Avis sur Pho Ca Dao & Grill San Diego
Great experience. Quick seating, service with a smile. The salt and pepper wings were pretty good 4/5. Pho was excellent this visit, much improved from prior experiences. 4.5/5. They had a cool little robot that helps carry trays to customers. Menu is extensive, but almost always visit for the pho. Vietnamese iced coffee was served traditional style (not premixed/made in the kitchen). 5/5 Overall experience was excellent. Highly recommend 5/5.
I had phò for the first time and it was delicious! The Service here was good. I got seated right away and served right away. The menu for the Phò section was simple to order from. 😋 I Highly Recommend The Jack Fruit Bobba Smoothie here, it's my favorite.
Sometimes a meal just matches your mood exactly. The vegetable tofu pho was so nourishing and clean tasting, great flavor and fresh veggies. The lemongrass grilled rib eye was deep and rich and hardy, and the grilled chicken spring roll we're freshly made, the grilled chicken was slightly smoky perfectly complemented by the hoison sauce. Just a great meal.
We love this place! We went to Pho Ca Dao at Mission Valley before. The decorations in Mission Valley is newer and more modern, we also love they have a full bar there. But this one only serves beer. It’s fine because the foods here are as delicious as the one in Mission Valley, we ordered a shrimp spring roll, a vermicelli salad bowl, and an oxtail pho soup. We enjoyed all the food. If you haven’t tried this place, you have to. I think they are one of my favorite Vietnamese restaurants in SD. Plus their service is nice, they have a cute robot server!
First time here and it was good experience. You’re able to choose whether you’d like to dine inside or outside in their nice patio. Plenty of TVs showing multiple sports to accommodate everyone. The regular N5 with extra noodles filled me up and I eat a good amount. If you’re in the area definitely recommend swinging by and giving this place a try.
Being a first time visitor this is a great place to eat. The food made fresh. Nothing cold here unless you order a drink. The soups are incredible, flavorful and delicious. They have Large and Regular. Large if you have a appetite. Regular will be pretty filling as well. Clean bathrooms. Family friendly. Staff and management team seems to be very nice. Would have liked to have seen the manager before I left just to compliment him about the food. The veggie rolls are amazing. Served hot. Great sauce. Would love to go back and try out something else.
N18. Lemongrass Grilled Ribeye Steak Pho is really tasty. I recommend trying this. Also, A3. Protein Crispy Rice Cake (Chicken) is good for an appetizer. Cucumber 🥒 Cooler is good for refresh.
We might have knocked them off their rhythm a little bit. We were one of the first customers before the lunch rush and we asked to sit outside on the patio because it was a gorgeous 85° December day and we had to ask for everything Sriracha and hoisin sauce, and a spoon for the pho and napkins and everything and everything was a separate trip for the poor servers, but we were happy as little clams out there and we saw one of the most amazing scenes of our lives. We parked next to this Dodge Challenger brand new, totally wrapped in Deadpool plus a red fuzzy Rudolph nose for some reason and we were individually to ourselves, imagining the owner of this car, probably being like a young roided out loudmouth. Maybe someone a little douchey? Someone who probably blasts the stereo and is really you know like look at me kind of a personality. I mean this car was loud. So of course we almost died when we saw this little old Asian man super sweet and quiet walk over and get in his car and drive away. Hahaha it made our day.
Pho Ca Dao - Comfort in a Bowl, Bright and Early Pho Ca Dao never disappoints! The pho here is absolutely delicious—rich, savory broth with just the right balance of spice and freshness. The beef was tender and thinly sliced, and the herbs and toppings came crisp and vibrant, just begging to be stirred in. One of the best parts? They open early! It’s the perfect spot to grab a warm, comforting bowl of pho to start your day right. Service is quick and friendly, and the space feels laid-back and welcoming. Whether you're an early bird or just in need of a reliable, tasty bowl of pho, Pho Ca Dao hits the spot every time.
Good place. Stopped by for the first time for lunch and everything was good for me. Had the rare steak phô, the chicken banh mi, and the beef vermicelli. Both were good. I’ve had better phô and the banh mi was tastier. My girl had some other stuff and she said it wasn’t good. I tasted her stuff and it wasn’t bad. It’s what is normally expected of the taste. Maybe it’s cuz she set her expectations too high or she’s too spoiled. But her items were fine. Service was good.
Ambience is good, dined in for the robot servers experience, did not get any, I was served by human servers, did saw some service by the service robot to some customers. Ordered Veg Pho with firm tofu and grilled tofu spring rolls. The pho had less soup, loaded with boiled carrots and noodles. I eat pho for the soup so was disappointed there. The spring rolls were stuffed with noodles, sauce was okay.
Food was "enjoyable" but not a "wow". If you are a regular visitor of the Westminster area for pho then you may be a little let down. However it was still good enough to invite the in-laws here. The fried tofu appetizer was over fried. Chicken wings with fish sauce were good. The robots delivering your food were annoying and inefficient. Toilets were clean.
First I'll say the food is pretty good. Nothing wrong with the food at all. The issue was the service. First I waited like 5 minutes before I had to ask someone for the menu. When my food came, it took so long until I could get their attention so I could get utensils/napkins. I realize we're in a covid era, but there wasn't that many customers and it just seemed like they weren't taking it seriously. It took me and the group next to me 3 times asking until we finally got some hoison sauce.
Oder pho soup and egg rolls for carry out. Paid online and when I got there they charged me more money stating price changed. This is bad business for what is stated you should not pay more. The pho soup lacked flavor and could have been warmer. The egg rolls my wife thinks were good but I have had better. We both agree that we both have had better pho soup.
The food is good but do not order online. They charge 3 additional fees. A 'convenience fee' plus a 'carry out fee' followed by a 'pick up fee' once you arrive. The fees totaled roughly $4 additional dollars. This is prior to any tip if you feel so inclined on a take out order. Might as well ordered through uber or doordash same cost
We came here today just for a casual meal. It took 10 minutes before anyone even brought us a glass of water. The soup noodles had yellowish, not-fresh broccoli, and the carrots had a sour, spoiled taste. We mentioned this twice, and eventually the supervisor only replaced the broccoli and carrots. Honestly, I won’t be coming back here again.
My son and I eat at the Mira Mesa location every Thursday. We usually order the chicken pho and rare steak pho. We decided to order our pho to go. When we got home they didn't add the rare steak. I called and let them know. I asked if I needed to take a picture and was told I needed to send a picture of the broth. Nothing else. My husband went to pick up what should have been a new order, as every restaurant does, but was sent raw meat. I went to ask for a refund and they told me I had to bring back the entire order. I took them back the raw meat. The least they could have done is sent new broth. So I then told them I wanted my whole order refunded. They called the owner, Duke, and he said I could contact his attorney! I was accused of lying. This restaurant has lost two loyal patrons that ate there every Thursday. We would sometimes go in twice a week. We took all our family to try pho.
