Bonchon is my favorite wing restaurant! Their wings are huge and juicy, unlike other wing places like Wingstop or B-Dubs. They're perfectly seasoned with a soy garlic glaze (also available in spicy) and they're cooked in the korean way of double frying, which gives them a unique crispiness. The glaze isn't too heavy or too salty either. I usually order the medium combo to split with one other person. It comes with 10 wings & 5 drumsticks but they're humongous! Like seriously, they might be using GMO chicken but I don't really care since they're so good! The medium combo is definitely good enough for 2 people and comes out to $24 total. The fries are also great cause they're thin and crispy. Regular fries are $4 and seasoned fries are $7. If you come on a Saturday, I recommend that you show up 15 minutes before opening (so at 11:15am). I managed to get the last available table and a huge line formed immediately after. I would estimate that the waiting time was an hour long after me. Parking can be hard because it's in a small plaza with other restaurants, but there is free street parking.
Korean style fried chicken!! Fried with no batter so the skin is crispy and very flavorful. The Soy Garlic version is mildly spicy while the Spicy was ~ Spicy! The bibimbap was very good as well. ** An important note As it clearly states in the menu that it can take up to 30 minutes for the chicken, therefore patience and time are needed.
I’ve been to two Korean fried chicken places in my life. First one was cheeks so I was kind of worried about this place but this turned out to be literally the best fried chicken I’ve ever had. I loved how crispy the skin was. The soy garlic sauce was savory. Service was great, friendly people and super clean bathrooms. Will definitely come here again.
Its a bit of a drive, like an hour away but its all worth it. The place itself, staff and the foods are amazing. They have some variety of appetizers to start with, I always order Takoyaki. 😄The soy garlic chicken is soo good! Pricing is reasonable. You get what you pay for. Definitely a best place for people who likes fried chicken in a higher level.
I don't think this place needs another review because it gets busy! The food is incredible, the fried chicken and just everything. The staff are really nice. Parking can be an issue. Update:First, customer service is excellent. I spent a good amount $ on the 40pcs that come w 3 sides. People don't waste your money! Just order the chicken BUT NOT the combos w the sides! The size is a joke considering is supposed to feed at least 6 people. I'm posting the pic here, the rice container was half full juat spread out in the container to appear "full".
Choose Korean fried chicken for dinner. Ordered fried chicken half & half. Half soy sauce and half spicy. Also ordered tteokbokki. Tteokbokki was spicy. Quality and the taste of the food was good. At the time of visit the store wasn’t busy and was able to get the sit right away. The quality of service was good. Didn’t had bad experience and would visit again.
I came here for lunch on Presidents' Day and it was packed. There was a bit of a wait but the waiters we're all really courteous and made sure I were served. They quickly responded to any additional requests or questions. We ordered the wings lunch special, seasoned fries, pickled radish, and pork buns. The fries were delicious with or without ketchup. The pork buns were full of flavor and tender, balanced out with cole slaw. The picked radish were cut in small cubes and had just the right amount of sourness. It paired really well with the wings. The wings were the most popular items so it came last. It was piping hot. We ordered the wings in half-half, half spicy and half non-spicey garlic soy. The skins were as crispy as Lays chips and flavorful. The spicy ones definitely had a nice kick to it. We ordered additional spicy mayo and it went really well with both the fries and chicken. Definitely a bit pricier than other Korean fried chicken, but I wouldn't mind a monthly visit.
I love the food the Korean tacos is my favorite and the wings are crispy. The service is amazing it’s my favorite place in all LA ❤️
Been meaning to come by to try them out for a while now, I’m glad to have had a chance to eat here today. The vibe is pretty chill, the service was friendly and excellent. I ordered 10 of their $1.00 wing + soda I should have ordered the max of 15 wings, (5 soy garlic and 5 Yangnyeom) both taste good!, I may also order their fries next time. The place has a sports bar kind of vibe and kept clean
This is a great place to relax to watch sports while dining. You can sit at the bar or at a table. You can see the screens from there, as well. They have great korean fried chicken. My favorites are the soy-garlic and for spicy, get their yang-yum flavor which has sweet heat. Parmesan fries are another hit at this place. Don't forget their radish to eat with their wings, they go together nicely!! They have wide selection of other korean comfort foods or snacks, like an after school snacks for kids, like the spicy rice cake. Try them out, you won't be disappointed. 5 stars 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟for delicious korean fried chickens!!
