My wife and I hosted our wedding dinner reception at Beach Chalet, reserving one of their private rooms called The Cove for 35 guests. This restaurant holds special meaning for us—it’s where we had our first dinner date—so it was the perfect spot to celebrate. The event coordinator, Kirsten, was incredibly attentive and helped us plan every detail, from the table setup to a custom-curated menu. The food was outstanding, and the oceanfront views—especially at sunset—were simply unbeatable. The staff went above and beyond to make our evening special. They allowed us to bring our own speaker for music and dancing, and the service throughout the night was thoughtful and seamless. Carlos, the manager, was especially friendly and accommodating. He made sure everything is well organized and runs smoothly. He even took complimentary photos of us and our guests with his DSLR and shared them afterward. We had a wonderful time and wholeheartedly recommend this place for private events.

Beach Chalet Brewery & Restaurant offers the perfect combination of great food and stunning ocean views. We enjoyed a half dozen oysters to start, and they were fresh and delicious—the perfect way to kick off our meal. The grilled Branzino was a standout, cooked to perfection with a buttery, delicate flavor that melted in each bite. We also shared a side of savory mushrooms, a shrimp and crab cake that was absolutely killer, and some local beers that were the ideal refreshment alongside the meal. The crab bisque was rich and flavorful, and the crab carbonara turned out to be a hidden gem—creamy, packed with crab, and incredibly satisfying. With breathtaking views of the ocean and a fantastic lineup of dishes, Beach Chalet is a must-visit when in San Francisco. Can’t wait to go back!

I had a wonderful experience here, where I met up with a friend and her partner. There was plenty of parking, and even without a reservation, we were seated right away. The staff was friendly and welcoming, and the menu had a great selection of food. We split an appetizer and ordered a few entrées—the short ribs with mashed potatoes were excellent, especially on a cooler night. The highlight, though, was the breathtaking view. As the sun set, we had the perfect view of the ocean, creating an unforgettable atmosphere. All in all, it was the perfect setting for great friends, good conversation, and delicious food. I’d definitely return!

One of the nicest dinning places in Richmond area. As we were having dinner here though we were given a window seats unfortunately it's just pitch dark outside and no much of the views. But i can imagine it will be awesome during the day. The restaurant has a live band performance at night. It was rather busy on Friday night. Reservation is recommended. The place had this lively vibes. We ordered some starters, calamari, clam chowder few main cause to share. The grilled whole was really good, the sea foods stew was delicious and the sides of mushrooms and spinach were all good. The service staff were friendly and helpful. The service was also very fast. We didn't have to wait too long for our foods. Overall we had a great time here.

At least four stars, but not five. This restaurant could survive on setting alone, but it's better than that. Food is consistently good...some of it very good. Menu is varied with decent starters and good choices. Bar is very good. Service is good and sometimes very good. Setting is outstanding. We take out of town visitors there. Prices are reasonable.

I only gave 3 stars because flank steak just isn't anything compared to a T-bone or a ribeye. For a $40 breakfast you should get a T-bone or a ribeye‼️‼️‼️ My steak was well done I asked for medium well The breakfast potatoes are fried instead of smothered You know Fried a little bit adding water letting it steam until they're soft with the bell peppers and onions Overall the food was good but the potatoes were undercooked and not seasoned (still hard) Seafood next time I'll have to try the crab carbonara and I'm not sure what else I noticed the water sitting out on my way out, I'm not feeling that but this not my business establishment. Drink it at your own risk.

I brought a friend here for her birthday. I thought it would be a lot better. Service was OK not great, took a long time to get our drinks. I had a 11am reservation and had to wait for them to clean and set a table, not very professional if you ask. Now the food was pretty good, though my friends sausage was cold, but didn't want to complain about it. I may go back and try something else.

