Avis sur Danawa Santa Clara
This restaurant has been on my radar for a while as I work nearby, and I finally decided to try it! The interior looks awesome, and the bar vibe is really inviting, but I grabbed food to-go this time. I ordered half Korean traditional and half jalapeño soy spicy fried chicken (can’t recall the exact menu name) for me and my friend, plus rice cake and sausage skewers. The skewers had a nice kick of heat, but it didn’t overpower the flavors. The fried chicken was crispy, fresh, and definitely not frozen. I personally like more heat, but the spicy chicken was still really flavorful. The Bartender was pleasant and helpful, which made the experience even better. Can’t wait to go back and try dining in!
A Very cool korean late night music bar in Santa Clara. I visited after a long shopping day with friend. I was delightful to have hot nice food at 9:30 pm. We were quick seated after arriving. Military soup: it is a pretty good one, the largest portion soup in the restaurant. I had it a lot back to college. It tastes still as good as it was ! Spicy Kimchi soup base mixed with sausages, spams, veggies, and pork. Kimchi pork fried rice: I love it with pork and one egg in the top! It is definitely delicious! The kimchi mixed pretty well with the rices! I gave 5 stars because I like it a lot ! I gave credits for opening late !
Kimchi fried rice is a must have! Restaurant is open late, good vibes, good music. If you don't like loud music, you wont like it. But I enjoyed. Felt like I was in a different place, like Korea! We also ordered chicken gizzards, Yakily soju steamed egg (so fluffy) and a large soup with sausage, spam, rice cake, noodles (enough for 2-3 people).
Good place to have food/snack and drink with friends. We ordered kimchi fried rice, fried chicken and army soups, all were delicious. Must visit again next time.
떡볶이 맛집 - 엽떡😋 Best place for tteokbokki. If you order Yeop Tteok (spicier than regular tteokbokki) it comes with fries combo you can dip in tteokbokki sauce.
Came here with a group of 10 to drink soju cocktails and that's exactly what happened. It was a fun vibe to just drink and hang out with friends. Food was decent and hit the spot when you're getting drunk LOL. Our bill came out to hella but it's as expected because we were just there to have fun. Drinks: 7/10 Service: 6/10 Vibes: 6/10 Value: ???
Super nice and friendly staff! Food is fantastic and you they're open late. Easy to find parking, clean, and great service.
Ordered from DoorDash. Food was cooked high quality and perfectly. We got the Grilled Beef & Kimchi Fried Rice.

Would have been 5/5 but the price was just a bit much. 100usd for 2 soju, 1 big bowl of yipduk, 1 chicken wing plate, 2 rice bowls. I think a fairer price would he closer to 80-85. But other than that the atmosphere was chill. Only 2 servers for a busy night but they were efficient. And the food was danggggg good! Great place go out with the boys.
Hidden place in a strip mall, good place to hang out with friends. It’s a clean place with nice decor and the service is decent. The food is also good for what it is. I had the soft tofu stew with seafood and really liked it — a lot of squid (so if you’re not into that it might not be for you). I also really enjoyed the spicy squid stir fry. My friends ordered several soju flavors, corn cheese, fries, clam soup, pork fried rice, and buddae-jjigae. They really liked everything they ordered except for the guava flavored soju. ****One thing to note is that if you have a party 6 or greater, then make sure you don’t double tip. There is an automatic gratuity 18% charge AND TIP that may not be immediately obvious on the receipt.**** Overall I would return again for the atmosphere and the space. Just be wary of the charges.
Honestly underrated for what it is, the food is delicious. My friends and I like ordering the kimchi fried rice, corn cheese, chicken gizzards and other sides. It’s a good place for a relaxing weeknight, it’s usually not super packed and the food comes out quickly.
We ordered the army stew and fish cakes, two dishes made with cheap ingredients that I usually elect to cook at home because it just doesn't seem worth it to order at a restaurant, especially when sometimes they don't end up tasting that much better, if at all. However, I wouldn't mind paying for it here because they put it together well and it is convenient not to cook. The fried stuff we tried, gimmari and the seafood pancake were bland and had way too much batter. There was only one poor guy working the front but he really tried. The atomsphere is loud, dark, and we couldn't find him half the time. There are also black curtains around some tables and cardboard cutouts for kpop idols endorsing soju.
For a late night spot with friends, this place has a fun vibe. Dim lighting, K-pop MV's on repeat, and nice decor. A decent place for some late-night eats, but everythimg is on the more expensive side. We got the Supreme Chicken Wings, which were really good! So crispy, juicy, and they came out piping hot. The sauce was very flavorful and the mayo balanced out the sweet-and-sour glaze. I definitely recommend! The Truffle Fries were tasty and coated well in oil. But for $12... probably not the best bang for your buck. Decent portion though!
Dank kimchi fried rice but honestly thats mostly it. Their menu is a little misleading unless you know how to read korean. The black bean noodles is literally just chapagetti ramen with eggs and onions. Tofu soup is pretty good but no side dishes. Lots of parking cuz the plaza is big.
Kitchen last call is 11pm though the gg maps say it’s open till 00:30. This place is at a corner in a big plaza so it’s little bit scary to come at midnight when it’s all empty outside. It was pretty dark inside. Food was pretty great though. We ordered fried rice noodles, corn cheese, and pork belly fried rice. All taste good :) would try more dishes if coming with a larger group next time.
The interior was good. Food was okay and bit overpriced. They have ring bell option to call server.
i like the spicy chicken feet, the army soup is just ok

Stopped by Danawa for the first time. Three of us ordered quite a bit of food: tofu kimchi pork mix $25 chicken feet and rice $25 spicy army soup $45 2 soju $12 ea 2 cass pitchers $23/ea, not sure if we were mischarged since they were just larger bottles. So a bit on the steep end. corn cheese $12 extra ramen $3 Pretty empty when we went for a later dinner, but folks came in as it got later in the night. Staff was a bit awkward giving gloves. Easy parking in the plaza.
I haven't been here for a while. I used to love their regular wings. And I love spice, so I figured I would give the Korean wings a try. Even though there were a lot of seeds in the coating, there wasn't any actual spice to the sauce. The sauce was so light that I felt it was watered down. I didn't even finish it. I also had the eggs appetizer. It was ok. I wouldn't try again. It could also use more flavor. I would try them again, but not those dishes

Arrive with a water bottle. The waiter rudely tell us no outside drink is allowed in the restaurant. We explained it’s just water and we did not intend to drink it in the restaurant. The waiter has no patience at all and said that’s the policy. Just want to say we respect the policy. It’s the rude attitude and the way he brings this out makes me super uncomfortable. The restaurant is super empty. If you do not want business, fine! Good luck.
