Food is 20/10. Very casual place, not an atmosphere-focused restaurants .
My favorite Korean restaurant in the city (and maybe favorite restaurant in the city). They have many of the classic Korean dishes which are hard to find elsewhere (Kimchi stew, Galbi Tang, dolsot bibimbap, etc.), provide free classic banchan, and the vibes are great (and unique) with KPop music videos projected on the wall and an extremely kind staff. Can’t recommend enough.
Good food. There's not a lot of good Korean in Utah. But this place was pretty good. Closer to authentic than I've had in years. The spicy samgyubsal was really good. I will come back when I visit again. I still miss living in Pohang and getting food on the beach. I wish they had more Banchan options.
If you are looking for authentic Korean food, you should visit this restaurant. There is a hidden jam place near Pier 39 that I discovered. The Dolsot Biblimbaob was out of this world. The pork melted in my mouth and paired beautifully with the red chili paste that came with the dish. There are large portions of food, but they also have one-person soup dishes. We were very pleased with the service; her name is Britney. There is no doubt that I will return to try all of the dishes. I am very impressed with the size of their portion once again. There is no doubt that I will return to try all of their menu items!!
This is our go-to Korean spot in the neighborhood! The food here is full of flavor and portions are so filling. Definitely recommend the tteok bok ki with ramen:) We also ordered the soft tofu soup with pork and it was great! Taylor was extremely nice to us! Even though the restaurant was packed on a Saturday night, service was extremely quick. It's also great that they’re open late nights on the weekends, too. Will definitely be back for more!
By accident ran into this Korean place that serves many typical Korean dishes. And boy my bibimbap didn't disappoint. Long story short: If you look for Korean food in SF just go try it out!
Amazing experience Food Taste! Service! Highly recommended it for all people. The food taste will make you want to come back for more. They have a variety of selections.
Omg! Finally some great Asian food in Russian Hill area!!!!!! I am working at Philz and have been struggling finding Asian food that is open during the day. I always go to House of Sushi but they only open at 5pm. And I found this Korean place!!!!! Great food, very tasty with great service as well!! Now, I will survive :)))
totally slammed when we went here on labor day--full house plus delivery orders. waitress kept us stocked up on banchan/water etc, very good service on a busy day. good food
We went for a late dinner and the food was great! We did realize when we got there that Ollei was more geared toward adult customers but had no problems having the kids with us and the girls loved the 보쌈 and 삼겹살!
Ordered the short rib soup. It was seasoned well and very yummy. Very cozy meal
This is my go to place for takeout when im sick or hungry/lazy past 930pm. I always get the kimchi soup with pork belly, seafood pancake, kimchi cold noodle, and more pork belly. Their banchan also includes a crunchy mustard seaweed noodle that is so addicting. This may be my favorite korean restaurant in the city.
Fantastic food and even better service! Stumbled upon this restaurant and after abysmal service from every other restaurant I’ve tried in SF, we were blown away. The galbi tang was piping hot and so comforting and the pork belly was so delicious. The drinks were very good and also reasonably priced! The highlight of our night was definitely our amazing server Hazel. She was so incredibly sweet and personable and really made everything 10x better. Would highly recommend if you’re in the area.
My favorite Korean restaurant. The soft tofu soup is fabulous. The bibimbap is great too. The truffle fries are delicious and a very healthy portion but it will fill up up so to leave room for your dinner, share it with others. The service is friendly and efficient The restaurant is small and cozy. K Pop videos are projected on a wall. No steps so accessable
