Avis sur Numero Uno Pizza Simi Valley
Nice lady, to the point, but super nice! Pizza is numero uno IE: number 1 or pretty darn good
I did not know the Numero Uno Pizza still existed. It had been over twenty plus years, and I could not tell you how excited I was when my wife and I were discussing dinner that we thought about how much we missed this place. We were searching and found this little gem that was not very convenient from where we lived but were willing to drive. We ordered the antipasto salad and Works pizza. They did not disappoint. It took me back to a time I had forgotten. We're so glad to have made the drive. It was a treat that we did not expect to have on a Thursday night. One thing I did notice was that the prices on my phone were much higher than when I went to my office workstation computer. Probably because a third party manages the phone site versus the regular website. So save yourself a few bucks and order in person, or if you have to order online, use your desktop.

We are new to Simi and were so happy to find a local Numero Uno Pizza. We've been multiple times to enjoy their deep dish pizza. The owner is very nice and and the pizza is fabulous. In fact were going back tonight.
Delicious pizza! Ordered some to share at work and was very pleasantly surprised. My boss kept talking them up so I honestly was skeptical he may have overhyped them, but no - their crust is super fluffy and buttery and keeps you craving more. Absolutely worth it, top ingredients!
It is very rare for me to give a five-star review, but this Numero Uno deserves it. I never considered getting anything but pizza in the past, but decided to try something different. I got the meatball sub, which was amazing. The bread was really fresh, meatballs were light, not dense, and really cheesy! I also recently tried the spaghetti with meat sauce, which was equally as good. I will definitely be ordering from them in the future!
I hadn’t ordered from here in awhile because the owner was unfriendly. I was really in the mood for their pizza so I took a chance. I was pleasantly surprised. I ordered online, the pizza was ready when I arrived and the owner was very nice. As always, the pizza was DELICIOUS!! Please don’t go by the reviews. Give them a try for yourself. We don’t want this place going out of business. It’s my favorite pizza!

Cool this about this place is that they take food stamps. Pizzas are definitely worth it, deep dish, cooked in cast iron pan. Sandwiches looked really good too. Only reason why I give them 4 stars is because the female owner that's there most of the time has her days when she wants to be nice & other times that she can be rude to you. But food is good & they take EBT

Pretty good. Almost as good as the Numero Uno of my youth that still is my favorite pizza on the planet and almost extinct. I’d say the pizza was on par, but something I can’t quite put my finger on was lacking. Close enough to satiate the craving once in a while. Customer service skills in the only lady working that night apparently were absolutely sub par. Not mean or intentionally rude, but very short and curt like she had a million things she’d rather be doing. On the phone I told her the kind and size of pie was wanted for pick up and she said “ok thank you good bye”. I quickly raised my voice to say “wait! I’m not done!” to complete the order. Demeanor about the same when I arrived. Maybe she was having a bad day or just doesn’t realize she’s coming off as rude. Important thing is that I got the Numero Uno thick crust I’ve been craving for months. And it was good enough to scratch the itch.

DISCRIMINATORY TACTICS (won’t serve based on looks or if you have full sleeved tattoos). TOLD THAT THEY DONT HAVE PIZZA. I just came back from being overseas and was craving pizza. I placed the order and received a text that the pizza was ready after 30 minutes. When I arrived the woman there was kicking back with her feet up and I asked her if I can pick up my order that I placed over the phone. She said that she never received any orders and that I and I the wrong place. She told me to go next door to the Mexican restaurant. I told her that I ordered pizza so a Mexican restaurant won’t have that. She said that they don’t have pizza and that I am confused and should go somewhere else. I have a lot of tattoos on me so I think she was just discriminating against me based on my looks. I went outside, checked the phone number, and address to make sure I went into the right place. I was at the correct place, but the woman would not serve me. I am severely jet lagged, but still went to another place for Pizza. Still trying to decide to go to Mod Pizza or Slice House on a Sunday at 8pm. DO NOT GO TO THIS NUMERO UNO BECAUSE THEY MAY REFUSE TO SERVE YOU BASED ON LOOKS.

