Really enjoyed lunch on the outdoor deck. The clam chowder bread bowl was amazing - they accommodated serving the soup and bread bowl separate which was perfect as the bread stayed nicely warm and crunchy. Our waitress was so nice and the view over the beach was great. We visited in December so not too crowded, either. My only caution is cleanliness as there are a lot of birds around, and it may be best to pick a table with some umbrella coverage.
We came on Christmas Day 🎄🎁 for dinner and we wanted to order food and bring it back to our hotel . Ryan in the front was kind and helpful he got our number and called us in less than an hour . We ordered with Miguel and it was fast and easy. We ordered some fish , shrimp and fries 🍟 and calamari. And a burger with bacon and cheesecake ! Everything was delicious 🤤 The food was hot and perfect ! We will come back !
The view alone is worth a visit. There are many options but it's probably best to go with the fish. I had the fish tacos. The breading was thin but crunchy and the flavor of the fish wasn't overcome by the breading. There is indoor and outdoor dining. The first floor is under renovation so your experience may differ.
Any restaurant that has open seating on a pier is hit or miss. Basically servers can be sat more tables than they can handle to accommodate the customers. They were overwhelmed but Zander was fantastic!
The waterfront restaurant in Santa Barbara offers an exceptional dining experience with its delicious food and stunning ambiance. The menu features fresh, flavorful dishes, and the ocean views create a serene and picturesque setting. The service is attentive and friendly, enhancing the overall experience. Highly recommended for both locals and visitors!
The reviews for this place are a little concerning and I only saw them after my visit. I can only speak from my experience which was a great one. The food, service, and atmosphere were all brilliant. Also great views looking over the sea and the beach. The lobster roll and oysters were delicious.
We love playing tourists in our home town. Longboards never disappoints! We found a cozy table in the corner of the outdoor patio. Stunning views and yummy food. We could have stayed for hours and enjoyed the boats going in and out of the harbor, the birds playing in the wind and kayakers, stand up paddle board riders and more enjoying the beautiful Santa Barbara harbor.
Great restaurant with an amazing view. The restaurant is upstairs and gives a great view of the beach and pier. The food was great. We ordered the famous garlic bread for starters and for the meal we ordered the colossal fried shrimp and the beach cheeseburger. The food was excellent and served quickly. Our server was very nice and friendly. We will definitely go here again when we're in Santa Barbara.
We flew down from Canada and heard the fish tacos in California were the best in the world so we HAD to get the seafood tacos. I got the fish tacos, my sister got the lobster tacos, and we also got the clam chowder and the oyster shots. I wasn’t too big of a fan of the oyster shot because I’m just not much of a franks red sauce fan in general. But the tacos and the clam chowder were AMAZING!! It’s very pricy however you aren’t just paying for the food, but also the views! You get a perfect view of the ocean and all of Santa Barbara from the deck. So wonderful, if I ever come back here I’d definitely choose to eat from this place again!
Omg so delicious, we ate at a couple other spots here & this was by far the best place to dine. Absolutely beautiful view, food was really tasty and cooked perfectly. Drinks were out of this world. We will Absolutely be coming back here just for Longboard's Grill experience.

