Absolutely Outstanding Pizza Place! I had an amazing experience at this pizza restaurant! The variety of pizzas they offer is incredible—something for everyone, whether you’re into classic flavors or more adventurous combinations. Had lunch here for the 1st time today. Hard to find food near UTSA that isn't fast food or a overpriced food truck. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable of the menu and patient with us as it was our 1st time here. The mozzarella sticks were delicious, me and my husband had a pizza to share but they do have personal size pizzas. He got Tiramisu and I had cheesecake with raspberry sauce. Definitely will be coming again.

The sauce was very watery. As if they didn’t drain the water from the pasta before adding the sauce. There was no way the staff preparing it could have missed it, yet they chose to send it to us like that. Not cool. The meatballs were flavorful but not enough to compensate for a lack of marinara sauce

Picked pizza slices and they were a little cold. Asked the person behind the counter to reheat them. After that, pizza was good. The place has lots of tables and chairs to accommodate large parties. Saw other items in the menu that I will try next time I come here.

So we walked in at 910pm. Yes I know we are late arrivals and it’s almost closing time. I truly get it. But the attitude behind it was horrible. Our first time there and this guy says, do you know what you want ? No I don’t we have never been here and yes we are dinning in. Rude!! But they got saved with the food. I wasn’t expecting to like the food after the service we got when we first walked in. The cheese pizza was great my son loved it. The fries were hot and crispy and good. The calzone was simple but crust was great. The chicken Alfredo was pretty delicious. And the meatballs were small but very flavorful with the sauce. Garlic bread was crispy and soft on the inside. All in all food hit the spot. If you don’t want people going in close to closing time then turn off the sign and lock the door . All that attitude is unnecessary while you are in the customer service industry. I don’t mind giving tips especially if they are well deserved. If I would have know the food was that good I would have gave the prep team a better tip. Might go back during regular business hours in hopes the service is as good as the food.

In My Opinion

Rome’s is a quality spot. The Rome sub is phenomenal. It’s so good. It’s hot and the cheese is so creamy with every bite. It’s a great mix of meats and veggies. I love that it has red onion. You cannot go wrong with this Sammy! The pizza is tasty although it can be hit or miss at times. Still they’re on the better side if things even with that. I’ve had the baklava and not sure if they make it there but it’s underwhelming. I’d pass. Give them a visit for lunch and do yourself a favor and get this sandwich!

I have been a Rome’s customer for years. I have always tried to support small businesses especially this one that used to be owned by Gus & Brenda but sadly things have changed. We came tonight to enjoy pizza and we left feeling cheated and annoyed. We waited half an hour for a salad and well over an hour for a medium pizza. You all served everyone around us even though we were there before them. You offered no explanation and wait staff wouldn’t even look at us. Seriously, you keep this up and your business will fail. Goodbye Romes. Oh! I forgot to add that we left out the door with our pizza, do you think it looks like it was worth waiting for? NOT

⭐️ 1 Star — And that’s generous. Rome Pizza, congratulations — I think you’ve mastered the art of false advertising. The online menu looks great… too bad it has absolutely nothing to do with what they actually serve. Ordering from their website is like stepping into a parallel universe where the food might be good and the service might exist — but unfortunately, that universe is not this one. What I got in reality? Cold, bland, thrown-together food that tasted like it was an afterthought. If the quality matched the enthusiasm of the staff, maybe it would make sense — because the service was just as disappointing. Zero urgency, zero care, and zero sense that customers matter. If you’re looking for good pizza, good service, or even a restaurant that matches its own online menu… keep looking. Rome Pizza is an easy “never again.”
