave it another chance thinking that maybe my tastebuds have changed or maybe the food changed. But one thing I can say about it is it is a consistent miss. I’m not sure what the hype is but I can say that the burger is about the only thing here that decent. Ordering fries is a waste of money cause they’re always room temp and dry. I can see where It’s a decent option if we weren’t in SA where there are so many other and better options. Happy eating though! Just my honest review.

Parking was an absolute nightmare. The lot was chaotic, and I was almost hit by a truck speeding through just to grab a parking spot. The back entrance is basically another parking lot, and drivers were acting completely entitled — taking over the right side and driving wherever they pleased just to secure a spot. There was no sense of order or courtesy. It felt more like survival of the fittest than going out for a burger. As for the food, it was just okay. I’m not a fan of the dry, dehydrated-style burgers and fries. For all the hype, it didn’t live up to expectations. Between the chaotic parking, aggressive drivers, and very limited seating (mostly small tables for tiny groups), the whole experience felt overcrowded, rushed, and disappointing. Definitely not worth the stress.

A profound waste of everyone’s time. Ordered a double double, fries, and an XL shake. Place was absolutely packed, didn’t get my shake, then got a medium. Wasn’t worth troubleshooting. The salty, stale fries are paired with a burger of bland, razor thin patties. The burger was wholly generic and tasteless. Meh. I realized halfway through the fries that they were not worth the calories. My medium shake was fine, a little warm for coming straight from the machine. Just go to the neighboring Wendy’s. No wait, and much better, actually acceptable, fast food.

My heart truly goes out to the young employees at this location. These are hardworking young people who show up every day doing their best, often while dealing with difficult and sometimes disrespectful customers. What saddens me deeply is seeing how unsupported they seem to feel by their own management. I witnessed a situation where a young worker handled herself with so much patience and grace, even though the customer was clearly being unfair. Instead of being heard or supported, she was dismissed without even being given the chance to explain what actually happened. Management immediately sided with the customer simply because of a motto—“the customer is always right.” But we all know that customers are not always right. Some people intentionally take advantage of the system, and when management automatically believes them, it hurts the very people who are trying their hardest to serve with integrity. Our youth need encouragement, guidance, and leaders who stand up for what is right—not leaders who overlook the truth just to avoid conflict. When management fails to support their employees, especially the young ones, it damages their confidence and leaves them feeling alone in their work. We have a responsibility to protect our young workers, to treat them with dignity, and to show them what true leadership looks like. They deserve to feel valued, respected, and supported—not dismissed.