Loved the wings! 2/2026: Dropped by on a Sat night for some wings, bao buns, and soju. Everything tasted good per usual. This place never dissapoints! 8/2025: I came during their $1 wing special in July. I tried the spicy BBQ, spy garlic, yangnyeom, and regular flavored wings. They were all good. I liked the Korean BBQ the most (very sweet and savory) and the plain one the least. They have beer on tap for decent prices, too. Customer service was good considering the place was packed. There's parking but the lot was packed. Most of the customers were from this restaurant too. I ended up parking on the street to save time.
I had BonChon many times in Thailand but this is the first time in USA and everything was different. This place has a local and cozy vibe. The server was very friendly and the food was more well-rounded than just fried chickens. The fried chicken was nice still, and worth ordering. The coating was thin and flaky. Inside was very juicy. I went when they had $1 wings promotion and I think it's still ongoing. This promotion made it really worth it. The pickled radish goes better than the coleslaw as a side to me. The bibimbap was very good too and it’s priced by which protein you pick. The Korean corn and corn dog didn’t stand out to me, but I think the food overall still deserve 5 stars.
The food is so delicious here!! The fries were crunchy, the meat sweet and flavorful, and the sauce was good! The tacos are delicious too especially the spicy ones. At the end we had a donut for dessert and it was warm and sweet. Perfect to end our dinner. Our waiter was very amiable and attentive. He gave us suggestions and was very nice! Definitely will be returning.
The crispy wings and seasoned fries are customer favorites!! These wings are double fried and their signature sauces are brushed on. It’s crunchy, sweet, spicy, salty and tangy! I couldn’t resist trying one of their new menu items: bulgogi Tteokbokki. The best of both worlds! So savory! The perfect chewy bite!! Don’t miss out on their Korean corn dog, pork belly bao buns, and crispy, spicy chicken sandwich!!
Dropped by Bonchon in San Gabriel with my brother for a late dinner, and it definitely hit the spot. We started with the bulgogi fries—perfect portion to share, and the sauce was on point. Only thing we wished for was a little more bulgogi on top. For the main event, we ordered the medium combo (8 wings and 4 drumsticks) with soy garlic and spicy flavors. Both were insanely good. You could tell they took the time to hand-brush the sauce on each piece—the chicken was fully coated, super crispy, and addicting. Every bite had us going back for more. We added pickled radish on the side, which was a smart move—it helped refresh our palate between the two bold flavors. For drinks, we tried the Terra beer from Korea, and it paired perfectly with the fried chicken. One last thing worth mentioning—they squeezed us in 30 minutes before closing on a Sunday night. Total MVPs for that. Honestly, one of the best spots for fried chicken in the SGV. We’ll definitely be back.
Came by the other day with some coworkers after seeing they had a $1 wing special (dine-in only). Bonchon is known for their Korean Fried Chicken, and they definitely deliver on that crispy goodness. I went with the Yangnyeom and Soy Garlic sauces—both packed with flavor and hit the spot. For a buck each? That’s a steal. I also tried their chicken sandwich with fries and was pleasantly surprised. The sandwich was juicy and flavorful—not dry at all. They’ve got happy hour drink deals too, which is a nice bonus. The shop is on the smaller side, so there might be a wait depending on when you go. But overall, when I’m craving KFC in the SGV, this spot is high on the list.
✨$1 Chicken Wings and $2 draft beers in the SGV✨ Crispy, saucy, and seriously addicting 🍗🔥 Bonchon San Gabriel’s got the $1 wing deal going strong, especially with that Soy Garlic & Korean BBQ combo😮💨 Plus the new Bulgogi Takeover Menu is a must-try: Bulgogi Stir-Fry Udon & Cheesy Bulgogi Rice! Other must-orders are their Pork Belly Bao Buns, Potstickers, and ice cream to cool off. AND wash it allll down with $2 Drafts or $7 pitchers of 805 & Modelo 🍻 First time trying Korean-Asian Fusion cuisine or don’t know what to get? Order this lineup and thank me later: 🍗soy garlic Wings 🍗Korean bbq wings 🥓Pork Belly Bao Buns 🥟Potstickers 🍜Bulgogi Stir-Fry Udon 🧀Cheesy Bulgogi Rice 🍩Korean Donuts & Sauce
We recently stopped by Bonchon in San Gabriel and ordered a generous batch of 30 wings, and let me just say… this place delivers on crunch. The wings were perfectly crispy and crunchy, just the way Korean fried chicken should be with a crust-like finish, and came in three delicious flavors: the iconic Soy Garlic, the sweet and smoky Korean BBQ, and a third flavor yangyeom that rounded things out beautifully. Each bite had that satisfying texture that Bonchon is known for, with flavors that hit all the right notes. To wash it down, we had two Angry Orchard ciders on draft—crisp, refreshing, and a perfect pairing to the spicy-savory wings. Overall, this visit was a hit, and I’d confidently give Bonchon San Gabriel a 7 out of 7 wings. Also worth noting: they seem to run monthly promotions, so it’s a good idea to check in regularly for deals or new items.
