Had a great dinner with friends. The service was great, and they pride themselves on generous portion sizes. We enjoyed the appetizer meatballs, the bolonese, and an off-menu special of sea bass and lobster ravioli.

We were craving Italian and decided to check this place out. After living near this intersection for years, I was surprised I hadn’t been here before! Come to find out its previous location was at the SW corner of Frank Lloyd Wright & Scottsdale Road. This location is more quaint, but wonderful service and attention to detail. The lasagna was so thick; it blew us away! Everything is homemade. The server shared they could make something to order, which was nice touch. I need to go back soon to enjoy a yummy meal and support a great local spot!

Although this place is fairly pricey, you are getting what you paid for. The service was excellent, our waiter explained all the dishes, made allergy accomodations, and was generally a warm and funny guy. The food was excellent too, it doesn't look like alot, but the quality is so good that it will fill you up. The aesthetic of the restaurant fits well too, small and cozy Italian themed. Come whenever there is a special occasion, or you feel like splurging on Dinner

What a great authentic, family owned restaurant. From the music to the food and not to mention the service, everything made the experience fantastic. Darius was an exceptional server. He made the experience so much better! The food was great, traditional italian dishes with perfect portions. I will definitely be back and will highly recommend this place! Thank you for making my birthday special and memorable 😁🤙

This place is pretty pricey but I got a Groupon which was a great deal. You can also check in on yelp to receive 20% off. They give you bread & some type of oil which is good & flavorful. But we also asked for butter & it taste so good with butter & the oil. We got the chicken parmigiana & the chicken marsala the chicken was huge for both plates. You can customize your plate which I didn't know, the server only told us after. Like less mushrooms for the chicken marsala and if you don't want veggies you can substitute it for potatoes which you definitely need more for the marsala. They also have a patio outside and a bar inside.

Husband took me here for my birthday. It is a cute little spot on the corner. Staff was extremely friendly and the food was so good! Picture below is the salmon in a cream lemon sauce with veggies. We got the calamari as an appetizer. The Marinara sauce was fantastic! We will be back!

It's quaint and neat. Servers act like they have been there forever, and if you are lucky enough to get Chaz, he treats you like family. The portions on our food choices was massive and delicious. Not sure exactly what they put in the dipping goodness for the bread, but it's terrific. Just a nice spot to grab a bite of Italian food that you should certainly check out.

Food was excellent and service was outstanding. The stuffed shells were filled with a sausage/ beef mixture, salad had berries and candied walnuts, dessert was canoli.

If you haven’t been to La Torretta it’s a must go place! Darius did a last minute to go order for my sons birthday party and everything was a hit! Big portions at reasonable prices! The best little family owned Italian restaurant in Scottsdale!

The staff, atmosphere and food were amazing!! I had lasagna and it was the best tasting meal I had in a long time. My hubby had butternut squash and it was good!!!! The photos had extra Parmesan cheese added on.

Thank you, Dureas, the owner of La Torreta, for such a great dinner at your restaurant. Dear La Torretta Ristorante, we just wanted to express our deepest gratitude for all the delicious food and service we received when we visited yesterday your beautiful restaurant. This was the first time we came to this restaurant, and we will sure come again, the next time we visit. We ordered Chicken, Veal and fish and all the dishes were excellent. The owner was very nice and came to chat multiple times. He is so funny. Thank you for a lovely experience.

We had an amazing experience. The owner waited on us and was knowledgeable, funny, polite, and took great care in providing a wonderful dinner. Everything we ordered was absolutely delicious and the portions were generous. Highly recommend!

La Torretta is our favorite restaurant in Scottsdale. From the excellent food to the attentive and personalized service, it is wonderful. Everything we have ordered here is so delicious. Though it might sound boring, lately I have been ordering their lasagne and let me just say, I leave the restaurant with enough leftovers for both myself and my husband for dinner the next day. The portions are that huge. If you are cost-conscious, just know that they give you a great deal of food for your money. For example, my husband and I always split their Caesar salad and have ample enough to eat. A couple could literally split the salad and an entree and likely take home leftovers for lunch the next day. Bottom line...be sure to try La Torretta. You will not be disapointed.

