Great beef stew curry. Reminds of what I have in Tsui Wah chain in Hong Kong, except even spicier. Probably my favorite for "HK style" beef curry in the bay area.
Delicious dinner that is a step out of everyday.
yummy!
Had the braised beef lunch special, everything is tasty.
Found this spot recently and I’m already hooked! We tried the combo (rice rolls, siu mai, curry fish balls) and teriyaki chicken egg rice - everything was delicious and super authentic. Perfect if you’re craving real Hong Kong flavors! Service was incredibly warm and friendly too. Oh and they had super cute HK themed merch you could purchase as well - egg tart towel, packaged noodle towel, egg tart magnets, etc. Such a hidden gem, def worth a visit!
Love this place. You have to try the HK style french toast. It's amazing
Delicious food and friendly staff. Authentic HK style food with a variety of options.
The hospitality and quality of food here are really impressive. Highly recommend to try wanton noodle soup!!
Authentic hk food with friendly and quick service. Also super clean and affordable. I recommend wonton mein.
So good and such great service, beef noodles lasted us couple meals
So yummy!!! Truly one of the more authentic chaa Cheng tengs in sf :)
Authentic HK Style Food, very farm and good service.
Szechuan noodles were ah may zing hahahahaa, plus free drink for review El oh el

Love the noodle soup!
Love it!
Overall great food!
Everything here reminds me of home
Nice experience!
Love the menu design, the dishes, and the warm service. It was so cold when we entered the restaurant and was greeted with hot tea ~ Will definitely come back and hungry for more.
This is a legit HK cafe which the city could use more of! We enjoyed the satay beef and braised beef brisket noodle soups. Both were excellent and had very savory, delicious soup and tender chunks of meat. I also really liked the HK milk tea which *of course* was not too sweet. The absolute highlight was the egg tarts (dan ta) for dessert. Absolute perfection. Looking forward to trying more things on the menu soon!
Authentic HK food, especially the wonton noodle, same ingredients as the ones in HK. Wish they also have more items though, like the baked pork chop rice
Yum!!! Hk cafe, super yummy hk milk tea. Im definitely coming back in the morning and trying the toast with it next time. The soups were a good portion and hearty. The curry fish balls were tasty. I would come back again!
LetsSweet took over the spot from Beyond Cafe, and they're doing pretty well! I enjoy their cart noodles and curry brisket, and the servers are nice and quick. Highly recommend!
Very delicious and home style Hong Kong favorites!
i eat lunch here about 3 times per week. every dish has been good. very friendly service. one of my preferred hk-style milk teas in sf.
I was just walking to Costco for groceries, and I suddenly got hungry. Thankfully, I smelled something amazing, and it was the restaurant! From the get-go, everything was a masterpiece. Starting from the entree to the drink, I thought I was back in Hong Kong. Props to the chef who made me felt back home in SF. You should give it a try!
SOOOOOO tasty! Got the cart noodles with thick egg noodles and clear broth, the HK milk tea, and the mango panna cotta. Everything was tippy tops. Thank you, will be back! Update: I’m back the next day. Wonton noodles and the spaghetti plate. May this place be here forever
Dropped by the other day and order their wonton noodles- BEST IN THE BAY!!🔥🔥you can taste the authenticity in their food and how they make everything with love. Would come again🙌
Delicious food! Really liked the noodles. The duck was juicy and the noodles were fresh. Highly recommended!
Loved the pork jowl & tong yum noodles! Hk milk tea was also not too sweet
EVERYTHING! Everything reminds me of HomeKong! Like the pig jowl with rice in particular. Will definitely go again and again and again. Totally forgot to take any photos. Just eat and eat and eat…
Excellent milk tea and duck noodles here! Not heavy at all and really does the job. Would come back.
Same owners of beyond cafe - love their wontons and cart noodles! Reminiscent of my childhood at ABC cafe
This cozy Hong Kong eatery in San Francisco left a great impression. The black truffle siu mai was a delightful twist on the classic dim sum—rich, aromatic, and perfectly balanced without overpowering the original flavor. The Hong Kong-style milk tea was exceptionally smooth and fragrant, striking the ideal harmony between strong tea and creamy milk. A satisfying mix of tradition and creativity—definitely worth a visit.
