Avis sur Ravi San Francisco
Great place to get food for the price. My family and I were well fed and the owner and service was excellent. I will definitely be coming back here when I am back in San Francisco.
Unbelievable lunch special, $10 for a veggie combo that has enough food for the largest eaters (and good) is almost impossible to find in sf. A favorite
Great Indian food along with variety of options. Pricing and quantity are phenomenal. Clean. Self-serve in every aspect but there is enough seating.
This is my favorite Indian restaurant in SF. I've had both dine-ins and take outs, and I've found that Raavi's quality to be consistently superior to other Indian restaurants I tried, especially for the price. It's a hole in the wall kind of place, but I respect how good they are. Ignore the bad reviews and give it a try!
I would recommend Raavi for delicious Indian food. I especially enjoyed the chicken korma, which was a delicacy . The chaat was also a great choice, with a nice blend of sweet and savory flavors. Overall, a great dining experience! If you're from India and enjoy a bit of a kick, definitely ask the waiter to spice up your order. They're happy to adjust the spice level to your preference!
Good food, decent price. Located at the corner I the side off Jackson st. Plenty of tables to sit around, no booths. You need to pay for the food upfront. You need to get plate and cutlery by yourself. Ordered rajma, nana and roti, all were tasty! Menu has good number of items that are vegetarian. Staff is courteous. They offer free masala tea to customers. There was lot of foot traffic, many food delivery folks were coming to pick up as well as customers ordering to-go. Restrooms are located in the basement. Did not see any dedicated parking, have to park nearby on road side.
Excellent Indian food and a great place for vegetarian food. Lots of options for chicken, lamb, fish and even more if you're vegetarian. Their eggplant curry is one of the best. The garlic naan is their most popular. Also try the cauliflower as well they make excellent tandoori During lunch on weekdays they have specials, too. You cannot go wrong with any of their dishes.
After a long day of drinking I needed a couple of things before sleeping to avoid the dreaded hangover. First I take OHCap, the new hangover pill on the block. Second, I get myself a heavy meal to fill my belly. Indian food it is. We stopped by this place towards the evening. We got a few dishes. I honestly can't remember the name of them except the butter chicken dish. This is one of those places you order at the front and sit down. They brought out all the dishes quickly and we gobbled it down. Perfectly fine drunk meal to be honest. They also have a water station and hot tea. That's where I got my liquids to drink down the hangover pill. I'd come here again next time I'm in the area.
Food is tasty, its a self service place and cook is Nepali. Most dishes we ordered turned out fresh and tasty except chicken chili which was clearly prepared as make shift of different things not at all like actual chicken chili (its on the menu thoug) but lets just say chef doesnt know about Indo Chinese preparations. All other dishes and staff was great though. Nice location as well if you are visiting China Town in SFO
We love North Indian food & this place was walking distance from our hotel, so that was great. The food was pretty good & the portions were satisfactory for the prices. The samosas & aloo ghobi were pretty spicy, but the paneer tikka masala was a little bland. Regardless, I thought it was delicious. This place is an unassuming hole in the wall where you order at a counter in the back, gather your own serve ware, then an employee brings your food. The dining area was clean & everyone was very friendly. We’ll definitely come back the next time we visit SF.
Affordable and tasty Indian place. Ordering is at at the counter and self service for plates and watter. The food was very good. It would have been better to take the bones out of the dish before serving to avoid issues. Butter chicken and goat biryani were very good.m and we enjoyed our food. A good place for a fast and affordable lunch.
I’m shocked to see this restaurant being rated so highly. Their item descriptions are completely incorrect, and when I called them about it, they blatantly accepted it but didn’t even offer any resolution. I would have given 0 stars if i could. The paneer naan is basically a cheddar naan, there’s no paneer in it. The onion naan on doordash says onions stuff inside, but it was a regular naan with onions sprinkled on it. When i asked, i was told that that’s how it is and I should have have ordered onion kulcha. But on doordash they only have onion naan and the description clearly said onions stuffed inside. Rude staff, wrong food description. Even the curries were average. The prices of items is definitely good, but it’s still not worth it
Saw the reviews and walked in, but so so so utterly disappointed with the food. I wonder why these restaurants name chicken and rice as Biryani, I hope they knew what authentic Biryani means. Upon suggestion, for appetizer was asked to order assorted appetizer which has lamb, chicken and fish. I literally left the whole platter, and it’s a pay upfront restaurant, so did not even want to go talk to the person! Definitely never ever coming back!
