Quality fresh food here . Good parking to eat.. shaded . And clean. Never have messed my order up. I'd bet the best Wendy's in S.D. they're new summer strawberry shake is good. A good balance. Of vanilla and strawberry 🍓.. gonna be hard to choose between chocolate 🍫 and the strawberry one next time. Maybe they can layer.. hehehe
This place is my lunch go too, the food is always hot and fresh, I usually come between 11-1230, drive thru always go fast and quick . It's close to my job, so I have enough time to enjoy my meal because of the employees quickness also. They are always polite and nice to me in the drive thru. They offer cookies or upgrades or ice cream. I just want to say I appericate it and you all are doing a great job. Keep it up, see yall soon.

The new Snickerdoodle Sugar Cookie frosty is absolutely delicious!
My wife has recently been saying she was craving something special. I told her, "Just let me know". Earlier today, she texted me and said that she finally discovered the scratch to that itch: She specifically wanted $47 worth of warm food unceremoniously shoved into two paper bags, delivered by uninterested people that hardly acknowledge you, and that she'd be extremely disappointed if more than 85% of the order was correct. What can I say?? My beautiful lady knows what she wants. I immediately said, "Babe, say no more, I know just the place." Santee Wendy's was everything that she'd been hoping for and exceeded our expectations beyond imagine. I just want to say thank you that I was able to deliver exactly what she wanted. My only complaint was that they got 90% of the order correct, which felt out of my wife's desired range, but other than that, our needs were met expertly. Would recommend.

My server was very nice and accommodating, burger was pretty good. 😊 The lobby was just OK, I'm afraid since Covid, and the rise in crime, it's the norm these day's. No napkins, salt and pepper, Ketchup etc. available. Miss the old day's.
The food was fresh and hot. Service was great, so was the atmosphere. I do a lot of work in the area and love stopping by every now and then for my lunch break. Keep up the good service Wendys.
This location can be hit or miss on quality. At this last visit the food was hot and fresh, even the fries. Yes I know the commercial said hot and fresh but they aren’t always. Dining room needed to be cleaned up, but that’s why I only have 4 stars for this visit.
The fries were almost cold, and the burger was very dry. It was like it was cooked early in the morning and soaked in burger juice all day. I will drive 20 miles out of my way to another Wendy's.
They are always really quick and never mess up my order. In today's $4 grilled chicken go wrap meal the fries looks like they had a couple bad peices in the batch and lettuce in my go wrap looked a little wilted. Overall it was good.
The person taking the order through the drive through was a little annoyed we came with our business, so we took our time and made them get the order right at the window. She was not happy she missed an order or that we held the line up, but we offered to pull over to wait. She got it out and made it right, so no harm done. Just seems like younger workers everywhere are having a hard time right now.
service was a little slow because they seem too short-staffed at the register. But the food is pretty good, par for the course for Wendy's. Frosty's are the best, especially if you dip their french fries in them.
Great staff excellent service but way too hot inside. I got the kitchen staff gets a high heat bonus. It's so not 78degrees, the OSHA maximum temperature. I can only imagine how hot the kitchen staff is. Keep up the great work guys. Hook em up Management, they are a good team.