We have been coming here for almost 4 years and the quality is always the same. One of the crispiest chicken wings I ever tasted. Their seasoned fries are something else. Always flavorful and crispy. Staff is friendly and quick. Highly recommended.
Love their Soy Garlic + spicy mayo combo. We all had a great dinner. Even the kids enjoyed the chicken, fries is also good. 🙌
Just wow. Worth 1 hr of traveling. The chicken skin are super crispy. I have never eat chicken wing to the bone til tonight. 8 piece is perfect for 1 person. They are super busy but still got my wings fast. They also got bar style seat to eat and drink. Wish they have one in Rancho Cucamonga. 2nd time, got more stuff.

Food is delicious, wings are crispy and have a deep rich flavor. Clean restaurant, fast and reliable service. Good combo deals and cold drinks. Not much else you need from a friend chicken place. Oh and the Korean corn dog is pretty damn good.

When people ask me what's more important, food or love. I don't answer because I am eating fried chicken. Without further ado let's do this chicken review. Bonchon Chicken (Korean: ; Hanja: 本村) is a popular South Korean-based fried chicken restaurant. The word Bonchon is a Korean word meaning "My Hometown". Its SGV location is located in a midsize plaza on W. Las Tunas Drive and S. Mission Dr. I was knackered after a long drive and craving for Korean chicken. Thus, Siri directed me to Bonchon. I arrived and was greeted by Jason, a young male host. I perused their takeout menu. And I opted for boneless 10 pc chicken strips with coleslaw. He said it will take 20 mins so I summoned Siri to set time. Long and behold my order was ready in 12 minutes so I was elated. I love my boneless chicken! And you will too, trust me. ;) lol. It's sweet crunchy on the outside and tender juicy white meat on the inside. It's like being touched for the very first time. Moreover, their Coleslaw taste good. Prices seem reasonable. Parking lot was full when arrive; I was lucky to get a spot. Overall, I had a great takeout order experience and I highly recommend this Bonchon location.
I got the fried rice with kimchi bacon, bolgogi and chicken... It was super good. The kimchi adding a tad bit of spice is complimented by the sweetness of the bolgogi beef and the tenderness of the chicken... The fries were also fried to a almost perfect consistency with the chicken strips half and half combo being the final dish ... Overall here is my tally below Flavor 5/5 - super good for fast food Price 3/5 - it's a bit pricey but so are the competitor's Bonchon is one of my all time favorite fast food / quick eat places with good music, food, staff and prices. I will be back as always.
My wife and I are huge fans of Korean fried chicken and we visit k-town frequently just for that. We found out about this chain restaurant and finally gotten a chance to try it out. There were about 5 2-seater tables along the sidewalk. They are there for you if you prefer to eat your food hot and no service will be provided. It was pretty easy to place an order at the window and our order came out in about 20min. We ordered 10 piece boneless chicken and Bull Dak. First of all, their boneless chicken pieces are huge and they were white meat. We were pretty much full after finishing it. My only feedback is that they could put more sauce when mixing them. Bull Dak is rice cake stirred fry with chicken in hot sauce (came with white rice on the side). It's very flavorful with a good amount of spicy, just how we like it. I only wish they can have a bit more rice cake and less rice. Overall, it's a very solid fried chicken place. I would say it's 4.5 out 5 stars.
We went there for dinner. The place was full on a Tuesday night, but the wait wasn't long. Overall service was prompt and attentive. Food was great! We ordered the medium combo (wings and drums) half & half. I loved the soy garlic flavor; the spicy one was a bit too spicy for me. We also tried the zucchini fries and the bulgogi taco (forgot to take a pic of this!!). Everything was delicious! I had a soju, green grape flavor ~ oh so good!! If you have a good tolerance for alcohol, you gotta try it! Casual and relaxing ambience. Recommend for a casual night out.
Service was snappy and good. Food came out surprisingly fast. The portions of seasoned fries is huge! There isn't enough ketchup for all the fries. :( As always the fried chicken is delicious and the spicy has a little bit of heat to it. I ordered a lunch wing only combo and got some drums with it. Very odd, but I'm not arguing. The wings and fries were a touch too salty this time, I found myself drinking lots and lots of water during and after my lunch.