Due to a flub at work I had no lunch today, so I decided to check out LetsSweet. I live in the south bay so I usually go to HK cafes there and this was my first in SF. I ordered the brisket noodle with round rice noodles. The broth was so clear, not overly seasoned or salty, but still tasty, and the noodles were perfectly cooked. The brisket was also just about perfect. Tender but not too soft, some chew. Also seasoned well with good flavor. I also ordered the HK milk tea. It was actually a more floral tea than I'm used to (I'm not an expert but I think usually the south bay cafes use a black tea?). However it was also fairly tasty and not overly sweet. This spot will definitely take a place in my office neighborhood restaurants rotation and I'll be back again.
The food was crazy good. The sauce on the curry chicken was unbelievable... It was sweet but not overly sweet, savory and smooth... With a little heat kick at the end. Compliments to the chef and I highly recommend. One of my new favorite spots to go.
So glad to know that our favorite Hong Kong style noodle place is back at the same location as the late Beyond Cafe with apparently the same chef but new owners and an expanded menu! Their wonton noodle soup (exquisitely complex broth with taste of dried scallops, springy noodles, and perfect wontons with juicy ground pork and plump shrimp) and spicy beef brisket noodle soup (tender chunks of gelatinous beef in a nicely balanced spicy beef broth and springy noodles) are so good it will be difficult to try other delicious looking offerings on the new menu!
Very traditional family own Hong Kong taste .. chat with one of the staff , she said all the sauce was ship from Hong Kong no wonder ~ will be back again :)
recommended by a fellow HKger, let's see if it taste like home: nice cozy cafe👍🏻 across from Porsche 😄 friendly boss, cook and staff👍🏻 curry brisket w/rice hk style: taste like home!!(hk) very tasty, good spice. "heard from them some people saying curry is a bit to spicy, I told them to please don't water down the taste of home just to comform to the American palette, i go because it's true taste, and there are so many other places that we don't go to because of it. I mean you never hear an authentic Italy, French, thai, Indian, etc would water down their recipe to confirm to a few. so please don't do it!🙏🏻" curry fish ball hk style: pretty good, could be bouncier tho😋 riceroll hk style: as good as it gets😋 milk tea hk style: could be smoother, richer tea👍🏻 overall: reminds me of home(true HK taste) since they just opened on the 20th, some must have items: yinyan, redbean drink, fake sharkfin soup are not available yet. but definitely a return customer round 2: great service as always comfortable setting, fish ball:as good as last time rice roll:as good as last time wuntung noodle:super great wuntung:better than Hon's noodle:nice texture's great, nice and bouncy Szechuan spicy brisket: great taste red bean iced: pretty good, need a bit more time on beans lemon tea iced: pretty good French toast:not bad verdit: NEW REGULAR SPOT!!!!
I am happy that there's a new Hong Kong Style Cafe (Cha Chan Tang) in the city. The food taste like authentic HK style food. The fish siumai is something hard to get in the US. I appreciate they have that available on the menu. Milk tea is good, just need to make the tea taste stronger to make it perfect. Hope they keep up the good work.
The food was amazing! I ordered the signature dou meat rice. The meat was tender and juicy, and the rice was generous. I also ordered a stuffed youtiao that comes with shrimps inside, which were also quite delicious. Services are very friendly. I highly recommend it and will definitely be back.
Got the super cart noodles, stuffed youtiao, and minced meat rice to share. The youtiao was a standout and was perfectly fried!
This restaurant is absolutely fantastic, one of my favorites in SF! The desserts, noodles, rice dishes, and appetizers all deliver authentic Hong Kong flavors that take me back. I was pleasantly surprised to find such a gem so close to our apartment. Now, we can’t help but visit every week. If you're craving real HK taste, this is the place to go. Highly recommend!!!
Had the imitation fin soup, French toast, and wonton noodles. Husband loved the imitation fin soup. Said super good. French toast- I don’t love chunky peanut butter but that’s a textural preference. Wonton noodles- just as good as beyond cafe who were the former operators of this space. Will definitely return!
Found this new spot after my gym sesh and took a quick walk there. Food was authentic and used high quality ingredients, really nostalgic. The staff let us build our own cart noodles with what ingredients were available even though technically cart noodles were retired from the menu. Brisket and broth were bombbb! Staff also offered us a free dish of fish siumai to try and that was super yummy! So sweet of them. Next time I have to try the HK french toast and Po Tat for a cheat meal lol Def check this place out (:
This lemongrass pork jowl rice was so good! The pork jowl is crispy on the edges, juicy inside. Paired with the sweet chili sauce, it is a must-try! Also, I can’t get enough of HK-style rice rolls—so soft, silky, and perfect with that sweet soy sauce!
