Stopped here on the way to Austin during a road trip. Service was extremely quick and attentive. Very tasteful and modern decorations. Food was good and well priced. Very happy
We were traveling through Snyder TX and ate at this cute MEXICAN restaurant for dinner. It will be our go-to restaurant when we are in Snyder, Texas again. The fajitas were delicious, the wait staff remarkable, and the homemade salsa a winner. We do strongly recommend this restaurant.
Fun, casual atmosphere. Our waitress was friendly, attentive, and quick! The chips and salsa, queso, steak quesadillas, and pastor tacos were all delicious! Plus the margaritas were absolutely perfect. Definitely will go back if I have the chance!
Great food and better service. It's definitely one of the best places to lunch in Snyder
In my opinion, some of the best Mexican food in the area (including Abilene). It started with the chips and salsa. The salsa had depth and was fresh. The chicken for the fajitas was well seasoned. The pico that came with the fajitas was well balanced and fresh. The fajitas came with HOMEMADE tortillas. Another plate was cheese enchiladas. The cheese filling was very tasty and the red enchilada sauce was very good. We also had beef tacos. My daughter really liked them. All the entrees came with refried black beans and the BEST Spanish rice I have eaten. We had to wait a little for our food but that was probably because they had only been open for a week. WE WILL GO BACK!!
I loved everything food was amazing. Our waitress was on top of everything even talked with our little boy. The atmosphere was very welcoming. I would highly recommend going.
Really good food! It is my favorite place to go in Snyder to eat! They have a meal with fish and rice and their queso is awesome… something Cancun. There is enough for two meals.
My sister lives in Snyder & took me to Cielo's for lunch. I ordered the Enchiladas De Creme (I believe that's what it's called). These were among the best Enchiladas I've ever had. The chicken was so flavorful & the cream sauce was delicious. If you don't like garlic, these may not be the best choice. My sister had the flautas, and she said they were delicious! Queso was amazing, as was the guacamole that was made to order at our table. Will definitely visit again when I'm in the area.
Consistently great food and friendly service; that's hard to find these days. My wife and I came here fairly often and it never disappointed. The take out option is great and convenient as well.
Food was really good. Kind of a fresher Mexican food. The Queso is awesome. Great drinks too! Not great keto choices--but you need a break every once in a while;)
Just got out of surgery and was going back to Lubbock. I wanted something to eat, saw this place and stopped in. It was awesome, well worth my time. Taste buds were happy. . I loved it. The service was perfect. I will go back again.
I LOVE THIS PLACE!! Go in about once a week!! Food is always delicious and a good time❤️
This place has the best food, always very satisfied!! Also, Jocelyn is one of the best employees, her attitude is amazing. Definitely will be passing by again next time I’m in town.
Just great! I sat at the bar, it wasn’t super busy but it started to. The servers were friendly. Food was fast and hot and very tasteful. I can’t say it was the best mex food I’ve ever had but it was reasonably price and was very good. The salsa and Queso in my top 10 all time best! I travel and eat all over the world and I look for the local spots the locals like. I hate chain restaurants if I can have a good local place. This is it. I’ll be back! Sat and watched the bar tender squeeze an entire bucket of fresh limes for the margaritas. It was great! Just ask for top-shelf tequila.
Best tasty food I’ve had in a long time!!!
The food was great and the service was outstanding! This was the first time we have eaten here. Wish we lived closer because this would definitely be our go to place!
No complaints...Awesome service, Great food. Thank you
Found this gem on the way to Dallas and so happy we did! The food so flavorful and definitely some of the best Mexican food that I have had! Great service too!!
Great food, had the flautas & they were good. Salsa is good too, enjoyed for first time. Will definitely be back
Always a pleasure here! And today, especially so. Came to the drive-through to grab a quick plate of Pollo poblano and got a surprise T-shirt! ☺️
The food was excellently prepared. The service was great.
Had a friend tell us about Cielo's she said the food is wonderful! We took a ride to Snyder to have lunch. She was so right, the food is top notch. Great service. Delicious! Ordered some guacamole, the gentleman comes to your table & makes it fresh with ingredients you prefer. Outstanding!! We will be back!
