Jessica & Yolanda were great. Jessica was very very patient and pleasant very while I placed my complicated order with all my special requests...never even raised an eyebrow. Yolanda served up everything with a smile that was present even though the mask. Food was cooked exactly as I had ordered...another plus. Food was delicious....so shout out to the cooks as well. Definitely going back.
It's always great food here. A lot of Baja Fresh places closing down. I'm glad this one is still around. The manager is on point here.
Their quesadillas are my favorite, I love eating it with the sour cream and then adding lime to the guac and eating the chips with it! I also like getting the rice and beans plate for the side. The service wasn't overly friendly, pretty nonchalant but definitely not rude so I'll take it haha
Conveniently located in West Simi Valley, this restaurant has good baja fresh style mexican food. Location was clean, no waiting to order food and cashier was pleasant. Adequate parking out front, and located in a smaller strip mall shopping area on Madera Ave and Royal Ave. Food was made to order and packaged to go. Their salsa bar was tidy and well stocked with salsas, cilantro, chilies and to go containers. Would return for other food purchases in the future.
I've been going here for years with great food and service, but the burrito I had tonight was the best they've ever made! Will definitely keep going and am glad they're so close to my house.
I always love Baja. Good fresh food. When I walk in they know I probably want my shrimp salad, and the nice cook asks me, "Camerones por ensalada?". That's how I know the work week is over
Easy to order online, they seem to be low on staff but they are working hard and getting food out. I go in to pick up in the evening and there's few if anyone eating inside. Good take out spot.
The restaurant is clean. Food is actually preety good. I recommend the fajitas. I also had th shrimp tacos which were very good. Their salsa bar is also clean and that is very goo specially in current covid situation.
Love this place! I think this is one of their better stores. I come at lunch and the food is always fresh and tasty. Today they were giving everyone bigger servings of chips with each order. Nice!!
There aren't many left in this area of Ventura county, and it's been a while since we last ate at one. This was just as good as the one in Moorpark we used to visit all the time.
Hadn't had Baja in years. Went with low expectation. It was just as tasty as ever. OMG how is this place not still packed like back in the days
Everything was good the place had a huge dining area, seems like the food prices have gone up here too... the price don't match the food portions
Baja fresh is healthy fast and great tasting...love their chicken, steak and shrimp too.

Generally speaking, Baja Fresh a awsome food! This location is no different. From the food that they prepare to the amazing salsa bar, everything was top-notch. Plus, they didn't laugh at my stupid jokes.
I finally made it here and could not believe how excellent the burritos are! You cannot go wrong here and they even brown the outside of the tortilla!! So good!!!
This is the best Baja Fresh! The people are very friendly and helpful, the food is fantastic and fresh. Whoever is running this location is really doing a great job. Hang on to your staff because they're the best, from the front counter to the back kitchen. We have another location closer but we come here.
I went to this location with my wife for dinner and the food was great! Made to order and full of flavor. There was plenty of places to sit and the parking lot was spacious with multiple handicap spots.
Can’t go wrong with the Baja burritos here. Burrito was fresh, chips were good, and plenty of drink options. The cashier was attentive and welcoming.
Got lunch here and it was fresh and fast. I got a Baja Burrito with chicken and side queso and both were amazing.
The Baja burrito is delicious. Great selection of salsas.
We had dinner here and the food was amazing. The cashiers had great service, Yolanda was a great help!
I was not expecting much from a chain restaurant but this really exceeded my expectations…twice! The salad and the fish tacos were both really fresh and tasty. I appreciate the amount of vegetarian and vegan options, too. Both times I’ve visited the person taking orders was really friendly. Will be back!

My first job was at Baja Fresh in Thousand Oaks almost 20 years ago. I still love the quality and taste of the food. I have been to this location a few times. Usually it's not busy. It's busy on Friday evenings apparently. I don't think there crew is used to it being busy. They all seem very flustered and unorganized. There are more people waiting for food then eating food. It might just be this particular combination of employees that is the problem. Food will still probably taste good when it finally is ready. It's been 25 minutes and I can tell they haven't started cooking it because it's enchilado style and the overhead oven is empty. I even ordered steak instead of shrimp in hopes to speed things along. Oh well. Not even half their tables are occupied. I wonder what would happen if they got a real rush.
Same great food that they've always had. This location always has available parking. They have ample seating inside but also have outdoor seating in a covered patio. This location always seems clean the service is adequate.
I always enjoy Baja Fresh especially the Baja burritos and tortilla salad. The salsa bar is great but miss the grilled green onion they used to include with the burritos
Good burritos, full of flavor. The roasted salsa is a must, can't get enough of it. Burrito Ultimo w/ checker with chicken is my go-to.
Not much to say. It's Baja fresh. Decent quality food when you want something quick, without the fast food yuckiness.
Pretty good food with a friendly and quick service. I would recommend this place to anyone.

Baja Fresh is a great spot for a quick, tasty meal. Their food is always fresh and flavorful, with a good selection of burritos, tacos, and salads. I love their grilled chicken burrito, which is packed with delicious, high-quality ingredients. The salsa bar is a nice touch, offering a variety of salsas to suit any taste. The staff is friendly, and the service is fast, making it perfect for a casual lunch or dinner. Overall, Baja Fresh consistently delivers on fresh, satisfying Mexican food.
I had a carnitas burrito. It was kind of hard to order cuz thier menu doesn't include plain rice and meat burrito. They found it hard to understand that all I wanted was the pork, then some rice and finally sour cream wrapped up in a tortilla. I told her I'd add the salsa myself as I ate it. Once she found away to take my order everything was fine. They seem to think they need to reinvent the burrito...if they made it my way they wouldnt know handle the amount of business they'd get.. but not my problem. Till then the carnitas was awesome and I really enjoyed my burrito..

