Came here on my own, they treated me with respect and grace and when I said I just wanted to chill and have a drink first they totally understood. They were very very attentive and if something wasn't on the menu they gave an alternative option which did not disappoint. I wanted the calamari but they had run out, so the lovely lady recommended the Truffle Archari balls, and they were very hot, freshly cooked and they tasted amazing 👏 I then had the mortzella, tomato and bazil wood fired pizza and it was amazing and not so filling as it looks 😋

I had a spontaneous dinner for one at Cecconi’s Shoreditch and I was blown away by the super friendly staff and the high quality food. The beef tartare was amazing, tender and flavorful, and the pizza margarita was delicious, with a thin and crispy crust and fresh toppings. The atmosphere was cozy and elegant, and the service was attentive and professional. I highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a great Italian meal in a chic setting.

Very cool and chill atmosphere, the waiters are nice, service is good and the food is also very good and very tasty at least for the pizza !! When we went it has like a concert of some bossa nova, it’s was divine ! Prices are correct for the taste and the service and it was fast !! So I do recommend you to try this restaurant - Bar !! Between friends or alone I’m sure you’ll have a blast ! For sure I’ll get back ! The atmosphere is nice and the decors it’s quitte nice

We found this place for our first brekkie in London and I highly recommend it. A simple menu with enough choice to suit most people and very good coffee. The service is friendly and the atmosphere is cosy and modern. There’s plenty of seating too.

Went for dinner! Nice dim-lit place with modern but classy interior. Loved the spicy margarita pizza.

39 of us headed to Cecconi’s for our work Christmas party lunch in their private room, and it was the perfect space. The table setup was beautiful, and having a cloakroom was a great touch. Stephen and the team were fantastic - attentive and professional throughout. We loved the set sharing menu, which gave us the chance to try so many different dishes. The combination of privacy, beautiful aesthetics, excellent service, and delicious food made our celebration truly special. Highly recommend booking their private room!

Amazing service by Archie, makes a beautifully balanced cocktail, from the filthiest gin martini to a delicious twist on a white negroni he can do it all! The genius to put such a genuine and charismatic gentleman behind the bar with such a passionate knowledge of cocktails makes every night at Cecconi’s special. Thank you again Archie, I wouldn’t have drowned my sorrows without you ;) .

Amazing surprise! I had a fantastic food and I would say the best tuna tartare in London. Very well presented. The staff beyond so friendly are very helpful and polite. Nice decor, cozy space and they have live music, but unfortunately I was leaving when they arrived. I will go back for sure. Highly recommend. It’s very affordable prices too.

Can’t fault the food. My lobster pasta was delicious. I was surprised that it was plated in such a simple way, nothing fancy but what matters more is the taste and this exceeded my expectations. I also really enjoyed other foods including the ricotta and honey starter, which was creamy and perfect. Their bread was soft and I wanted more.

In this characteristic street we wanted to try the cuisine of this Italian restaurant and we were very satisfied. We tried a bit of everything from appetizers to desserts and we loved it, quality food with authentic flavors. Very kind staff who also speak Italian. Highly recommended.

Last week I proposed to my girlfriend and decided to come to Cecconis 's as it was one of our first dates before we went home for me to pop the question I let the staff know in advance and we were so well taken care of and the few requests I made were all delivered and made my girlfriend feel so special. Our waiter Francisco was an absolute star! Thank you so much to him and the team for making a special night that much more special. We will be back very soon for a celebration dinner. She said yes by the way

Wow! We had a fantastic meal here on New Year’s Eve. Unfortunately we were late due to train cancellations but the restaurant staff were so accommodating. Service here was outstanding and the food was delicious. Highly recommend!