Arrived after a long day of travel. The chicken tortilla soup was excellent as were the perfectly-grilled shrimp on the taco salad!! Just what we needed after 9 hours in the car!
We are regulars here and always have a great experience! Love the drinks and the food! Jesus gave us great service!!!
We were simply passing through Snyder around lunch time. As vegetarians, it can be hard to find ANY restaurant in small-town Texas that can accommodate. Not only was Cielo's accommodating in both service and selection, the food was excellent! We had fantastic guacamole fresco, and a plate of poblano tacos--all extremely tasty! (...and as long-time Austinites, I feel like we are reasonably good judges of tacos and Tex-Mex.). Best wishes to the folks at Cielo's--keep up the good work, and I wish you great success!
Outstanding. Stopped because of all the cars and was not disappointed. Chickens & Steak fajitas were outstanding. Home made pico should be served in a bowl with a spoon and the salsa was especially good when some of their special HOT sauce was added. Can’t wait to come back!
A bit of a different take on Mexican food compared to other places in town, so it's a great way to change things up! Food is always good and comes out quick. Service is great too.
Food was very tasty. I was asked several times if I needed anything. The place was very peaceful. There was customers there, very polite and kind. Food ordered was served in minutes. In other words, trays were hot and were delivered in 5 minutes. I am from out of town and will go there again when passing through. Parking lot was clean.
Awesome restaurant with great decor and friendly staff. Food was excellent and drinks even better. Highly recommend to anyone passing through family friendly
Great Mexican food, the rice tastes like my grandma used to make. The food is good and staff is friendly. Food came out relatively fast for a Friday Night. The overall atmosphere is nice and very Mexican. Loved it.
Wonderful flavors, we are traveling thru Texas and wanted Mexican/ Tex Mex. We weren't disappointed. Service good and food delicious.
I wish we had taken photos to share our great experience at Cielo. The food is delicious, artistically presented, very creative and authentic. Chips and salsa are included and portions large enough that we needed to go boxes. Service is fast and friendly. If are ever in Snyder again it is guaranteed we will be there again. A winner!
Food was great. Server couldn't speak much English, but then it's more authentic I guess. Would recommend.
great little spot, passing through and needed to grab a bit. Food was amazing, it came out hot and quick. Salsa is amazing. I had the cheesteak burrito and it was the perfect mix of that taste of philly and the Mexican all together. will come here every time driving to the lease!
Alizay was our waitress, she was so sweet with helping us decide what to eat. She was also super fast and checked on us often. Will be coming back 💖
Anna was a great service! She always came asking if we needed anything & was friendly. We didn’t have cash/card and they accept Apple Pay which was a plus!! Their guacamole is delicious there!
Amazing food, Bollywood Burrito is a must try, staff is helpful, overall a place worth trying.
Good and affordable food with great service and a cozy atmosphere. Foods can be made vegetarian with minor adjustments, and the full bar serves up cocktails tailor made to everyone’s tastes.
Excellent Service. Excellent and Very Flavorful food.
This was a great little restaurant and an unexpected find. The atmosphere was nice and the service was good. I had the poblano tacos and they were excellent. I would definitely recommend Cielo if for some reason you find yourself visiting Snyder, TX.
This is a great place to eat with fast service! I highly recommend!
Lunch was delicious and hot. The staff was very nice and friendly. Thank you 😊
5 Stars! Wonderful! The special guacamole is an absolute must have. Great service, great food. Sorry no pics to share, we were starving and scarfed it all up. Highly recommend this restaurant.
I had steak fajitas and absolutely delicious the best I’ve had! So tender the quality is on point and the flavor is outstanding!!! Tex med tacos 🌮 delicious the kids loved them and I tried a bite and yes they are great too! Rice is out of this world and the beans are amazing as well love the fact they are black beans!!! Whoever took my order over the phone was so professional and so kind and nice! Great customer service by far!!!! Highly recommended will make this our regular spot
I have been coming here since it opened 4 years ago in Snyder. I loved the food and atmosphere!! This is my favorite place to go for dinner with my hubby. Jelly is the best bartender and love her way of entertaining her customers with her wit and knowledge of drinks and the food. I love Monica and Erica too, the ladies are so good with their customers and always taking care of everyone. My favorite meal is chori pollo with some fresh guacamole and steak nachos!
