My favorite taco shop hands down. The food was hot fresh and delicious. Fast and friendly service. The dining room was spotless. If you are in the shafter area give them a try you won't regret it.

5 star spot for sure. Bomb tacos (yellow tortillas!) and exceptional service. My first time eating here, I only had some tacos and an agua de Piña but it was delicious! Will definitely be eating here again, don't miss out!!!!

I work in Shafter, and occasionally treat myself to El Duran tacos...Best in kern county by far. Worth the drive from Bakersfield. They put a good portion of asada, the guacamole is always delicious...keep it up!

My boy and I did a mini taco crawl. We compared three different spots in Shafter. In our opinion, this place ranked higher for taste, price, and timing. The tacos here had good flavor, and the agua de piña was delicious. We will be going back soon.

O my goodness! Super delicious carne asada! They prepared me a salad bowl with carne asada and was outstanding! The best carne asada in a long time. No fat in it! Condiment was soft and very tasty. I love the salsas too! Will stop again every time I travel that way!

Ate there twice while working in shafter. I grew up next to Mexicali border in imperial valley which I'm my opinion has some of the best Mexican food around. Grew up on hard shell taquitos and hard shell shredded beef tacos with good shredded beef ( not ground beef) fresh lettuce fresh grated cheese guacamole and fresh salsa this place reminds me of being home. Great food,simple menu and always fresh. People giving it 1 star are trippin place is great. Most other establishments only offer small street style tacos which I also enjoy but love good crispy hardshell tacos and taquitos way more and this place has the best by far in Kern county wish it was in Bakersfield if so ide be there a few x a week for sure. Definitely worth trying

Gonna be my new go to whenever I have to work out in Shafter. Got an asada burrito with guacamole and pico, and it was delicious. I could come back just for the guacamole. The guac here is super fresh. They use really perfectly ripe avocados, and the prices really weren’t that bad.

Extremely nice experience. Food was fresh and delicious, well portioned and adequately priced. Staff could not have been more friendly and/or helpful. Stopped in as it was close to the courthouse while I was on jury duty and look forward to coming back again

Every dish we’ve ordered has been delicious! When a dish calls for guacamole, it’s a generous fresh serving. Our kid alike their breakfast and bean burritos. We’ve tried it all from taquitos, to fajitas, and the menudo. Even the Pepsi is good on their crushed ice. It’s peaceful in there and clean! Friendly owners! They make the same food as Rocy’s.

Great food. Nice facility too. Parking lot is oddly crammed, and the CASH ONLY policy will make me not go there as much as I want to. I'm sure they'll change that eventually. I posted a picture of the menu because places like this make it hard to find that online. Support Shafter and check it out.

Carne asada meat was good. Quesabirria are good too. But i found a hair in my taco 😳😔Didn't got double tortilla in my tacos like in the picture they have. And had to go get cash. The lady helping us was really nice.

Food was above average. I had 3 taco combo. Rice & beans were a little too salty for me, but the buche, cabeza, & carnitas tacos were excellent! However, beware what they charge you. I got charged 99 cents for a Styrofoam cup of tap water. My friend ordered the asada burrito which was a $9.99 special with a $3 drink & was charged over $19?!? When he asked about the charges he was told that he actually got the "other" asada burrito. But there was no other asada burrito listed anywhere on the menu.

Burrito was OK tacos were fine but the $20 quesadilla I couldn’t even eat because it was so wet and soggy. It slipped out of the container with the consistency closer to quesadilla soup! Never again folks save your money!