Absolutely in love with this place, they really made my birthday meal feel very special with the little touches they added! Always a pleasure to visit ❤️ the bread and the meatballs are to die for especially! Cocktails and location amazing too. Nothing not to love about it, plus the staff is super attentive and helpful! Always recommend ✨

Amazing starters and pasta! I ordered the truffle arancini and duck ragu papardelle and both tasted great! Not too greasy like a lot of Italian places in London. The restaurant was also surprisingly big with a lot of seats.

The food and the service was great, we had the lobster pasta which was very tasty and fresh, I had the Napoli pizza which was pretty good and the brick chicken which was fresh and tasty too, our waiter Archie was also great and upbeat which made the service on point too. I was shocked to see their prices were had 3 mains a see bass carpaccio, dessert and a cocktail for £130 which is a bargain for the food quality here

Perfect place for a catch up with a friend in a very relaxed and laid back atmosphere. Staff were professional and polite (our waitress could have smiled a bit more). We arrived on time for our reservation and were shown to our table. The restaurant was full, but tables were well spaced out. We started with Burratta, Truffle Arancini and Zuchinni Fritti. For mains we had the Truffle Pizza and Veal Milanese. For dessert we had Profiteroles and the Chocolate Fondant (waitress could have warned us of the 15m preparation time). Food was on point, was served in a timely manner, cutlery was taken and replaced after every course. Price wise this restaurant is on the heavier side, but its worth the money!

What an amazing place! We got there by accident, we were passing by and the restaurant looked lovely from the outside and was very cozy inside. The staff were friendly and gave us a table even though we did not have a reservation. The food we had was simply gorgeous! I had a pizza for mains which was delicious, baked to perfection with an ideal balance between toppings and thickness of the base. There was simply nothing to fault! They have cold and refreshing Moretti from tap which I thoroughly enjoyed as well. One of the best Italian places I have been to. I since found out that the have another restaurant near bank station, I will visit it very soon indeed!

Staff are lovely very attentive. Absolutely love my black truffle pizza, the smell of truffle is beautiful, along with rich mushrooms. Yum! Just hoping the homemade tiramisu could be more boozy 😉

Food was amazing. Service was a bit slow but it we had an 8pm reservation so the restaurant was packed. Be sure to make a reso ahead of time if you really wanna go. I ordered the spicy salami pizza and it was delicious. The spice was in-assuming... after a couple bites, I got a bit of a kick and it was excellent. The picante de la casa drink was great and the tiramisu was light and wonderful. Highly recommend going.

I‘VE CELEBRATED TWO OF MY BIRTHDAYS HERE AND THEY‘VE BEEN THE BEST 🥰 Oh dear Cecconi‘s, where do I start: I bloody like you. I‘ve spent so many nights here celebrating my birthday, friendships, relationships, career changes and much more. Cecconi‘s in Shoreditch will always hold a special place in my heart because a Saturday night at Cecconi‘s is my definition of life quality. Staff are amazing and always make me feel as if I‘m home. The food is so authentic that when I went to Rome I realized I didn‘t have to go to Italy to find authentic Italian food. Authentic Italian food was right near my house 🤩 Some of my fav dishes; please note that the menu changes regularly: • Bolognese • Fried Zucchini • All‘Amatriciana • Whipped Ricotta with Truffle Honey • Lobster spaghetti • Truffle pizza • Espresso Martini

Exceeded all expectations! Relaxed but stylish vibe. Fab breakfast menu with a couple of mimosa🥂. Elegant experience but with a local ambience. Staff amazing and endorse this and for sure service with a smile and stunning food. Highly recommend ❤️

Had a fantastic meal at Cecconi’s Shoreditch. Our waiter Francesco was excellent, friendly, knowledgeable, and gave great recommendations (even letting us try the wine before choosing). The food was delicious and well portioned, with the Duck Ragu Pappardelle being a standout. Highly recommend!

This restaurant is unassuming on the outside, given its location, but totally buzzing. Loved the Truffle, Pasta was a tad too much and not as memorable but we sat at the bar and the bartenders were such a delight. Super cheerful and pretty efficient. I’ll go again for the truffles.

