Saturday, October 23 of course I wait until last minute to get German chocolate cake for a birthday. German chocolate cakes are always in stock at Safeway, I called Lucky’s and they didn’t have any German chocolate cakes either. I came across Angelina‘s bakery after searching who made cakes near me. I called at 3:30 PM but they also didn’t have any German Chocolate cakes ready. The woman on the phone asked me when I would need the cake. 6pm I said, she put me on hold and when she got back on the phone and said they could, and would have the cake done by 6 o’clock! Let me tell you, not only was that exceptional customer service, but the cake was so delicious. I am always watching my money, but this made me realize that spending a few more dollars to get that quality is so worth every penny!

Lovely cafe with tasty pastries and rich hot chocolate. Friendly employees that are a pleasure to chat with and a comfortable atmosphere that lets you relax and enjoy something warm. While I was there kindness was shown to a homeless man by the people who owned Angelina’s Bakery. This is the kind of place that makes a city a community.

Cannot say enough good things about this bakery. Not only are the baked goods fantastic but the employees and owner are so kind. We just bought a box of cookies that my son dropped on the floor as I was paying and without skipping a beat they went to the back and got fresh cookies to replace the broken ones and comforted my crying child. Today is my daughter's birthday. She is obsessed with Beenie Boos. I totally spaced when planning and forgot to order a cake. I called Angelina's yesterday and spoke with Kim and also the owner I think? He was a really kind gentleman. They both worked with me to create the perfect cake, which looked just like my daughter's favorite Beenie Boo. They also offered a military discount and had it ready for pickup yesterday evening. They were so kind and accommodating and so reasonably priced. I can't wait to try it! If it's anything as tasty as their coffee cake it will be absolutely amazing! Thank you so much!

Hidden gem in Seaside. In the past I have been a big fan of another popular breakfast place just down the road but they aren't quite as good as they used to be. These guys are making it happen though. The omelette and hash browns I just had were top notch. Looking at the neighboring table's French toast and it all looks high quality. No fresh brewed iced tea though. Just that nasty Arizona and Snapple. But, they are more a bakery it would seem. Coffee is self-serve and seemed fine.

The staff was wonderful and kind, and provided excellent customer service! I am greatly saddened by the fact that I did not find this place sooner. The spinach pastry was excellent, and the apple turnover was just right... not too sweet, but enough to indulge the sweet tooth.

Fabulous little bakery. You can even get full breakfast and lunch. The pastries are awesome and they even have a reduced price table for older breakfast pastries. Pricing ok, could be a little less. However, You could "probably" leave the major chain coffee shop that's across the street paying just about the same for a medium coffee and a pastrie. The place is clean and the employees are friendly.

We were beginning our search for a bakery to make our wedding cake. We interviewed many bakeries that claimed to bake wedding cakes but we soon discovered that they seemed to only make wedding cakes from a list of basic cakes..... What was interesting was that they all seemed to have the same list..... We began to get discouraged. Someone told us about Angelina's in Seaside, CA. We visited Angelina's and began discussions...... One of the things that seemed to cause a lack of interest on the part of all the previous bakeries was that we were interested in having a carrot cake for our wedding cake. When we began our discussions with Angelina's we mentioned that we were considering carrot cake, Angelina's gracious staff didn't even flinch. They told us it could be done. We began thinking of possibly having alternate layers of other types of cake, not just carrot. We decided on a simple three layer cake, but were still considering wanting something else in addition to the carrot cake. Angelina's staff was more than accommodating, and very patient to say the least. We finally settled on carrot cake, Italian rum and lemon custard for the 3 tier cake...... but I (the groom) still wasn't satisfied..... I still felt there was something missing. My fiance' told me to make the decision regarding what else to do...... I couldn't make up my mind..... but finally the decision was made with Angelina's staff. We were now looking forward to a 3 tier cake of carrot, lemon custard and Italian rum layers..... WITH 2 individual half sheet cakes, one of carrot and the other of Italian Rum. Next the decision was to be made on how to decorate the cake..... So then the research was on. We decided to have the some orchids cascading down from the top layer. We showed some samples to Angelina's staff..... They understood. The BLUE orchids were supplied two days before the wedding. On our wedding day (Nov 9th), Angelina's staff showed up at our venue ON TIME and I was called outside to see the cake/s in their delivery vehicle...... I distinctly remember my immediate reaction as WOW !!! I was blown away by the beautiful wedding cakes. Angelina's staff prepared a most delicious combination for us. Angelina's staff is wonderful, gracious, friendly and professional. Angelina's made us feel as though our desires were not impossible to attain. We love Angelina's and would sincerely recommend them to anyone desiring perfection...... even something different.

