We discovered Mimi’s after landing late at SRQ. What a wonderful find. From the warm, welcoming and romantic atmosphere to the food and staff, Mimi’s Speak Easy is fantastic! The food is exceptionally delicious; we ordered the smoked salmon which is cured on site, chicken liver pate, beet and spinach salad, and salmon for dinner. The layers of flavors and welcoming hospitality will be remembered fondly. Thankfully we left room for dessert.

Amazing experience at Mimi Brasserie! The food was incredible, hands down the best pasta I’ve ever had. The Rigatoni Vert is an absolute must. Bethany gave us excellent wine pairings with our food, which made the whole experience feel thoughtful and elevated. The atmosphere is perfect for a date night, and ending the evening with a drink at the speakeasy is the cherry on top. Best wine and menu in Sarasota, can’t wait to come back!

This place is a beautiful gateway to a different time. We came in for my friend’s birthday, had steaks and salmon. The wine was absolutely excellent. They have a huge selection of really good wine, one of my friends is a Somalia and she probably only knew about a half of the wine menu. Timothy was our server, and he was so knowledgeable and kind, he let us have a few samples of wine to figure out which ones we wanted. Honestly, I don’t know what we liked more, the wine or the steaks. But I can tell you what our favorite part of the night was… So, in the back, hidden. There’s this secret bar. Somebody has to let you in, but when you go back there, it is so super cute! The vibe is amazing, the bartender, Lora, is absolutely outstanding! A lot of us ordered off their speakeasy menu, which rotates, so if we come back in two weeks, it could be different. One of my friends didn’t know what she wanted so the bartender made her something off the menu just for her and she loved it! This place is so magical. It’s not just a dinner restaurant. This is a 360° experience

I had the pleasure of experiencing the amazing vibe at Mimi’s. From the moment you walk in you feel warm and welcome. The staff were so friendly and knowledgeable about the food and cocktails. Matt, our bartender made excellent recommendations. We enjoyed the Happy Hour Charcuterie (great deal), Caesar Salad (they don’t skimp on the anchovies - loved it) and Mimi’s Slider (this slider is amazing 10/10). The owner was friendly and kind - thanking us for being there. Mimi’s is a gem and I can’t wait to take my family and friends there! PS. Their complementary Canneles are amazing!

My wife and I had an amazing experience at the Speakeasy at Mimi's this past Friday night. Loved the atmosphere and the age range of other visitors. Bethany's hospitality was beyond welcoming, appetizers were very good and Lor's drink suggestions were awesome! ...made for a wonderful evening out!

Bartender was the best mixologist I’ve encountered. My friends and I came in the room Saturday night. We told her to surprise us with whatever drink she felt was for us. She NAILED IT!!! Also ordered the charcuterie board with the five choice option and it was delicious. Will definitely return. Atmosphere was super chill.

We have been waiting for a place like this in Sarasota for so long. The attention to detail, from the decor, to the eclectic menu items, to the impeccable service (thank you Tomothy), to the discreet speakeasy in the back - is astonishing. My girlfriend took me here for a belated birthday dinner and we never even got around to ordering the entrees as we were full with the happy hour James River oysters, and a beautifully presented charcuterie board with one of my favorites, chicken liver pate. Afterwards we were ushered into the Speakeasy in the back, coolest vibe in Florida. I can't say enough about this place. We will be regulars.

It was so fun going here opening night! We were a group of 5 so we got to try a lot of things. I LOVE that this restaurant menu is so diverse and had so many interesting creations! We tried a plethora of items from their charcuterie board, which were all great, but the beet cured salmon was the most unique one. The onion dip is SO thick and amazing! You must try it. The leek tartine was super unique and very savory, a big portion, kind of like a bruschetta. The ham and cheese pithivier was also a great size and it's like a big stuffed puffed pastry with a great mustard aioli. Could easily be an entree for a person. Two people got the salmon and loved it. The steak frites was cooked perfectly and very tender. I hope this place does well! The atmosphere is awesome and the hidden speakeasy will be so great for happy hours. Everyone in the area should stop by here after work for a drink and a snack, at the very least! Such a great addition to the community!

Mimi Brasserie & Speakeasy is a standout. Elegant, cozy, and sophisticated, with amazing European-inspired dishes that are beautifully prepared and full of flavor. The speakeasy vibe adds something special to the experience, whether you’re enjoying cocktails or a full dinner. The service is attentive and knowledgeable, making the whole evening feel effortless and memorable. One of those places you end up recommending to everyone.

We got to preview Mimi last week and we loved it. Great modern cocktails and prohibition era inspired drinks. Also, a well curated wine list add to the ambiance. We enjoyed croquettes and steak frites. For dessert, we got a tour of the Speakeasy, which is a sexy, cozy room perfect for private events I think. Wishing them the best!

