Tried this new place and it did not disappoint. Delicious seafood and very friendly and welcoming staff.
Finally found a place where it doesn't cost an arm, and a leg to enjoy really good mariscos. Prices are very affordable compared to other places. Great service, great food. I will definitely comeback to enjoy their delicious mariscos...
Great drinks and good food. After 6 PM they have a stadium where they played life bands. They have all kinds of different seafood and other kinds of meat. Everything was so full of flavor and they have like six different flavors of hot sauce. The server was extremely attentiveand did not pressure us to buy more. I absolutely loved the atmosphere. They even have singers that come up and dance and sing for you. If you give them a tip, which makes the experience much more enjoyable.
The place fills up quickly. Looks like a popular spot for friends, couples, and some families. There was a band playing, keeping the customers animated. The servings were big, and the dish presentations were all out. The food was good. It's definitely a place to check if you like sea food.
This is the best Seafood restaurant by far, the server guy was extremely fast and helpful also time consuming ( buddy you have a wonderful future) I’m from vegas came twice to this place with my wife I’ll definitely return) *********************************************** Went back after 2 years, still the same very nice and delicious foods
Food was delicious! If you're around San Diego (this is not your typical gas lamp district restaurant) and are looking for authentic and delicious Mexican seafood, I highly recommend this place for the tasty seafood dishes. I had agua chile, shrimp taco dorado and taco governador. All dishes were delicious! Ice cold beer and attentive customer service! They have live music too, not sure what days. I will definitely go back to this small restaurant.
Shrimp so fresh I made the heads bathe in a small pool of Chile before I ate them. Agua Chile shrimp, and the 6 species of of clams fell out the shells and the buckets of beers and Mexican Sugar Cane Cokes will be enough to bring me back for more. Never judge a book by its cover save yourself the work and get over here and peel some shrimp and shuck some shells.
Came in for the oysters but they didn’t have any. Ordered a campechana and was satisfied.
I go to a school near by and me and my friends went for lunch one got carne asada fries the other got a carne asada burrito I got ceviche I felt okay stomach was a little messed up but my friends felt extremely sick after eating the carne asada so beware
I was asked to go here and order food for my friend. I had seen this place but never been. I go and it's Full of families and friends/ sitting/ eating/ drinking and listening to the music. Oh and let me add it's very well kept to be a small place. I go to the front and there are 3 ladies and 2 of the 3 keep coming to the cash register to either cash out a order or get menus etc. No one makes eye contact/acknowledge my presence. Now to they credit there was a full house, but to see someone standing right in front of you is crazy. I chopped it up at first but when you walk around me to serve someone you don't say NOTHING. Finally I say Excuse me are you not taking orders right now? The 3rd lady who (Come to find out is the owners daughter) and had been pushing out orders and was honestly not rude and said "Give me a moment " after a while she came and had food in her hand for Doordash and the driver came a lil after, she took my order and soon after another Doordash person came. I was on the phone expressing to my friend that I will never come here again that I feel as if they didn't want my Black Business and they're prejudice. The lady who took my order reacted and rightfully so might I add, but not because what I said about MY EXPERIENCE was wrong, I feel it's because I am 100% correct, anytime someone has to mention that they have "Black" friends or family seals the deal. She also mentioned that they had a LINE OF DOORDASH orders. Not the "2" orders 1 for Jacqueline that was ready as soon as I walked up and for sure not the one that came 5 mins later after I had finally ordered for Edward who had to wait for it to get done. She could've simply did the simple thing and said NOTHING or say something more business oriented on the lines of "We did the best we could and that we will take your experience into consideration ". But nope she decided to defend the BS with BS.
Food is above average. That's the good thing. The bad thing is they're bait-and-switch tactics. Case In point, their own website states that their shrimp burrito is $9.99. When in actuality, it's $16.99. I found this out when I looked at the cash register screen and it said $16.99 VS $9.99. I then pointed this out to the cashier. And she stated that they recently changed the prices and she pointed at the in restaurant menu. I then. Said well, I hope it's a good burrito and she said oh, it is so I go back to work and start eating it. And then I note that the shrimp was actually breaded and not just shrimp. And I can taste that the oil that the shrimp was fried in was stale, as the shrimp had a mild bitterness. Me and some of my coworkers had gone there a few times before. And I always ordered the Marlin tacos which are good. Now, with that said, I made the mistake of going there on Sunday, they had a live band and the music was so insanely loud. I had to practically kiss the order taker so she could hear me. And it was really not a good experience. As I brought my girlfriend there and we couldn't even talk to each other. We had to text each other and we were sitting right across from each other. But she was a good sport about it and even requested a song, until she found out the price for that was going to be $20. So with that said, there are many other places out there, better than this one. And without the bait-and-switch pricing tactics.
