Wow we had so much fun celebrating our combo bachelor and bachelorette at Mayloo’s last weekend! The general manager, Nick, went completely out of his way to make sure we had the best night and thanks to him we did!! We actually started the night off at the bar, visited a couple others and then made our way back to Mayloo’s because the atmosphere was perfect for our group! Nick was so so so sweet. Gave my fiancé and I mini bottles of champagne, played all mine and my girlfriend’s favorite songs, and ensured that strangers around us were being kind and respectful. I can’t say enough good things about not only the drinks and the atmosphere, but the staff who worked there! They truly made the whole night for my group and we had a ball!! Will definitely be returning.

Love hanging out at Mayloos. The whole staff is always friendly and helpful. Josh was my bartender for the night the bar was insanely packed but Josh was quick to take our order and even asked how our evening was. Always a good time at Mayloos definitely will be coming back!

Great place to get your "social fix" during a night or day out on the town. Great atmosphere, crowd, music and drink specials. This has to be the best bar/restaurant on the San Marcos Square. Their bartenders the fastest bartenders and always makes sure to get drinks out as fast. Definitely my favorite place to go to on the square. They are the bomb!

Rustic themed bar along the main San Marcos square. There is a larger bar inside and an additional bar on the back patio, complete with swing chairs. The bar seems to specialize in beer, shots, cocktails made with shots, and cocktails made with Sprite or red bull. There is paid and free street parking in the area.

They used my friend getting Mexican candy shots as an excuse to tell her she’s drunk. Who’s too drunk with Mexican candy shots. They wanted no smoke licking me out because I’m trans and used that excuse. We had just bought beer and they made us throw it away. I’m speaking to the community don’t go here if you don’t want to be targeted or the way I was using a different language excuse. By the way we went to two different bars and had no issue there so why was she “too drunk”????

Was traveling and thought I would stop in for a bit. Not as fun as I was told... The bouncers are rude. And I saw 3 people in line get rejected entry because they had tattoos which I thought was strange. A tattoo doesn't mean you're a bad person. I don't have tattoos so I didn't have that problem. I won't be returning.

Not once but twice have I had issues with them. For my 21st birthday the bouncer felt the need to not let me in because I was "too close to him". It was the 1st bar we had gone too as well. Second time I go to get a drink and I get charged 2 extra dollars on a Long Island because apparently they have a fee for closing a tab (which he never told me when he charged me). Not only did it mess with my attitude but it ruined my experience both times going (or trying to go). If you read this there are other bars on the square to go to.

We went to this bar to meet a friend who might I say, has tattoos all along his arms and neck. We get there and because my boyfriend has tattoos all along his arms and neck, the door guy says he can't come in. We explained, we were meeting a friend who was already inside with tattoos along his arms similar to my BOYFRIEND'S. The manager came up and told the door guy, "It's up to you. " The door guy then looks at my boyfriend up and down and says' "No, I said no, he can't come in". Tell me if that's NOT discriminating!? What a circus this bar runs... they pick and choose their friends rather than REAL CUSTOMERS! Sad to say, I even told them they were discriminating and they didn't think so. Saddest thing is the manager was at the door and gave the door guy the decision, even when OUR FRIEND WENT UP TO HIM AND TOLD HIM HE HAD SLEEVE TATS AS WELL and although he (the manager) knew him, he still told us no! Yet, the other bars we ended up at said that was the 1st time they've heard of them being that way. I'm not even a local, but they are! Wow! STRAIGHT UP DESCRIMINATING! I wouldn't waste my time on MayLou's at all after this experience!. Had I known your names, I would have posted them too, at 1 am on July 27, 2023‼️

I ordered one Lone Star paid $5 and told the bar tender to keep the change. I sat outside to enjoy my beverage halfway through my drink while sitting by myself Some random bouncer confronts me and tells me I am too drunk and forces me out of the bar. The second bouncer behind him tells me I don't know what you did but I have to kick you out. This type of behavior is disgusting. Half of a beer and I'm too drunk because I'm sitting by myself listening to the music.
