Gourmet seafood. I've rarely tasted fish, seafood, and shellfish of such quality. The chef's skill in preparing them is a 5th-star bonus. Both raw and cooked, they're unsurpassed in quality. The pastries are also excellent. Reservations are recommended. The view of the Ticino River before or after your meal is breathtaking.

Eating sea fish (raw or cooked) on the lake is an experience that you can afford at the "Biscia" in Sesto Calende ‼️ all the appetizers and a truly refined dessert and you will be truly full. Excellent choice of wines also with fine Sicilian ones‼️ The price is clearly adequate for what you will be served. Very attentive staff.

Pasta a le vongole was delicious, they put "tartufo" shells as well inside - they were insanely tasty ! Very big shells , they say this type of shells could be eaten Even raw . Piatta fritta was tasty as well!

Ottimo pranzo. Un ristorante "fermo"agli anni 80, sembra di fare un viaggio nel tempo, sia come menù che come location. Prezzo adeguati per i piatti ed il servizio proposto. Locale frequentato al 90% da cilenti abitue, questo potrebbe creare qualche disagio se non si è abituato ad ambienti del genere.

Ottimo ristorante. Risotto alla milanese con ossobuco delizioso. Carne si scioglieva in bocca. Pesche di monate una chicca locale da provare. Valida lista vini.

Sono stata in questo ristorante 4 volte .. devo confermare che il pesce è ottimo..il mio pensiero è che punti soprattutto sulla qualità pochi ingredienti ma tutti eccellenti..ottimo anche il vino..non punta sicuramente su inpiattamento particolare..piatti presentati in maniera molto semplice però davvero tutto buono..il locale è carino e piacevole e ti senti a tuo agio..lo consiglio e ci tornerò sicuramente

Locale piuttosto storico a Sesto Calende, lo so evince dal suo stile retrò/vintage (forse qualche sedia avrebbe bisogno di un ritocchino o di essere sostituita). Si viene accolti da un personale elegante, gentile e molto preparato. Anche il menu è vecchio stile ma ci sono delle varianti in base alla stagione e, specialmente, al pescato del giorno. I piatti che abbiamo scelto sono stati ben fatti e molto saporiti (abbiamo optato per il pescato del giorno), anche i dolci davvero niente male; si anche nei piatti lo stile che il ristorante ha. Il conto è un po' più alto della media, forse eccessivo per quello che abbiamo preso nel complesso.

Prima volta che mi reco in questo rinomato ristorante e credo L ultima .abbiamo ordinato piatti diversi .pesce davvero ottimo dal crudo al fritto .al dolce .iIl .servizio e pessimo ma non per i camerieri alquanto gentilii. Il problema e il titolare che ti mette fretta e fin da quando ci siamo seduti ha creato una pessima atmosfera .imbarazzante .tanta fretta nella ordinare e poi 4o minutt di attesa per la prima portata .non so perché faccia così ma non e un atteggiamento adeguato.

Let me start by saying we had high expectations, having tried to book several times without success. Dinner with friends, we immediately noticed the inattentive service and the (we believe) somewhat noisy manager! We ordered appetizers: Octopus with potatoes; mixed sea fish tartare and minced meat. He brought the two tartare dishes to the table, describing them as red snapper tartare, amberjack tartare, and a third fish (I don't remember the name). In reality, they were two red snapper tartares: one seasoned with lime peel and juice, and the other without any seasoning! The minced meat: served in squares, without any seasoning, and very thickly sliced. We asked for a mustard sauce to give it some flavor... he brought a jar to the table that he claimed was a special sauce (which we later found for €4.90). The octopus was edible, although a little tough! We seasoned the various dishes ourselves, with oil and salt. But the best part is the second course. We order two risottos with perch, Genoese-style amberjack, and the manager, while praising his friend who had ordered a meat appetizer, suggests their excellent roast served with potatoes. A few minutes later, the manager returns to tell us that the perch is out and suggests replacing it with pike-perch. We accept! All the dishes are excessively drowned in butter, and the meat dish, in addition to the woody roast, includes a charred carrot and pear, all inedible! I'm posting the photos, which I think speak for themselves! The manager, noticing our barely touched dishes, asks us why, but before he can even finish his sentence, leaves the table! We, astonished, ask for the bill and avoid ordering anything else, not even coffee. The waiter "throws" the bill on the table, and we realize it only includes the appetizers and drinks, nothing else, not even the cover charge! This is why I'm giving it 2 stars, but, believe me, Mr. Manager, you would have made a better impression if you had brought the bill to the table!

Very rude and antisocial owner. I never in my life encountered such an ungrateful person. Stay away from this place because with this mentality they do not deserve any customers. Food is mediocre at best and prices are too high.

85 euro each person for a mediocre dinner it’s definitely expensive. Additionally, the waitress behavior is not professional. I don’t suggest this restaurant!