My friend and I, both Korean, had a great meal yesterday! We ordered a spread of dishes, including 오징어볶음 (spicy stir-fried squid), 매운삼겹살 볶음 (spicy pork belly stir-fry), 고등어구이 (grilled mackerel), and 육계장라면 (spicy beef soup with ramen), and every single one was delicious. it tastes authentic– still some dishes are a bit sweeter but it’s still good. The service was also top-notch; our server was really kind and attentive throughout our meal.
This was genuinely surprising. I loved this place. Its nonchalant on the street but when you stumble into the gem, you won't regret it. I tried everything. The kimchi pancake was moist and not too sour, the rice balls were salty and oily goodness, and the chicken was cooked to perfection. The spices on all the food was very unique and you feel like you can taste Korea with every bite. 9.0/10 Pro Tip: go with a friend and get as much variety as you can. There is too much to try in just one go. Oh and they give you little appetizers at the start of your meal.
We come visit from Puerto Rico. I order a kimchi rice fried and was excelent, my son ollei chiken wing was amazin and my dauther order tofu soup. We definitly go againg.
Great food and staff. The japchae is a must-try. No reservations required but they can get busy at times. Big portion, we both have togo box to bring home!
I recently visited this Korean restaurant for the first time, and it was such a great experience. The food was delicious and full of flavor, and it came out really fast. Everything was fresh and well-prepared, and the service was smooth and friendly. I’ll definitely be coming back here again!
Very good Korean fare in a laid back setting. Ollei serves up tasty late night grub and vibes in Russian Hill. The grill is burning, the meat is cooking, soups are boiling, the drinks are flowing and kpop is popping, this is a good Korean restaurant in San Francisco. Tasty food at an affordable price and where you can also go to throw a couple back as well. It was the perfect place to warm up on a cold SF night, food and drink wise. I’m definitely coming back to try various other dishes. Very good.
If you are looking for an authentic Korean spot for late night meal… this is your spot! One of my favorite Korean meals in sf! The tofu soup hit the spot and gave us plenty of sides. Food was hot and came out quick. The service was top tier always attentive and looking out for every table. The atmosphere was also a vibe, music videos playing and the chatter of others. The place is alittle small but barely any waiting time. Bathroom clean as well. Will definitely go again!
This place hits. The service was timely and nice, refilling the banchan and water when we needed. We got Kimchi fried rice, seafood pancake, bulgogi, sweet corn and the grilled pork belly. All of them were delicious, especially the pork belly! Really liked how the seafood pancake was not as greasy as some other places I've been to. Bulgogi was tasty, very rich and had a nice sweetness to it. Kimchi fried rice has a few different protein options and we went with the beef, it did not disappoint. They do a cute way of cooking the egg in front of you too! Would definitely recommend coming here, I know I'll be back to try some more stuff on the menu.
My sister and I found this place when we were going around Polk St looking for lunch and I can say that this was worth a try! We ordered the kimchi fried rice with beef and pork dumplings. The dumplings were juicy, but I thought that the kimchi fried rice was missing something. It might just be because I'm not used to this restaurant's flavor too. The portion was pretty big and service was also great! Please try this place out!
As a Korean soup lover, i cannot recommend highly enough of this place! We had the galbi-tang (beef rib soup) and soft tofu stew and savored every bite. It’s nice to see authentic Korean food in PacHeights that is reasonably priced and kid-friendly. Definitely coming back!
Very solid and traditional Korean food, everything is prepared well and portioned and priced as you’d expect. We liked the seafood pancakes, the Bibim Bap, spicy pork belly and short ribs. Interesting Banchan to start

