Not sure I really want to post this. It’s a hidden GEM. Excellent food! Nice quaint place you can actually have a conversation and beautiful setting with a top notch staff. Please don’t come here while I’m on my vacation so I can continue to enjoy the treasure.

Stumbled across this place while searching for a place online. Seemed like something to try while in the area. Turns out, it's awesome. The hotel is beautiful but is detached from the bar so it's not like your eating in a hotel restaurant. The mezcal selection was among the best I've seen. Jose took great care of us and knew everything there was to know about what he was serving. Can't wait to come back to this gem.

Excellent cocktails & chicken quesadilla. If you are lucky to be there on DJ night (Thursdays after Art Walks) & DJ Yeska Luna is on, then you’re in for a chill treat :). Loved it so much we went back. Plus the courtyard is full of plants & fans, so comfortable especially in the back corner tables.

Best Chilaquiles I have ever had and probably one of the best piña coladas. It was a deconstructed piña colada, and absolutely delicious. Patio is lovely.

En mis pasadas vacaciones que estuve en Cabo ir a Dritf me encantó. La primera vez fui a la hora del brunch, estuvieron deliciosos los chilaques, sólo que fue mucha porción, jajajajjaaja. Las bebidas tuve la fortuna de conocer a Mauricio que es el tender de la barra que,uffff, qué cosas tan delis prepara. Primero probé una piña colada única, otras bebidas a base de mezcal , puros inventos del tender que wow. Porque además pregunta muy atento tus gustos para ofrecerte justo lo que tu paladar necesita. Además se le ve mucha pasión a su trabajo. En la noche volví para los jueves de drift y lo mismo,excelente vibe, súper agusto para estar, yo en lo personal creo que las bebidas son el fuerte. El chico Mauricio, el tender es conocido por todos los que van al local por su buena onda y excelente trabajo. En conclusión, me encanta Drift para cuando uno va a Cabo, tiene una experiencia de alto nivel pero agusto, agradable.

This was my favorite meal of our trip to Cabo. The shrimp tacos and quesa birria were incredible with their homemade salsa. First time I had a Mezcaloni and it was very good, unique. Huge Mezcal list and the bartender helped me pick out something I’d never had before. Ice cream with homemade banana bread was good as well.

Went here based on the positive reviews… it’s your basic Mexican fare well executed at a very reasonable price. The atmosphere is casual and airy… chill is the right term. Solid mixed drinks and excellent service. You’ll have a nice meal, well served, and it won’t break the bank. Enjoy Update 2026…. Great breakfast too !

We stayed at the hotel as well and spent our time trying breakfasts, apps, dinners, and cocktails throughout the week. I feel like, if this isn’t a hidden gem, it is a very special and excellent place to get absolutely delicious, authentic food in a town that has that on every block. The breakfast burrito was the best my partner and I have ever had. The tacos are made with fresh tortillas that the staff make every day. You can watch them pressing and cooking them while you are sipping on coffee in the morning. The fish and the shrimp were cooked perfectly for the tacos. The coffee was perfect and we had a fondness for the moka which seamlessly blended the flavors of chocolate and coffee without tasting overly sweet or syrupy. Chefs kiss! And if you like mezcal, this is your place in San Jose. The atmosphere is mellow, and beautiful, and the staff are happy to talk about the mezcals on the shelf which are all 100% agave and a lot are artisanal from small producers throughout the states of Mexico. I did a tasting with Maurice and he was incredibly knowledgeable and genuinely excited about the mezcals that they carry. Every one that I had was wildly unique and delicious and having Maurice walk me through the company, where it was produced, the production process and types of agave made for a memorable experience that I will never forget. Also, my wife was pregnant during this trip and the staff made her delicious mocktails that were honestly excellent. Can’t recommend enough! If you are staying at Drift, get food, get cocktails, get mezcal here. If you aren’t staying at Drift, come here, ask questions, eat the food. It is all wonderful.