Nice Italian spot just off of Red Church street in Shoreditch. The interior is well decorated, and a vibey spot for drinks. Pizzas were a 6/10 but the overall atmosphere of the restaurant made it worth the visit.

Decent food although nothing special. Mussels were cooked with a lot of bacon and butter, the flavour of which overtakes the mussels. Prawns didn't taste much. The raw materials used seems of mediocre quality. Quiet environment. Attentive staff.

This is a great date night restaurant. More third date than first date but either way good. Part of the Soho House group, it really has that feel in style and ambience. It has a classic Italian restaurant feel- tiles and low lighting. The menu is traditional but decent- I loved the lobster spaghetti and the duck tortellini was gorgeous. Anyone who follows my reviews (I know nobody does) will know I judge a restaurant heavily on its side salad, and the side salad here is very good- a mix of different vegetables including avocado, and well seasoned without being too over dressed. Nothing extra special but definitely a good meal, in a vibrant part of town.

You step into a 1950's movie scene nice restaurant. It's really nice inside, They could dial the the music a tiny bit as I could hear a tiny glimpse but it needed a little more to just fill the background (calm piano/solo instrument instrumentals to fit the setting). The best thing about this place was the service. They made sure you're taken care of. I ordered: 1x Sparkling water 2x soft drinks (7/10 - but overprised - standard London expense) 4x starters - Chilli Calamari 6/10 - Good, standard dish - Truffle arancini 9/10 - Their winner of the day - Ricotta w/honey & chilli 7/10 - very surprising textures. - Focaccia 6/10 - It was made a minute ago, so you know. 1x Main - Crab linguine - Wasn't a fan, I think it was just my favour profiles (more of a taste thing). I just felt like I could have done a better job with it all so I was let down with this dish. 3.5/10 Still eatable but next time I'll be getting something else. What I loved is that there were 3x check backs from individual staff members. I had expressed that I didn't enjoy the main and they were super courteous and went above and beyond to ask if they could exchange it which meant more than anything. I said no as I was full and when I was billed they kindly reduced the price of the main dish which wasn't needed but again, they take care of you - They have good morals and principles and that's why I'd be returning. + the lemon for the calamari and a cute cheese cloth on it which I thought was smart. £87 reduced by £10ish to £76 (which isn't too bad for 2 people for nice dining in London - bit on the costly end but you're paying for the ambience and the service which I can't fault) Overall a 7.5/10 experience.

A lovely spot tucked away off the busy Shoreditch streets. Staff were friendly, helpful and attentive the decor was a nice upscale casual and the food was delicious. That Focaccia they give you is 1000/10 so be warned so you don't fill up on it before your food arrives.

Lunch set is alright. But too many sands in the mussels. Otherwise all good.

This is the third Cecconi’s in London that I’ve visited - the other two being in Mayfair and The Ned (in The City). The main restaurant is a long, straight room, adjacent to a very attractive bar. The small area at the front is brightly lit and great for people watching in this trendy, narrow street. Interesting to see the Shoreditch ‘edge’ to the decor - with Charity shop ornaments in the front area (compared with the mirrors and smoked glass of the Mayfair branch). Food was good but not exceptional. Service was friendly and attentive. This was a lunchtime visit but would definitely return to try the main dining area for dinner.

Good quality food, tasty. Relatively small portions. We went on a sunday evening and close to half of the menu was not available anymore which somewhat limited our choices. Service was good though.

Great food tho we had sharing platters so can't speak to the full menu. Get the ice cream profiteroles if you can!!!

