Great craft beer selection with very friendly staff. Great place to go for a pint or 3. The large TV screen of drinks made it really easy to order and it's nice that the menu is always up to date.

The 5 star reviews you see are real. This is a nice cozy place for grabbing few drinks after work. Menu offers a wide range of varieties from hops, ipa, saison and wheat beers. I went with a flight of 5 and all of them tasted good. Definitely would re-visit this place again. The bartender was friendly and easy to talk to. Recommended best beers to quench my thirst.

Great beer bar. There's a wide selection to choose from (and they regularly rotate what's available). From IPAs to Kolsch to Stouts, you'll find something here to fit your taste. There are also canned beers that can be bought to go. Don't ignore the coolers in the back. The bartenders know their beer and will make sure you find something you like. Yeah, they'll give you some samples too. There's a TV in there which is usually playing sports , so you won't miss a pitch or hit at the Giants game. In short, if you love beer in a friendly atmosphere, you'll love Liquid Gold.

Legit beer bar with an amazing draft selection coupled with a great bottle fridge for in-person or to go consumption. Loved the music selection and mix of baseball and football tv options. Highly recommend for good California and other import options.

The best bar in San Francisco! Small, and looks a bit rough at first inspection. But it has great beers, and knowledgeable servers. If you like real ales, you’ll LOVE it here. The bar is UnTappd verified, so the menu is on the wall-mounted TV (see my photograph). After ten years of searching, I enjoyed my first Pliny the Elder, and Pliny the Younger here; they were worth the wait. Can’t wait to come again!

Some great experiences had here over the years. Not only do they serve great beer with an abundance of options, but the bartenders are good company and it attracts tourists from around the world. My most memorable night here is chatting with a man from the Netherlands. We shared beers and connected through Untapped. Connecting through the love of beer. Who would’ve thought? Having such a selection allowed me to share a beer from one of my favorite breweries with my newfound friend (Ale Apothecary). Every time I am in San Francisco I stop by and have a beer or two. Thank you to the owner for such a fantastic selection of bottled/canned beers from around the U.S and the world.

Have a drink at this small but full of beers spot. They even got Tap Cider, a great variety of Canned Craft Beer from breweries from the California Area. In our country, when we go to a tap room, we have to try every beer available. The owner was very nice in understanding our tradition so he gave us a lot to try, that is why we left 25% tip over the full ticket. Great time here! You should definitely visit this place.

Very friendly bar staff. They let me try small samples of their beers before making a choice on my beer for the evening. Amazing selection of hazy and sour beers on tap and in bottles or cans to go. Enjoyable space for pre-gaming before events in the area. I've been here twice and would definitely come back!

One of THE best craft bars in NobHill. I was proud to call here my local until recently! Missing it still. Fantastic choice of ever changing and well curated beer selection. The staff are very friendly and helpful. If you’re lucky you’ll get to meet Russell the dog! A YouTube star. Nice outside seating where you watch the sunset. I personally like barrel aged stouts, barleywines, Belgian triples, and sour/smoothie beers and liquid gold never disappoints. Even the can and bottle fridge is well stocked. Chill environment and bartenders - none of that pretentious bs.

This is the closest that Nob Hill will go to the Toronado (in the best way) and the range of packaged options is superior to anywhere else in SF. If you like beer and are visiting nearby, LG is an absolute must. Same if you like beer and live within 50mi. You're gonna see something you haven't seen recently, or anywhere else
