First time customers, my wife and I decided to have lunch there since we were shopping nearby. Atmosphere was quaintly cute, half full but not crowded. My wife ordered her usual chicken pad thai. I however I mixed it up a little and opted for the honey glazed roasted duck with jasmine rice. Delish. Food came out quickly after we finished with our spring rolls. Fifty bucks before tip was reasonable for the amount of good food we had.
I am so happy Thai Thai is finally open, I cried when I got my food it was so amazing… I don’t even know how to do it justice. The flavors where all there in ways other Thai places leave me wanting. Lime, lemongrass, spice, pickled chiles, galangal, heat, sweet and sour flavors to Incredible to describe. Staff was friendly and very knowledgeable about veganism. Will make dishes vegan on request which is awesome because sometimes it’s a struggle. My fiancé who before this said all Thai food is soup (kinda jokingly) was super happy with the offering and all the images they had to go along with the food descriptions. I got tofu spring rolls, Tom yum hot pot, and garlic and pepper tofu. My fiancé got real duck & green beans, which he loved but I didn’t bother to remember the name because I was in tofu heaven. They do have mock meat options I’m just a tofu gal.
A+ flavors! Excellent service, nice decor. Large portions, reasonably priced. Green curry was packed with various vegetables. Panang curry also packed with veggies, the sauce was a little thinner than we are used to, but yummy. Spicy basil didn't have that much basil, but again was fresh vegilicious. Cashew nut salty and sweet, fantastic. The brown rice here is really more like red/purple heirloom rice, it's unusual and nutty if you want something different.
Tried this place for the first time over the weekend. The order was timely and the staff was wonderful. The curry tasted wonderful and the calamari was seriously impressive. It wasn't dry and was very succulent. The tofu was wonderful as well. We also tried the chicken satay. Only suggestion I would has is that the veggies in my yellow curry were raw. Potatoes and onions weren't all the way cooked through.
A friend of mine asked me the other day if I had a go to Thai place. I told him I didn’t because our Thai place closed last year. We went to Thai Thai yesterday as a family and loved the food, the presentation, the service, the drinks. This is a 10/10 Thai spot. It’s my new go-to.
Went there last night for the 4th time and I continue to be impressed. My friend and I shared a sampler appetizer and I had an entree of Mussaman curry with chicken. It was so flavorful and as I can't handle heavy spice, the kitchen has always been able to appease my pallet. The portions are generous (brought a large portion home), the service was great, and Dorie, who was one of our two servers, was very knowledgeable and fun to talk with. I went there once with my vegan son and he said his mock duck was excellently prepared and he wants to go back again when he's on spring break. I live in RB and will happily make the short trek to San Marcos for this small but vibrant gem!
I love this little place! They have the best Thai food in San Marcos, and their service is great.
The Larb is delicious. The Thai Tea servings are 32 oz! If you get the pork Larb, I suggest getting a side of rice because of the fattyness. Chicken Larb is fine by itself, they'll have either cabbage or lettuce to eat it with. I like mines with sticky rice. The food is fast, the staff is friendly and the atmosphere is cozy. I enjoy my meal there. The music is very soothing, even though I don't know Thai.
Amazing food, seasoned good, very clean, best Thai food, amazing appetizers be sure to try the egg roles with the sauce
I love this place so much! Whenever I come into town I order chicken curry. Also, I bring friends to try their food. Always a huge hit! Tonight will be the first time eating in, bc we usually order to go . Can’t wait.
