Nice spot located at the end of Pier 39. Good selection of Hawaiian favorites and snacks and a good drink selection including some tasty cocktails. Live music on some nights and good views of the San Francisco Bay. One of the hidden gems on Pier 39.
Really enjoyable light lunch. Fish Tacos were good and has a great water view if you sit out the back of the pier.

My personal favorite Pier 39 food spot! It’s a little tough to reach since you have to walk through the arcade, but once you are there they have great views of the bay. I recommend the clam chowder and the burgers. I think the prices are pretty good for San Francisco. I feel like they bring your order very fast too. Fun staff and cocktails
Harrison served amazing drinks, great conversation, and brought the vibes. Excellent music at this location! I will be back the next time I am in town. The Painkiller cocktail is worth a try.
A nice little hidden gem at the end of Pier 39 that has a spectacular view of Alcatraz
Fun tiki bar near the waterfront with beautiful views of Alcatraz. Nachos are top!

This area is a good place to eat.different kids of food as well as the view of the Alcatraz prison
Great drinks! We had the coconut shrimp, which was very good.
Nice and relaxed eatery/bar at the end of Pier 39. Good views of bay and Alcatraz. Sport on TV. Chowder on offer (of course) along with other dishes.
Open bar area at the end of pier 39 walk. Sit and enjoy the view of the water, boats, and cruises floating by. As well as alcatraz.

Who would've thunk it!? A kitschy bar at the end of one of the most kitschy places in all of San Francisco - Pier 39! But the Luau Bar advertises themselves as the only tropical bar right on the bay. Can't contest that! I was there on a winter, weekday afternoon. Sun was shining, Plexiglass shielded the wind. Bar tender had an nice list of tropical drinks, and a local guy was doing Billy Joel et al at the keyboard. It was great. Thinking everything was just right in this moment, but even if half of those stars had aligned, it would have been a great moment gazing on the SF bay. I hope your visit turns out as well!
Honestly a pretty cool spot even for a local. Great views and has a huge windscreen so it doesn’t get cold out there. The bartender was a little slow and not rude but some word less than that maybe apathetic. Had some live music out back that was great. Really just a nice vibe. Not a lot of waterfront bars in this city and this is definitely one of them.