The place is great, the food is average, but the atmosphere is kind of strange due to the fact that everyone is speaking Spanish, kind of making a "no abla Espanol" customer feel a little out of place. Dining room hours are kind of like a bank on a weekend's hours, but the drive through is open kind of late, and the dining room closes kind of early, slowly gearing towards the hours of operation of a fast food restaurant that's in Sacramento or Oakland where the dining room is only open if the restaurant has bullet proof safety glass, & bullet proof partition safety glass between workers & customers (or possible aggressors), or towards having fast food restaurants operating only drive through, or all together shutting down. WiFi is good when it is working, 40% of the time it's down, power outlets along the walls are convenient and a plus, big flat screen LCD TV is also cool, passcode to bathroom is 123356 or 1234 ... Ask Maria if I'm wrong, either gender bathrooms, LGBQT + friendly of course.
I'm given 3 stars because I've had some pretty weird experiences there but one time the cheeseburger and fries were freaking abd fresh! Would be nice if it was always like that! One time I went in to the bathroom and they were pounding on the door threatening to call the police! They thought were accusing me of being someone else that did something to them there, yes but you don't make assumptions lije that & threatening to call police, just because " someone looks like you!" Other time witnessed someone touching themselves before handling food, umm gross! That's why I left. To the owner: Do better keep an eye on your employees you will have repeatedly loyal customers.
Food: 5 stars, Service: 1 star I have sat in the drive through at this location for a long time before, but today I went inside because I was hoping to get vanilla Coke and grab a refill before leaving. It was 5 minutes before anyone acknowledged I was there and 8 before I placed my order. Let's just say that the lady behind the counter did not show hustle. The manager came out from the back for a minute to enable the cash register and barely looked up. The gentleman in front of me was a regular and he indicated he had been waiting 10 minutes. Said he'd been going there 3x a week for 7 years and it was always the same, but at least they remembered his order despite all the turnover. I have to say, once I got my food, it was great. I love the bacon at Wendy's and the fries were cooked to perfection. The restaurant was fairly clean too. Unfortunately the drink machine was out of vanilla for the soda.
This is a place that I come to eat approximately ten times a month or more. For my last three visits our order was wrong. The first time it took three times for the order to be corrected. I. was only half way corrected but I had an appointment and couldn't stay while the my order was corrected again. The next visit the order was wrong. And I was given attitude towards me like I was being unreasonable. The sandwich ordered was wrong. Not hold the pickles but got pickles. Then the following visit was the same issues. And the visit included a problem with using the restroom because I pay with an EBT card. I am disabled and waiting for social security disability insurance benefits. Regardless I did not deserve the attitude. There was one employee, a young man that has not been there for the last few visits. This young man was everything a customer service employee should be - he was courteous, considerate ( especially to the older customers, he always got the orders correct and treated all customers, regardless of how they paid for their meal, the same. He greeted customers and when he had the opportunity he would say goodbye and see you again. He was always working at the register or cleaning the eating area, and he was always polite. I hope he was not let go .

I made two separate orders but said it was to stay. She bagged my food. Then I said, "Can you put these on a tray, it was to stay." She just handed the tray to me but wouldn't put my food on the tray for me. I hope this doesn't happen too often.
We enjoy going to this Wendy's, it's very convenient to home. However, this is not the first time the registers haven't worked properly. We waited over 10 minutes just to place our order. Then another almost 10 to get our food. Once home, we were sorely disappointed that our sauces weren't packed with our meals. Please, update your equipment, it's a basic necessity!
The food here is fine! But this Wendy's has about a 50% failure rate when it comes to getting my order correct. Knowing this, I often pull over after driving through to check the contents of my bag. The few times I've come back around to get the order fixed -- they asked me for a receipt. Normally this is no problem, but surprise! The cashiers here almost never give you a receipt -- or ask if you want one. Normally I don't, but here I feel like I need to bring my lawyer just to guarantee I get the right order.
This location charges $0.50 per sauce even if you order a meal! Thats crazy.

There's no mistaking this it's the only possible way they can give you your food in 3 minutes. Everything is geared to speed and not quality. On top of that the cost of this junk food has doubled. The least I can do is give you the best possible quality junk food by not pre-cooking it. I don't know why they don't realize that In n Out cooks everything to order and that's why the lines at their restaurants are 10 to 20 times longer than the lines at their restaurant. When it comes to food take the time to make a quality meal stop pre-cooking. And please do not reply to me that the meats are not pre-cooked I'm not guessing I know this.

