Avis sur Rosario's San Antonio
Might be the best Tex-Mex I’ve ever had. The food was absolutely incredible, everything was fresh, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. You can really tell they take pride in what they serve. Our waitress, Gina (ask for her!), was amazing too, super friendly, attentive, and made the whole experience even better. Great food, great service, and a really fun atmosphere. I’ll definitely be back next time I’m in San Antonio.
In the midst of a room crowded to the seams and a bar besieged by thirst, Julian stood like a calm lighthouse in a sea of clamor. Though bound to the well and surrounded by bottles and urgency, he welcomed me with a courtesy as unruffled as a maître d’ in a quiet provincial inn. The lone seat beside him was my refuge, and there he transformed necessity into hospitality. What distinguishes Julian is not merely efficiency, but temperament: unshaken by the press of orders, untouched by irritation, and generous with good humor. He did not permit the tumult to invade his manners, nor did he allow haste to impoverish attention. On the contrary, he offered conversation, ease, and that rarest of virtues in service—rapport. From his hands came a drink of such innocent perfection it deserves a place in culinary folklore: a fountain Sprite, crowned with a lime resting at the bottom like a green jewel in clear crystal. The kitchen, meanwhile, spoke with equal eloquence. The food arrived abundant without excess, satisfying without fatigue. Each portion was composed with restraint and kindness, meant not to overwhelm but to console. The flavors carried the warm simplicity of true comfort—honest, direct, and quietly profound. One could taste in every bite a gentle simmering of care and intention. The final bill, modest and just, felt almost bashful in light of the pleasure provided. I left not merely fed, but contented—my appetite satisfied and my faith in good service renewed. Here, character was served alongside cuisine, and both were excellent.
We came from out of town looking for a rooftop bar, unfortunately, it was closed by the time we got there but the outdoor seating and great food made up for it. Our server was so nice, friendly and attentive, it was overall a fantastic dining choice. Highly recommend the ceviche and cucumber margarita!!
Beautiful setting. Our server Tamara was amazing! Friendly and attentive. Food was delish!
This is now my favorite Mexican restaurant in San Antonio. The food was amazing and the service was excellent! The server was very helpful and attentive. He made sure we had a wonderful dining experience. The fire roasted salsa was the best!! The Carne de Puerco was amazing and so was the Carne Asada. The chocolate flan was really good as well.
Crystal was a fantastic server. She took care of our party of 20 better then most can handle a party of 6 or 8. Very attentive and always smiling! Foid was great and prices were very reasonable. Highly recommend...
Great Space for Small Events, Excellent Service Attended an event in the side room, though the main restaurant was jam packed, they were able to close the doors to our section, and it turned into a wonderful cozy space, where we were able to hear our guest speakers clearly. Rico was the server for our space and he was phenomenal. He got our orders in between speakers, and delivered our food and drinks with care. Highly recommend as an event space. P.S. The coconut flan is unbelievable!!!
Had an absolutely incredible night here! From start to finish, the experience was seamless. The food was delicious and the drinks were awesome—clearly crafted with care. the service was truly top-notch and made us feel welcome the entire night. We ended the evening at the rooftop bar, which was fantastic and offered a great atmosphere. Highly recommend! If you’re looking for a spot with great vibes and even better quality, this is it!
We ordered the asado de puerco and the shrimp enchiladas, and overall it was a really good experience. The asado de puerco was full of flavor — tender pork in a rich red chile sauce that tasted very homemade. It paired perfectly with the rice and beans, especially the refried beans with melted cheese. Definitely comforting and satisfying. The shrimp enchiladas were creamy and well seasoned. The shrimp were on the smaller side, but the flavor was still there and the portion was good. Served with rice and beans, it made for a filling and enjoyable dish. Simple, traditional Mexican food with great flavor and a homemade touch. Would definitely come back.
Stopped by due to recommendations from a local San Antonio long time resident who is a picky eater. And brought my also picky eater son and the eat green enchiladas all of them.. eat pozole great taste also ceviche was so good.. enchiladas mexicanas were the best i ever had. A must to eat, easy walk from the busy riverwalk.
The food was Amazing!!! Puerco Cascabel, and the best Chicken Tortilla soup ever! The place is beautiful, the chips and roasted salsa...Yummmm! Angel was my waiter and he was attentive and on point while describing the top dishes...he even shared customer feedback, which helped me decide on what to try! The rice and beans were Delish! Of course I tried that first! So Incredibly good! I Love this place!
First time visiting this newer location, such a nice big open restaurant. The food was delicious, their Carne Asada was seriously so tender, seasoned and cooked to perfection, the best I had in a long time. Their drinks (watermelon mint margarita) was just as great! It seems perfect for small groups and even bigger ones. Saw many big tables celebrating with family and friends. They also had a big room in the back that looked like someone had rented out for a private event. As busy as it was the waiter was so attentive and very communicative. Excellent service and atmosphere, we will be back!