The last time I had Numero Uno Pizza was about a month ago in Granada Hills. Before that about 20 years ago when I moved to Chicago from LA. I've always loved their Pizza. The Pizza in Granada Hills was great. We had a big salad to share also great. The Pizza had big half slices of of tomatoes all over it. The sausage also had big chunks all over it. The workers there, bent over backwards to give good fast courteous service. Then there was this, Numero Uno's I ordered from in Simi Valley on one of the S streets and East Los Angeles Boulevard in Simi. I called in the order by phone for pick up. It was closing at 9:00 pm or 10 pm. I got there about 10 minutes before closing. I asked I if i could sit down and have a piece or two of Pizza before I drove home? while it was still hot home and eat the rest of my meal at home. I lived about 4.5 miles away. She said no , we are closed. Even though it was eight minutes till closing time on my watch. No smile, no show of kindness. Just kind of a stare. I got home and opened up the Pizza and it looked different from the Uno's in Granada Hill. Then I realized the small tomatoes we not cut in half and placed abundantly over the whole Pizza. It was more like scrapes. The sausage the same the same tiny pieces. Some of the sausage looked liked it was scraped on with a putty knife or spatula. Very thin and infrequently placed. The taste was Ok. But the texture was different. Now, I know they were closing in a few minutes. But to just throw the Pizza together like that I was very disappointed. I won't go back to the Simi valley store. I'd rather drive back to the Granada Hills restaurant and be treated kindly and attenion paid to detail. It all in the presentation.
Where do I begin? First, in order to post my rating, I had to give them at least 1 star. If I could have given this place a -10 stars, that would still be too kind. I cannot remember the last time I left a bad review for any business, large or small, because, well, everyone has a bad day once in a while. Apparently I should have read the reviews before ordering and picking up my pizza from this establishment. NEVER AGAIN. The "woman" at the counter was as nasty as could be from the moment I walked in. I just don't understand why someone has to be so rude to people, especially when all I did was walk in the door! For the love of all that is good and Holy, pleeeeease don't own a "restaurant" and work with the public if you can't at least pretend to be a decent human being! Do yourself a favor and DO NOT SUPPORT THIS BUSINESS! They do not deserve to be a part of this great community.
I am not one to complain......ever, and have never written a bad review -- but feel compelled to do so now. I have been eating Numero Uno since I was a child in the San Fernando Valley. It has always been my favorite. I play darts in the valley and frequently order pizza from there and it is always delicious. When I became aware of a Numero Uno Pizza around the corner from where I live in Simi Valley on LA & Sequoia, I immediately ordered and was a little disappointed. Not the sweet crust I was accustomed to even though it was the "original" thick crust pizza, tomatoes did not taste the same, not much flavor. I read the reviews after my first experience, and found that others felt the same, and also that Zoila was what I would describe as rather curt. But I decided to give them another chance, and that day the pizza was much better and Zoila was very cordial. I have ordered several times since without incident. But today, I ordered a pizza for myself and my sister, and a roast beef sandwich for my ex, who no longer will eat the pizza because of his past experience with this location. He loved his sandwich, but to my dismay the pizza was horrible. Crust wasn't sweet and tomatoes were different. My sister called and very politely expressed our disappointment with the pizza while at the same time, complimenting the sandwich. We made a reasonable request to be credited for the pizza and she began yelling at my sister and was completely rude and disrespectful, and finally said if we had the entire pizza in tact, to return it for a refund. (How do we know if we don't like it if we didn't try it first) We had one piece each, so no refund. I don't even care about getting a refund, but the way we were treated was horrific. Sadly, for me, I will no longer be a customer of this Numereo Uno franchise.