I got the curry beef brisket rice, which tasted identical to what I remembered back in HK. It is flavorful and packs some heat. Would love to come back to try the wonton noodles and pork jowl rice next time!
Food so yummy. Won ton noodle soup was the bomb. Also got today’s special which was fried pork chop with Chinese spicy curry and salad ❤️
Currently still have the same menu as Beyond Cafe so taste is still mostly the same. They did have a couple of new items offered such as French toast. In a couple of weeks, they’ll transition to their new menu which will include rice plates and spaghetti. Excited to come back and try the new items!

Nice place for HongKong food. Love the curry beef brisket, very flavorful and tender. The hk milk tea and lemon tea very authentic too. Would recommend.
The Cantonese Cafe menu was pretty good. Some harder to find dishes were here and the ones we eat were all good.
Absolutely fantastic food! I had the curry beef with rice, along with a hong Kong milk tea. Both just knocked it out of the park. Highly recommend!
Hands-down one of my favorite Hong Kong-style cafés in San Francisco. I ended up eating here THREE days in a row while on jury duty downtown, and I zero regrets. The satay beef noodle soup is legitimately the best I’ve had in the city; rich, creamy satay broth that’s perfectly spiced and tastes almost identical to what you get in Hong Kong cha chaan tengs. Tender slices of beef, springy noodles, and that deep peanut-y flavor that keeps you sipping the soup to the last drop. Also tried the baked pork chop rice and the lunch special meat sauce spaghetti with fried egg, both were spot-on comfort food. The meat sauce is savory and slightly sweet in that classic HK way, and the runny egg on top makes everything even better. Zero complaints. Hong Kong-style milk tea is strong, silky, fragrant, and properly brewed; easily one of the most authentic in SF. Service is fast and friendly, portions are generous, and prices are fair. Already planning my next visit even though jury duty is over. If you love real-deal HK café food, this place is a must.

I grew up eating HK breakfast, this was so yummy and nostalgic :)
HK style milk tea - They used a particular blend which has less black tea blend and more floral/green aroma. Nonetheless, good tea. 4/5. Portuguese egg tart - the egg custard was good. Not too sweet and definitely buttery but the bottom crust was soft/soggy. 敗筆. It's not bad, but the crust needs to improve. Wonton noodle - I came here for that and didn't disappoint. I recently went to 麥奀記 in Vancouver. I'll say the wonton still better at 麥奀記, but Letssweet noodle beats them. As usual, I always eat the noodle first before it get soggy. And it didn't. Normally, it get soggy after 5 minutes. I was pleased the texture remain 彈牙. The wonton would benefit with a better brands of 大地魚粉and more 麻油 to marinate. But all in all, it's satisfying. Cart noodle - The soup is good. I would prefer more 腩汁. Fish cake is great. Beef ball was excellent. Great taste, great texture. Honestly, I missed beyond's 炸墨魚餅. They could consider adding 墨魚丸. There is a brand out there that's pretty good quality. The thick noodle also have good texture.
Ordered their noodle via UberEats, but it was pink at the bottom, sign of bacteria growth that will lead to food poisoning. Really loved this place, but guess not going to order ever again Edit: gave it another chance after owners response. No issue this time

The naked fried chicken is crispy, and we'll seasoned. Unlike other breaded fried chicken, you can really have the crispy chicken skin and definitely gluten free 😄. Solid wonton, although the noodle soup can be hotter, I would love to try their curry pork chop next time just to see how their hk style curry measures up. I sure hope whomever is frying thr kitchen gets the kudos. Nice job indeed.
I was misled by the five-star reviews into trying this restaurant, and I was very disappointed. It seems like the existing five-star reviews were given in exchange for free drinks. The selection is extremely limited—of the only three or four pasta dishes on the menu, half were unavailable. Given the quality and portion sizes, the food is a little bit overpriced. The curry fish balls just tasted like plain curry powder, overly spicy, and the ingredients weren’t flavorful at all. The clear broth roast duck noodles were basically just roast duck from a barbecue shop tossed on top of bland soup noodles—it felt like a bunch of pre-made ingredients thrown together, with no real chef involved. I do not recommend this restaurant.
It has changed ownership. Beyond Cafe was better in terms of both their wontons and the curry beef rice. The wontons had the Hong Kong flavors. I am disappointed with this new place called Lets Sweet !
Really great place and sweet staff… but I would have wish they explain a little bit more about the food or make some picture There was definitely no meats on those peak bones I got - it was only boiled skin and fat