Food was absolutely delicious. Everything we got was flavored wonderfully. The person taking our order said anything over a spicy 3 was extremely spicy, after tasting what we all ordered, the spice level is dish specific. I like spicy and a 3 was nothing. Next time I will probably get a 5. We went for a friend's birthday and the staff was very sweet and accommodating. Cute, intimate seating made for the perfect dinner.
Fresh ingredients. Good portion size. Clean place. Good service. Eggplant with seafood was delicious. Pumpkin curry was perfect too.
This place was delicious! The food was packed with flavor, and I got the spicy Pad Thai (because I love spicy food), and it did not disappoint. But the best was saved for last: the mango sticky rice—OMG, it was explosive in my mouth! I also loved how intentional they are with their food presentation; it was super cute and felt like they really care about their customers. A must-go if you’re in the area!
Stopped by after my training course for dinner. Dine in wasn't too busy so we were seated pretty much immediately. We ordered the angel wings, papaya salad, beef noodle soup, pineapple fried rice & mango sticky rice. Angel wings was a bit on the salty side. It's marinated in tamarind sauce but tasted like it was overwhelmed with fish sauce. We tried to balance out the flavor with the papaya salad but it was a bit too salty for us. They were nice enough to not charge us for it. Papaya salad was fresh & flavorful. Not over or under seasoned. Huge serving. 10/10. The beef noodle soup is pretty much like the traditional thai boat noodle soup minus the pork/beef blood. Perfectly flavored. 10/10. The pineapple fried rice is a definite must have. It was cooked & flavored to perfection. 10/10 We were too full by the time the mango sticky rice came out, so we took it to-go. Service was 10/10. Servers were very attentive and friendly. Definitely recommend stopping by if you're craving Thai food when you're in San Marcos.
Absolute best Thai in the area. Authentic, fresh, great atmosphere, friendly staff. Loved finding this place! The pad thai was VERY authentic to the restaurant’s area of Thailand! The panang curry had delicious flavor, presently beautifully and a very generous portion. Gluten Free friendly!! Definitely get the thai iced tea— every place is different, but this was perfection!!! Atmosphere is tough too but this was quite pleasant. We also noticed a huge number of take out orders being picked up so it definitely seems to be a local favorite! Highly, highly recommend!
Very Friendly Atmosphere. The level of spice I asked for is just right amount. I love the taste of my Pad Thai and the noodles is cooked perfectly, its not soggy nor too firm. I love the thai tea with boba as well, it is on the bigger portion but it tastes great! It’s not too sweet not too bland and the boba is very soft not harden or sits there for too long, you can tell it was made fresh. I highly recommend this restaurant!
The staff was quick and super friendly . They sang my happy b day to my friend which embarrassed her but made my day . Very reasonably priced. We tried lots of diff dishes and enjoyed them all .
Great Thai restaurant serving authentic Thai food. I got the chicken green curry and it was perfect. The consistency of the curry coats the rice well and they really don't shy out on coconut milk. I also got the sticky rice with mango on the side and although it was pretty average I do like how much mango they put in there. I definitely am interested in coming back and trying out more of their offerings.
We eat Thai cuisine quite a bit and this place ranks among the best! The menu offers a large variety of traditional Thai dishes - our favorite is Kao Soi but there are so many other wonderful options. Service is excellent and the food is memorable. Will return again and again.
Great food and such an awesome restaurant. The staff was very helpful with making selections and just made the experience that much more fun and enjoyable.
Fairly small place, but one of the best Thai food I've ever had, with friendly staff. Highly recommended.