The place looks really nice from the inside, but it is noisy and very crowded. We went there as a group and ordered quite a lot of things, such as pastas, pizzas, starters, cocktails, wine, deserts. The food was rather average, nothing in particular to recommend, except maybe for zucchini and truffle pasta, they were alright. The service was bad, we ordered spicy salami and waited for a long time, then another pizza was brought, we said it wasn’t ours and we were told that they do not have spicy salami at the moment. The pizza that was brought as a substitute was also coldish and we were not asked if we would want a substitute. The white wine by glass wasn’t great either. After a first glass the waiter said that the wine I’ve had was out of stock as well and suggested gavi, which was very different and generally not quite good. All in all, we didn’t have high expectations anyway but were upset by both food and service. Also, we ordered one tiramisu and there were two of those in the check, the substitute pizza was not a compliment from the restaurant as well, nor there was any discount for it.

Unfortunately, it seems as though this restaurant’s strive to make its food LOOK as aesthetically pleasing as possible resulted in its flavours being subpar, akin to those of a university student trying to make their first meal away from home. My first dish made away from home certainly did better than this. Our waiter did bear with us whilst our party arrived at staggered times, which did take quite a while but his attentiveness did not falter. He made sure to top up our water throughout and ask if we had a preference to order drinks whilst we waited. There was a minimal wait before the starters arrived. The starters were pleasant, my party of 8 people opted to share the following: zucchini fritti with lemon aioli (which came with the calamari too), calamari, truffle arancini and focaccia with extra virgin olive oil. These starters were an enjoyable part of the anticipation of our main dishes. I ordered the black truffle tagliolini as I am a fan of anything and everything with truffle. To a hungry mind, anything can be described as revolutionaraliy delicious but the starters had already prepared me to make a nuanced decision about the quality of this dish. Perhaps al dente was taken too literally as the tagliolini was rather tough, still clumped together making for a bunch of stodgy mouthfuls of pasta. The word “drizzle” or “moderate serving” of truffle oil and butter could also be better explained to chefs in practice as not only my plate and pasta was drenched, but every mouthful would leave my mouth coated with abundant layers of oil. Truffle oil is delicious, but not when it is used in this manner. I did manage to finish the dish surprisingly, with a side of fries topped with truffle and a very minimal helping of parmesan - this was a far more enjoyable truffle dish. Oddly enough, Cecconi’s desserts proved better than their mains. The tiramisu posed delicious sponge fingers which a mellow mascarpone filling topped with cocoa, a thorough delight. Their cheesecake with a berry compote definitely impressed, the biscuit base retained a pleasant tough texture that was not too soft and crumbly nor too hard. The cream cheese and berry compote had a lovely, balanced sweet taste. The desserts saved the meal from being rated even lower. Perhaps it was high expectations as a Soho House restaurant and misleading pictures on the internet, but I do not think another visit is in my future plans. Name, titles, feigned aesthetics will only get you so far even with good service from staff.

Ambience: It was crowded and noisy, Sadly we also had a baby next to us screaming for a full hour. The interior is nice, but it feels like something is missing and it is a bit much of a tunnel feeling if you are sitting in the corner at the far end as we did. The Service Not good today, our waiter didn’t know the difference between vegan and vegetarian and we asked what the difference was between two dishes and even after asking the kitchen, she didnt get it right. Because both had the same cheese and she told us one of them was vegetarian and one was vegan. Food Classic Italian, nothing special. The parmigiana didn’t taste anything but fat. The spinach was good, but the chilis didn’t bring any heat. The broccoli was super tasty and the pizza was like an ordinary pizza. I had higher expectations of this place.

J
Jane Spadigam

The food was unfortunately not worth the hype - we only had 2 plates so we maybe ordered the wrong food. We had a 4 cheese pizza which was really good but the pasta was less attractive

A

Visited on a Monday night for a work event…not very busy but there were 20 of us. The mixed starters were received well and tasty, but the mains were a bit of a disaster. The crab and chilli linguine were all served with different portion sizes, luke warm and were not spicy at all. The desserts were nice but, again, the portion sizes differed quite significantly. Overall, pretty disappointing.