Outstanding Experience from Start to Finish! This place is a hidden gem! The food was absolutely delicious—every dish was full of flavor and beautifully presented. I highly recommend the tacos, it was incredible. The staff was friendly, attentive, and made us feel truly welcome. The atmosphere was cozy and perfect for both a casual dinner or a special night out. I’ll definitely be coming back. A must-try if you’re in the area!
We're not from Snyder but live in New Mexico and Cielo was delicious. The salsa is on the mild side and the chips seem house made and only lightly salted. The burritos are awesome and I'm a huge fan of the refried black beans with queso fresco. The service was great and everyone was working very hard. The patio was comfortable and they felt us bring our dogs. Thanks for a great evening!
So from the small hometown, been to all the local restraunts in town, 1st time I came it was ok, When it 1st opened 3 yrs ago, just ok..to be honest.. always came back for big beers..Drinks were amazing.BIGGEST BEERS IN TOWN..started ordering diffrent things on the menu, found out best wings in town, Cocktail on point!, salsa excellent, big menu..lots to choose from, skmething for everyone!! overall GREAT SERVICE, & great Drinks, and goid music!..All Good!!
Love that guacamole 🥑👌 good job, place is super nice ,and is big city good! Actually if you utilize their outdoor seating....feels just like you are south of the border ❤️ Oh and fresh tea! Not cloudy like most places. Special tanks your server Austin, she was super attentive to our dinning experience. This restaurant is one of my top 3 restaurants
The portions are fairly big. The food was good. I think it's a little overpriced for me and my wife the bill was $53.00 I don't believe I'll try it again but the food was good. You get a big portion of guacamole they fix it right there at the table for you.
Food was top quality atmosphere is very nice. Not enough bathrooms and not enough toliet paper, water in floor in mens. Alot of waitresses is plus, we did have to wait for my husband plate and ask for it. I would go back just to eat again for sure! Very generous with amount of food, price is little much if watching budget. Overall great place!
Tasty Mexican food, and not just your typical Tex-mex fare. Guacamole was freshly made, portions were generous, and margaritas were delicious. Charro beans were excellent and they have a wonderful, spicier salsa on request. Highly recommend!
I ordered guacamole with no jalapenos they forgot. No guacamole
This was a delightful little place to dine. I went on a Thursday, and they were busy, which is always a good sign. Had a sangria margarita, which was delicious. The food was pretty great too!
Th food is good but a little expensive compared to other Mexican restaurants in Snyder. The restaurant is a little on the dark side. I also get tired of them playing the same music and not having different genres of music. When we were in this time the employees were not busy and they were all standing at the bar being very loud.
Stopped in for a late dinner when passing through town. Sat at the bar, alone. Had a great meal followed by tres leches. Two weeks later stopped back by just for the cake. Rated 4 stars, not because of the food or service or atmosphere, but so I had a little more room for future visits.
Food was ok , server was meh , drinks were good and strong
Something different in Snyder. Great Mexican restaurant, not they only offer black beans. It's a little pricey but the restaurant is pretty modern inside. They have alcohol so I guess that's why it's always full. I recommend the molcajete for 23.50 when it's on special just enough to share with 1 more person. The agua frescas are 3 not on the menu. Really great salsa for the chips. Give it a good 3.5
Everything has hotness to it. My husband loves hot food so it was great for him but they should cater to those that don't tolerate spice well. I'd love to see a few plates offering traditional refried pinto beans rather than black beans. And queso sauce should not have jalapeños in it. Not kid-friendly at all. Nothing on the menu for a child. There should always be some type of children's plates offered at a place like this.