Tom kha with chicken Pad sew noodies always come in clutch! 🤤
Service, atmosphere, and food were absolutely amazing. The pad see ewe, pineapple curry, and combination fried rice were some of the best I've had. Our server was the head chef Nong. She was delightful and a wonderful server and chef!
I am a Thai connoisseur. Specifically curries. Even more specifically green curry. Thai Thai makes an excellent green curry. It's one of the better ones I've had in the San Diego area. It has eggplant in it, which in my opinion, is a prerequisite for making a top notch green curry. Yum! We also love their fresh spring rolls. They serve them with peanut sauce and one other sauce that is not plum sauce (what is usually served with this appetizer), but is far more delicious in our opinion. This is one of our go-to Thai places in North County.
I just got home from the most incredible birthday dinner here. Everything is incredible. The amazing food, the beautiful atmosphere, the wonderful and helpful staff. I live far but I will be coming back! We ate the chicken fried rice, pad thai and tiger dish (forgetting the name sorry) it was all amazing!

I used the Google Reservation service to reserve our table because after reading the reviews for their lunch, I assumed they would have a full house and I was right. The person who greeted my friend and I escorted us to our table and was very friendly. Our waitress was very helpful with information regarding the menu items ,which we appreciated since it was our first time at this venue. Most importantly the food was simply amazing ! We shared (and thank goodness we did since it was such a large serving for each dish) the sampler for the appetizer, the coconut soup, and the pineapple fried rice. You have an option of spice level on all dishes which we choose level 1since neither of us like spicy food. Definitely going back! It's a great place to catch up with friends because it's relatively small but nicely decorated and they don't rush you. I hope this helps.
Nice clean new Thai restaurant nearby CSU San Marcos. Very good lunch specials. Soups are very tasty. It can get busy so if you like to relax and dine in, avoid the peak hours. There are outdoor dinning area and parking is not a problem. 4.2/5 ⭐️
We had a nice lunch here last week. The server was nice and her service was good. Our food was good but just not outstanding. I am still on my quest to find the best Thai food in North county.
Better prices than most Thai restaurants. Food was good. Chicken was tender and not dried out Service friendly. Clean restaurant. The decor/lighting and set up was a bit funky but that's just my opinion.

I ordered take out. I'm disappointed, I ordered pad Thai and it literally has no flavor. I also ordered green curry, it's ok, the spring rolls are ok also. It's such a bummer, there seems to be no good thai food in San Marcos. I did door dash so it was $100 for mediocre food. I hate to leave a less than stelar review but it's just not worth the money.
First time trying Thai Thai. We had the Kee Moa which was delicious . Fresh shrimp spring rolls which we loved only complaint about it was the price $15 which was more than our entree noodle dishes. Everything was great till we got to the pad Thai. Extremely weak on flavor. One of the more disappointing pad Thai we have had in the area which was super disappointing since everything else tasted amazing. We might give it try again in a a bit.

Our online order didn’t make it to their kitchen or system but we were charged for it and received an email confirmation. Although we had to wait longer than expected, they did make it right away. However, one of three entree had chicken when we ordered it with tofu. Food has good flavors though.

I got take out and one of the item is honey roast duck which cost $30! It was only 7 think slices and is drown in syrup. I won’t even pay $5 for a dish like that! The other dishes were fine and that’s why I gave 2 stars. Don’t order the expensive dishes!!!!
I'm really disappointed. I never leave bad reviews but we ordered green curry and yellow curry and both were so salty I couldn't eat either. Calamari was greasy and cold, we only live 5 minutes from the restaurant and picked up on time. I was really looking forward to it, based on the reviews. ☹️
What's up with this place?? Did they change owners? This was our go to Thai place and will no longer be. Our last visit was a BIG disappointment. We specifically said no spice on the noodle dish and it still came out spicy due to the large amount of pepper that was very visible on the noondles. The pepper completely crapped out the dish. The waiter (dude with pony tail) wasn't responsive and had a very snobby attitude. I hope things will improve as I really liked this place before. After reading some of the previous reviews, they did change management and it shows.
I wish I could put zero stars. I Ordered food from Thai Thai San Marcos where I have eaten from multiple times. After taking a few bites of my papaya salad(som tum) I saw a cockroach. We called Thai Thai San Marcos to complain They pretended like they didn’t know what a cockroach was so we drove the food back to show them the cockroach and they refused to give us a refund on our food. We then contacted DoorDash for a refund and they only gave us half a refund for our food. I have never in my life gotten an actual Cockroach in my food. This is so foul and so disgusting 🤮 I will NEVER be eating here EVER again. Obviously, health code standards are not up to par here or they wouldn’t have served a dish with a giant insect inside. If you do choose to eat here, keep a lookout for cockroaches. 🪳
My family and I have always enjoyed this restaurant. They have a family feel and although their staff changes often they have always been friendly. Sadly, after last night we will not be returning. My wife ordered me a dish to take home (pla la prik, fish dish) which is what I have pictured. It looked completely different than usual and has a weird "gravy" consistency. After eating a little, I didn't feel great so put it aside. 30 minutes later I have unbelievable stomach pain and begin vomiting. I called the next day after I was feeling better and got no sympathy. The staff are great but ownership needs to understand that when they make a mistake they should fix it. Not offering some soup. We left a 25% tip because we always enjoy the service here. We have eaten here 8 times in the past 18 months and we had planned to keep coming. We have brought friends and recommended it to many others Too bad the ownership is so bad because we will not be returning or recommending anymore. Truly disappointed. And sorry for the staff, because they are wonderful. We'll be finding a new Thai restaurant to frequent.