Warning: Food Poisoning!!! I contacted Wendy's about it, but received no follow-up from the operator. My friend and I picked up food for us and his family. I was the only one who ate their chili, and was the only one who got food poisoning. Their customer service isn't terrible, but the last few months has shown that their employees have difficulty providing the correct order. Items are sometimes missing or made incorrectly. I think Wendy's provides tasty fast food, but we will not be returning to this location unless we want to risk being on the toilet for several days. I used to work at a Wendy's. If you cannot maintain your chili at a safe temperature, I can only imagine how well you take care of everything else.
Very disappointed. I have ordered food on the app, but the last few times its not showing up. I show my order from the app with the right location, but the manager and supervisor just being rude saying they wont, not couldn’t, wont help bc its not in their system. I’ve contacted corporate and will be contacting the district manager. Food has been half cooked as well.
I don’t appreciate how the big Hispanic lady handled a situation here. I told her I had a mobile order and gave her my name. My fiancé made the order she was in the car with our newborn so I went in to get it. She took a long time, gave me the wrong order and when I went back to the car my fiancé said I didn’t order this so I went back to fix it. She was very rude and said I gave her the wrong name I said no I said my name u gave me the wrong order. She gave me additude after instead of apologizing and wasting my time! Work on your customer service lady!
My card wasn't being read and the older lady (in her 50s or older) in the drive thru said I probably didn't have money on my account. She took my food back and denied my offer to let her put my card in manually. She was rude and irritable and didn't act accommodating towards me at all. I went down the street to Chic Fil A and there were absolutely no issues, my card was fine. Terrible experience.
We came to this location and were ordering at the drive thru, the lady taking our order was extremely rude and had an attitude the whole time taking our order, and when we got to the window the order was wrong and we tried to let her know and she gave us the nastiest attitude so we decided to go in and talk to the manager who was unhelpful, the lady from the drive through window came over and interrupted us and started yelling and telling her side and lied saying that we yelled at her, all we did was ask for our correct order with our coupon, she was the one who with the attitude yelling at us. The manager then left us to help another customer and then completely ignored us, refused to help us solve the issue and refused to give us their name, I only have video and a picture of the 2 ladies. This locations customer service sucks and I could imagine the food they serve to their customers if this is how they treat them.
Did an online order for pickup over 2 weeks ago. Took them 30 minutes to make our cold, burnt, incorrect, "fast" food order. I filled out a survey, which asked if I wanted to be contacted about my experience and I said yes. Clearly management doesn't care about customer experience since they never got back to me or tried to make it right.
Just ordered apple pecan salad using door dash, I received the salad but no pecan what good is a apple pecan salad with no pecan. To top it off I called Wendy's and the person who answered my call asks like it wasn't a problem you still have the salad oh well we must have forgotten the pecans. Not feeling good about it 😕
Let me tell you a story. Imagine you are planning on going on a hike with some friends. They say "oh it's going to be hard, are you sure you can do this, blah blah blah". You brush off their warnings and tag along hoping for some nice views and a connection with nature to ease some stress. It turns out to be 12 miles of just hell with up down up down up down up down. Now let's say that you survived this test of your will, determination, stamina, and spiritual fortitude, and you want to eat somewhere. For some godforsaken reason your friends choose to go to Wendy's. Whatever, you don't care, after six hours of hiking you'd eat the bark off a tree. You walk in, and immediately the ordering goes amiss. You order a combo meal, and the sign offers a cookie for 99 cents with a combo meal. You're charged the full $1.40 for the cookie, but whatever, the cashier seemed new, you're not gonna make a scene over 40 cents. Then after y'all get your food, y'all walk back to your cars to eat. You eat your burger and fries, which are about as alright as expected, but again at this point you could have eaten the spare tire in the trunk and you wouldn't have complained. Then you go to reach for your cookie. Shock. Horror. Dismay. Acceptance. It's not there. You paid the extra 40 cents and it's not there. You consider walking back in, but at this point your legs were already turned to jello, blended, dehydrated, and turned into jello again. There was no shot you were getting out of that car again to walk back in for your cookie. You sigh in defeat and just accept that cookie was not meant to be, but the vitriol burns so strongly in you that you vow to write a review no one will care about in an overly dramatic fashion once you get home. I do not blame Wendy's for this, but to top this all off, a homeless woman walked by our car, made eye contact with us, said hello, and proceeded to pull down her pants and pee in the bushes in the parking lot.
I visited the Santee location today with my co-worker. I want to start off by saying that Astrid who took our order was extremely nice and helpful and the rest of this review has NOTHING to do about her. After ordering our food, we decided to take it back to work instead of dining in. FIRST MISTAKE! When we got back to the office, I pulled my meal out of the bag in hopes to enjoy a delicious chicken sandwich, only to find a hamburger in the bag. Oops.. the restaurant made a mistake. No biggie, I will call them and let them know before heading back over. That's where my entire experience went SOUTH! I called and spoke with Dora, who claimed to be the restaurant manager. I let her know that I just went to eat my food and instead of a chicken sandwich, there was a hamburger in the bag. Dora argued with me stating she was the one that bagged the food, she remembers our conversation, and 100% knows she put a hamburger in the bag, chicken sandwich on top of that, french fries and chicken nuggets of top of that. I told her that didn't make sense because I did not order a hamburger at all, so why would she put a hamburger in the bag. She said the chicken sandwich is in the bag and you just need to look for it. She then said I must have mixed my bag up with my coworkers. Funny, she also ordered a chicken sandwich, so again, this does not explain the HAMBURGER in the bag. I told her I would bring her the hamburger for her to see. She said, what do you want? A chicken sandwich? I'll make you another one. At this time, I was so frustrated with the experience that my coworker took the phone and asked to speak to a manager. This is when she disclosed she was the manager. We told her she was being extremely disrespectful and should not treat customers like this. She told us we need to check the bag because she is positive she put a chicken sandwich in the bag. She told her we would be back in and she responded with I'll check my cameras and you check your bag because it's in there. Upon returning to the restaurant, we waited in line to be helped. Once we were next in line, the employee asked us if we were there for our chicken sandwich. We said yes and she handed us a bag. We asked to speak to the manager. When the manager came to the counter, she said yes? I asked her for her district managers name and phone number and she said it's on the receipt. I asked her to write it down for me and she said no, she is not allowed to give that information out. We asked to see the camera footage and she laughed and said no. I then showed her the hamburger and said I just would like you to see that this is not a chicken sandwich and is a hamburger. She was still convinced that she gave me the chicken sandwich. She started going through all the bags and pulled out the one that the employee just handed me and said ITS RIGHT HERE! I said that is the one she JUST handed to me. She said we'll it was here. I said do you really think I just went a made a hamburger to get a free chicken sandwich? She said I'll just give you another one and yelled to her staff, and puts some fries in there! I then showed her the receipt she gave me and said, where is the information for the district manager because nothing is on this receipt. She flipped the receipt over twice and then just put it to the side and pulled out another receipt from the printer and handed it to me and said AND MY NAME IS DORA OSUNA. THAT'S O-S-U-N-A and walked away. Worst experience ever. I will never be back to this location.
Half way through eating my breakfast sandwich today 10/9 @ 9:45/10:20 am , and this piece of plastic was in my sandwich! We headed back to the location to show them and something told me to check the other 2 sandwiches we purchased and behold another little piece of the same white plastic ! We took it back to show the Mexican ladies working the morning shift and the one working the drive thru claiming to be a manager she immediately had the audacity to say we don’t have anything like this back here trying to insinuate I put the plastic there my self ! After arguing with her she finally gave me my money back but this has completely thrown me off from fast food I’ll never eat Wendy’s again and I don’t recommend this location at all its disgusting! And they won’t take accountability crazy behavior if you’re supposed to be a manager ! Have a talk with the people cooking back there because this is unacceptable! I’ve never had to write a review as such before but I am just completely disgusted by the fact she insinuated I put that there myself I come to Wendy’s specifically for breakfast only because I love there breakfast so there’s no way in hell I would do all this just to get money back . I know people have done crazier things I’ve worked in the food industry myself so I get it but that was extremely unprofessional! Take accountability and that’s all you don’t argue with customers . Me or Anyone else who had come through the drive thru could’ve choked ! If it wasn’t my sandwich it could’ve been someone else’s please check your food guys ! I know I will start opening my food more often but I’m pretty put off from fast food due to this situation. I ended up going home hungry because I no longer had an appetite please Retrain your staff at this location.

