Avis sur Billar Madero Santiago de Querétaro
Very small restaurant but food tastes really well. Very natural, not heavy at all. We had the lunch of the day and got a small salad, soup was delicious and enchiladas verdes. 100 recommend!
Excellent service, the food is top-notch, and the prices are fair. I highly recommend it. I'll definitely be back.
Super riquicimo
I liked the place; it's comfortable. It took a long time to serve, and for the price, the food was very little. We were left hungry because they served very little, and for two adults and one child, it cost over 500 pesos.
Today, I had a surprise, and unfortunately not a pleasant one. The place is nice and cozy, the waiter's service is good, and the food and its overall concept are also good. Today's menu, for example, started with potato soup or broccoli cream soup, followed by a sope or carrot salad with cucumber and dressing. For the main course, we had chicken with mole sauce or breaded fish, and pineapple water was nicely presented in a mason jar. In short, it's a centrally located and easily accessible place that I've visited on previous occasions without any problems. However, today, one of my dishes contained a piece of metal thread, like the kind used for dishwashing scouring pads. It's a real shame. I hope the owners or managers pay more attention to this. I want to clarify that this is a constructive review, intended to be positive. Thinking back, it was also nice to see the same waiter I've had for at least a couple of years, and he even knows the diners by name—a nice touch, and kudos to him.
Very small, puny portions. The girl who served me was friendly. I asked the price of the rice and decided not to order it because if it's served equally puny, it wouldn't be worth it. Everything was canapé-sized. If you eat like a bird, you'll love this place. I liked the spaghetti poblano. Nothing extraordinary, though. I don't know if I'll return.
It used to be worth eating there, but now they only served us a glass; before they gave a pitcher per person and their tortillas were reheated. Later on, it's the same price and the food is much better.
Visiting the city, I stopped by and thought it was a good place for breakfast. I imagined the prices would be high considering it's in the downtown area. However, I think they're too high for the amount of food they offer. While the flavor isn't bad, it's not spectacular or good either. Furthermore, on their menu and on the sign outside, the option "breakfast with coffee and juice" appears, and it turns out you can only order one (I ordered juice, and they give you about 150 or 200 ml). Additionally, when they serve you, they give you two sweet rolls (which, while they don't tell you they're complimentary, they don't warn you that they'll charge you for them). It's not indicated anywhere (not even on the menu), and you don't ask because, by not asking for them, you think they're complimentary. In the end, they charged me $15 for each one. The good thing is that I didn't order more juice because it would surely have been too expensive.
We ordered some milanesa sandwiches, and because of time constraints, I wanted them to go. When I was eating them, besides them being tasteless, I found a hair in one 😒 The service was okay, but if they're going to be selling food, they should pay much more attention to these kinds of details. Honestly, I have no desire to return 😠
We arrived and when they brought us the drinks, they were lukewarm. When we politely asked for ice, their response was, "The water already has ice." It was like, "Mmm, but if I'm asking for ice, it's because I need it." Their terrible service makes me never want to return and I won't recommend this place. The price is way too high for what it is. I came to this restaurant as a last resort because there was a huge line at Zandunga and I was really short on time. Without a doubt, Zandunga is better. It's the same price, you get more food, and the service is much, much better.
Very underwhelming food. Ordered machaca for breakfast. What I got was a scrambled egg. Too tired to argue. Over priced even for a tourist area.
The prices are way too high for what it is. How can 150 pesos be charged for 3 enchiladas? You can find the same amount or more just a few blocks away for 55 pesos. On top of that, we arrived for breakfast and they didn't have the ingredients and had to go out and buy them. It took them ages to bring me just two teas. And the juice they offer is Del Valle Pulpy, but served in a glass cup 🥴 The food tastes good, but it's not worth it for the reasons mentioned above. I understand it's a tourist area and prices can be high, and fine, I'll pay it, but at least the service should be decent. I'm never coming back.
Do not visit this place. The food is bad, tastes like oil, isn't fresh, and the portion size is unfair for the price. The place is unpleasant. I'm writing this because I haven't seen any improvements in 7 years, despite similar reviews. If there were an attempt to improve, perhaps these comments could prevent damaging the business's image. I had bad luck with this place; don't visit it. Or rate it yourself.
The price is very high for the portions. They offer breakfast packages and don't give you what's supposed to be included, and their excuse is "I don't have any anymore." I bought a sandwich, and the aluminum foil it was wrapped in had a really strange and unpleasant smell. I don't recommend it at all.
I chose this place as a second option, but I regretted it. The prices are way too high for the portions they serve, it's like they're playing house. With that price, you might as well go to other restaurants in the area. I was Debout and farewell. If you can avoid it, don't go in.
