Avis sur SP2 San Jose
Amazing experience. We were walking around and passed by this place. Unfortunately, they were not open at this time, but we came back during opening hours. So glad we came back because we would’ve spent the entire night here. It was fantastic. The stimulating conversation from Link, Don and Lex with their input on what to see and what to visit while in San Jose was phenomenal. Will 100%… no will 110% come back here. The food superb, the drinks phenomenal and the atmosphere perfection. Highly recommend.
Came here on a Sunday and thought that it was not only a spacious open and welcoming place but had amazing options. Taking Mexican dishes and giving them an American twist with the same elevated flavors. Ordered the morning pizza and the chilaquiles with Mole sauce and it was delicious. My friend and I shared both dishes, that are large and very reasonably priced. Definitely enjoyed the ambiance, reasonably price and portions sizes. Will definitely recommend to a friend. Also a champagne bottle for $30 is not a bad deal whatsoever, left toasty and full.
Since the day this place opened. It has been a delight. Definitely on the list of some of the best happy hour in downtown San Jose. Consistency is king and with this spot consistency is on point. Everything from the sticky ribs to their warm burrata cheese, the food is great. I understand there. Chef is very talented and is indeed keeping the bar high. Happy hour drinks are a good deal, and if you get there early enough, you can find a seat at the bar or outside on the covered patio. I’m glad they’ve survived and are still doing great things.
The restaurant has the fun “Build your own Mimosa”, always good to have a bottle with orange or grape fruit juice. Ribs are delicious with great texture of sweet and sour flavor. It’s well cooked and soft, and juice too. $14 for 6 pieces and $20 for a dozen. Very good for sharing. Salmon Benedict is quite big plate also good for sharing. Outside patio has lots of seats and space. Summer hanging out with music and fresh air would be a good option
It’s a restaurant bar and club all in one place. Food has excellent quality and perfectly cooked. Presentation is basic and efficient. Flavor is spot on. Not over seasoned. Large portions. The cocktails are fantastic, we had 5 different cocktail and all had complex flavor structure, balanced. Very reasonable prices. Amazing selection of bottle service.
Limited menu but still great food. Nice hostess and the manager Bebes is just the best. Really enjoyed my dinner with my husband. The truffle popcorn was super tasty. Brussels sprouts were delish... oh and the bread they served were buttery, warm and soft on the inside. Yum. It’s nice to be able to enjoy a nice atmosphere during Covid times...
Great food, loved the atmosphere

Miles at SP2 is amazing! No matter how busy the bar gets, he always takes care of me with a smile. His service is fast, friendly, and consistent every single time. You can tell he genuinely enjoys what he does and makes everyone feel welcome. Definitely one of the best bartenders in the area. Miles always makes my experience at SP2 top notch!
Came here for a quick brunch bite and was SHOCKED at how good the food was. Fried chicken wasn't heavy—just the right oil temp. And the slaw wasn't drenched in mayo, just a nice clean dressing to accompany crispy potatoes and ribs. I'll definitely be back.
We ate here before a show and had a great experience. All of us enjoyed the drinks, appetizers and our entrees! Overall great experience from start to finish. I'll be back for sure!

We were barhopping in San Jose and happened to come across SP2 Communal Bar + Restaurant, so we decided to walk in—and I’m glad we did. The place was nicely decorated with Christmas decorations, giving it a really festive and welcoming vibe. They also had some cool holiday drinks, especially one that came in a National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation eggnog moose cup, which was awesome and nostalgic. Another drink came in a fun lightbulb-shaped cup, which was a nice touch. Overall, it’s definitely a great spot to check out, and the drinks were pretty good too. Would for sure stop by again. 🍹🎄
My recent dinner at SP2 was quite a positive experience. Yummy food with beautiful presentation, great cocktails, excellent service, and good scene. I also like its space, both inside and the courtyard.