We had looked at other bakeries in the area to make our son's cake. I tried the cupcakes at Paris Bakery and while they were tasty for an adult they used chocolate ganache and it didn't have a very kid friendly flavor. I was bowled over however by the cupcakes at Angelina's Bakery. The chocolate was nice and dark chocolate flavored and the vanilla had a rich flavor. The butter cream frosting was amazing. Thick and creamy but not overly sweet. I hate buttercream that I have had from other places but Angelina's was fantastic. I looked through their book of kid's cakes. There was nothing that really stood out to me. So I spoke with the man at the counter who I believe is the owner. He asked what I was looking for and I showed him a couple different designs that I had liked online. He worked with me to make my son the perfect Spiderman cake at a good price. I ended up ordering the deco pack for the top because it would take much longer for them to have waited on their supplier for it and I only had a week before I needed the cake. I picked it up off Amazon with prime shipping and it arrived in 24 hours and I took it back to Angelina's. They were a bit more expensive than you would expect if you compare to grocery store cakes but I think that is because they actually make things from scratch at Angelina's unlike a grocery store that uses prebaked or prepared items or mixes and just frosts them from a prepared bucket. . I was happy with the price I ended up paying for my multi level cake which was $65 and then the cost of the deco pack. I really wish I could post a picture because the cake was beautiful. And when I picked it up the owner's daughter who looked about 12 was working. A very sweet girl who wished my son a happy birthday and helped me get a cupcake to keep him away from his awesome cake until his party the next day. I love it that she is getting to spend time with her dad and learn responsibility and about running a business. This is a real family owned bakery. Thank you Angelina's Bakery!

I wasn't able to see my dad for his birthday and he lives in seaside. So I Google bakeries and found Angelina's. They were able to do it last minute. My dad decided to let his phone die so I had no idea what time he was going to be home. They tried to deliver it and of course he wasn't home. They just said "call us and let us know when you get a hold of him." Finally at 6 I did and they delivered the cake. He loved the carrot cake. Highly recommend.

We were visiting Monterey to celebrate our father’s 72nd birthday. We had rented a small place in Maas Landing, and we’re looking for a bakery to make a special cake. After looking at a few places, online, we reached out to a Angelinas Bakery. It was very easy to order, and we ended up ordering two birthday cakes instead of one. Both cakes were delicious. Seriously, really good cakes. And the cakes were beautifully decorated, just as we imagine they would look. We spoke on the phone with Junior and he was in the store when we picked up our order. He was extremely kind and showed us the cakes to make sure they were perfect before they got boxed up. There are also a million amazing looking things in the store. We bought some macarons and wish that we were able to sample all of the tempting treats. I highly recommend a Angelinas Bakery for all of your baking needs

Went to Angelina’s Bakery in Seaside for a Tres Leches cake for my sweet wife’s birthday. Absolutely one of the best cakes we’ve EVER had! Wonderful staff... helpful, kind, and enjoyable. Staff was great! Kim and Jr. accommodated our small party of 4 so that we could celebrate my birthday. We had 4 Leches cake which is like 3 leches but they add coconut milk. The cake was moist and had good flavor. Kim even lit candles for us. It was a last minute find and I’ll definitely be back to try the white chocolate raspberry.

Angelina’s is my favorite bakery on the peninsula. I’ve picked up several birthday cakes here over the years, and many breakfast pastries. We chose Angelina’s bakery to cater dessert for our wedding - they delivered 100 eclairs for us and they were a hit! (We couldn’t decide so went with half Bavarian crème and half custard- they are both excellent!) I also think that they serve excellent coffee and chai, and they have an under appreciated breakfast menu. The vibe inside is always lively and welcoming. 11/10!

So my experience with this little bakery starts a year ago when me and my wife were shopping around to find the right bakery to get our wedding cake from. We went here and were greeted with nothing but hospitality and sincerity from the get go, we tried several different options for flavors and it was such a difficult choice because all were fantastic. We finally made our choice and decided to stick with this bakery. Fast forward a year, they went above and beyond to help make our event perfect, they decorated the cake to perfection and delivered it to our venue (I think they even did it on their off day which was so kind of them). From the tasting a year ago to the final product, every single bite was moist, rich, savory, sweet, and an overall adventure on the palette that you simply can’t find from any old store bought cake. Thank you for helping make an amazing wedding day! P.s. you must try their tres leches cake, no exaggeration when I say it was legitimately the best I’ve had in my entire life.

