Started going here a week ago. Lit, fun, great atmosphere, awesome staff & more than worth the door cover. At closing last night, some clown tried to grab me after previously being turned down. It's outside the club, so not their responsibility, but their entire security team appeared out of no where n had my back in case I needed protection. Shake, Joe, Kane, Tom & Eric, I have the utmost respect for you guys & now appreciation too. Definitely gon be coming back soon. Much love. 🤗💯
Today we were just trooping around and decided to stop and have a drink. It was very pleasant. The bartender Angel was great. The drinks were sooooo good and very reasonably priced. We are definitely going to come back in the evening for a night of dancing.
My first experience here was at the Clementime event sponsored by Google Locals. I already want to go back! The staff was friendly and the manager had a Helen Hunt sort of personality, attractive, and was friendly to all the guests at the table. I recommend this over the inner fog, because their wine selection is as long as the list of U.S. Military Bases. Yea, think about it? So just Go!
Probably one of the best music you’ll get in the Castro. A hint of Pop music with remixes and edm. Very fun!
Stacy and Eric at the enterance are such a big reason I continue to attend. They are so welcoming and helpful, not only regarding Q-Bar, they are informative all around. The bar is great with great events, music and an affordable cover past 9pm!

All I remember is slipping a $20 into a beautiful man’s thong.
This place was pretty chill. I went on a Sunday night and it was Latin Dance night. There was a good combination of males and females, which for a gay bar was good to see. The location is right in the Castro district a few doors down from the Bear bar. Lots of people dancing and having a great time. Was super fun to be a part of. The prices were good, too... especially for being in Cali and S.F. I pay the same in Boise, Idaho; however, there you got a chip for a free drink, which was bad ass! 2 for 1 drinks... good drinks, too! The only thing that I didn't like was that there wasn't a toilet. There are urinals, but I couldn't find a toilet. Where are the ladies gonna go? Or they guys that gotta go go :)~
This is my husband's favorite place to start a Saturday night, if for no other reason than happy hour. It's a great place to end the night, too, after the crowd has cleared some. The two-for-one during happy hour is good, and the music isn't bad either. The Andrew Christian ads on the TVs can be a little much, but we do enjoy the amount of seating available — even after tables and high tops have been cleaned away. I'd be careful about ordering the well rum, though; it's terrible.
Great club! Here are some insights: its mostly a bar before 10pm, drink specials are slightly more expensive than other bars in the neighborhood, gogo dancers on the weekends, free photo shoot on Wednesday night, good place to dance on the weekend. It is a small bar and will get busy. Most always a cover after 10pm.

We came here on a Wednesday at 4:30pm. It was fairly empty except for two people at the bar but it took a good while for the bartender to even look our way. We asked for a cocktails menu. There wasn't one. He walked away while we pondered our choices. The scotch selection was ok but not what I typically order. I would rate a two but am giving an extra star ONLY because we each got a free happy hour wooden coin which we were able to use during the same visit so really it was a buy one get one free type of deal. We sat by the open window and got to people watch.
The bouncers here are jerks. The drinks are cheap when you go on certain nights. I believe ladies night is still on Tuesdays? They usually play dance music but what gay club doesn't? Oh and on certain nights, they'll charge for cover - but it's not much compared to the straight clubs.
This bar needs to find a little more space... somewhere. Once you get in through the long padded hallway and past the window to the smoker's room you find yourself in your typical Castro bar but the music is substantially better. Although, this club plays the hits from top 40 artists when it needs to, you'll actually find REAL Deejays spinning tracks from all genres and making you bob your head to the beat. The bartenders get the job done - neither friendly or mean and mostly straight so don't get your hopes up boys.
Great music, nice atmosphere and nice promotions. Only complaint is that on Monday nights they offer "$1.00 well drinks". I ordered two WELL long islands and two WELL whiskey and cokes. The whiskey and coke was $1.00 but the long islands were $7.00 each! I asked the bartender why my bill was $16.00 and he said because long islands weren't a part of the promotion. Excuse me? I ordered all WELL drinks, they should have been $1.00 each! I guess don't order anything with more that one type of liquor in it?

Honestly, when I went here with my boyfriend, I was already tipsy, but remember a couple of things that I didn't like: 1. The music 2. The super strong drinks The music that they were playing in here wasn't really music that anyone could dance to. There was no one in the dance floor. I was reading some reviews, and when we went here on a Friday night, it was surprisingly empty. In regards to the drinks, my boyfriend got me a Moscow Mule (my favorite drink), I expected what I expect from a mixed drink: thoroughly mixed. Not this one, it tasted like straight up vodka shots. Since my alcohol intake isn't as high as my boyfriend's, I ended up giving it to him. Would I come back here again? I mean, yeah, I'd give it another shot.

Bartenders never asked me if I wanted a drink or even spoke to me…I don’t know if it was because I was black and I didn’t fit the demographic but I found it also disrespectful that instead of attending the patrons the bartender/manager were to busy fondling each other and playing with each other below the waist which they did multiple times within a 25 min time span….no one washed their hands.

If I could give zero stars I would. The bartender female short bold hair was so rude. She has to be the rudest bartender I've ever had in my life she couldn't find my debit card because she wasn't able to read my name properly then when I showed her what my card was supposed to look like she yelled at me because my full name wasn't displayed on the card. Like what the heck. She was so rude. I showed her another one of my cards to show her what my name was, then I found my ID and she yelled at me. Like excuse me, but it's not my fault you didn't or could read my name properly. Just downright bad customer service by the bartender. I will never go back there. I have a long name and it may be difficult to pronounce, but bartender's at every single club have been able to find and close out my tab without bieng that rude. Like, I'm sorry my name was too ethnic for the bartender at Qbar.
Music very good. Bar staff ok but coach check staff so rude she ask me twice to tip dancer that our group already tips her 3-4 times and when i get my coach back(i tip her already) she still ask me “did u tip dancer?” I said yes and then she ask ”did u tips the bar?” And i said yes. We are asian ppl, who live in us we know what we should do. First its ok as we know some asian not tip but second and third time ask for tip it rude...
I been meaning to write this review, we went to the Qbar last Saturday 3/22. It was our first time back since they reopened. We had been looking forward to it. My partner and I have been together for over 10 years we met at the Qbar actually so we thought it’d be fun to spin the block and see what they did with the renovations. We went around 8/9 pm not too many people were there yet. The bartender attended us pretty quickly but what threw me off is they were playing literal porn on the TVs which was off putting and uncomfortable. We’ve seen their new advertisements for the nights they have like Vice on Tuesdays, but now they have Puta Sucia which is wild if they’re going to be a porn bar then be that. It just made us feel really uncomfortable and we won’t be back also after the bartender served us once he never came back around to see if we wanted another round it was just an unpleasant experience.
I’ve never experienced such rude security before. Yesterday, on a Monday night, I nicely asked if I could park on the street—a simple yes or no question—but instead, I was met with a nasty attitude. Completely unnecessary and unprofessional. Won’t be returning.

I have never been treated so poorly. My friends and I were enjoying a Sunday Funday yesterday in the Castro. My friend bought just a can of redbull for $4.50 after he had already purchased many drinks. There was $0.50 change and he left it there for the bartender to have. I was then standing at the bar with the group and the bartender said rudely “this area is for paying customers not for those who tip $0.50.” First, I could not believe he said that, second I was not even the one who left the money there for him. The bartender continued to give us attitude and after we stood up for ourselves he had us thrown out. I will never return to the Qbar. I am embarrassed for the owner and the customer service was absolutely unacceptable.