The number one reason I picked this place is the somewhat easy parking compared to anywhere else in SF (I went with a group of 5 with one elderly) The experience turned out pleasant. - Seated near the window with later sunset view and also near a live music band (check their schedule online) - Foods and drinks suit my family taste: not overly seasoned, good portion. - Service is fairly fast considering this restaurant is hustling bustling. Waiter is very kind. - Recommend booking near sunset time so you can just walk right down stairs for the scene. Will definitely come back.

God I would love to give 5 stars, everything was incredible! The food was obviously a little overpriced but still very delicious. Amazing sourdough bread, I had the crab melt which was beautiful and the view and seating was also top tier! BUT for a Brewery … the beers don’t taste good at all, we tried 3 different ones. Part was probably that the carbonation was too little. Overall great experience, next time wine 🤣🙌🏽

I’ve been here many times. Usually in downstairs. Decent atmosphere. Nice fireplace. And sitting outside on the grass can be fun on a sunny day. Last visit food was meh. Greasy fish and chips and the brussel spriuts were too saturated. Twice we asked the waitress for first a coke refill then later another glass of wine. She forgot both times. Meh.

I was very disappointed by my visit here. The facilities and the restaurant were very nice, and the views are spectacular. Don't even think of getting a window seat, unless you make a reservation. That was made known crystal clear upon seating. The service , and the prices were not worthy of the beauty and history of the building. The bottom floor is not the restaurant but I have included many photographs and videos of that area. A small glass of Coke cost $6.00 and that is without any refills. $12.00 for less than twelve ounces (total) of Coca Cola is pure greed. The service I received was nothing special either. Not once was any of our beverages asked to be refilled. The waitress passed by our table numerous times and not once asked if we would like a drink refill. When we finished our main course we had to ask if they had a dessert menu, or coffee as the waitress went straight to asking if we needed a box and wanted our check. Also, I had the fish and chips and I was highly disappointed by receiving three small pieces of fish. I have had fish and chips many times and was stunned by how small the serving was, in comparison. The cole slaw was pretty good. The sour dough bread was so mild I had to ask if it really was sour dough. Overall, the cost was about $80.00 and totally not worth it. You can get the same view at The Taco Bell Cantina on the beach. I won't bcome back as it was not worth the cost...

We started with mussels. They were large and meaty. The sauce was not great but good. We also got a side of sourdough bread which would fall into the same category. I had a Niçoise salad. The tuna was a little tough but had a good flavor and I’d say was very good. The green beans were raw, the potatoes were starchy, and the salad wasn’t dressed. I would put the overall salad as the worst nicoise I’ve ever had. It took a while to wave down the waiter who tried to wave off the problem by bringing me two sides of dressing. Would not recommend.

It's a great restaurant, especially with the nice view on a sunny day! In my experience with my partner, we requested a two person table by the window. We were told by the hostess, she has to seat according to party and that a certain section was closed off. Less than an hour goes by while we're eating our meal, a yt couple is allowed to be seated by the yt hostess in the area that was a "closed off" area by the window. NOT SAYING THE OBVIOUS. I would speak to a manager per seating accommodations, to see if you can sit in the good areas with views. Food was alright! Venue is classic. I felt discriminated against as a younger woman of color. Have a nice day!

I came here with my family on Sunday (1/18), we waited about 20 minutes but then decided to take food to go instead. The host informed us that we could order at the bar. When we went to the bar, the bartender completely ignored us. After waiting several minutes, we asked if we could place our order and were told he was "really busy" and that it would take a while. While the bar had customers, it was not overwhelmingly busy. We waited another 15 minutes and asked again if we could order, and once more were told he was too busy. At that point, it felt like he simply didn't want to help us, which was extremely frustrating and disappointing. The repeated refusal to help us gave the impression that the treatment may have been racially motivated. Having worked in the hospitality industry myself, I understand being busy, but bartenders are expected to manage multiple patrons at once. After the second attempt, we went back to the host to explain that we hadn't been helped. She was understanding and arranged for a waitress to assist us with our to-go order, which we appreciated. While the host and waitress were helpful, the experience at the bar left a very negative impression and needs to be addressed.