The ingredients were so fresh and the taste was just same as the one in Korea! I really enjoyed it 😉❤️
Food was great. Service was excellent. Seriously nothing to complain about restaurant experience. Will be going back again, and recommending to friends. If you enjoy Korean food, I highly suggest a visit. There was one service person managing the front of house, while the restaurant was 1/2 to 3/4 full. She provided a calm, personal, professional service to every single table. I am not normally a cold noodle person, but the spouse wanted cold noodles, and they were great. The fried chicken was excellent. Enjoyed each of the small dishes. Highly recommend.

Food was good, nothing special but server girl was so polite and chill. Went here during lunch time and drank a little bit with my friend and to be honest, I think we had loud moments and server girl was just checking in on us and was helping us without being rude. Atmosphere is really nice and food was good. Overall pretty good experience.
Ordered seafood pancake, spicy pork belly so review is based on that: Food: - Pancake 4.5/5 - Pork belly 4/5 Service: 4/5 - food came out quick - service was a bit slower Ambiance: Casual Banchan was 4 dishes but it had everything I liked. Fish cake, kimchi, radish. Not as creative on the Banchan front compared to some of the best I’ve had, but good. The seafood pancake was fluffier than most places and seemed “heartier” because of that. Pork belly was good, but average if you’re going to compare. Sauce was good, felt like it had a honey glaze. Would come back again
This isn’t a place you’ll write home about, but if you’re under the weather or just craving something hearty, the Army Stew is a must. It’s a big bubbling pot of everything—including the kitchen sink: ham, sausage, Spam, baked beans, kimchi, instant noodles, gochujang, mushrooms, and rice cakes. Super filling—enough to feed 4 people easily. It was just my husband and me, but we still ordered it and took half home. We also loved the seafood pancake—crispy, flavorful, and one of those dishes that’s best eaten fresh (definitely don’t save it for the next day). These two dishes are the standouts and would get 4 stars on their own. That said, we’ve tried other items before like the fried chicken wings and bibimbap, and they didn’t hit the mark—lacking authenticity and flavor. Stick to the Army Stew and seafood pancake, and you’re in for a comforting, satisfying meal.
Food tasted decent. Kimchi pancakes and the fried chicken were the best from what we ate. Service was excellent. They were kind and brought an endless number of banchans for us. Ambience fits the theme of Korean food. I also love how they open till 11pm!

My husband and I actually door dashed this on a night in while visiting San Fran. I am a huge tofu soup fan but it’s always either too spicy or just water. There is never a perfect in between… until Ollei! The spice was perfect, just a little punch without it being too over powering. And with it being door-dashed it travelled well and was still warm when it arrived. The only complaints I have was there was hardly any beef in my tofu soup and it was very oily. I cannot speak to the service or atmosphere as I never physically went to the restaurant.

This dining experience left me with mixed feelings. The fried chicken disappointed me as it wasn't as crispy as I had hoped (even asked if it would be crispy)! It seemed like the fryer temperature was too low. On the other hand, the bibimbap I ordered was just okay, nothing exceptional. Overall, it was an average dining experience, and I hope they can improve the quality of their fried chicken in the future. I really wanted to like this restaurant since it’s so conveniently located.
December 2025 Informal and casual Korean restaurant in general downtown area. Food is standard with a bit of authenticity lacking as flavors are there but ingredients are just average. Meat is less tender than traditional and appetizers can be improved. Service is standard and efficient. Place is a bit aged. All in all a good option if you need a quick Korean meal.
I had the spicy tofu soup. It was pretty good. It was kind of thick. There wasn’t a lot of vegetables in it. I would say average Korean food. The side dishes were not good. Soju was very expensive almost $15 for a small bottle.
decent korean restaurant in russian hill but nothing outstanding about it. even for a weak korean food city like sf, there are still better to choose from. chicken wings: pretty tasty and well fried. could be spicier tteok boki: solid

The food here tastes decent but it is extremely expensive. You do not get your money’s worth. I paid $13 for only four tiny pieces of the gim mallee. and $11 for only 3 seaweed rice balls. and $14 for 8 dumplings. It all tasted fine but the amount of food did not match how much we paid.

Probably the worst korean food I’ve ever had. 1. The corn cheese barely had any cheese in it and was mostly chunky mayo 2. The pictures of the bulgoki soup are incredibly deceiving. There are no mushrooms, enoki, or green onion even though pictured in their menu. The soup was way too sweet, it tasted like we were drinking simple syrup. The bulgogi was was too tough and the rice cakes were soggy. Not to mention that this soup is TINY (serves only 1 person), we expected a much bigger portion for the price point. 3. The stir fried squid was okay, it was probably the least worst dish that we ordered. However, the sauce is just gochujang with not much other flavor. The squid tasted like frozen squid and wasn’t great in texture. Wouldn’t recommend this place at all, sorry.
Portions incredibly small, beef brisket stew had very little beef brisket, maybe only a couple of strands. I was expecting a meaty, hearty stew but instead, I got a soup that tasted like vegetables and was somehow burnt and bitter. Overpriced for what it was. Do NOT recommend if you are looking for a Korean soup
ordered through doordash. This was a frozen meat and it's overcooked. Hard to chew as if it's beef jerky. I'd never pay for this.