Great spacious bar away from the crowd of the main dtsj strip. High quality food. Good servers good people. Some of the bartenders are rude not very friendly. Overall great places. Good dj with lives music on weekends. Clean. Small bathroom long lines.
Consider this place more of a bar than a restaurant. Place was simple but cute. Had an open floor concept to it. Food: it was okay. Not the best, but it wasn’t the worst. Cocktails were well made. They delivered what and how they needed to deliver! 🙃 Service: Super friendly staff! However, cleaning the kitchen (spraying, wiping, brooming, mopping, etc) while still cooking food orders cannot be sanitary!!!! 🫠 Ambience: DJ was on point! Definitely would go back on a late spring or summer day/night just for cocktails. Parking: available either in nearby structures or meter street parking.
The place is generally very happening every time I have passed by so finally tried it. I do not appreciate that they make their waitresses wear skimpy clothes, especially more so in the winter. Like why!? You will do just fine with having them warmly dressed. I would give this place a 5 star if not for this. I did love the cocktail I got, it was a coffee one and so good. There was a huge block of ice in the middle and then the drink around it. So no ice chunks weirdly coming in your mouth, and the drink was so smooth and tasty!
Overall: SP2 hasn't change since my colleges years, which was a very long time ago. The food is average. The atmosphere is good and it's located next to San Pedro Square. We had a large group, which they accommodated. We went on Cinco De Mayo. The had a mariachi band playing live music until 7pm. Crowd seem pretty slow for a holiday. Food: Linguine was not that good. The pasta tasted overcooked. The sauce was average. For the price you pay, I expected better. Hot wings were good here. Flavorful, but not convenient to eat. Probably the best dish I had at the restaurant. The Brussel sprouts were overcooked for us. They also overseason it. I assume it's a hit or miss as others have told me it was good. Take your chances ordering it. The ribs rely heavily on their sauce. I thought the ribs were okay. My friends weren't too pleased with them. Drinks: Sangria was delicious and easy to drink here. Probably their best tasting drink here. Service: Service was very slow here. I had to get my own plates and cutlery since the workers were too busy talking to each other. I wasn't offered water at anytime. When I was able to get an order of food, that's when the service was better. They were able to get the order in and brought to me. Ambience: The restaurant feels more like a club than a restaurant. The room was dark and neutral. Seats were pretty much bar style. They weren't that comfortable. The main focus seems to be the bar.

Don't bother to go here! Our brunch experience was horrible. Where do I start! We were given dinner menu first despite confirming about the menu. Service is super slow, our orders weren't taken for the longest time. The waitress forgot to get our mains. Food lacked seasoning and tasted bland. I would definitely not recommend this place to anyone.
Food was okay. I'm disappointed in the quality. I used to come here nearly every week. The oysters were flavorless. The ribs... What happened?!? I used to order 2-3 servings if these to take home. The pork belly was disappointing. The burrata and beet salad were the best part. Chicken wings were cooked perfectly. I enjoyed the smokey chili rub. The worst part? It took HALF AN HOUR to get the bill. I wish I were exaggerating. Never again.
Had planned to enjoy Friday evening with friends out, but due to a large group celebrating a birthday, despite having reservations, we ended up in corner seats, which wasn't very enjoyable. The food was way below average . Coming to parking there were many street parking available 5-10min walking distance.

One of the worst bar experiences I’ve had. The service was disorganized and blatantly unfair from the moment we arrived. My friends and I came at 12am, yet our group had already paid for and secured a table. we were repeatedly told the venue was “at capacity” while staff continued letting other people walk in. It became very obvious that certain guests were being allowed entry simply by slipping cash to the bouncers, which is extremely unprofessional and raises serious concerns about integrity and safety. Having a reservation clearly meant nothing here. Instead of honoring paying customers, the staff prioritized under-the-table payments and favoritism. After I called out one bouncer for letting in 3 tall white males in after slipping him money, he tried to say they were already in the bar before and asked why I was “yelling” at him, when I was confused on why he let the males in when they came at the same time as us and clearly didn’t have previous stamps. & claimed that he “wasn’t in charge of tables” so he couldn’t do anything. The atmosphere is chaotic, poorly managed, and dishonest. I would not return, and I would caution others not to waste their money if they expect fair treatment or basic professionalism. The bouncers that need to be reevaluated is the Asian one with the white hair streak, and the African American male, stocky build with locs.
I’m not even sure how this place deserves a one star 🤦🏻♀️. Paid over 2k for bottle service to celebrate my sister in laws birthday. We were told we can go out to change clothes and come back as long as we had a stamp. Came back 5 mins later and was told my husband and I could not come back in due to the “manager” saying we could not re-enter I said there must be some misunderstanding and asked to please speak to the manager and the security was so rude (one with ponytail and septum piercing). We were told to leave and come back another time! Completely ridiculous! Definitely bring your service elsewhere!
I waited over 40 minutes for a drink, and when I asked to speak to a manager about the service, I was assaulted by security instead and dragged out. He proceeded to drag me by my skirt revealing my private parts to the whole club. I’m not sure how this is legal. This place needs to be shut down. They delete security footage if you try to pursue a case. I was assaulted and I’ve heard many other stories of people having the same experience
Terrible experience everybody that works here is extremely unfriendly. You’re better off going to another establishment nearby if you’re looking to have a good time. The security guards will push you around and have a very strange way of doing their job and just being violent towards everyone if it’s crowded. Never had a good time here. Would not return.
