Avis sur Sushi Bistro @ 6th&B San Francisco
Owner is AMAZING and makes much of the menu gluten-free. Yay for safe sushi! And, it’s the freshest. There’s always something new to try. Menu is creative and executed well. Reggae music and some cool lighting give it a fun atmosphere. This is my go-to spot!
Sushi Bistro quickly became a family favorite. It was referred to us by a friend and at first taste of the food, the quality stood out. We were seated right away and greeted with smiles by the owner, David and his staff. We were given some delicious pickled cucumbers to start. My 7 year old daughter loves Tuna sashimi/nigiri and once she got a taste of one, she wanted to order a couple more. My wife got the tempura udon which was soothing for a cold night yet the portion was very generous. I opted for various nigiris and the African spider. All stand out dishes. I loved the nigiris so much I've ordered the nigiri 10 piece omakase since so I get to taste various cuts and offerings. We have gone there to celebrate big milestone/celebrations since our first visit and will continue to be patrons.
The best sushi spot in San Francisco! The food is always fresh, and the staff is always very welcoming. I highly recommend this place btw the prices are great too!
Very good sushi! Quality fresh fish, creative and unique rolls, along with the classics, all done very well. We were seated right away, our order came out quite quick, and staff was quick to refill water and check on us. Very pleased with everything. I will be coming back!
It was our first time trying this place after one whole year of living in this area, what a shame!! This place is so good! The owner is super nice and friendly. The service is great! The staffs are very attentive and always refill water and wasabi for us without having to ask. We love it here and we will come back for more! My most favorite dish is Presidio roll! We will come back and try more dishes for sure!! :)
This was exactly what I was hoping for: reasonably priced sushi that was delicious and fresh as well as a fun atmosphere. The Uni was the best I have had in a while!
My partner surprised me with a beautiful custom sushi platter from Sushi Bistro for my birthday. I loved it so, so much. David was very accommodating and helped my partner create what he was envisioning. Every item was so fresh, delicious, abundant, and visually stunning! Would highly recommend this restaurant. Thank you, Sushi Bistro!
Very good sushi. The fish was fresh and the rolls were very well made. They weren't super saucy (thank you) and had great flavor. Will definitely be returning.
Love this place. Great sushi, reasonably priced, and we’ve never had a long wait. We love the monster in law roll and the veggie udon.
Our waiter was very friendly, explained the menu and helped us choose a great sake. Uni, rolls and sashimi were very fresh and tasty.

This is my favorite sushi restaurant in San Francisco! Everything is delicious, especially the poke salad!
Love this place! Sushi is always so fresh and there's lots unique menu items - highly recommend the y.t. jalapeno and albacore dream (the california roll is the best one I've had - packed with crab). Service is excellent - super friendly and will give recommendations on what to order. Overall, fun spot with delicious sushi!
Love the basic sushi rolls here (spicy tuna 4 life), the staff is great and the happy hour deals are awesome! Their specialty rolls are also fun for groups to share, lots of variety. 5⭐
We LOVE Sushi Bistro — it has been a go-to for us in the Inner Richmond and we still love going back for very fresh, high quality and delicious sushi with the details just right. The house special rolls (49er and Presidio are our faves), appetizers (Karagi, Caucasian Afro, miso soup and tempura) and wide range of sushi and sashimi options are consistent crowd pleasers. Friendly staffs and family-friendly to dine in or take-out
Our favorite Japanese restaurant in San Francisco, which has its share of Japanese restaurants! The food is always fresh, delicious, and fairly priced. Their speciality rolls are creative and yummy. David and his staff are always very friendly and accommodating to special requests.
All I can say is wow! Sushi Bistro is absolutely phenomenal. From the vibe and atmosphere to the quality of the food, everything exceeded my expectations. I’m from LA and honestly haven’t found many sushi spots in SF that match the flavor, freshness, and creativity I’m used to until now. Sushi Bistro serves top quality rolls that are not only beautifully presented but actually packed with flavor. What really made the experience even better was the owner. He was incredibly kind, attentive, and genuinely welcoming, which added a personal touch that’s rare to find. I had such a great time dining here and will definitely be coming back regularly. This is officially my new go-to sushi spot in the city. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for seriously good sushi.
My go-to sushi place for many years and the one restaurant my kids want to go to when they are back home for a visit. I’ve checked out other sushi places in and around the neighborhood and they simply are not as good as SB. Never disappoints in terms of exceptionally fresh fish, creative yummy rolls and traditional Japanese hot dishes. Highly recommend.

My experience with their Omakase was really good. Sashimi were very fresh. Current price as of December 1, 2022 is $47 for 10 pieces. Service was super. You better make reservation. But the bar table seems not busy when we were there a few days ago. Update on 9/16/2025: the same 10 piece Omakase is much thinner than 3 years ago. The price is increased to more than $60($63). Not recommended anymore. I can understand the price increase, but don’t understand why each cut is thinner.
Delicious notorious veg roll. Tofu curry bowl was good too but the tofu pieces were a little too chewy.
Was served by this very sweet lady from korea/ japan. She’s so cheery and that lifted the entire experience 👍🏻 sushi rolls were pretty decent too!
