This place is a gem! Great thai food with that street feel and super affordable prices! So far we tried most of the things on the menu and it's just so so tasty! The shop is inside of a liquor store so don't think you missed it haha There's usually plenty of street parking around. Also there are a few tables outside of you want to eat there which is nice. Highly recommend tom yum with shrimp - that's my favorite and it's only $5
This place was great! And yes, it's in the liquor store. I wa spet sitting for a friend nearby and had a taste for thai food and this place hit the spot. They have a great little spot in the back with a few seats. The liquor store seemed kind of dirty--it is a liquor store afterall-but the Thai place was clean and they had their own area in the back. I placed an order to go and tried their Tom Kha soup with chicken and the Pad Thai noodles with shrimp. The soup (see picture) tasted fresh and was very flavorful and the pad thai (see picture) did not disappoint either. Good size portions for the price. Everyone was very friendly over the phone and in person and I didn't have to wait long to pick up my food. I highly recommend this place for your local thai fix!
Excellent food & great quality! Flavorful, healthy, so fresh! Great value and such nice people working there. I've been many times and will continue to support this business. Love it! My only complaint is that sometimes you have to wait a long time for your food (45 mins. is normal at busy times).
Full disclosure, I gave five stars for atmosphere because the staff was super friendly and informative. This tiny gem is actually inside a liquor store in the back corner. We learned that there are actually two different outdoor seating options also, but we ate inside. There were seven of us and we had six different entrees. My wife and I each had spicy basil chicken, hers with brown rice and mine with steamed vegetables. It was really good, and definitely spicy! We had a couple of people who can’t eat spicy food and their food was just right for them! One had pad Thai and the other Gai Tod. The prices were very reasonable and this was just an overall great experience! We only ended up there because Juan Jasper had such a long line and Google Maps showed this place was within walking distance :)
Food is delicious 😋, I lived here all my life and just discovered my new favorite place. I should be gate keeping this spot, but I can't be selfish an decided to post about it. Food is delicious, service is amazing and I always pick up a key lime sorbet with chamomile from the liquor store.
As others have mentioned this is a funky hole in the wall place that serves Thai food. I ordered Tom Yum with chicken and Pad Thai with chicken. Soup came out quickly, was very good and came with lots of chicken chunks! Pad Thai was also very good; served deconstructed. I mixed it all together and enjoyed every bite! Only has 1 big booth, 2 four tops and a single 2 top, so seating could be an NJ issue during peak times. They do "to go" orders too.
I don’t know why it’s taken us so long to return. Maybe it’s because we are spoiled by a few other Thai spots closer to us and it’s easy to pick birria in this neighborhood. But we needed somewhere to eat one day that was something different than the last few meals and Thai just sounded good. We were quite happy to order the pad see ew with beef and the massaman curry. The Thai iced tea was perfect! I didn’t realize there was seating inside since we had previously ordered takeout, so we ate in and had zero leftovers to take home. We will definitely be back soon.
Hidden gem. Best deal in San Diego… Tom Yum soup under $6! Definitely helped me get over this cold 🙌 Will come back and try the $13.75 Mussaman Chicken Curry. 😍

Everything was great! The atmosphere was just as described. It's in the back of the store. It didn't take long to get my food and it was fresh and delicious. The ginger stir fry was just the right amount of heat and so yummy.
Hidden in the back of a convenience store, it's some of the best Thai food I've ever had. And the shop manager at the convenience store is friendly as well.
Amazing food, great customer service. Staff were very knowledgeable about gluten free options. So delicious, thank you!
Good job. Enough said. It's amazing food. They handled a refund amazingly. On top of all that brrn her multiple times and so delicious and consistent. Highly highly recommend.
I Love It ! I recommend the: Drunken Noodles Level of Spicy: Medium Protein: Chicken Who would of thought there woud be a restaurant in the back of a liquor store. It's a hidden gem! Loved it
A true neighborhood gem, hole in the wall-esque Thai spot in the back of a great little mini market. 2 tables inside, 4 picnic tables on the sidewalk (or do takeout) to enjoy delicious and fairly priced Thai food, like shrimp pad Thai and drunken noodles. Huge portions, enough for 2 meals!
Located in the back of a liquor store this place is a real hidden gem. I eat here 2-3 times a month minimum. I recommend the Green and Yellow Curry, get an extra side of rice.
Friendly and fast service. good food. Best thai tea ever!! I wish they brought the mango rice back but still highly recommend
This is my favorite spot right now. I order from here at least once a week. Green & yellow curry are excellent. Pad thai, very tasty. Tom kha and tom yum rock the house. But my favorite is the massaman curry. I love that you can sub rice for veggies, or get half rice & half veg. Great pricing for great food. The quality stays consistent. Oh yeah, good Thai tea as well!

Neat little place in the back of the liquor store! Drunken noodles were great, but Pad Thai lacked flavor. It didn't taste like Thai food. Given the prices, the food is still worth it. Plus the liquor store has a great selection of bears including Salty Crew and Cali Creaming.

Inside a convenience store! I almost didn’t find it. There is only whatever parking you can find on the street which is very limited. However, the service was great, fast, and the flavor was good! My first complaint is that they were out of wide noodles and I had no way of knowing that until I was physically in the store (ordered online) which they substituted with thin rice noodles (like pad Thai) which wasn’t the absolute end of the world but I probably would have gone elsewhere had I known. My second complaint is that they didn’t have mango sticky rice, and I was craving that 🥲 (this isn’t their fault though bc it’s not on the online menu, I was just hoping)

I ordered delivery. The Pad Thai was very disappointing... bland, not spicy as ordered, no peanuts. There was no silverware provided. The spring rolls were also mushy and small amount of dipping sauce. Tom Yum soup was acceptable. Disappointed.
Portion size was great. Service was friendly. But I gotta agree with some of the other reviews on here that it's simply not real Thai food. Just not that enticing of flavors unfortunately.

I've waited 4-5 orders before leaving this review because I so wanted to be wrong. The service is always good, food is ready when I get there, ordering is smooth, prices are good, people are nice... But the food just bland and not good. There just isn't much in the way of aromatics or spices. The meat is particularly unseasoned, like it's just steamed and mixed in at the end. Everything in the dishes tastes and looks steamed with some light sauce mixed in. There's never any signs of high heat stir frying, wok hei, or anything. It's like what thai food would be if you ordered it on temu. Or if it was a la croix flavor. Maybe this is what some people want? I've mostly ordered noodle dishes and always the spiciest option. So take with a grain of salt if you're ordering something else.
i usually love this spot and am a regular but not yesterday. i ordered a steamed tofu yellow curry and i only got 4 little pieces of tofu, two skinny pepper pieces and one overcooked pea i couldn’t eat due to it being so tough. i also ordered a chicken pad thai and got little to no chicken. you pay for whatever meat you get, it’s not a flat rate which makes sense but i i should get a proper portion. i was highly disappointed for the price. the prices have definitely raised but the portions have declined. very upsetting might be my last time due to this.
This place has really gone downhill in the past 2 years. The pad see ew noodles we received tonight via doordash was completely false advertising. The noodles were the thin pad thai noodles instead of the wide pad see ew noodles and the chinese brocolli was missing. There was also barely any flavor. We will never order from them again. Save your money and order elsewhere.
Messed up our order, food was bland, no flavor at all. Called to get a refund for the order that was wrong and they did not do anything about it. Won’t be eating here again.
