If you're looking for a good ole fashioned slightly upscale dive with swell lesbians behind the counter, look no further! Good food, good service, good peeps
Outstanding food, down to earth, great back patio. Favorite bar on Mission St.
Had a drink or two here My god, cleanest beer glass in america
Carl and bree are the best bartenders in the mission. Great food. Great vibes
Great bar! A little divey which is nice. Chill back patio with heat lamps. No liquor, just beer and wine.
went for lunch. good vibes. dive bar with a nice open patio. i ordered chicken and waffles with bottomless mimosas. mimosas top tier although the waiter didn’t come every 10/15 minutes like the bar tender told us. the food was ok and the portions were way smaller than expected. i ended up ordering a croché madame because the half size chicken and waffles wasn’t enough. my girlfriend and her friends ordered very cute bite sized chicken sliders
I love this place! They have an outdoor patio for seating in the front and heated patio in the back! If you’re going for dinner, try to reach there early as it the seats get taken real quick (gets full about 7 pm-ish). Delicious, delllicious food! I personally love all their sliders. And of course, good selection of beers. A warning though: Waffles here for dessert is probably not a good idea.. fair, since this is not a dessert place! The best part is that they have free Trivia nights every Monday. We went on a Trivia night and it was so much fun! And I’ve heard they also have other events on the other days of the week - which you can check on their website. ** Also, their restroom is an experience in itself!
Went for a late brunch yesterday, we got there around 12pm and were seated right away! We sat in the back patio and it was lovely with all the plants and benches. We tried the chicken and waffles, BLT and wagyu beef sliders, which were allll amazing! My favorite was the wagyu sliders, I 100% recommend those if you enjoy beef. They also do bottomless mimosa for $25 per person
First time trying this place out and felt they had better options for drinks than the food. Ordered the half chicken and waffles and upon receiving I felt I should have gotten the full. If this is what’s being served, might as well remove it cause what’s this? Nugget size chicken. Overall the pint size mimosa was delicious.
Decidedly lower quartile espresso martini. Friends of mine love this place; so other drinks are probably better? I have been here before (2014 for my birthday with a large group of friends) and even then I wondered, why do people like it? It’s popular for sure. But not my thing. Not refined. I’m left scratching my head about what I am misunderstanding about this place.
Been here a few times for brunch. Generally liked it. Brought a friend here and turned out they were doing trivia night. Missed the first round but thought it would be fun to play the other four. Guy gave me a face when I asked for a ballot and never collected any of our four rounds. This is a members only club and you’re not in it.
We came here for trivia night and the atmosphere was great even if we ranked incredibly low. the Sycamore has a great Mango beer which I recommend but the food was below mid. Im quite familiar with pub food, but the burgers & sliders we had were overdone/ burnt and also expensive for a corner pub so i can’t recommend the food here.
I stepped two steps into this bar AND THE BARTENDER SAYS WHILE POINTING AT THE DOOR "YOU ARE NOT WELCOME HERE" THEN HE SAYS "GET OUT" I believe that this was done to me because I am white. They obviously do not like white people. So if you are a American of European descent I would stay away you mY be attacked. Physically
I was trying to find the restaurant, and little did I know, I walked past it. It's not a very welcoming environment. My girl and I felt the place was very unwelcoming from the janky and tight seating. No one greeted us, and no one told us to sit anywhere, so we were confused as to how we could order our food. There was only a bartender who didn't acknowledge us and waitresses who seemed like customers. They weren't doing anything to denote that they actually work there, let alone look like it since one was eating at the bar and another looked lost. We walked around for 4 mins to see who worked there and ultimately ended up leaving from the disturbing atmosphere and lack of service. Edit/Update: The "owner’s" unprofessional and passive-aggressive response to my review underscores the restaurant’s neglectful care. They deflected their incompetencies, disregarded customer feedback, and redirected it to the customer. The run-down “bar” serves as a stark reflection of their ownership, which, for lack of a better term, is subpar and that's putting it nicely.
A bunch of my friends came to have bottomless mimosas at this place. It was the WORST experience of my life. The hostess at the bar was extremely extremely rude. She didn’t know how to cater to a customer. We were as gentle and polite even though she snapped at us twice and refused to refill our glasses even though 15 mins were done since the time they were empty. There’s a way to respond back and she had no courtesy and empathy, she was very very rude and shouted at us for no reason at all. I wouldn’t recommend anyone to go here, unless you want to get yourself insulted. She needs to learn BASIC hospitality!! Wish there was a way to not have to give compulsory 20 % gratuity! The service here was beyond humiliation.
