I stopped by for a Too Good To Go pickup and had a great experience. Parking was easy, and the shop wasn't too crowded. The staff greeted me immediately, and once I mentioned my order, they quickly assembled a variety of breads and pastries in a sturdy, nice box. The Details: • The Shop: Small and cozy with limited seating both inside and out. • The Food: Every item was enjoyable, but the Guava Cheese was the absolute standout…definitely my favorite! Fast service and a great selection. I’ll definitely be back!
I’m obsessed with this place and can’t wait to come back! We stopped by for breakfast and pastries and everything was amazing. We got a croissant egg and cheese sandwich, decaf iced late, strawberry and cheese strudel, and guava and cheese pastelito. All delicious!!! Quick and friendly service. We can’t wait to come back and try a smoothie, guava and cheese toast, and more pastries.
Dulzura Cafe is a fantastic spot in San Mateo! As a vegetarian, I appreciate their options, and I just had their veggie sandwich—wow, it was super good! Fresh ingredients, great flavors, and perfectly made. The atmosphere is cozy, and the staff is friendly, making the whole experience even better. Definitely a place worth visiting!
Great parking. Excellent Cubano sandwich. Workable bathroom. Fast and friendly service.
Ultra friendly owner, incredible selection of sweet and savory items. Went with a SPAM breakfast sandwich because whaaaaaaa?? Delicious, and had to try both and eclair and a turnover, both homemade and spectacular.
This bakery/deli is amazing! I got there late in the day to pick up a fruit tart cake (not sure of the official name) for my husbands birthday. They didn’t have any available but told me to come back in 2 hours (after they close) and they would have it ready. A real mom and pop shop with really nice staff. The fruit tart was so delicious. All of our friends asked for the bakery contact info.
A very beautiful nice little caffee. You should try it when you are around! I would recommend the Super C juice! Very fresh! The cupcakes are a good option too!

Came here after my favorite coffee shop was too busy. I was pleasantly surprised by the clean and updated environment, delicious caramel latte, and huge unique pastry collection. The customer service was awesome come support this place!
This place really deserves more reviews. Cute, clean, spacious local coffee spot. A wonderful selection of salty and sweet pastries from empanadas to full cakes. I tried their mushroom egg and cheese croissant topped with everything bagel seasoning. I also got a decent cup of coffee and the pastry was really good and fresh. The cafe is located in a small plaza in a residential neighborhood. They have 3 medium to large tables inside and a few tables outside. Super peaceful.
Got 6 different pastries as a gift. The recipient said they were delicious. Very affordable. Cute, simple shop with a few regulars in at 7:30 AM.
This is a nice place for coffee, pastries, lunch - lots of stuff. The guava pastry was Yum! For lunch I had a Cubano, Tampa style. That hefty sandwich took care of eating for the day. The environment is wonderful. The owner is really friendly. It appears this place is a classic neighborhood deli, and the owner has made sure to be part of the neighborhood. So no worries, stop in, get a bunch of stuff to eat, and leave happy.
Fresh and very tasty pastries, prices are not high, the only thing I don't like is when they ask to leave a tip and it is at least one dollar. I don't really want to pay one dollar for one cup of coffee every day, at least they would take half a dollar. Overall, everything is fine
I always enjoy popping into this bakery for their empanadas or other baked goods. Yesterday, they had a ham, egg, and spinach pastry which was delicious. Their smoothies and juices are also great, and interacting with the staff always puts a smile on my face.
Best (& only) empanada that I've ever liked was the chicken empanada that I got this morning. Inside had chicken, vegetables, and sauce. Inside filling and outer dough had no filler or extra dough. Up until today, I thought all empanadas were a miss, but now I get it. Guava cheese pastry was good too.
A nice cafe with variety of baked goods. I got the chocolate croissants. Once rebaked, the chocolate is melted and pouring out like chocolate sauce. A bit messy but it is so satisfying when I have it with coffee :)
We stopped in for coffee and pastry for a quick breakfast and we got very nice pastries, the best one was savory with mushroom and cheese in a flaky croissant pastry. Nice cappuccinos also.

The staff at Dulzura Café were friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable. They were more than happy to provide recommendations and make sure that every aspect of my experience was enjoyable. It's clear that the team takes great pride in ensuring that their customers have a wonderful time.
The empanadas were large and fluffy and the flavor was ok. The pastries are acceptable, and the location is nice to sit and drink coffee..
Iced coffee was good with a little vanilla and whole milk. The guava pastry was delicious and worth the visit! The spinach empanadas was good but nothing to write home about. There are a few tables inside and outside.
Cortado was meh, beef empanada was good but not the freshest (would probably bring it home and crisp it up myself). Breakfast braid was also good but very oily. Would get breakfast burritos at McD instead. One of the employees kept insisting we buy their fruit tart but we told them no thanks
The guava cheese is comparable to Porto’s. Delicious. The Cuban coffee or Cortadito was not what I was expecting. It was just a latte with no sugar.