Angelina's Bakery Saved the Day! I ordered a custom cake for a going away party at work. This morning I went in to pick it up and found out I had placed the pickup date for tomorrow, not today. The staff was so awesome! They helped get it ready full day early on short notice to make it available for the afternoon party today. They really saved the day! The custom cake was even better than I had expected. Our team was very happy how well it turned out. I found Angelina's Bakery by word of mouth, but they have convinced me with their service that I will be coming back as a happy repeat customer.

I have been going here for a few years now. The cakes are absolutely delicious! We have a lot of March birthdays and our favorite flavor is the lemon cake with raspberry preserves. The owner is very kind and they always pull off any decoration that I want. Would recommend 10/10!!!

Angelina’s created and delivered to the wedding venue an absolutely beautiful wedding cake as well as accompanying sheet cakes. (They arrived promptly during an epic rainstorm). The cake was elegant and simply decorated to my daughter’s exact specifications. Each tier was moist and delicately flavorful. We enjoyed sampling many varieties in advance of placing our order, and it was difficult to choose. All were wonderful, and the process of ordering was easy, efficient and professional.

I have visited Angelina’s bakery a few times now and have had wonderful experiences each time. The customer service is always friendly and attentive and ready to answer any and all questions regarding their wide selection of treats. I recently special ordered a birthday raspberry mousse marble cake and it exceeded all expectations! I was beyond happy with how beautiful and delicious it turned out. My favorite pastry is the Napoleon, so try it if you can. I highly recommend and will make this a regular spot for my sweet tooth.

Great service! I was able to order a fully custom small cake fairly last minute, within 4-5 hours. They accommodated me and the cake was delicious! We had a chocolate cake with fresh strawberry filling, vanilla cream filling, and chocolate whipped cream. It was all delicious and excellent service!

I’m visiting Carmel by the Sea and I just picked up some of Angelinas pastries at Neilson Brothers Market and I just wanted to say that the New York Blueberry Crumb Cake is literally the best treat I have had in a while!!!! Bought a custom cake for my grandson's birthday party. Called the store then sent an email with specifics of what I am looking for, leaving it up to them regarding some details. The cake was produced on time, amazingly gorgeous (in the image of the board game, Ticket To Ride) and very tasty. Their products are second to none, amazing! The only issue was communication. It took 1 email and 5 phone calls over two days to get to the right person. Their method of taking custom orders really doesn't work. But once I got to Obe (spelling?), he was AMAZING. I highly recommend this business!

The detail was so spot on that my husband actually believed it was a cherry pie. Lol..He hates cherry pie, but was a trooper and said he couldn’t wait to eat it. He was surprised and relieved when they brought out cake slices. He absolutely loved it!! And so did the rest of the family. The staff were warm, friendly and very accommodating. The design was perfect and the cake was delicious! I will definitely be back again and would 100% recommend to friends and family. PS.. The poop emoji on the cake was a work joke… had to be added!

Ordered a birthday cake for the first time here and it was amazing.. exactly what I asked for, even tho it was a bit silly. And the cake itself tasted amazing! White cake with fruit mix. It was delicious. You can actually taste the cake and it wasn't too sweet..we couldn't stop eating it. Customer service was great..they made sure I left satisfied with the finished product. I got asked at least three times if I was being helped. The place is cute. They coffee, food, and pastries.. I'd love to go back and check out some of their breakfast items! Highly recommend. It was worth the drive for the cake.

I popped in to Angelina's for the first time the other day to pick up a variety of pastries for a birthday celebration. I got the raisin cinnamon roll, bear claw, almond croissant, and an apricot pastry. The cinnamon roll was the best I've ever had, I couldn't believe it. The apricot pastry was also incredible too. The shop was cute, clean and felt family-owned and oriented. The staff was friendly and helpful as well.

For my parents 50th wedding anniversary I wanted to gift them a replica cake from their wedding. My mom used to work in a bakery and knows when a bakery cuts corners. Unfortunately we are not from the area and had rented a home for their celebration and needed to find a quality bakery that had the talent to recreate the cake from 50 years prior. Angelina’s Bakery was quick to respond, had wonderful reviews and reasonably priced. The cake was ready when we needed it to be, looked like their cake from prior and best of all tasted incredible. I highly recommend them, especially if you have a unique request as we did.