Ran across this cute cafe on our walk, it is a bit off the main path, but worth a detour. Based on the high review average, we stopped in for breakfast. SUPER DELICIOUS!!! If you like a little spice; the sauce that comes with the burrito is amazing!

This place a hidden gem & oasis in the middle of downtown! The atmosphere is a vibe and this small restaurant & bar is right outside the boutique hotel. We came with our kids on a Monday evening and it was quiet with not many folks around. The food was great and felt like a modern twist on local classics. Tacos use handmade tortillas that come with great hot sauces. The drinks were on another level, the Diabla and Oaxaca New Fashioned were devine. The service was also fantastic, Alex was awesome to talk to with great suggestions on things to do around town. Can’t wait to come back!

Easy to miss…We just happened to peek in as we passed by to find this very cool spot to hang out in the arts district. An industrial chic Kitchen and Mezcal Bar at the Hotel Drift hosted by friendly staff. José and Chef Amador made our afternoon fun. Came for breakfast in the hotel. The food was excellent, the service was somewhat disconnected. It’s not affiliated with the hotel so maybe that’s why. Cannot charge to the room so be prepared for that. Overall a nice place

Good service from a friendly bartender. Outdoor area in the "lobby" of a hotel. Delicious guacamole and incredible fish tacos. The only issue I had was the amount of house flies. I was swatting flies the whole time.

Llegué a desayunar en lunes, el lugar estaba solo, una sola mesera muy atenta y activa, amable y cordial. Demasiado calor y tiene lonas para evitar el sol y algunos ventiladores colgados de árboles para aminorar el clima caliente. Pedí un avocado toast pero lo que me gustó fue que le ponen un toque de pistache a diferencia de otros lugares. Sin embargo, también a diferencia, es pequeño y solo lo acompañan con una salsa "medio picante". Un shot de gengibre muy bueno y un chai latte, que, para el tamaño se me hizo algo alto de precio. Ahí les dejo el menú. Honestamente no es un lugar que recomendaría para desayunar por el calor pero quizá en la noche se ponga mejor y haya más gente. Ah! No ví el letrero donde dijera que SOLO aceptan pago con tarjeta, OJO...

I like this place - nice for a quick bite, unpretentious and tasty albeit a bit inconsistent. Allegedly there’s a system issue which causes approx 16% to be automatically added to your bill…giving the benefit of the doubt on this one but just keep an eye out. Prices in Mexico include tax!

I have taken my family to this restaurant a few times because the breakfast food is well prepared, thus delicious. The first and second time, I met a very nice lady in charge (supervisor) and her great service oriented attitude and the good food made me come back. However, I went back last week, she was not there anymore, and the only waitress was in a bad mood and made us feel pretty uncomfortable. The food was still great, but they have in their menu pastries, but they had told us the last 2 visits that they did not have them, which was disappointing, but not the main reason I won't be back. When people do not like their job, they certainly show it, and the customer pays the price. I have stopped being one. I do not go to a place I pay for a service to be treated with disdain.

It’s crazy this place is on a top list of food around here, I had burnt mahi tacos that tasted horrible, severely over fried and now love put into it at all. This shouldn’t be taken off of top searches!

Coffe was so watery , no flavor watsoever . We ordered several drinksat the same time. We should’ve ordered one firat to taste it. We paid extra for non dairy milk but regret it. We ended up throwing all of the drinks to the trash. A waste of $30.00 us Very unsatisfied

Si quieres ir a tomarte unas fotos lindas, el lugar está bien, pero no vayas a comer porque el costo vs la calidad del platillo no tienen logica. Hablaré particularmente del budín, en mi experiencia considero que un plato de 220 pesos, por lo menos deberían cuidar que la fruta usan no esté echada a perder, la presentación no es mala pero la porción es minúscula. Respecto a los tacos de dorado, debo decir que parecía más un taco de col en vez de un taco de pescado empanizado, con poco sabor y a la mesa llego con la tortilla fria. La atención es buena y muy agradable.