Stopped by for drinks and maybe something to eat. Waitress was friendly and welcoming. We ordered our drinks while we caught up on a few things and looked over the menu. We decided the food offerings were not for us. When we let our waitress know we were told the policy is we had to order food to go with drinks due to their liquor license even if it was just an appetizer. I said no. She said she would check with the manager and if she was okay with it then it would be fine. We have not heard a word since and just about done with our drinks. If this is truly your policy for whatever reason you should inform your customers up-front instead of after the fact leaving people feeling like they have no choice but to order. The waitress is nice the entire time so they have that going for them.
Service was abysmal and food was extremely disappointing. 2 stars for the view outside + sympathy because I overheard my waiter apologize (to a different table) about them being understaffed; maybe service is normally better. Service: 0/5 I want to preface that I am always polite to waitstaff and this did not change throughout the entire experience. I arrive to the patio and ask if there's seating available; the person working at the patio bar says yes and to sit whereever I'd like. I sit at a 2-top in plain sight of the bar. For the next 15-20 minutes, the waiter from the bar is serving people around me, talking to them, getting them new drink orders, etc., but doesn't come over to me. Eventually, one of his coworkers who is bringing food outside asks if I've been helped yet. I apologize and say that no I haven't. He sends the main patio waiter over to me with a menu, and finally I'm being helped. I order 2 items; a painkiller cocktail and dungeness crab roll sandwich. I speak clearly and even point to the items on the menu while saying them, since I know sometimes it's hard to hear orders with background noise. No edits/substitutions, just the two items. A wait later, my painkiller comes out. Even later, the waiter comes out with an item I did not order (crabcakes). I very nervously/politely tell him that isn't what I ordered, that I had ordered the crab roll sandwich, and he says he'll get what I did order, taking away the crabcakes with him. A long wait, and eventually my sandwich arrives. Due to how long this all took, I ordered a 2nd mixed drink--the waiter recommended the Lava Lava Lemonade, so I said I'd get a Lava Lava Lemonade. The 2nd drink, when it arrived, was literally another painkiller, just with an orange slice added (with big seeds still in it). The waiter even called it a painkiller when he put it down and charged it on my bill as a 2nd painkiller. So maybe I can't speak a lot to the variety of drinks due to the service. I did not correct him this time because I already felt bad about sending back his first mistake. I asked for the bill. This took forever--when he came back by a bit later and I had my card out, he said it was taking awhile because "I'm having my manager remove the first item from your bill." I said no worries and waited, but I was surprised. Was the restaraunt taking initiative to right the wrong of the terrible service (ignoring me, mixed up orders, etc.) by comping me for one of my drinks or something? I wasn't going to be rude and ask for that, but I was pleasantly hopeful that they might care about improving my bad experience. Wrong. Apparently, they had been about to charge me for the item I had not even ordered and it was taking even longer just to remove the item from my bill that, again, I had not ordered and did not touch. Bad service. Drinks: 2/5 Okay, overpriced even by SF standards. $15 for a mixed drink in a plastic disposable cup. Menu calls them cocktails, but they are basically a bunch of juice and liquor thrown in a clear solo cup on ice, like you would do at a beach party. Food: 1/5 I ordered the "crab sandwich," which the menu describes as being dungeness crab w/ garlic butter on a toasted roll (or sourdough, depending on menu version) w/ garlic fries. I think it ended up being $24? My total purchase was $70.48 including two $15 drinks and a 15% tip. Do not order this item. You will get ~2 ounces of dungeness crab meat on an untoasted, bready, and dense roll. The fries tasted and looked exactly like grocery store freezer section fries that someone had put in the oven and forgotten on the counter for awhile. Which is to say, not crispy, flavorless (definitely no garlic), and most not even hot. Overpriced and unpleasant. View: 5/5 Gorgeous view of the Bay. You'll see birds, Alcatraz, little boats going by, etc., and there's a lovely breeze. They really do have a great location! After I finally got my bill, I tipped, told them to have a great evening, and left, feeling sour that this was the end of my visit to San Francisco.
Food and service not good, but the view was spectacular.

Our server straight up left for her break and didn't tell anyone. There were like 4 or 5 tables she was serving and after like a half hour we all started looking at each other like "where is the server?" We had to leave so finally I went to the bar outside and the bartender goes "oh she went in her break". So basically this server had 4 or 4 tables and then just left us all, didn't tell anyone she was leaving, the bartender didn't tell anyone that she would be closing us all out, and we all just sat there like idiots wasting our time for a server that has left. The food was alright I guess(way overpriced) but luckily they had a great musician playing the guitar so there was a nice vibe in that regard but I've literally never seen a more irresponsible and unprofessional restaurant staff. The only person that shoulda been paid that day was the musician out there.
After walking 2.4 miles from my hotel to have dinner here, they were already closed more than 2 hours earlier than their posted time. The hostess indicated that happens with some frequency. The photos and menu looked good online, but don’t waste your time with this place, especially if you are going out of your way.
Tried to eat here. Guy in near empty bar area couldn't seat 4 people for an hour. Outside was to cold and windy. Outside bartender was nice.
Difficult to find entry, bartender was rude and very slow to serve even with only 3 tables dining in, left the restaurant multiple occasions with no other supervision of the guests. Not the vibe!
Prices too high for the amount of food. Do not get clam showder , poopcorn shrimp, or calamari. Tasted old and the amount of food was ridiculous. Go to Boudin or anywhere else but not here!!!
Had plans with my family lunch at the Lua Lounge, made reservations, then they cancelled