A really great spot for lunch and some sweet treats! Easy parking right out front, plus a few lot spots, great variety, and the best potato salad of your life. Really good iced chai latte too!

Angelina's is bar none the best bakery in the Monterey region. Their pastries are made with love and attention to detail. They use fresh fruit with honest construction staying truthful to the basics. And most of all, completely reasonable price - coming frm the Bay Area, you'll feel that it's even cheap. If nothing, try their Danish pastries. They will blow your mind.

The most delicious, moist, and melt in your mouth marbled cake I’ve ever had! I came to Angelina’s to get a ready to purchase cake from the display case and I was beyond impressed! Usually, you expect the ready to purchase ones to be less than the personally ordered ones. However, I had ordered one for my oldest last time (which was also delicious), but I didn’t have time to pre order this time so I got one already made. The young woman that was writing down on a notepad was gracious enough to write on the cake for me, and I was checked out immediately. Everyone at this bakery is excellent! The cake was also not that much more than any other chain bought store, but it was a thousand times more delicious! The chocolate ganache was glossy, and rich with flavor. The filling was a light, whipped buttercream that had a hint of cherry to it. Absolutely delicious with the fluffy marbled cake crumb! My son and rest of our family were definitely beyond satisfied with our cake. Definitely, give Angelina’s a shot with either custom orders, or their ready to purchase from their case!

Ordered a birthday cake for the first time here and it was amazing.. exactly what I asked for, even tho it was a bit silly. And the cake itself tasted amazing! White cake with fruit mix. It was delicious. You can actually taste the cake and it wasn't too sweet..we couldn't stop eating it. Customer service was great..they made sure I left satisfied with the finished product. I got asked at least three times if I was being helped. The place is cute. They coffee, food, and pastries.. I'd love to go back and check out some of their breakfast items! Highly recommend. It was worth the drive for the cake.

I popped in to Angelina's for the first time the other day to pick up a variety of pastries for a birthday celebration. I got the raisin cinnamon roll, bear claw, almond croissant, and an apricot pastry. The cinnamon roll was the best I've ever had, I couldn't believe it. The apricot pastry was also incredible too. The shop was cute, clean and felt family-owned and oriented. The staff was friendly and helpful as well.

For my parents 50th wedding anniversary I wanted to gift them a replica cake from their wedding. My mom used to work in a bakery and knows when a bakery cuts corners. Unfortunately we are not from the area and had rented a home for their celebration and needed to find a quality bakery that had the talent to recreate the cake from 50 years prior. Angelina’s Bakery was quick to respond, had wonderful reviews and reasonably priced. The cake was ready when we needed it to be, looked like their cake from prior and best of all tasted incredible. I highly recommend them, especially if you have a unique request as we did.

Angelina's is bar none the best bakery in the Monterey region. Their pastries are made with love and attention to detail. They use fresh fruit with honest construction staying truthful to the basics. And most of all, completely reasonable price - coming frm the Bay Area, you'll feel that it's even cheap. If nothing, try their Danish pastries. They will blow your mind.

The most delicious, moist, and melt in your mouth marbled cake I’ve ever had! I came to Angelina’s to get a ready to purchase cake from the display case and I was beyond impressed! Usually, you expect the ready to purchase ones to be less than the personally ordered ones. However, I had ordered one for my oldest last time (which was also delicious), but I didn’t have time to pre order this time so I got one already made. The young woman that was writing down on a notepad was gracious enough to write on the cake for me, and I was checked out immediately. Everyone at this bakery is excellent! The cake was also not that much more than any other chain bought store, but it was a thousand times more delicious! The chocolate ganache was glossy, and rich with flavor. The filling was a light, whipped buttercream that had a hint of cherry to it. Absolutely delicious with the fluffy marbled cake crumb! My son and rest of our family were definitely beyond satisfied with our cake. Definitely, give Angelina’s a shot with either custom orders, or their ready to purchase from their case!

Bought a custom cake for my grandson's birthday party. Called the store then sent an email with specifics of what I am looking for, leaving it up to them regarding some details. The cake was produced on time, amazingly gorgeous (in the image of the board game, Ticket To Ride) and very tasty. Their products are second to none, amazing! The only issue was communication. It took 1 email and 5 phone calls over two days to get to the right person. Their method of taking custom orders really doesn't work. But once I got to Obe (spelling?), he was AMAZING. I highly recommend this business!

