Started off great when they say “ seat any where you like “. This is a small easy to miss restaurant next to a gas station in a small shopping center . Julie our server was super sweet and helpful to let us know some of her favorite dishes were , she quickly got us some beers and gave us time to look over the menu . My boyfriend and I both had shrimp and ravioli with garlic pesto sauce , the meal came with house salad which could have only been better by giving a few more tomatoes ( pretty good other than that ). The garlic bread was toasted just right with just the right about of garlic , it was crusty and soft . The real star of the show what the entree I have never had Italian food that good . This is about an hour away from where we live but will be back to try some more goods . We enjoyed chatting with Julie for a few minutes after our meal was done .
The Chef outdid himself! The Salad, Chicken Alfredo and Pepperoni pizza were fantastic! Everything was delicious! Our server was very friendly and efficient!
Great Italian food! Well established restaurant. I had the Eggplant Parmesan w side of large portion of spaghetti for lunch. It comes with a salad and garlic bread for 12.99. The sauce was very tasty and the eggplant was cooked just right, not too much breading with fresh cheese on top. Definitely going back as I have several times. Service was great!
Moved to San Antonio 1985, ran across Capparellis on 410 & Broadway, back then and we would do lunch as worked down the street at Webergs Furniture. Capparellis had really good food at a reasonable price. We were out this past Sunday in Schertz and ran across Capparellis by accident missed a turn and making u turn and there they were. We stopped and had an incredible lunch, & great desert and great service. Recommend them highly.
The all-meat pizza here was excellent and well worth the $26. You get a huge pizza loaded with a generous variety of meats, and the quality really stands out. The only downside is the wait time, it takes over 30 minutes for the pizza. But honestly, it’s understandable given how fresh everything tastes. On top of that, the atmosphere is great and makes the wait much more enjoyable. Overall, a very satisfying experience and definitely worth a visit.
Mama Mia! I was pleasantly surprised how good the food was here. I had just got done visiting the Natural Bridge Caverns and wanted to stop somewhere close to eat, a quick google search brought me to this Italian restaurant. I must have gone through some sort of fancy wormhole or something down in those caverns because I could've sworn, I was in Italy with how good the food was. I had the Italian Wedding Soup it was so good I briefly considered proposing to it, might be why they call it that! Had some pizza along with some cheese bread the sauce on both were positively flirtatious and delicious!
Looking for Great Italian Food in Texas ... this strip mall location in the middle of nowhere is worth the drive. The salad dressing is bright and perfectly balanced. It made me want to use the fresh garlic bread to eat every last drop. The marinara sauce is full of great flavor and tastes so fresh. The alfredo sauce is rich and cheesy. Come support this small family restaurant!!!
Everything was AMAZING! Our waitress was great (Julianne -red hair 2 braids ) I believe was her name. She had personality, checked on us often and super friendly!!! She really took care of our party of 8! Boxed our to go pizzas, didnt have to ask for anything, she was ready! Atmosphere was great, food was EXCELLENT & we'll be back!
Great family owned restaurant! We had the toasted ravioli which was just the right amount of jalapeño spicy. Then we shared a 16 inch supreme pizza, and we had tons of leftovers because their pizza is thick, with lots of mozzarella! The crust was my favorite, crispy and thick. Brandy was our server and she was the best!
First came here in 2003, fast foward 2022 my family brought me for 40th bday. Small restaurant with great food. I always get the fettuccine add chicken, spaghetti, or the pizza. Nice size salads with excellent garlic bread. My toddlers are the pickest in the world and they liked the pizza. Menus not huge and parking is odd. Great employees!
The food was great and looked like the picture on Google. The server who helped us was rather slow. I asked for an extra minute to decide what to order, and then it was nearly impossible to get her to come back to place the order! And there was only one other diner, so she was just too busy talking to another employee.
This place is the cutest little neighborhood hot spot. Definitely a place you'll see someone you know. My husband has been going here since 1998 and it's kept its charm. Today we had side salads and the tomato bread for appetizers. The red wine vinegar dressing is soo good on the tomato bread. J got eggplant parmesan with rigatoni, and I got the cheese ravioli that comes with a huge meatball. The meatball was absolutely the best thing on the table. Overall Capparelli's is a great local place for a quiet table and good food at a really great price.
The food is cooked hours before and re-warmed. 🤢 Salad dressing is straight vinegar to the point you can’t eat it and meatballs need a ton of work. Garden Ridge location needs to be revamped because we need good restaurants! I’m done for now and I hope something will change.
After going to Capparelli’s for over 50 yrs & I think I’m done. The red sauce for meatballs in a boat was no where the same wonderful Capparelli family sauce. That’s why we go there for consistency that we have enjoyed since they opened the 1st store. 🤔😢 Also, I understand price increases but…call-in take-out for 1 serving cost me $16 for just the 2 average meatballs in a boat. No wonder the prices are no longer posted on line! This was at the 3009 store.
I've been coming here for years but this is repulsive. The service is always 100% but the chicken Alfredo wad horrible. Made a to go order and came back to remake because it was "soupy". The gal at the desk was SO extra nice. I never bring back to go orders but I paid almost $50 for a meal for two. Long story short, it was still soupy after it wad made. After cooling it seemed better and did have better flavor than the 1st. Reheating it I have realized that their Alfredo sauce is completely OIL. I am repulsed by the amount of oil and fat there is even after attempting to reheat it properly in a pan. Thought about adding heavy cream but it's so far gone I can't reheat it. My homemade Alfredo doesn't do this. Im so so sad. Again service was 1000% but dang I'd stay away from any white sauce there.
This longtime San Antonio eatery's Garden Ridge location is struggling. The dining room appeared dingy, the overhead lighting was off or not working, and the A/C drain was backed up and dripping near the open drink pitchers. Our server was friendly, but clearly overworked. My Chicken Alfredo was more akin to flavorless noodle soup, and the red sauce over the meatballs was thin and bland. I truly hope this decades old, family run business can bring it back around, but at present, I can not recommend the Garden Ridge location.
