Excellent Baita restaurant with traditional food. Everything was very good, the service was fast and friendly. Very nice location and fairly easy to get to. A little pricey, but manageable.

The food was very good, with slightly high prices for the location but in line with the quality. A liter of house wine costs €10, which is a bit steep. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The restaurant is accessible by car, although the parking lot is small.

The restaurant has an amazing location, next to the trails going up the mountains. The food comes at decent prices and the staff is really nice. The cheese platter is really delicious and the chef seems to be a creative person :) I would recommend the ravioli, tagliatelle funghi or if you are really brave, try the blueberry risotto(it is actually blue)! When you eat at the restaurant you get a ticket for your car and can park right next to the restaurant, closer to the trails than staying at the parking lot.

A fantastic, cozy stay. A classic mountain hut with a very friendly atmosphere. The best typical regional cuisine, such as pizzoccheri, brasato, porcini mushrooms, polenta, and much more.

A fairytale place. For mountain lovers, outdoor walks, good food and tranquility, it's the perfect place. Personally I prefer it in spring where through the path immediately after the hut you can reach the generous mountain enjoying a splendid view, go back and send it to the hut. A family place, you feel like you're at home with friends while you have those meals with a thousand laughs and light-heartedness. The owners of the cabin are exquisite people and ready to satisfy every need. The cabin also has beautiful rooms if you want to stay overnight. The best!

Baita accogliente e con molti tavoli, sia all'aperto che all'interno. Il menù ha buone scelte tradizionali, ma l'ho trovato un po' troppo caro per la località e per le porzioni proposte ( tutti i piatti sono almeno sui 10€).

"CONFORTEVOLE" Un ambiente veramente confortevole all'interno di piccole stanze comunicati. Il servizio è stato veloce, cortese e disponibile. Ottimi affettati e un plauso ai Pizzoccheri che sono stati eccezionali. Torte fatte in casa. Buon rapporto qualità - prezzo.

The refuge is beautiful and the atmosphere is pleasant. We really appreciate the house wine and the desserts, which are truly excellent. Unfortunately, the main courses were a bit disappointing. The portions aren't as generous as you'd expect from a trattoria or mountain refuge. The polenta, while good, was also a bit bland. Overall, it was a decent experience, but there's room for improvement, especially in the cuisine.

The restaurant features cozy rooms and glowing fireplaces: certainly a great calling card, especially on cold days like today, when the roads were icy and you had to walk the last stretch of icy road to reach it (we had to travel about 2 km further by motorcycle than by car, just to be safe). Since the place is called a "baita," we would have expected a more homey, less restaurant-like menu. The appetizer of cured meats and cheeses was a bit disappointing, as were the desserts, despite them being homemade. The risotto was certainly good but nothing special. We would have expected lower prices. The staff was kind and professional. Overall, nothing memorable, except for the certainly evocative location among the snow-capped mountains.

You know, taste and satisfaction are very subjective. I can't say the place and the food are poor, but personally I don't think I'd go back. We got recommendations for this place from people who, it turned out, had never actually eaten there, which made me a little angry, especially since we were on the balcony in Lanzo and had to travel quite a distance to get there. We wanted a mixed cured meats and cheeses, but we were immediately told they don't do mixed cured meats, but we had to order as per the menu: a cured meats appetizer and a cheese appetizer, and oh well! The cured meats were adequate, but nothing special, and also in short supply. If I had to compare them with the cured meats offered by a farmhouse restaurant in the Piacenza area, with fried gnocco, there's no comparison. Those are local cured meats, very different from the more commercial ones. Everything was accompanied by a small bowl of giardiniera, also industrial, the kind you can only taste a lot of vinegar. Unfortunately, I wanted to order pizzoccheri, my favorite dish, but because it's my favorite, I've become a bit picky. If it's not fresh pizzoccheri, I don't like them, and in this place, the pizzoccheri are industrial-strength. We had the risotto with cheese, speck, and berries; it wasn't bad, perhaps a little too much red fruit compote and a little too little speck, which was only on top (see photo), but... But... I wonder, why do mountain restaurants, which are supposed to be rustic even in their food, frequented by cyclists, motorcyclists, and hikers, have to insist on giving their cuisine this pseudo-gourmet feel? This word is then misinterpreted, and it happens that, in places like these, where you should wake up feeling half-baked, that gourmet attitude makes you end up wanting to go and eat a sandwich with salami. If you eat the full menu from appetizer to dessert, you probably won't need the salami, but that would mean you'd end up spending about €60 per person, which isn't exactly appropriate for a restaurant like this in a place like this. The risotto got stuck in my throat, it went down in a flash, and the €15 charge for that flash is sobering... thank goodness we were on a motorbike and not coming from a tiring hike or, worse, a bike ride. Where have all the mountain trattorias gone?

Siamo stati qui a pranzo durante una camminata, era infatti uno dei due locali disponibili in località Orimento. Purtroppo siamo rimasti delusi e probabilmente non torneremo. Va detto che il locale è grazioso e anche l'ambiente circostante, e che il servizio è discreto. Ci sono però anche note stonate: abbiamo preso delle tagliatelle ai funghi che erano salatissime e con pochi funghi, un risotto taleggio e frutti di bosco accettabile, un brasato con polenta e un filetto senza infamia e senza lode. I prezzi però sono generalmente piuttosto alti per il luogo, le porzioni ridotte e la selezione limitata. Abbiamo anche ordinato un buon vino da 30 euro ma sarebbe apprezzato avere anche qualche scelta a buon mercato. Speriamo che il feedback vi aiuti a migliorare e vi auguriamo comunque tutti i successi.