Lived here over 30 years and never tried this restaurant. What a mistake! It was delish Kindly took us last minute for an early reservation and seated us immediately. Had fabulous service, excellent recommendations and we were not disappointed! Will be back to try the Eggplant Parmesan and several other dishes we saw delivered to other tables.

Hands down the best Italian restaurant we have ever been to. Service and food were equally exceptional. We started with escargot, then had spaghetti vongole (added crushed red peppers on the server’s recommendation) and spaghetti bolognese. 10 out of 10 all the way around. We will be back here frequently, our new favorite spot. We spent $40 a person which included a mixed drink for each of us, a shared appetizer, and two very generous size pasta entrees.

The service was not only impeccable, but our waiter was so personable and friendly. Lovely, intimate spot. I ordered a Caesar salad which was delicious. I rarely order eggplant parmesean as I generally find the eggplant to be overcooked or overbreaded. I saw an order being served as we were seated and decided to give it a try. It was fabulous! Their red sauce is fresh and delicious. Not too acidy. The eggplant couldn't have been prepared any better. Dish came with penne in red sauce and perfectly prepared freshly seasoned veggies. Highly recommend.

While I didn’t dine it I got the chance to see the place for myself. It’s in an upscale neighborhood in Scottsdale so it’s very nice. It’s a small restaurant but it’s definitely nicely aesthetically appealing. The person who helped me get my order was very nice and welcoming. I got the food to go and a long drive back to East Mesa. The food was amazing I got the linguine and clams. The pasta was cooked perfectly, the sauce was zesty and packed with flavor. I was hoping they kept the clams in the shell but the clams itself taste very good and cooked properly. My wife also got the smoked chicken pasta and that was also very delicious. The chicken was soft and definitely did have a smoky flavor, the creamy sauce just melts in your mouth. She couldn’t finish it and took it to work the next day and texted me saying how amazing it tasted even the next day. She asked me if we can come back and we may just take a drive back. Overall this place is a must go. Definitely not your Olive Garden sheesh what is that place anyways?

Let me just start by pointing out my last name. I LOVE great Italian food. Tonight, I found my new favorite spot. Outstanding, attentive service, by both Tom and the owner, but the food....... was to die for. This place is simple and very unassuming. I have been to some other "high end" Italian restaurants in the surrounding area, and none of them even come close with the food. It was perfect. From the flavor, to the temperature, to the serving size. They feed you! I had the bolognese, with a meatball and sausage. Every bite bursted with flavor. My taste buds were on overdrive. The patron next to me had the escargot, which smelled amazing, her Cesar salad looked so fresh (with a nice sized lemon wege), and I overheard her say that she thoroughly enjoyed her meat ravioli. It would have been rude of me to ask if I could photograph her food, but it was picture perfect! I got some cannoli to go, and I can't wait to try those tomorrow. This is the perfect spot to bring a date, because you will actually be able to hear each other. Worth the drive, no matter where you live in the valley. Run...... don't walk to this spot.

Tried this place with a restaurant.com deal. Easy parking and an intimate restaurant. An amazing owner-server, friendly and attentive. I felt like he really wanted us to enjoy his place. Tasty food with plenty of options. A place to seek out... From the 2 UK guys.

My mom, grandma and myself enjoy coming here. Tom is always there to greet us with a smile and treats us like family. The food is delicious! The bread comes out warm and fresh, service is top notch, the food is cooked perfectly! It is small but it adds to the charm and intimacy of this restaurant. We will be back!

My husband (David F) and I have been coming to La Toretta for a few years starting at their prior location. We have always had a fantastic meal, fantastic ambiance and fantastic owners! Tom who works along side Darius is equally amazing. Food is generously portioned and they will try their best to accommodate special requests! No negatives here, 5 stars!

I really don’t want more diners to learn about this fabulous Italian restaurant, but they deserve the acclaim. Let’s start with a slight negative. With two walls of glass, it’s difficult to make the restaurant have a “warm” feeling. Now forget that. Service:Outstanding! Food:Outstanding. Portions:Huge. Value:Fantastic. This was our first time at La Torretta. We ordered a variety of items. Every one of them was thoughtfully prepared and delicious. The owner served us and that was special. He was quite witty and is totally committed to insuring that you have a wonderful dining experience. Five stars doesn’t do this place justice. We eat out a lot and have a handful of “go to” places that we know will never disappoint. La Torretta will be one of the restaurants at the top of that list.