I had a fantastic experience! The service was attentive, pleasant, and genuinely welcoming from start to finish. I ordered the Half Roasted Chicken, and it was cooked perfectly - juicy, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The ambiance is outstanding. The attention to detail in the main dining room is terrific. The speakeasy room is an absolute must-visit. It’s the perfect spot to slip into after dinner for a cocktail and dessert—it really adds something special to the whole evening. A big shout-out to Eddie, Bethany, Anthony, and the rest of the team. They’re doing an excellent job with their new restaurant. Highly recommend checking it out!

My family and I were visiting from out of town and just had to check this place out! Great ambiance and the speakeasy was a plus; cozy and private perfect for a digestif! The food was delicious (we tried a little bit of everything😃), and I just fell in love with the savory frites (fries) which I just had to ask about the sauce and it turns out that the "mole" is house made for hours. The croquettes were delicious (we tried the cod and beef), not to mention their soups (loved the cauliflower velouté) ...our main dish braised lamb shank, steak frites, and rigotoni verte all so fantastic! We're definitely coming back on our next visit to Sarasota, although I highly recommend making a reservation beforehand because this place gets busy. The service was superb and we didn't mind waiting in between our servings, we just had more wine😃... which by the way has an amazing selection of wines! Highly recommend 👌

The best restaurant in Sarasota. I had dinner on Wednesday and have gone back every night since. I have yet to find anything but the best food and drinks. Super cute atmosphere, everywhere you look there is something worth pointing out. I had the Mimi burger and the rigatoni vert and have not stopped thinking about it since. I can’t wait to try everything. You must get the croquettes as well but everything is amazing!!

My partner and I decided to try Mimi's. We couldn't find the speakeasy at first because it was hidden behind a mirror, so we had to ask. After walking through the mirror, it was like stepping back in time. Beautifully dressed women dressed in silk gowns and fur wasn't what I was expecting. However, old and young came together to enjoy a moment of history that was forbidden and pleasurable.

This is by far one of the best dining experiences I ever had. The owners vision for the restaurant is exactly what sarasota needs. The food and drinks were spectacular as well as the very knowledgeable staff. The hidden speakeasy is reminiscent of a New York City feel and old world vibe. I am truly excited for them. By the way I don’t write reviews but this was a must. !! Congratulations.

My girlfriend & I went for a drink & apps. We started in speak easy. Lori was exceptional! Personable & organized. Moved to main bar & had great service there. Good job Mimi in choosing your staff! Whatever food you try get the bread basket to complete your experience. It was fresh,warm & so delicious!

Wonderful new spot! Met a friend at the bar for drinks and apps, and we were very impressed with the whole experience! The environment is very welcoming and elegant. The staff is amazing - friendly, knowledgeable, attentive. Delicious food with eye catching presentation and great cocktails that will have us coming back!

You can inhale the intoxicating atmosphere as soon as you walk in-so cool, vaguely like the Russian Tea Room in New York. Only been twice and I won’t quibble with any of the reviews.. going out shouldn’t just be about a plate of food in this place really delivers.

Love the staff food and drinks at Mimi. Came here for the Caesar steaks fries and drinks. All good and the wine was excellent.

Fantastic food service and ambience, Montreal style dishes

The magic of Mimi’s is the speakeasy in the back of the restaurant. Sexy lounge vibe where the star of the show, Lore, greets you, gets to know you, and asks you a few question to craft the perfect cocktail for you. No menu. Do I like to taste my alcohol or do I prefer something a bit more demure? Have I ever had a classic egg white whisky sour? Everyone’s cocktails were creatively curated and flat out awesome. When your cocktails are ready, she will call out your name and you pick it up at the little bar station. Bravo for this approach. Super cool and unique. The restaurant side had some kinks. We had to ask the owner to send over a server after waiting 10-15 min after we sat down. She was a bit frazzled throughout the service. As for the food, a highlight was the blue cheese dates. The flavors in those little pieces of deliciousness overcompensated for the very small portion (3 small pieces). I could have eaten 10 of them. The wings were flavorful and crispy with a nice balance of sweet and heat. The beet salad was terrific and served at the perfect temperature. The half chicken, steak and frites were also good. The beef croquettes were disappointing. Again, super small portions and the flavor was weird. Food came out at different times !(3 of us received food and 1 person did not) and the server didn’t say anything about the other dish coming so we wondered if the food order had been overlooked. Overall, the restaurant is gorgeously decorated, laid out well. As with all relatively new restaurant openings, it’s understandable to have some hiccups. Mimi’s has a bright future once they dial in the service on the restaurant side and keep Lore front and center in the speakeasy. She shines.

Very neat place. Food was just okay. Drinks in the restaurant in the front were good ,drinks in the back speakeasy were not. They were half the size as the front bar and had to be remade two times at least. I don't mind paying exorbitant prices for a drink however don't give me a half pour and would love to have consistency of the drink I had in the front restaurant.Not sure about going back.

We wanted to like it, however service was not great, orders were incorrect, food was uninspiring. Drinks were made poorly and one was made completely incorrectly. Sadly will not be going back.