I tried to order from here at 1100 they pushed it back several times before cancelling my order at 1140pm. Wasted 40 minutes of my time for what? I will not ever come or order from here again. Thats terrible. Imagine being hunfmgry waiting near an hour to have to wait again for a second time. These are 20 an hour employees?
Check your account after going here. I just got breakfast there and noticed that the employees were acting shady. They held on to my debit card a little too long so I checked my account when I got to work and seen that they charged my card twice. Someone bought themselves breakfast with my card too. I’m disputing it with my bank but I’ll never go back to this location.
Went to try the new Kraby Patty Meal, it was such a rip off. Save your money. The tiny tiny pineapple frosty was disgusting. The meal had nothing special and didn't even taste good. Ordered cinnamon buns and that was gross too. Won't visit a Wendy's ever again!
Food was cold and missing items staff gave no recipient and when I called fora copy of the receipt but they were unable to give one or a customer number stragnly enough was able to.give me.my total of 42bucks and a order number that doesn't correspond to anything.edit i ment to mention the only thing not cold was the frosty
If you like hair in your burger and like missing a set of fries with your order, then this is the place for you! Don't bother coming to this restaurant!
Disappointed with the Experience It’s a little disappointing that, with how expensive things are these days, places don’t seem to take more pride in their service or quality. I recently went through the drive-thru and ordered a large Coke, a burger, nuggets, and fries. Unfortunately, the experience was underwhelming. The Coke was leaking and dripping everywhere — I had to wipe the entire cup down just to avoid it spilling all over me and the inside of my car. On top of that, the nuggets and fries were cold, which really took away from the meal. The only thing that was done right was the burger — it was warm and tasted fine. But overall, for the price, I expected better quality and care.

I tried to order from here at 1100 they pushed it back several times before cancelling my order at 1140pm. Wasted 40 minutes of my time for what? I will not ever come or order from here again. Thats terrible. Imagine being hunfmgry waiting near an hour to have to wait again for a second time. These are 20 an hour employees?
