Kinda old style drive in setup. (Pull up with lights on) and someone will come to your car/ there's not a walk up window, although they have picnic tables. I guess you can walk up to a table). We ate in our car. The hot dog tasted good fresh, but the vanilla shake I had ( stole the show) was pretty smooth. Cash or card accepted. Mark's Hot Dogs has been around for awhile, even through tough times.🙂 So give Mark's a spot on your food stops.

This place is a staple of my childhood and probably many other 90s babies that had parents/ grandparents living around this hood for decades! But my dad and I went tonight after having intense cravings… let me tell you! Never a disappointment, it brought me back 20+ years with their chili cheese dogs with onions. The lady that helped us was super nice and the food came out quick! Thank you guys for tonight and all the many other nights we came here for a late night fix of classics dogs!

Got the chili cheese dog and a soda and it was 12 bucks and totally delicious. The staff were really cool. Very unassuming place classic snacks and just really cool building and set up.

Best hotdogs place around but to be honest, not alot of great hotdogs places in the Silicon Valley, and if you know any other places please respond back with some names. 4 star because I paid $12 for 2 hotdogs 🌭 🌭 and I can't see myself doing that again. Not the best hotdogs I've had. Costco and the stands in front of home depots can be better than these expensive dogs. But 4 star by default and great atmosphere they setup for customers wanting to eat in car. They come out to you and take your order. Customer service was good. No problems in that area. Great spot to take your kids for the experience. Come New Yorkers, where are those great hotdogs places in or around San Jose, an willing to make a road trip out of it. Food connoisseur here! Got a regular dog with everything and a cheese dog. Saving the cheese dog for later... mmmmm 🤤🤤🤤👍

Its always a pleasure to come by this landmark and get a bite to eat. Whenever I go here, I get the chili cheese dog and fry, and it’s always so good. It might be pricy but Its a great place to visit once in a while. I love parking and eating in the car it gives the atmosphere a old fashioned feeling and the employees are always so nice. I recommend for anyone who hasn’t tried this place yet!

The chili dogs are just as good as they've always been and the service is quick and friendly. My only complaint is what seems to be the ever rising price of the food. In other words, expect to pay stadium prices for your hot dogs. Nevertheless, it does still scratch a certain nostalgic itch for me so I'll continue to come back.

More than I actually expected first I pulled in and before I can even get out of my car and employee approached me and asked to take my order. Very impressed. As I was parked I could see the menu up on the wall. I waited about 5 to 8 minutes the order came to my car promptly they took my credit card I sign for it and I went home and ate some great hot dogs. To me this place is an original hidden hideout in San Jose. Mark's Hot Dogs should be opening Mark's Hot Dogs number 2 either downtown or in Santana Row and city of San Jose should be promoting local little holes like this that are totally off-the-wall and amazing

Great dogs. Second to none. The problem is their unhappy staff with attitudes. They take your order like you're bothering them. The prices are sky high and while I love 2 get high, I hate paying high prices. If you want a hot dog bad enough especially a good hot dog. You just kind of deal with all the other crap as far as the attitude and the lack of making anyone feel like a valued and appreciated customer. The snapper dogs are great. If you want great dogs and you can get there for the very.few hours they are open (how do you run a business only being open 5 hours a day?) you'll love these dogs.

Not satisfied at all! I can believe we paid for frozen cheese. Not respectful employees, she was talking to other employee about 10 minutes and ignoring us. Food came very late and cold, I ordered a hot dog with cheese which was bad, cheese was super cold, almost frozen. And prices are not good at all $3.5 for small coke. Restaurant is super cute and close to our home but bad service and horrible test, not a good experience.

I'm very sad to say this was definitely not the Mark's Hot Dogs I remember. Born and raised in San Jose and Mark's was the place to go long ago when still on Alum Rock. I remember car side service frost root beer floats and delicious hot dogs with a skin that sort of snapped when you took a bite. I had been telling my boyfriend of the great experience and family trips to Mark's since the 60's and this just wasn't it anymore. To be fair it's been over 10 + years since I last came to Mark's but the hot dogs were nothing to write home about. Way too much mustard, no snap or "bite" to the dog and the lemonade was like pure sugar. Honestly 7 11 has a better dog. So very disappointed. I wanted to start a new generation on the tradition of this place but sadly that's not going to happen. I won't recommend again. 😔

Service was fast and friendly. The food was already done like she literally walked in and walked out with our food. When we got the food I was extremely disappointed, the polish hot dog was so small and the flavor was dull and watered down if anything it was more like a hot dog, not a polish dog at all. Also, not worth the price we just got two “polish hot dogs” and it came up to $17.00 !! I would have rather had a big bite from 711 better price and flavor compared to here. I’ve had other food from here before too and it was average. I don’t see what the hype is about.

I love Mark's hot dogs but my honey and I went online shows it's open till 6:00 p.m. and then Friday Saturday 8:00 p.m. it's only 4:00 and everything is closed disappointed

Ah, was looking forward to having hotdogs with my dad only to find it closed? Almost past it but found the gate was locked, did I miss the real driveway? Looked abandoned so I kept on driving.