My server Zander was absolutely amazing. He was so refreshing to have as a server, and totally reminded me of myself when I was taking on dining rooms by storm. His attitude is great and it makes you want to sit and watch him work. A good example to other young men and even to experienced servers.
Did you guys change ownership or something? As a local I crave Longboards’ chicken tenders with the panko breading. I guess it’s been a while since I came cause today it was like cafeteria style chicken strips. Really disappointing. Please do let me know if you return to the old menu! Not worth the price. However, 5 stars to our server! He was the bartender and the only one in the restaurant besides the kitchen staff. He was great and I made sure to leave a nearly 40% tip cause he deserved it. Really just wish business owners would stop cutting corners and delivering mediocre food. I live in sb, I’ll gladly pay tourist pricing for decent food. That just left me sad.
Let’s be honest, you’re going to be eating here for the location. And it is really wonderful. When we went, they were only seating people on the upper level, and no matter where you found yourself there were wonderful views of the ocean and the harbor. It was really pretty. Food was fine, nothing exceptional. I had a salmon salad and I wish I had asked for the dressing on the side the bottom half was in edible because it was like balsamic dressing soup, with a little greens mixed in. The kids like their fish and chips, and I thought the chowder was really nice.
Longboard's Grill is located on the 2nd floor and the location has an elevator if needed. I mistakenly placed my first review for The Harbor. It looks like both restaurants are located in the same spot. I liked the "Sweet Potato Fries" and "Garlic Bread", but didn't like the "Fish & Chips"--too much batter and little seasoning. Fortunately, there are salt and pepper shaker on the tables. Service was really friendly. We had to sometimes call on them since we had a few requests, but once we did, they got back to us right away. Thanks to Flo and the night shift on 09/23/23!
Beautiful location in the Santa Barbara harbor. Great views from the second deck, pretty well shielded from the wind, even have heaters if that's what you want. Just don't expect great food. We ordered the harbor salad and fish and chips, fish and chips were pretty good but very greasy, harbor salad was small for $23. The french fries were not good so we just ate a couple and left the rest. No seasoning, basically a bag out of the freezer into the fryer. And there's always a $19 margarita if that's up your alley. Service was a bit sketchy, we had to ask another server to bring our server to the table to close out our bill. But the beer was cold and the views were great and it wasn't very crowded on a Wednesday afternoon so we'll probably be back.
It was a decent experience. Lots of sea engles and pigeons. One pigeon landed on our table. I scared it away. Also, I bearly got any of their secret sauce on my harbor burger that was $21. Plus tax. I got allot of pickles and one slice of tomato and one big leaf of lettuce with seasoned soft crip fries and one Dil Pickle cut vertically sliced. I asked for their BBQ to add on my Harbor Burger and it was a better experience for me with their strawberry lemonade. Our waitress Brianna was gorgeous ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)ᵇᵗʷ. Have her an extra tip for great services with a positive attitude and a beautiful smile.

Service and atmosphere were perfect - great views and service was attentive without being intrusive. The food was average. I had the coconut shrimp which was ok. My husband and mom and one of the lobster rolls which they thought was good. I would return but only because of the location and service.

Stopped by for lunch. Views are excellent! Food was also pretty good but overall experience was let down by inattentive and slow service, particularly as it was not too busy. We sat inside and I think the outer terrace seating area appeared to get more attention. The inner seating area could do with a renovation. Regarding the beers. they did have some local brews, I tried some Santa Barbara blonde ale and the Topa Topa IPA, the latter was pretty good. Would I stop by again? probably no given the service and that there are a lot of options in the area to eat etc.
What a change now ...read my update .⬇️We hadn't been here for a long time. Our son reminded us about it and said he enjoyed it. So, we went for a nice stroll on Stearns Wharf. Longboards is located on top of the Harbor restaurant. It hadn't changed at all. Still the same awesome patio with a view that's almost 360. Large patio with umbrella tables and surrounded by glass to keep the wind down. We chose to sit inside where there is a long bar in the center and it is surrounded by tables and a gorgeous view. We grabbed a handful of peanuts out of the Barrell and went to a table by the windows. The shells go on the floor, yes that's correct. It was so clear the view of the harbor and the Islands was picturesque. I chose a bloody Mary. Which was large and came with a shrimp. My wife had a beer flight with four samples. The server was sweet and recomended the fish tacos. I had those and my wife had the fish and chips. Both were very good. My tacos came with a side of rice and beans which were surprisingly tasty. We had a very nice time watching the comings and going of the harbor boats. It was really a beautiful spot with good food. As locals we will put Longboards back on our list of "go to" spots. 2023....sold and now only worthy of the view. Prices jacked hard, waitress was a downer...food was mediocre ...lost a local
Went here for a quick bite and drink during sundown. The location is gorgeous, the drinks and food are fine but nothing special. You pay for the location rather than the food/drinks. Service is friendly. Expect for sweet potato fries, onion rings and chips, they do not offer any plant-based meal options.

A chicken wrap, a burger, a kids burger, 2 milks, and a beer should not be $90. I was expecting much more and a higher quality meal. Prices are what they are due to location. I get it. Just a little bummed. I could have had the same quality food at home.

Food was terrible! Oysters were suspect at best (we didn’t even finish them). Calamari was cooked in old oil and were so rubbery! Mussels were bland and over cooked. We should have known better with this being a tourist trap but they’ve been promoting a lot and trying to get business, so we decided to give it a go. Food was so bad we’re headed to another restaurant to have dinner since this was inedible. View is nice and service was good.
