The best pro jam around every Tuesday night at 7 pm. Sometimes 30 + musicians sign up to perform. Located behind the Smoke Shack, same owners, different menu plus a large covered outdoor dining space.
What a cool place to enjoy lunch out with friends! Enjoyed the old time ambience, we enjoyed our food and “I” loved that brisket margarita and those brisket nachos! Good service and reasonably priced.
Such a fun and lively neighborhood bar! We are regulars at Wednesday night live trivia with Christian, who’s a great host. Tacos and nachos are tasty, beer is cold, vibe is right.
Sunday brunch, seen the brisket bloody marry on a review. That does not disappoint! They make their mix in house and is delicious. We also got the brisket grilled cheese. It was great. Very hot (temp) and so cheesy. The staff was SO friendly. They were not real busy and the staff hung out at the bar. They talked to the three of us. Including us in all the conversations. It was a great atmosphere. There also was a band playing.
Y'all let me put y'all on something here. Atmosphere is so chill and even though it's hot outside, they have fans that are blowing literally on every table. They do have an indoor seating, but I always prefer being outside. The food was omg, chefs kiss. Sure it's quick and easy finger foods but the flavor just was out of this world. I asked to speak to the chef and was greeted by a gentleman by the name of Anthony. He was the cook during that shift and was very humble. His passion for food was admirable. The bartender, I can't remember his name but he was super attentive as well as the other bartenders. 5 out of 5 would totally recommend.
I was there with my husband to have a drink. It's a cozy local bar with delicious food and live music. You get the Texas vibe. Their sitting arrangement is little different. They had wooden benches, and i liked that. They also had outdoors, but it was a cold night, so we sat inside and enjoyed their live music. I had spicy margaritas..which is my all-time favorite. And they didn't disappoint me. The people were friendly. I enjoyed the live music while eating the nachos and grilled cheese sandwich. The quantity was enough for two of us. The nachos were crispy and fresh with little avocado on top. Loved their food. The price was also reasonable. To get the Texan vibe, one must visit this bar. Will definitely visit them again.
Nice bar inside that features a Texas feel along with picnic tables that are open seating, outside features an additional covered open air bar that has plenty of seating and a playground for kids. Great brunch spread!!! $16 a person and $8 for kids on Sunday with live music. I guarantee it beats out ANY brunch in town for the price. This establishment makes you feel at home and welcome with a great atmosphere and staff. I highly recommend to come here you will not regret it or leave hungry. Also their Bloody Mary's are awesome! They come with brisket on them... yes ON them!
Amazing brunch and open till 2pm. Buffet for 26 dollars, including drink and coffee. The brisket is the best I've ever tried. Food is great, atmosphere great, family friendly, and cool at the same time. We sat outside in the patio. Great way to end a San Antonio visit. Music great too.
I have raved about this place since I visited it my one and only time just over 6 years ago. I am not from San Antonio so that is why it has taken so long to get back. When going this time the service was great, smiles were big and bright. The brisket grilled cheese was delicious but not what I remembered. The last time I was here, I remember the meat being substantial and the bread could not contain all of the brisket. This time, it seemed as if the portion of brisket got much smaller. Made for a much easier to handle experience but when in Texas, and you're ordering a brisket grilled cheese, you want the brisket! I'm hoping it was just a one off, I will go back again... but I don't know that I'd go out of my way if they in fact did cut back in portions making it feel like a lunch menu portion at full price. Yes, I'd rather pay more for the bigger portion than look for the meat inside the bread.
Great atmosphere. Laid back. Amazing food truck serves you quickly and the drink selection is insane. They have a playground for the little ones. I would recommend that you get there early if you have children attending. Later at night kids are still allowed but it becomes more of an adult bar.
Food is ok, services varies depending on the day which is understandable. Great place if you want to out and bring your kids because they have an outdoor playground area.
I was overcharged on a recent visit. After overlooking my bank statement, it seemed there was an added tip on top of the 20% I originally gave. I contacted the manager, who initially said she would look into it, but I never received a follow-up despite multiple emails and calls. This was especially concerning since my husband had previously been double charged on a separate visit, which we assumed was a one-time mistake. Being ignored was extremely disappointing and unprofessional. I strongly recommend that customers carefully review their receipts and bank statements for any overcharges.
I’ll start with the good part. It’s a chill dive bar atmosphere. The rest: Service is terrible - They don’t want to take your orders. They forget what you ordered. Food is bad - Brisket nachos have old brisket, stale chips, and heated up/packaged cheese. Asian chicken sandwich has soggy bread and watery coleslaw. The chicken was barely warm but not the worst. If you just want to chill and get beer it’s a good place to anything else and you’ll be disappointed.
