Here, I have had several entrées: tom kha, vegetable delight, green curry, yellow curry and brown rice; I am thoroughly impressed with each to say the least. I would recommend this restaurant to my closest friends.

Such good Thai food! Best panang curry we have ever had, the drunken noodles were also really good. My son got the satay chicken, which came with a delicious and generous portion of peanut sauce and a cucumber salad. He’s a picky eater but he loved it. Highly recommend!

Delicious lunch at Social Thai in Ocean Beach! Just a few minutes’ walk from the beach. We loved the summer melon and Moscow mule cocktails. The pad see ew and Thai ka pow will leave you craving more. Beautiful indoor space and dog-friendly outdoor seating. Quick, friendly service. Highly recommend!

What a wonderful addition to the OB dining scene. We experienced Social Thai Kitchen in their dining room for dinner service (there is a good amount of patio seating if you like to enjoy the weather). Staff was extremely welcoming and friendly, and they were very attentive throughout our meal. We ordered a green tea and Thai iced coffee for beverages and for meals ordered pra ram with tofu & white rice as well as some sweet sausage fried rice. The pra ram was made to order in terms of level of spiciness and was served with a rich and flavorful peanut sauce and just the right amount of broccoli, carrots, and spinach. The sweet sausage fried rice was just how you'd get it in southeast asia. Sweet, spicy, and rich in flavor. Ambiance and decor is very calm and soothing. Overall we had a great experience dining and will be back in the future.

We’ve been loyal customers of Thai Social for a long time and truly love this place. We live just down the street and often order takeout from the to-go area next door, which has always been an exceptional experience, friendly, quick, and consistently delicious food. Unfortunately, our recent dine-in visit for my birthday was a letdown. The service felt very lackluster. Our server seemed disengaged and disinterested, which made the whole experience feel a bit uncomfortable. We’ve had her as our server before, and it’s always been the same vibe..low energy, no warmth, and little effort to make guests feel welcome. It honestly makes it hard to tip the 25% I normally do, because the experience just feels so flat. To make matters worse, my son ordered the Tiger Steak, which on the menu is shown as a thick, juicy cut that looks at least 16 ounces. What arrived was maybe 8 ounces at best, cooked well-done instead of medium, and so dry and tough that he couldn’t even chew through it. He gave it an honest try, but after struggling with one piece for 10 minutes, we had to send it back. That said, we still care about this restaurant. The food is usually great, and we hope Thai Social continues to thrive in the neighborhood. But I do hope they take this kind of feedback to heart, especially for dine-in guests and special occasions, because it really does make a difference.

She didn't want to split our bill so it created chaos with the group. It seemed as though she may have been more concerned about her convenience. When they say they can't it isn't accurate and somewhat dishonest. Anyone can print those out separately. They may not want to but they can! Overall positive experience and I would come back again.
