Avis sur Hot Sauce and Panko San Francisco
These looked so good in pics I had to try it! We door-dashed it as it is a to-go place. Wings were $8 for 6 wings of each flavor so price was reasonable. 1. Fire wings (Buldak) 2. Mango habanero 3. Panko The fire wings were my favorite, they were soo spicy yet flavorful, def keep water by your side before starting to have them! I’d say mango habanero was really good too, I think best way to describe it is it tasted exactly like Wingstop, which has a perfect balance of sweet and spicy. I was really thrown off by the panko wings since I usually don’t like dry wings but they were so crispy and the panko sauce with them was the perfect compliment. Definitely coming back here to try more flavors!
fish + chips, tenders + fries, lemon pepper, and korean wings were all FANTASTIC. 10/10 5 stars. everything was cooked so well, hot, fresh, and flavorful. hands down the best wings and tenders in SF.
This is a great hole in the wall to go eatery. Placed an order online during lunch and it was ready when I got there. There is only a door for pickup and no inside seating. Waffles were made fresh and as you see they give you butter and enough syrup for it. Waffles were buttery and flavorful. The wings were a perfect match. Chris’s salty and sweet wings had me wanting more. Make sure to call or order online first or you will most likely be waiting in line to order.
Easy online ordering, crispy crunchy delicious wings, fun flavors and affordable. Satay is BOMB. I would skip Chris’s and get more Lemon Pepper. Jerk wasn’t my fav, it was a bit too Christmas tasting for me and no heat. Slaw was really sweet if you like that… Want to perfect my order and make my way through all the flavors 😊
I love a no frills all attention on the food type of spot and thats exactly what I found at Hot Sauce and Panko while traveling through SF. The chicken wings were crispy + delicious and the waffle was buttery + fluffy. The next time I'm in the area I'd easily go out of my way to grab a bite there again.
Overall, the wings at Hot Sauce and Panko are very solid. The flavors are great, but I’d personally prefer them a bit hotter. The beer was definitely my favorite—smooth and refreshing. I also tried the Korean and Al Pastor flavors. The Korean was flavorful, but the Al Pastor didn’t quite hit the mark for me. Still, the wings themselves were crispy and juicy, and I’d definitely recommend them!
These are the best wings in the entire city. It's the only chicken wing shop that I think about. I am forever grateful that their prices are SO reasonable for the amazing quality. There are so many flavors to choose from but my favorite one is the Panko. There's no sit down area so I think that's how they keep operation costs lower. It's best to book it home to keep the wings fresh. You either order online or at the counter that blocks the door. There is absolutely no parking around there so good luck. I felt back for double parking in front of some person's driveway for pickup. I'm sure other people do that too for a 30 second pickup so I'm glad they are chill about it.
Chicken wings at their best... A simple food staple can only get this much flavorful, diverse, colorful and fun with variety of sauces. Not a big waffle person so i did not try waffles but they look great in other patrons baskets. Also they have fried chicken sandwich in brioche bun. Also if you are looking for some interesting hot sauce to purchase this place offers probably the best selection in the city.
This was the first time I’ve ever eaten from here and let me tell you, it did not disappoint. We ordered garlic soy maple, KFC, garlic bacon parm, old bay siracha Caramel, and lemon pepper. All of them were delicious but the soy garlic maple and old bay ones blew me out of the water. The garlic parm ones were highly anticipated but a tad bland in my opinion. Overall if you love wings, you’ll enjoy this place.
Duuuudeeee these wings were incredible!!! I got here at the end of the night right before closing on a Friday, ordered 3 different flavors of wings (the middle eastern inspired one, peppery bbq (Chris’s?), and hot honey spice, and even after over an hour walk home and slowly becoming cold, these still were some of the best wings I’ve had yet. 10/10, loved every bit. The middle-eastern spice ones were phenomenal, highly recommend!

The chicken was really crunchy and garlic soy flavor was great. About $9 for 5 wings You can save time by ordering online but either way the wait seems to be short. They have a window for ordering, no sit-down.

Hot Sauce & Panko is definitely top 5 wings in the city. From the size of the wings to the crispiness and flavor options you can’t go wrong here. Bourbon bacon wrapped is my go to always and now they have a hot version and a plain Jane bacon wrapped. This time around I also went with the waffle & wings combo. Tried the Al pastor and they were awesomeness. The last flavor which was basic but still perfection were the Salt and pepper wings. 15 premium wings and a waffle you can’t beat it. Have patience or go to wingstop!
I've walked past this neighborhood place dozens of times. There's always somebody waiting for their order at the window. It was time I tried it. No place to sit down, just pick up your order and go. About a 10 minute wait hanging out on the corner. I ordered the panko fried Chicken Sandwich with cucumber wasabi sauce. Very good. Next time I'll order a sauce with a little more spice.
I got the spicy chicken sandwich and some fries. The sandwich is really good and the sauce is a nice touch. The fries are thick and filling. I wish they gave you a box or bag for keeping everything warm. The sandwich cooled off pretty quick on the way home when ordering takeout.
place the order through a barricade reminiscent of the US border control. hear confirmation in a metallic screech through the plastic screen. get the wings in many flavors. travel away or face the street. dip the wings in tasty dips. enjoy. unique experience to say the least. some fire wings.
This place is good. What you need to know: there’s on two standing tables and the space in there is small. Get your stuff or order to pick up. We had the Green which was my favourite. The other three flavours we got was equally good, spicy and delicious. Go early or order them for pickup.
Little corner store with 2 stand up tables. 5 wings per order. They have varieties of flavors. I tried their Chris, Green, and Bacon wrapped Bourbon. Avg about $6.5 to $7 per order. Wing size is small to medium size. Not sure if I will come back anytime soon, tried tastier cheaper wings at other places.
You get a lot for your money. The chicken sandwich was pretty good and loved fry wedges instead of the regular straight cut fries. The only thing that could be improved is the wait time. Gives off vibes of spot locals go to.
well priced hole in the wall takeout restaurant serving some of the best wings in the city. some of the flavors are hit or miss but there’s so many you’re bound to find one you like. would come back to try out the other wings! mango habanero: my fav flavor of the three i tried. not too spicy but a good balance of heat and sweet. chris’s: second best flavor and would get again. on the dry side but the honey flavor was amazing green: would skip next time. wasn’t a huge fan of the flavor and the wings were bland if you didn’t eat the topping with it

Tasty wings in Russian hill. Korean fried chicken with a plethora of sauce choices. Their version of buffalo sauce was tasty not quite buffalo but still good. They offer a nice sized portion of sauce which is key. The salt and pepper wings were real heavy on the salt almost inedible. The wedge fries were awesome. Classic stuff. The coleslaw was disappointing. Hit or miss you should give it a shot.
The food was okay! I got a BBQ sauced chicken sandwich (one of three flavors), fries, and wing order with Chris’s sauce. Everything was lacking a pow factor. The wings with Chris’s sauce tasted like the sauce was water. It was quite flavorless which was disappointing. The fries were very good! More of a potato wedge style. The sandwich was like a “small” version of a normal fried chicken sandwich. The sandwich was good though and I would get that again if I was ever in a rush!

I ordered the chicken sandwich and it came really burnt. I had to take out the skin as it was inedible