S
Selina Dwyer

The steak was very mid, potatoes were bland, and the crap pasta was not tasty at all. The pasta was cooked in shrimp sauce and was way too fishy even for a seafood pasta. Luckily the staff was lovely and we were able to swap the pasta for cacio e pepe. The cacio e pepe was also not the best but did the job. Would not recommend..

oceanne carlotti

I didn’t like the experience. The food was okay, but we didn’t have many choices since three items on the menu were unavailable. They also didn’t have eggs on a Sunday. I don’t recommend this address unless you’re specifically going for the arancini.

R
Renee Singh

Interior and ambiance of this restaurant is unmatched. You can dress up or stay smart casual - great for date night. However the starters were the best meal of the night... I had the crab pasta, feel like it was dump of spaghetti, with MICRO pieces of crab. Tasted like pasta boiled in sea water with 3 cherry tomatoes. Fettuccine would of been better suited here, but I guess that could be my personal preference. Absolutely would not recommend. The duck ragu was okay, feel like it was overloaded with meat, ragu didn't have much depth of flavour, and no parmesan cheese offered. Had a scoop of salted caramel gelato, and that was meh too. Our waitress was attentive at first, but felt as though the service was average and nothing to make the experience memorable. She also seemed to be multitasking a lot, obviously not her fault if its a busy restaurant, but more staff would help in these situations. I wish the food was better, otherwise wouldn't come back here.

Popped into Cecconi’s for a quick lunch date with my friend, as we always do when she has a short break — her studio’s just across the road. We had 45 minutes, so we sat outside and I went for the 3-course set menu. It wasn’t that busy, but service was a little slow. That said, our waiter was genuinely lovely, so no complaints there. The food, though, was disappointing. The prawns in the starter were cold, and the main — a spaghetti dish — was completely bland and lacked any real flavour. It honestly felt like a waste of a meal. We were running short on time, so ended up packing the dessert to go, but at that point I didn’t even feel like eating it. To be honest, I didn’t want to pay for that lunch at all. Definitely not the experience I was hoping for.

I last had breakfast here solo two years ago and it was lovely. Came again with my family for breakfast, weekday late morning. Very quiet. The venue is breathtaking, hasn't changed, but the food and service were very bad and I was embarrassed for having chosen the restaurant. We may have addressed it in person to the staff but no one ever came back around to our table after our breakfast arrived despite having mentioned to the server that I may order another drink when I finished my coffee. The egg with the half English was disgustingly overcooked. One drink never came. Had to flag someone down to pay after waiting quite a while. Lunch and dinner may be better but I would say don't go for breakfast. It's quite expensive for such a poor experience.

C
Cidel BW

The cacio e pepe pasta was not very good. The pasta was overcooked (not al dente), and most of the pasta was stuck together, making it hard to eat. And also they forgot to bring us our burrata after asking for it twice. Also, the service was extremely slow. We had been 1h30 in the restaurant and had only finished our appetizers; we left the restaurant 2h30 after we arrived because everything was so slow and there restaurant wasn’t even full.

daena murtagh

A truly infuriating experience. I counted 9 members of staff on shift and 6 tables of guests, largely two tops. We asked for ice with our water, twice and eventually had to go to the bar and wait for it. The first glass of prosecco I ordered, waited on the drinks pass for 8 mins at which point we fetched it ourselves. Nobody noticed. No one came to take our order, so we again, had to get up and approach a team member to take our food order. The food was mediocre at best. The bruschetta was a sundried tomato paste and 6 cherry tomatoes on a slice of toast. There was no garlic nor seasoning to be found. The spinach and ricotta ravioli was served in a butter sauce that had already congealed by the time it hit the table. The truffle arancici were fine but nothing special. There was no check in to see how the meal was. When presented with the bill there was a 13.5% service charge added, yet still no checking in to see how the experience was. We noticed party members from every other table have to approach the bar to request items/pay bills, as the appalling service stretched past our table and seemed to be par for the course. Shocking. Avoid. There are far too many fabulous places in London to enjoy and spend your money.