The fries and chicken were flavorful, the Udon was lacking taste. We ordered a medium size of boneless chicken. It says on the menu that it is 20 pieces, but it was definitely more than 20.

I've only had the chicken drumsticks, which are beyond fantastic. I ordered the chicken sandwich this time, with extra sauce, expecting the coated sauce like the drumsticks. It's nothing like the drumsticks. There's a coating, but smooth with minimum taste, although it is a quality breast. I asked for extra sauce thinking it'd be like the drumsticks, but it is not, it is a side dipping sauce that cost .95¢. I thought I was paying extra for the delicious crispy coating. SO disappointed. However, their menu has expanded and I look forward to finding something else.

Quality has gone down recently. Last time I bought a half and half and the chicken was cooked perfectly and divided in a container. This time the chicken was burnt and everything was thrown in the same container mixing the flavors. I attached a before and after picture showing the difference in quality
I ate a fair share of Korean fried chickens while living in Korea. The fried chicken offered by Bonchon is nowhere close to the street corner or fancy fried chicken restaurants that I have the pleasure in tasting. I ordered the garlic sauce drumstick/wing/tender special. I barely can taste the garlic. There is no sweetness to the sauce. The chicken, especially the tender, is beyond salty. Two large cups of water is not enough to quench my thirst and to reduce the saltiness. And unfortunately, chicken in the United states, while big and meaty, lacks the flavor. Two stars goes to the excellent service and the crispyness/texture you would expect from a Korean fried chicken place. 1/2 star more for the flavored fries. I like the fries so much more than the chicken. The fries are very delicious.
I love the chicken here and always get the boneless but I don’t know…lately it has not been up to par. I ordered the 20 piece boneless for almost $30 and I got 20 pieces that were barely a little larger than the size of a quarter for roughly $1.50 a piece. Some were just burnt bits. I’m highly disappointed… 2 stars because food is tasty and staff is nice. -3 stars for skimpy food and price gouging.
Went there because our daughter likes fried chicken wings and we loved the korean fried chicken we ate at ktown. Not a good decision. Ordered fried drumsticks and wings. Both half and half. Flavor was ok but nothing special. Ordered the zucchini fries, the zucchini was so thinly sliced that you can't even see it or taste it, all breadings. The flavored fries was ok, my daughter liked it or maybe she was just very hungry because our orders took a while to come out. The beef bulgogi was mediocre too, first time to see mushrooms in bulgogi not crazy about it. Made it look like they are added to make it seem there's a lot of meat. Flavor is ok. Service is so, so. They took time to take our orders even if there was only 3 tables with customers (including ours) and also took time to serve our orders (orders came one at a time, after one order is finished, only then did the other order was served.). There was a guy who is really good in customer service (curly hair with stache) and made up for the lack of others.
I am writing this review as a serious warning to the public. Bonchon San Gabriel completely failed in both food quality and customer service, and this was hands down one of the most frustrating restaurant experiences I’ve ever had. Let’s start with the food — because it was awful. The chicken wings were extremely dry, overcooked, and disgusting. Not crispy — dry and stale. Every single sauce we tried — spicy, Korean BBQ, soy garlic, and yangnyeom — was dry, crusted, flavorless, and tasted horrible. Nothing tasted fresh. Nothing tasted right. It honestly felt like old food that should never have been served. Now the service — which somehow managed to be even worse than the food. Sidney (who claimed to be the manager) and Raphael provided some of the worst customer service I have ever experienced. They were rude, dismissive, unprofessional, and disrespectful from the moment issues were brought up. No apology. No concern. No effort to fix anything. Just attitude, irritation, and a complete lack of accountability. They made it very clear that customer satisfaction means nothing at this location. If Sidney truly is the manager, then this place’s problems start at the top. Their behavior alone was enough to make the experience completely unbearable. I left feeling angry, disrespected, and completely ripped off. Bad food is one thing. Bad food AND horrible service is unforgivable. Bonchon San Gabriel is a complete waste of time and money. Do yourself a favor and stay far away from this location.
The service was terrible. I dont even write reviews but the service today that I had compelled me to write a review on how horrifying the service was. Me and my friends came in and waited around 50 minutes for our wings and korean corn dogs. There were a group that came in 30 minutes after we made our order and got their food before us. By the time we got our wings, not the corndogs, the people that were here after us already left. They had the audacity to ask us if we wanted to add the korean corndogs to our order when we asked them where our corndogs were. The waiter also took our water to be refilled and then forgot about us for another 15 minutes. I used to love going here but after the service today I have a deep hatred for this restaurant.
