I've had Chinese all the U.S. and overseas, and was shocked at how delicious this small restaurant is. It might not be flashy in decor, but it's flashy in taste.

I stopped in at Mandarin house to dine in on a Friday evening and was pleasantly surprised by the excellent food, cozy atmosphere, and friendly service. We sampled the vegetable Lo Mein, pork fried rice, and Kung Pao chicken. Each dish tasted fresh and simply prepared, with excellent and nuanced seasoning. This will definitely be my go to spot for takeout American Chinese food in the future.

Very comforting and delicious food. The portions are generous, so when I order delivery here I have 2 or 3 meals of tasty leftovers. I have ordered delivery several times from here and am working my way through the menu. Cumin lamb - extremely tasty, subtle and rich flavors General Tsaos Chicken - American Chinese classic that hits the spot Sesame Chicken - nice crunchy fried chicken very similar to General Tsaos but with a more subtle flavor Dry braised string beans - very nice though surprisingly spicy. Some people in my family found it a little intense. I liked it but just know it’s spicy Mixed Steamed Vegetables - seriously who would have guessed streamed vegetables could be so satisfying. It came with a gravy in a separate container so you could measure it as you like Hot and sour soup - simple classic Satisfying and comforting are the two words that sum it up. Since I found it this is my go-to for Chinese delivery. It hits the spot every time.

I only ever get take out here but consistently delicious food at the best prices. I also love how many veggie and tofu options they have. Best chinese near bernal

The food was indescribably delicious. We ordered the walnut shrimp, dry-aged chicken wings, and fried garlic ribs. The service was excellent, the young waitress went out of her way to make sure we got everything we wanted, and the food was prompt and just the right temperature.

The first thing I noticed when I walked into their shop were the kids behind the counter, quietly drawing. Very well mannered with friendly staff quiet atmosphere warm lighting and the smell of delicious dim sum being cooked. I was very happy with the price as I expected it to be more or to somehow get taxed but it was exactly what it said on the menu and the food was delicious. I will be returning again the next time I'm in the mood for some quality Chinese cooking

Today I had the seafood hot pot, spicy beef, fish slices with pea shoots, and spicy eggplant with chicken and shrimp. They were all delicious and offered great value for money. The seafood in the hot pot was fresh and flavorful, while the spicy beef had the perfect amount of heat. The combination of fish slices and pea shoots was a delightful pairing, and the spicy eggplant with chicken and shrimp was a tasty explosion of flavors.

By far, the best General Tso chicken I've ever had. And I've had it in many, many places bc I love it. Barbeque pork buns were awesome, made just the way they should b and the fried rice was perfection. The prices were amazing considering all the super inflation happening now. My daughter and I dined in the restaurant and my small dog sat rite by me. They didn't give me any kind of static about the dog being there and that's a huge bonus point in my opinion. I will definitely b eating here often. Recommend.

We we've ordered twice delivery in the past few weeks, and they're a solid restaurant. Delivery was quick for SF - under an hour. Health score of 94 too (they've since dropped to 66 and 82, so I've downgraded my review to 3 stars). The first order was amazing. Every dish we had was delicious: General Tso's Chicken, String Bean Beef, Mu-Shu Pork, Cashew Chicken, Spring Rolls, Pot Stickers, and BBQ Pork Chow Fun. The second order was mixed. We enjoyed the Chicken Corn Soup, the Sesame Chicken, and the Broccoli Beef - they were great! The King Salmon Fillet was a bit over-cooked, the strings beans were a little too tough in the String Bean Fried Tofu with Garlic and Salt, and the Fried Brown Rice was kind of mushy.

But I don't think even that timing can account for the soggy and witheredness, as the breading on chicken was SO thick and spongey and the beans were not crunchy AT ALL. Rarely am i a bad review giver but this was really bad :(

Fried rice so freaking oily that oil was dripping while I had my first bite. The salt and pepper fish was a joke it was just deep fried oily messy dough with no fish inside. So oily I had to trow out the whole thing. I saw bad reviews and I was like how bad it could be. Trust me it's so bad! Chow mein had weird smell and meat smelled bad as well def not fresh. Terrible food I will never ever order from this place. They made me hate chinese food! Don't be fooled by get one free scam. You are paying for junk not food.

The shrimp in my Chow Fun dish was old and chewy. The noodles were also old…definitely not made today. Very disappointed because the reviews were good. The restaurant itself is a hole in the wall, with very little seating. Mostly people seem to order to go. Can’t go back.

I’ve ordered from them before but this was totally unacceptable. The seafood was very tough and difficult to chew. Deep fried prawns were fried in old oil and burnt. Called the Mandarin House Restaurant and the manager said there was nothing she could do.

The shrimp in my Chow Fun dish was old and chewy. The noodles were also old…definitely not made today. Very disappointed because the reviews were good. The restaurant itself is a hole in the wall, with very little seating. Mostly people seem to order to go. Can’t go back.

I’ve ordered from them before but this was totally unacceptable. The seafood was very tough and difficult to chew. Deep fried prawns were fried in old oil and burnt. Called the Mandarin House Restaurant and the manager said there was nothing she could do.