It was our first time ever dining there. The food was amazing, the table service was great! The waitress was very informative about the menu items. Definitely put our minds at ease when it was time to order. The homemade salsa to dip the chips in was one of a kind. It had us craving it more and more. The house music could be a little too loud. Other than that our whole experience was very good. Pricing is somewhat on the moderate side, but with it.
This restaurant is wonderful. Extremely cool modern interior. Fantastic food. Great service. The indoor dining room is massive and there is ample outdoor seating that is somewhat covered (ie protected from rain). There is a fabulous rooftop bar that has ample outdoor seating, cool views, and a DJ on the weekends. I almost always get the beef tacos nortenos and they are sooooooo delicious. I would absolutely recommend this restaurant for everything from a casual weeknight dinner to bringing family into town.
Rosario’s delivered big time. Delicious Tex‑Mex —especially the tacos—and the service was impressively quick. I only had a few minutes during a busy rush, but the team still made it happen. While they don’t carry fresh juices, the bartender kindly made a custom watermelon mocktail with what he had on hand, and it turned out fantastic. Overall, a great experience—I’ll definitely be back.
Cute restaurant. Love that the restaurant is spacey and not cramped. Tasty food and delicious drink menu. Not cheap but not too expensive. Otherwise, be willing to spend and have a great experience. Only downside is the upcharges on small things. Please ask your server to clarify all upcharges. Adding a side of rice or beans is $4 each. Chamoy and tajin rim on margaritas is a $1 upcharge. The manager was very understanding and happy to accommodate us. Would definitely visit again!
We had a wonderful meal at Rosario’s ComidaMex and Bar. The atmosphere is nice with great modern decor and a Southwestern flair. The food is also very good with a large variety of dishes offered. Our server and all of the staff members we encountered were very friendly and helpful.
Great Mexican spot in downtown San Antonio! Our whole family really enjoyed the décor, the food, and the friendly service. I had the carne asada plate, and it was outstanding—especially with the chimichurri sauce that added a unique twist to a classic Mexican dish. My wife ordered the albondigas and liked it, but after trying my plate, she was ready to trade! Overall, we had a great experience and loved the vibe. I’m definitely looking forward to going back and trying something new!
I had the pleasure of taking my beautiful friend out to celebrate her birthday. We enjoyed a selection of cocktails and entrées, but most importantly, I truly valued the opportunity to spend quality time in her company.
Nice modern looking restaurant. Food was good and priced appropriately for the quality. Service wasn’t great but it was because they were many large groups in at the same time so we were neglected.
All the dishes I saw & some of which I tried we all really good! I was most excited for dessert & that's where we were just a lil disappointed. It wasn't that they were bad by any means, it just depends on your specific preferences....we got the Tres Leches (which was beautiful & had berries & whipped cream on it) but the taste was not of berries it was of citrus like lime & orange, which I don't like but for sum1 who does it'd be excellent. & We got sopapillas, again tasted great, it's just my preference for them to be soft & fluffy but they were hard & crunchy, more like bunuelos imo. The service was great, the vibe was nice, we celebrated a birthday & it was a good vibe for that, good date night vibe. We were disappointed we couldn't go on the rooftop & see the view but apparently it's only open thurs-sun nights & it's 25yo & up, just FYI 😊
We were visiting San Antonio for the weekend and we asked around what was the best place to eat Mexican food and we were told this was the best. We were hoping to love it and unfortunately we did not. The place is beautiful loved the whole space and the rooftop is special. The food on the other hand was disappointing. My friend ordered the enchiladas and they were over seasoned. They only tasted like cumin. Don't get me wrong, we love well seasond food but this was not it. The rest of the food was Meh. My friend told the server that we were celebrating my birthday and we ordered dessert, guess what??? No candle, no singing, no happy birthday NADA, I Mean, I know there are places that do not sing happy birthday and all but seriously not even a small gesture to acknowledge someone who chose your establishment over a hundred others on a special day and that's all you got? We saw a manager just walking around and completely unaware of what a role of a manager is, he was just strolling around and passing by tables stacked up with dirty plates and nothing, no reaction. Zero sense of ownership or floor presence. I am really sorry but this was our experience and we were not impressed. We really wanted to love you but your food and service did not meet our minimum expectations to say the least.
I have never felt so out of place and unwelcome at a restaurant than my server made me. He acted as if I was disturbing him but he was acting friendly with another table he had beside me but I don't know if it's because they was speaking Spanish to each other or what. I ordered my drink and food. I noticed several people around me had tortilla starting with, so I asked him if they bring out anything like chips and salsa or tortilla and he responded they can of I just wanted them to kinda rudely as of I offended him by asking. I told him I would like done tortilla and butter. Another guy brought my nachos out with the butter and then he brought the tortillas out little after. The food didn't taste bad the nachos chips seemed a little well done but still eatable. After paying I was heading out and the guy at the front desk looked at me but refused to say anything to me leaving when I was getting a toothpick. There was a lady trying to leave when I was coming in that was nice and she went and sat me at a table before she went home which I really respect her for that, they could learn some respect from her. I don't care who or what you are, treat others the same way you want to be treated.