Once a giant in the fresh Mexican food it has become less relevant today. Its good, but other more enlightened Mexican restaurants are better. Meats are dry, sauce is good and salsa is great. Get the "wet" options to add moisture and flavor.
At Baja Fresh the food is always consistent and good. Have been going to this one for several years and the staff always does a great job. Good job in cleanliness. The staff is competent and friendly.
The place was clean and the food was made fresh. However, even though we told the lady it was our first time there and asked for a minute we were rushed. Would not recommend eating here because it's just not good food either.
The burrito was packed full with rice, a few beans and a little chicken. Tasteless. Very disappointing. I won’t go back to Baja Fresh as they only care about maximizing profits by stuffing burritos with the cheapest ingredients.
They got my order wrong. But I called and told Hector he apologized and gave me credit for two more soft tacos. Even though my dinner was ruined. I appreciate the credit for two more tacos.
82 dollars for mediocre food. Very little creativity or flavor in this food. I could have gone to a sit down restaurant for the amount they charge. Very disappointed and will not be going back to Baja Fresh.
What happened guys? To give context, I’ve been coming here for years( about ten) and I would say if you wanted some healthy Tex mex, to come. The food used to be fresh , flavorful, clean, and delicious. Lately this place has been failing to live up to that previous standard. Yesterday I ordered a steak Baja burrito. My steak tasted old and my stomach got sick from it, the guacamole was bland. My wife ordered a chicken quesadilla and that was alright but the guacamole was still bland. The place looked dirty and messy. The mango salsa was thick and tasted more mango than salsa. It was very disappointing. Last time I was there my chicken was dry and more. It’s sad. This place used to be so good. Please put heart into your food. I want to support this establishment but if there’s no change I will not be coming back.
Have lived in SV for the past 35 years. Have been going to Baja Fresh since it opened, however, last night changed all that. Got there around 5:30pm, early, no one was in the place (bad sign) even thought it was early. Went to order and there were two people there, a young man and a women around 40/45 who we have seen before. The young man took our order and was having a problem with the order, I looked at the women and said, is he new and she said yes, I said could you help him. She hesitated to help him but pulled out a piece of paper reading off the new burrito that was a special but never acknowledging us. Then stormed off to the back. I asked my husband did you tip and he said no, not with this going on..Anyway, I got the Tostada w/chicken and my husband got the burrito. Poor choice on my part, little chicken and alot of pico dae gallo and lettuce, little beans. I usually get the Fajatias. Her attitude about helping the young man was pitiful and sad and the service and lack of meat was not acceptable. I think we need another place to get mexican food. Everyone experiences our first time, especially in over the counter experience which is a whole different experience, she could have helped him and ot make a scene.

It took 25 minutes for us to get a burrito. While we were waiting for the food, ALL (about 7) of the customers were complaining that it took a long time for the food to be ready and that the orders were wrong. What's worse is that the employees didn't care at all. A nice but very frustrated father asked for the manager and a female employee said that the manager wasn't there. DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE!!!
I am so sorry to share this, as me and my kids love Baja Fresh. My family and I got violently ill from eating here on Tues Jan 23rd. There are 5 people in my family and 4 ate Baja Fresh that evening and 4 hrs later the 4 of us whom ate Baja Fresh got violently ill. It lasted 36 hrs and almost killed my 80 yr old mother. All 4 of us thought we were going to die. I kept the food and stool samples thinking Baja Fresh would want to investigate. I called headquarters 5 times and 3 different people from the Franchise company told me it wasnt Baja Fresh that got us sick. They told me if I want I can take the samples to a private lab and use my own money. I am working with the Ventura County Health dept and they are assisting me in reaching a solution to this potentially fatal issue.
I ordered online for pickup. The online system charged my credit card. I show up at the store to pick up my order and the door is locked there is a sign on the front door that they are closed for maintenance (a little hard to read b/c curled on the sides). If they are going to close and lock their door, the least they could do is not accept orders and payment on the app. I am furious and my kids are disappointed and hungry. (Edited to add that I ‘ve since discovered per the Ventura County health department website that they were in violation of health codes and cannot reopen until resolved).
Im very disappointed in THIS Baja Fresh place and i dont recommend it (unless they get different chefs, that know how to cook) 3days ago i had the worst chicken burrito! it tasted and smelled bad.Tasted a mix of chicken and tripe or pork intestines! i couldnt finish it!
Ordered Chicken burrito but got NO chicken and the cheese isn’t even melted. Wasn’t even busy but they still screwed up my order. Baja used to be good but it’s NOT anymore.

They substituted pinto beans (which I hate ) for the black beans. No caramelized onions and skimpy on the avocado. Did I mention I hate pinto beans!
This establishment consistently gets orders wrong when I went in to talk about my order Yolanda was extremely rude and condescending she did not care to make anything right so I asked for a refund after her trying to get loud and be rude she ripped out a piece of paper that did not show a refund from her cash register and said she would process the refund a later time when her manager was there. Yolanda has consistently made going into this location a bad atmosphere and bad experience she has zero customer service skills and should not be dealing with customers untill she is trained on how to do so.
Dang, Baja Fresh used to be a no-brainer. The quality has gone down so much. I would have been better off eating a Tina's microwave burrito. How sad.
I don’t know what happened to the last manager, she was pleasant and helpful. This Baja Fresh turned horrible within the last few months. I have Cancer and am undergoing chemotherapy so I stop by when I cannot cook food. Now there’s a woman with a hole in her shirt that never looks up when I come to the register and when I get my food it’s burnt (Baja chicken burrito) and the vibe is all off. She’s horrible and although I love Baja Do Not Go Here! I always ask for an extra bag of chips and 10/10 times I’ve always had to ask again because she never listens. Horrible service.