If I could rate there pizza I would rate it a 5 star! The only reason I still come to this place is because my wife Loves the pizza. There service, and personally is very poor. Being a business owner you would think they would go the extra mile. I called in & ask if they had any specials. The lady over phone said they had specials on 2 pizza, but I'm not sure if that is what u want? I said 1 large she said $18 but I'll give u $2.00 off. I went to pick up & my total was $ 20.22 I ask what happened to the discount. The owner said thats only if your paying cash, do you have cash she ask? I said that was not mention. I was trying to speak to her and she kept interrupting. I understand we all have bad days but we have been coming here for years, it just always seems like its a bad day everyday. You know I had a few CHOICE words for her, but then decided to turn the other cheek. As a Christian I still Blessed her & said God will still bless you. We decided tonight no to go back any longer. There are plenty of other business in town that appreciate there customers.BTW I would have gladly paid $5 more. Tired of the Customer service, & attitude. Sad but...So long Numero uno.
Ordered a 20’ works pizza & antipasto salad. Received the wrong toppings on the pizza and a salad with more water than pepperoncinis and artichoke hearts. Called and spoke to manager John...he had such an attitude from the beginning it was disgusting! To pay $65 and be dissatisfied is awful, then to call and be dismissed and treated with disregard is bad business. Don’t bother...service & standards are way below average.
The women inside the ominous establishment located in the mysterious shopping center was a rude old lady with no regards for me and my friends need to get our pizza. She was disrespectful and failed at putting my card in the machine. She collected our personal information and I thought she was going to follow us home. She gives rude vibes and doesn’t know what’s going on. She doesn’t slay but it’s okay cuz the pizza slays. She’s not ominous nor cool.
Today’s my birthday and I wanted a special pizza called a pineapple barbecue chicken pizza. We used to get it when we lived in North Hollywood and it was out of this world. We ordered one time since we moved up to Simi. It did not compare. I called today to explain the difference between the two pizza places and the woman said “if you don’t like my pizza then just order it from North Hollywood”. All I was asking was if they could remove the oregano and the bell pepper. They have flat flags all over their website saying no substitutions no substitutions. What kind of pizza place allows no substitutions??? What a stinking rude person she was. Don’t go here.
These owners are unfriendly and cheap. They also do not use the correct amount of cheese on their pizza when I got it one time. They said they had to charge me a full price of a soda when I only wanted ice. I won't go here again and I think the franchise should see how they are skimping on ingredients. There's a Numero Uno in Granada Hills on Chatsworth close to the 118. The Granada Hills store is the best one I've been to by far, freshest pizza and lovely staff, even better than the one in Agoura too which isn't the cleanest. I cannot respond to the Simi owners reply. Figures what they are saying, just goes to show you. Bottom line, there's a trend here from multiple people doing reviews, making same comments about this location.....unfriendly and snotty, sometimes even very rude owners. I highly doubt the franchise uses this place for training.
We thought the review was overstated about the awful woman at the front counter who doesn't like you to dine in for pizza at the facility. We just tried to order pizza and it was a big pain in her butt so we left. The place seemed dirty as well. A big zero for us!
HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE!!! From the moment we walked in the old lady at the front counter was EXTREMELY RUDE!!! She seemed to be annoyed that we wanted to dine in. She came to take our order and just had an attitude! We ended up getting up and walking out. Never have we ever experienced such HORRIBLE SERVICE!!!
8$ for an extra topping on my XL pizza is horrifying. Add the lady who I spoke with and it was like a bad xp all around for she doesn't want to be there. I just wanted a pizza with a couple substitutions(which they apparently don't due) without spending an arm and a leg. She finally said she would change the topping subs for 4$ per topping. So for 8$ more I got the mushrooms and extra sauce.Total ripoff but I needed my uno fix. Sucks there is not another 1 for 10 miles in any direction. Assuming they will shutdown in the next year as she doesn't want to be there and its very obvious she doesn't care anymore. Hopefully she sells and new management who is caring can come in.🤞

The price for a pizza here are absolutely ridiculously high. I think I might have to take out a second on my house if I want to get a pizza here.

This is under the same management that the Numero Uno that used to be on Cochran next to Target. I love Numero Uno, but refuse to eat here due to their service. I walked into the old Numero Uno ready to order and they told me to "sit down because they were busy". I was the only customer there! I just walked out and never returned. I buy Numero Uno in the San Fernando Valley now. Don't these owner get a clue of how much business they are missing just because of their attitude and service? Unless they're just using the restaurant for money laundering.
