Went here after work for Tuesday Happy Hour & had a great time! The street tacos were soo good ($3 each), I got pastor, chicken & asada & all of them were really good & the spicy salsa on the side omg best!! Also got guava margarita the first round, 2x1 the second & nachos. Service was also amazing, very attentive & super nice, will definitely be back again soon!
Came for the first time and had great service from server Jose Ay Yi Yi. He was attentive and quick. Also, they have happy hour on Saturdays which isn’t common. The lemon drops and margarita flights are very good. Would definitely come again!
A great place for food and 🍸 drinks... and this spot would be even better if it was a sports bar playing the local games. I mean, don't get me wrong, Spanish music is okay... but most people get excited and stay longer when they see sports. Which will equate to more money for them because people would stay longer, eat more, and drink more :)
We were the “older” people in this restaurant (full on Gen X) and it has a very young vibe. But we thankfully didn’t feel weird here. The food was excellent (strongly recommend the Birria tacos and spicy seafood tostada), the service was FAST and impeccable (thank you, Andrea!) and they try really hard to make the experience delightful. It was wonderful to see all the young people taking pictures in front of the step and repeat. Everyone appeared to be having fun. So glad to see such a hopping and energetic restaurant in Santa Monica.
My first time at this establishment and it was unique with all the wall paint but had plenty of inside and outside seating. A big menu with plenty of food options and drinks! I see it as mostly a bar pub type place but wouldn't hesitate to return. The waitress was super nice and attentive. The food was also great! I got BBQ wings and a lemon cranberry drink. It was a little pricey for both but no other complaints! And they played great music inside as well!
Overview: I went here while on vacation and would definitely come back next time I'm around! Awesome staff and amazing food. Food: - A Japanese fusion with Mexican is such an interesting combo and they did really well with it. From the apps, to the entrees they can do both cuisines exceptionally well. - the sushi was amazing, no complaints other than I couldn't finish it I was so full!!! - apps came out fresh and we appropriately demolished them. Service: - our waiter was very attentive to our group, was speedy, and friendly. He even offered to take some photos of us for our travels (even though we didn't even ask!). I want this waiter again! - our waiter even kept us in the happy hour loop and provided another round just before the cutoff time! Other: - music and layout is a little loud/wonky and tight. - due to location and the openness you may see some questionable individuals walk by or maybe annoy the staff. This happened to us, but didn't deter from the restaurant itself. - for California prices, it's middle of the road, but definitely worth it!
This place is a hit! Everything was delicious. Ordered the fish tacos, al pastor tacos, loaded fries, and pork belly bites. Washed everything down with a delicious margarita flight. This was a small mix for a group of 3, and we all were stuffed! I'm not sure why anyone would leave a bad review because everything was perfect! Service was a little delayed, but nothing to complain about as we were all enjoying everything we ordered one by one!
The atmosphere here was amazingly beautiful. I visited with my wife and sister in law and we had an amazing time here. The music was just right for the establishment the drinks are priced reasonably and the food is amazing. We ordered the tomahawk steak and the showcase that followed was cool. I highly recommend this place. The steak was cooked to perfect medium rare and the fried cactus Mmmmm so flavorful. The beans and rice took me back to my childhood and the home cooked tortillas were amazing. This is a must visit in Santa Monica
Ate dinner here with our family and the temperature was in the 50’s. We sat near the sidewalk but their heaters were more than enough to make us comfortable. Stephanie (our server) was exemplary. Kudos to her! Now for the food. The bone marrow tacos was out of this world! Highly recommended!!! My wife also had their margarita flight which she enjoyed because you get to try 5 different margaritas. The pork belly bites was also very good. Will definitely come back here again to try the other items in their menu.
We visited this restaurant for the first time after hearing amazing reviews. I have never been to any place where the service, food, and drinks were all amazing. Everything we ordered was so delicious, the drinks were perfect and our server ,Omar, was so great, gave great suggestions and answered all the questions I asked about the restaurant, also let me know I had the sister restaurant near me and one opening in West Hollywood, I can’t wait to visit. I will definitely be recommending and will return to San Diego for King and Queen Cantina. I posting my favorite food and drinks.
The Mexican food here is excellent. We arrived around 8pm. The atmosphere was released and casual but kinda like a noisy pub with TVs showing spring events. It's a good atmosphere for a party or watching a game. We had some draft beers which did not taste at all watered down and also ordered the chicken nachos. I've been eating nachos for over 30 years and theirs is probably the best I have ever had. I highly recommend trying it. It is not a huge plate but just the trigger size for two people. We then proceeded to have the fish battered tacos in a soft tortilla. That was very nice but not out of this world but still good. The service was very helpful in making recommendations and suggestions. Their menu is large do it can be hard to read through and know what you want. Prices are fair for the quality of the food. It's a nice place and if looking for a pub with good atmosphere and good food to watch the game, then you can't go wrong here.
Its a cool spot with bunch of TVs to catch a game Food is pretty decent also, the burrito was very good, the loaded fries was okay, they cheese made the fries soggy. Place was pretty empty when I was there, but did take them a minute to bring the food out. We were so hungry didnt get a chance to take a picture of the burrito.
I came here for the first time. I like that the restaurant is close to the water. Fun environment. What I really disliked about it were the matracas. They are so loud and it hurts your ears because they use them inside so the sound bounces off the walls. We ordered the seafood tower. I thought it was okay. It had this smoky flavor which I was not a fan of. The shrimp didn't seem fresh. It tasted like that bagged frozen shrimp they thawed out and added to the plate. The octopus was good though. It was tender. The mimosa flight was a good price for three glasses. But the quality of the champagne wasn't very good. I did enjoy the margarita flight. They tasted really good and it was a variety of strawberry, mango, lime, tamarindo, and jalapeño margarita. The bartenders were really nice. Overall it was fun. I would go back.
3:30pm- Shrimp was over cooked. But good. Rice not portioned properly. Rice came in a small circular bowl. Approx 8 spoonfuls. Not flavorful but decent. Cubes of cheese in avocado. Salad was fine. Egg on fries was fried too hard. I could not cut into it easily. Pork belly was fine. Ran out of Pepsi. Great service. Personable.
Came for Happy Hour. Pretty decent deals (this was taco Tuesday), but their street tacos are super small - I know they’re street versions, but they should be $2 on special, not $3; that’s a dollar a bite. The pastor was good (no pineapple unfortunately) but not worth it. Waitress brought me food, but no utensils/napkin - had to flag her down for napkin. And did not offer water. The $5 margarita special was pretty good. Strong enough to taste the tequila, but they’re all premixed; mine showed up warm, bc the ice hadn’t cooled it down yet. I’d only come for HH deals.
Not really what we thought. Food was ok Fajita have 4 pieces of chicken and 3 shrimp. Fire cracker roll was good but 15 minutes late. Enchiladas sauce to mild but if you add seasonings a lot better. Too many other choices to return. We were looking for a forever late night spot.