My husband raved about the perfect lemon flavor (not too faint, not too over powering) the fluffiness of the cake, and the perfect sweetness of the frosting. It was absolutely amazing. Angelina’s was highly recommended by our neighbor and it surely did not disappoint. Ordering was quick and easy online and it was ready right on time! Everyone was so kind and so welcoming, I didn’t feel like just another customer it was kind and personal. I’m looking extra forward to my birthday because I know my husband will get my cake from here! It’s also the perfect bakery to bring a stroller into if you have a velcro baby like I do! Angelina’s really made my husband’s birthday so so special.

Absolutely beautiful place. Their cakes and cookies are wonderful. Customer service was super friendly. Several customers but enough room for everyone to sit comfortably. Highly recommended.

So my experience with this little bakery starts a year ago when me and my wife were shopping around to find the right bakery to get our wedding cake from. We went here and were greeted with nothing but hospitality and sincerity from the get go, we tried several different options for flavors and it was such a difficult choice because all were fantastic. We finally made our choice and decided to stick with this bakery. Fast forward a year, they went above and beyond to help make our event perfect, they decorated the cake to perfection and delivered it to our venue (I think they even did it on their off day which was so kind of them). From the tasting a year ago to the final product, every single bite was moist, rich, savory, sweet, and an overall adventure on the palette that you simply can’t find from any old store bought cake. Thank you for helping make an amazing wedding day! P.s. you must try their tres leches cake, no exaggeration when I say it was legitimately the best I’ve had in my entire life.

Great coffee. Terrible croissants. Paid $5.50 each on a Friday morning for dried out croissants that appear to be from Costco. Good coffee though.

Bought some sugar cookies that tasted like they had been left out for a week. Bought breakfast items (an omlette and breakfast sando) that were tasteless and bland. Mochas tasted like pure chocolate syrup... not very good. Staff was friendly but impatient - made us feel unneccessarily hurried and pressured to "get in, get out"... even though the place was nearly empty. Not sure what the hype is about or why it has so many stars.

The staff is extremely friendly while not being overly chatty. I didn't try the food but the bear claw had too much sweet filling and the dough quality was less than great. Would not recommend having these again.

Food decidedly average, fairly low effort I thought. Service was cheerful and efficient. Nice lunch spot. Bright, clean. Plenty of menu options. Ordered espresso based drink, sandwich to have there and a few pastries to go. Nothing stood out. I got the feeling their wedding/event cake business is what they focus on.

Not fresh, at least a day old? I got the chocolatey fudge cake (don’t remember the exact name) and a peanut butter cookie. I asked if the cookie was baked today, and the server seemed to hesitate then said yes. After getting the hard cookie, I realize she probably wasn’t telling the truth—either that or their cookies are old-tasting from the start? Perhaps a better question would be whether they are soft. The fudge chocolate cake seemed at least a day old too, so maybe Tuesday is not a good day to go? Either way, both the cookie and cake were super sugary, and the cookie didn’t taste like it actually had much peanut butter. I prefer richer and slightly less sugary baked goods, so maybe it’s just not the bakery for folks like me.

The worst service , the owner was not friendly at all, we asked for a cake and we specifically said what we wanted and he gave us a plain cake with no colors... and paid 200$ for that, what a disgrace to his legacy , they should honestly stop doing Pastery there because they don’t put the time and dedication to it

They forgot to deliver my mother’s birthday cake to the restaurant. I spent most of the dinner excusing myself from the table trying to figure out where it was and calling the bakery. I never received any call or apology until I had to call them the next morning. Kim’s excuse was that “mistakes happen and they simply forgot”. They do happen but this was a pretty big one. The manager finally called himself and apologized for what happened and delivered it to the hotel the next day. He was a lot more understanding and apologetic than Kim but it was a very unfortunate situation and I wish he would have dealt with this mistake from the beginning.

I was excited to try this place for the first time due to all the raving reviews online. Unfortunately the carrot cake was lacking in flavor, crumbly bread and not moist at all, how a carrot cake should be. The price for the size is outrageous. We won’t be back.

I don't normally post reviews but this requires a comment. I have been eating the single Heavenly pies for the last year and they have been wonderful. Usually 2 or 3 a week, they were that good. I just bought a cherry pie at Bi-Rite deli and was so disappointed. The pie was about half the size of prior pies. And still the same price!! By putting it in a much smaller foil tin it was pretty much all crust and not much filling. They ruined a spectacular and delicious dessert. If they don't change back I won't be getting anymore. It's too bad.