Food and service was amazing! Definitely worth the drive from Queen Creek. Wish we had one near us. I was craving the smoked chicken within just a few days of visiting. Great options on the menu. I will be back to try out other dishes for sure.

Probably the best food experience we’ve ever had! Not only was the dinner and dessert amazing, our server Luis was beyond entertaining. We had the most delightful dinner. Most items are made in house and the attention to detail is amazing. This is a family run business, so the care that goes into the dining experience is above and beyond. Truly enjoyed every minute of this dinner. Keep up the amazing service and delicious family meals. We will be back because the meals are superb and it’s service like this that deserves our business! Thanks again!

My wife and I decided to go to dinner Fridan night and I remembered that a friend had spoken about this place with great enthusiasm. We walked in and my first impression was that the Ambiance score was not very high. In fact, I recalled visiting this same location when it was a Sushi restaurant a couple years ago. The appearance had not changed much. The fact that there was a 45 min wait to get a table reminded me that this was probably going to be a good place to eat. My wife and I ventured across the parking lot to Zips for a cocktail to kill the time. The bartender at Zips asked us if we needed menus and we told her that we had plans to eat at La Torretta at 8pm. She said that their food was MUCH MUCH better than Zips and assured us that we made the right choice. We returned to La Toretta and were greeted by Darius (I think that is his name) and he took us to a table…..and then served our table. Turns out he is the owner, and he has a great sense of humor. When I asked him his name I thought he said “Daenerys” to which I responded “Storm born?” and he cleverly caught on and said “yes, of the House Targaryen”. This is from the Game of Thrones series for you NON nerds reading this review. His service was amazing. I had the Glute Free Pasta Bolognese, and it might have been the best meal of my life. I gave serious consideration to licking the plate but figured my wife (an Angel) would be embarrassed and I would let me come back if I brought shame upon her and our family, so I restrained myself. My wife loved her stuffed Shells. Both dishes were generous portions. The Cabinet was great, and the Tiramisu was delicious. The prices seemed quite reasonable. My new fear that too many people will find out about this place and it gets too busy for me to get a table.

Sylvia Bronson

The food is amazing, they are very willing to customize, and very large portions to take some home for lunch the next day! We shared a Caesar salad to start, then the Hawaiian Sun Fish with angel hair pasta and a Rigatoni special. The cheesecake was to die for, paired perfectly with the house made Limocello. 🤤 Can't wait to go back!!

A friend and I went to La Torretta by happy serendipity. It was within walking distance of our Motel, so it was an easy choice. And what a happy choice it was. The restaurant itself was lovely, quiet (no raucous bar crowd, TV, boisterous diners, etc.). Our waiter, Darius, was friendly, personable, knowledgeable about the items on the menu, attentive without asking 20 times during the meal "How's everything?". We had a fantastic meal, and a relaxing evening. Will highly recommend that you treat yourself to a tasty and delightful evening at this restaurant.

You must eat here. Family owned, true Italian food. Our server was also the owner with his father and from the get-go made us feel like part of the family. The ambiance is beautiful with murals and white tablecloth settings. They tailored our meals precisely to our exact order. If they had it, they could make it. My boyfriend and I tend to be quite particular about what we eat and all of our needs were satisfied and respected. It really made me be proud of my Italian roots to receive such respect and welcoming, especially being young and interracial. You just don’t get great customer service like this a lot anymore. Being vegetarian my meal was pretty basic (salad and seasoned veggies) It was great, but I can’t wait to return and continue to share this place based on the service alone. My boyfriend had a Salmon dinner he described as one of the best he’s had. My advice - visit on a slower night, not a holiday so you can get the full experience.

Best Italian food I have ever had! Family run business and it feels like family when u go to their restaurant. Frank is the son and the best server who makes your dinner very enjoyable with his witty jokes. You will come out of the restaurant with big smiles on your face. Highly recommended 👌

Our first time dining here last night and in all honesty this was probably the best pasta I have had in a while! Generous portions, fresh and delicious. Owner was very kind and accommodating as we were the last table and stayed a bit later to which he has no issues with. We will definitely be back

This is a quintessential neighborhood Italian restaurant. It is remarkable that everything on the menu is really really good. We were blown away by the service, the portion size, and the upright quality of everything. Do not miss this restaurant!

