Super yum! With so many old favorites closing down I am so glad this SF legend is still here. New ownership and new menu items are bringing in many changes, but the same rockstar cook is wielding the spatula. Though the spuds put this place on the breakfast map, I was delighted that crispy golden hash browns have finally arrived. I subbed them to enjoy with the Xoch omelette covered in the coveted housemade ranchero sauce. I could drink their strong coffee black, but, golly! the creamer arrived *warmed.* What?! Wow! Thanks for making my day. Here's to another three decades of excellence.
Great flavor, kind service, several vegetarian options, vibey neighborhood diner. If you like a Latin flair to your breakfast give this spot a chance, you’ll be happy you did.
Snazzy looking and makes a terrific first impression , just in terms of how it presents itself. It’s My favorite Latin American restaurant in SF for brunch ; the architecture within and without has style : wide open space, high ceilings are becalming ; the furniture - booths along with chairs and tables - is arranged as if we are in a neighborhood ! Come early morning to see the hood; my favorite food here is burrito stuffed with mushroom , black olives and cheese , topped with ranchero sauce ; the salsa sauce is flavorful without being spicy. Service is supremely friendly !
Great place for breakfast. They have all the classics: bacon and eggs, pancakes, omelets, etc. But they have some exceptional specialty dishes. We had the polenta and eggs and the soyrizo hash. The polenta sauce was so tasty! And the soyrizo was delicious and not the typical sodium death bomb. Highly recommend!!!
Food was absolutely delicious staff was very friendly Ordered the Tony’s special and the chilaquiles
Loved this place. Great atmosphere, greater food. The food seemed to be Cuban inspired. All of our plates delicious. I had the Chorizo Hash and Eggs, and Biscuit and Gravy, Nicky's Palenta, and Desayuno Tipico. We had a great waitress (sorry, can't recall name). Looking forward to returning!
I got the Egg Valencia - one of the very few well made English muffins with poached eggs. Their hollandaise sauce was spicy and supremely flavorful. Their Polenta and Eggs was also impressive. I loved the vibe of the place. Overall, one of the good brunch places in the city. Orange juice was super refreshing as well. :)
Popular brunch spot on Valencia in the Mission. Yummy food and drinks for a reasonable price (most entrees are between $8-12, mimosas are $6, Bloody Mary’s are $7). We ordered a quesadilla and the tofu scramble, both were very tasty and filling. Has several good vegan and vegetarian options and outdoor seating which is dog friendly
Fast and friendly service. Good food
Loved the food there, absolutely delicious and the portions were quite decent, we were stuffed by the end of the brunch! Staff were friendly though there was a queue for it, so definitely don't aim to go during popular times.
Really well done. Super simple breakfast spot with a diverse Latin menu. Service was prompt, food was delicious and portions massive. 11/10 would stop in again before watching carnival on a Sunday morning.

Great salsa music playing low enough for us to talk normally. Many vegan options. I had awesome soyrizo scramble with home fries. The restaurant occupies a former old style pharmacy with cool metal awning on the corner of Valencia and 22nd. Check it out.

Food was delicious and came out in a quick fashion. Very wonderful service
Food was great! Atmosphere was awesome and the sr RV ice was fast! Great vegan food . Polenta and eggs was great!
Been going here for years and see all the changes. But one thing has not changed is my love for their huevos rancheros. The sauce is good and perfect for a brunch with a couple pancakes order for the side
always love coming back here for breakfast and brunch. super sweet service and the food is so so good no matter what you get, some of the best comfort breakfast food here <3
Went in for a quick bite and discovered a great Cafe breakfast spot. Excellent coffee and good satisfying eats. Have to return and try some more of the menu out it all looked delicious.

Had a great omelette here and I also thought the home fries were delicious!
Good place to stop by for a cheap meal. Decent food but nothing amazing, the meal being $30 for 2 added the extra star. I had the huevos rancheros and she had some pancakes with fruit. Side note, I came here on a second visit with friends and appreciated the outdoor seating. They still needed some extra seasoning for the good and perhaps a bit more chorizo, but it was overall solid. Nice to visit on a warm day.
Casual, savory and variety. This place was great for "diner" style brunch. They have a great menu with a variety of vegetarian options. The Eggs Benedict were nicely poached with a creamy and slightly spicy hollandaise, plus the fruit was quite fresh! Unfortunately the coffee could have been better, otherwise it would have been perfect.
Great little diner spot for brunch in the mission! They've expanded their seating capacity a lot with the outdoor patio booths. No reservations so you have to sign up for a table on the clipboard when you arrive. We came for brunch around 11:30am on a Sunday and got seated within 10 min. Lots of tasty options on the menu, including multiple combinations of breakfast meals. I got the French toast with bacon and eggs, and my friend tried their eggs Benedict with a side of chorizo hash. Our food came out fast and the portions were big!
They have vegan options, chic urban vibe and great staff. I had the vegan polenta and enjoyed it. Looking forward to more vegan offerings and dessert options next time.
Nice diner food. Price is descent. Food came out fast. Good food to eat and nice atmosphere. Staff was friendly. I had the French toast with eggs and chicken apple sausage. My wife had biscuit and gravy with eggs. She didn’t love her meal but didn’t hate it. I enjoyed my meal and was full.

Eclectic spot with huge portions and bold flavors! The food was fantastic, and the coffee kept coming. Just be prepared for a bit of a wait and a noisy atmosphere—it’s popular for a reason!
