Local spot that has one of the best whiskey selections I've seen in the whole world. The pricing is a bit questionable. But there are several diamonds in the rough. If you want to try something new, this is a great place to do it. The bartenders are friendly and knowledgeable. Its a great place to hang out even if you aren't into whiskey. Great spot!

If you haven’t been to Aero Club Bar, THIS IS FOR YOU. Off the bat, free popcorn and cookies at the door. Who even does that, I felt so incredibly at home as a fellow popcorn gremlin. A huge selection of whiskeys and promotions- we came on Whiskey Wednesday where we had two options of alcohol, 5/6 for a single or 8/10 for a double in any well drink. What an amazing price, especially in THIS economy?!? Every single staff member was amazing but my girl Lee was serving charisma, uniqueness, nerve, and talent (C.U.N.T). She was so sweet, sassy, and answered all our questions. TIP HER WELL SHES THE BEST!!! Also, if you like Dave and Busters there are a HUGE selection of games, and they have a similar power card system. If games aren’t for you, enjoy the BEAUTIFUL scenery inside - seriously the lights are stunning- and there’s plenty of great outdoor seating. A huge plus if you come here on your birthday :) I felt so loved and welcome and I will coming back here 1000 more to eat cookies and popcorn, drink whiskey, and lose myself in conversation with Lee

If you're looking for pure FUN, Aero Club is where you need to go. My boyfriend and I seriously can't get enough of this place — it's our go-to escape. The vibe is electric, full of great energy, and incredibly social. We've met so many fun, interesting people just hanging out near the iconic whiskey bar — which, by the way, has one of the most impressive whiskey selections in town! We love starting the night with a little friendly competition — pinball, Mario Kart, basketball — before heading to the food truck for what has easily become our favorite: the smoky burger (trust me, it's a must-try 🔥). The whole place is a perfect blend of casual and cool. The staff here takes the experience to the next level. The bartenders are always on point — super friendly, attentive, and you can tell they love what they do. The bar manager, Lee, runs a tight ship: everything's clean, organized, and the whole team seems genuinely happy to be there. Special shoutouts to Kaylee, Eva, and Izay — who literally went above and beyond when I lost my phone one night and didn't stop searching until it turned up. Such a relief! Even when it’s busy (and it does get busy — it's that popular), it never feels overwhelming or overcrowded. There’s always a great mix of games, people, and that laid-back-but-lively atmosphere that keeps us coming back. Snag the pool table if you can — it’s a fun bonus. How have I lived in San Diego this long and just now discovered Aero Club Bar? This place is the dive bar jackpot: cheap drinks that don’t taste cheap, a bartender who’s basically your new best friend, and enough games to turn a casual stop-in into an all-night arcade crawl. We’re talking pool, pinball, ski ball, a basketball machine—basically Chuck E. Cheese for grown-ups… but with whiskey. The food truck out back reminds me of bars Austin TX —a step above bar food that hits the spot — like the universe just knew you’d need a bite between ski ball battles. If you’re into overpriced cocktails and curated playlists, keep walking. But if you want a no-frills, all-fun, what-the-heck-have-I-been-missing kind of night? Aero Bar’s the move.

The first great impression my girlfriend & I had was from the valet Roman Canaan. He was very kind and was great at parking with dignity and respect. Kaylee Danielle the bartender was a nice vibe and very efficient at servicing multiple guests with grace & ease. Jerich hiatt from the food truck solidified this a successful date night for my lady and I because the food was absolute 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 We had the Chilé Relleno Burger and Mushroom burger + fries. Red wine, charbroiled burgers, video games and vibes. This place is an absolute blast—I can’t recommend it enough! Whether you’re grabbing a few drinks or celebrating something special, the service, food, and drinks are top-notch. There's so much room for activities (pool tables, great music, arcade, outdoor seating, food truck). The vibes are immaculate all around. I hosted my birthday here, and the staff went above and beyond to make sure we had an amazing night. Mac was fantastic in securing a spot for our group of 20 and helping with the table setup, while Aaron made coordinating the food a breeze. Everything was perfect from start to finish!

Saw this bar off the highway many times while I lived in SD and never made the way over. I was in town for work training and thought I'd visit while I had the chance. I'm glad I did. This place is a dive in all of the good ways. Cheap drinks, great atmosphere, good service and just a great vibe. It's deceptively large inside with 3 sections and a outdoor patio with a food truck. I didn't get a chance to eat there but the menu looked great. This is a definite afternoon pre game bar and must stop if you're in town for the weekend.

Really fun bar, probably my favorite arcade bar in all of San Diego (even more so than Coin Op because Aero isn't even close to as crowded, many of the games are open even on a Friday night). They have some really neat games like dart throwing that tracks your points automatically and a ton of pinball machines. There's also classic Mario Kart and even a golf simulator. You need to get a game card to play the games, and each game has a different cost. The bar itself is decorated really nice, and the drinks are around the usual for a bar nowadays ($12-16). The service is great, and there's some pretty good drinks. They also have free popcorn! Parking is next to the bar, and there's plenty of spots.

I always try to go the Aero Club before I fly out of SAN It's My favorite bar in San Diego! not just a whiskey bar. but if you like whiskey this bar has it all! Also they have a fantastic food truck with Smoked BBQ. Call ahead the food truck was not open when I visited. Excellent beer selection on tap too! Happy hour prices are fantastic! Aero Club also has a robust WiFi connection, so I was able to get some work done before my flight. Lastly there is an unbelievable selection of new and vintage Pinball games! not to be missed!

Have been enjoying coming here for a few years, but ever since the remodel, they have turned down the volume of the pinball machines to an almost inaudible level. Imagine playing James Bond and barely be able to hear the iconic music! It's disappointing and leaves me unsatisfied. Of course staff can't do anything about it since the machines are managed by a third party. Based on that, I'm saddened to revise my review from 5 stars to 3. Still a nice spot, just not as fun anymore. :(

The staff is friendly, the prices are very reasonable and the whiskey selection is really good. That being said, The Aero Club used to be an awesome place. It had soul. Now it feels more like Dave and Busters, so if you like Dave and Busters, you will probably like the Aero Club.

I recently visited my favorite dive bar in SD and discovered that they basically ripped the heart outta the place! They have turned the best dive bar into what appears to be a night club with no warmth or soul. I’m am just devastated. Not sure if I’ll ever return. The drinks are still good and the staff and bartenders are wonderful but why oh why did you have to ruin something that was familiar and so unique to San Diego? Update: Thank you for addressing my concerns with ChatGPT…. Makes me dislike the even more….way to go.