Another great evening at La Torretta! Darius, Tom and the kitchen staff are the best!!! This has been our family's go-to Italian restaurant for the past 10+ years. The food never disappoints, the atmosphere is cozy (try sitting at the bar!!), and Darius and Tom are always so welcoming. Every dish on the menu is fantastic. This a local family-run restaurant that always delivers. Many thanks as always!!!!!!!

Very authentic Italian food. Great service and great people. I highly recommend the pasta dishes and their soups are out of this world. For dessert try their Tiramisu or Cheesecake. Great wine list too.

Darius & his team are entertaining & professional as they anticipate their customers needs. Food is made fresh to order with an excellent selection of boutique wines. Don’t forget try the desserts to finish off the evening.

This is a small Italian restaurant just off Frank Lloyd Wright in North Scottsdale. There is plenty of parking. Because it is a small place, reservations are advised. The service was exceptional, and Tom was fun to talk with. The escargot was very good. The veal dishes are also good -- but perhaps too large. Really very generous portions. Tom recommended the cheese cake, and he was right. We went at an early hour, and so the restaurant was not filled. And the noise level was not high. Because of the small size, it might get noisy when the restaurant is filled. There are a few other Italian restaurants nearby, but this place definitely deserves your attention. Prices -- well -- these are Scottsdale prices. But the quality and service definitely is commensurate with the prices. We really had a pleasant dinner.

My husband took me here for my birthday - very quaint, bright, cozy, friendly staff. We were immediately greeted with a smile, our drinks took less than 5 minutes to receive, our appetizer shortly followed. Our dinner was very delicious and the service was spot on. I believe our guys name was Tom (I think). Very attentive. Usually appetizer, dinner, desert can take 2-3 hours at a sit down restaurant. I was happy that we were able to enjoy a nice evening and yummy food and done within 1 1/2 hours because we didn’t have to wait obscene time for each meal or the bill. Will definitely return!

I've been to the old LA torretta twice, and this is a new one. Darius the owner wad his usual awesome self. The menu was rather good,, not as extensive as other Italian places I've been to but again you want to control food costs. I thought the prices were reasonable for the quality of food, and I had the veal marsala with linguine and oil on the side with lots of garlic. The desserts were very good. I would definitely go back, and worth the drive.

Great Italian food, good portions & fair prices, our first choice for Italian in the Valley of the Sun!

Family favorite for Italian food. I'm so glad to see them in my neighborhood! The lasagna portion was enormous, so I was able to enjoy the leftovers for lunch the next day. The mushroom gravy on the veal marsala was rich and tasty. Dinner for 2 with 2 glasses of wine (included bread service) about $100

Went out for Italian last night end ended up with food poisoning :/ I had cramps within 10 mins of taking two bites of the “Eggplant Parmesan”.. First off- The eggplant parm seemed microwaved and was slimy, gooey and tasted terrible! It was definitely old. The noodles were a bit hard and the entire dish was sitting in a bath of water.. the server came by and quickly asked how the food was and I said not good and he walked away as quickly as he arrived. When we finally got his attention and I told him my food was terrible he blamed me and said I didn’t tell him when he asked previously. Smfh worst service and food I’ve had in awhile. #LaTorretaItalian was a total bust. 2/10 because the undercooked and unseasoned veggies were actually good. Hire a chef who actually cares about what’s leaving, hire servers who are more about quality control than telling customers the Bad Food Quality is our fault. He told me to give them another chance and try some else. Yeaaa, never again. My friend had the Chicken Parmesan and she said it didn’t taste very good.. neither of us ate our plates except the salads. Never again.

Didn’t eat here because when we walked in at 810 pm the waiter looked at us, rolled his eyes and said “the kitchen went home”…. The website states they close at 830 pm. We rushed to get over there because we were told by some nit wit Chicago dude that this place was good. Thank goodness for Nik’s across the street! We’ve eaten at the other Nik’s so we knew the menu. They welcomed us right away and we were still inside with another big table at 915 pm. Bye bye la tractor! If I could give you a big fat zero star rating , I would.