Food was really good. Not to blame our waitress but she was new. Wait staff needs to learn the food menu as well as the drink menu before allowing them to wait tables. They should introduce themselves so we don’t have to call them hey. A name tag would be helpful. We could not distinguish wait staff from table busser, maybe wear different colored shirts. Drinks should be carried on trays I don’t know where your hands have been, and they should be handled by the bottom of the glass away from the rim. Food should also be carried on trays. I saw several waitresses carrying chips and food orders against their breast. Play music that the public wants to hear, I prefer more Tex mex or high class Mariachi music. Alcoholic drinks should be a priority to any table that’s your money maker. Our table did not have silverware, salt pepper shakers or menus. Extra napkins always a plus. From: Houston Texas
I had been dying to try this place out for months but was very underwhelmed. The portion sizes are big, but some of the chips tasted a little stale. Everything was underseasoned, and it's a little difficult to enjoy a lunch date at a table literally next to the front door. Not somewhere I'll be going back to.
The table guacamole was excellent. The ground beef nachos were very greasy, making the chips soggy on the bottom. Way too much lettuce was piled on top. We asked for fresh chopped jalapeños but got sliced grilled ones.
Ordered chicken Fajitas and they came out in dry thin strips. I've never seen that before. My husband ordered the salmon plate and he said it was good . But we ordered their queso and it was amazing. Great service. Just not somewhere where we will be running back to.
Music too loud, food was very bland, but our server Nasa was great. The only reason we came here is due to Blue Aguve was busy. Also paid about $15 more than going to Blue Aguve. Will not be back.
Meh, nothing to write home about. Salsa was bland and the pastor tacos were not at all what I expected . The refried beans were disgusting.
Awful place. Came back to give it another try after a year and not only was it the typical service, it somehow got even worse. Got there and all the staff just walked by looking at us without a single one interacting. Then, a waiter of an old man just counted money in front of us bare hands and coughing without a care to keep his hands clean. We just decided to walk out. Would not recommend food, or wasting your time driving to this extremely unprofessional building that was allowed to become an establishment. Would love to give zero stars but it makes me overrated them even at 1 star.
No idea how this place has such high reviews. Driving through this town on vacation and stopped here. Wish we hadn't. The kids meals are $8 each, when I saw fruit as a side I was excited to get it for my kids as a healthy option. One enchilada and a cup of what looked like canned fruit cocktail in nasty syrup later, my kids didn't eat any of it. Adults got fajitas...worst fajitas I've ever had much less paid so much for. On top of it all the staff is sitting at the bar on their phones meanwhile right under their feet the floor has a straw wrapper and some clear plastic trash. I didn't even eat. Just packed it up for my dogs.
This was one of the WORST Mexican food places we’ve ever eaten at! The waitress got several things wrong right off the bat. We were very clear and she repeated and still got it wrong. Once she got our drinks right and brought us unsweet tea it was OLD and really gross. We asked very politely and apologized several times but asked if they would please make us a fresh pot of tea. She just went and tasted the tea, watered it down and then brought us a tiny cup of the same tea we had in our cups. We repeatedly asked her to make a fresh pot as she lied and said it was new then when my husband asked her in Spanish if it was a new batch (we knew it wasn’t because we could see her and she didn’t have time) she wouldn’t answer. She refused to make more so we asked for a coke. The food was so gross! The worst Spanish rice I’ve ever had. My daughter loves chicken strips and she didn’t even like that. My husband eats barbacoa every place we go and he said it was the worst one he’s ever had. We will not return.
I hate to say this about new restaurant, but I have disliking for the place because I took my family out for Mother's Day and treat them something nice and amazing. However, we waited for more than 20 minutes to sit down. After sitting down at 20 to 40 minutes of waiting for drinks or any starters. I don't recommend this restaurant to anybody because the services is terrible and the music is too loud.
Service is terrible here. If you like to be overlooked and forgotten, this is surely the place for you. So far has been to the extreme on unprofessionalism. The volume of the music will make it very hard to communicate with anyone you're with. End of the meal and while I was waiting still drinking water, I set my glass down and without asking, they just grabbed everything off the table without any regard to me sitting there. Definitely look elsewhere if you're looking for a good environment and food to go with it.
Taco salad was horrible. The cooked ground beef must have been frozen as I stirred everything together it became soupy. When I showed our waiter he just laughed. My husband ordered beef enchiladas, he did not eat everything as they did not taste good. Wrong sauce used?
NEVER NEVER WILL I EVER TAKE MY FAMILY TO THIS PLACE AGAIN.For the last 4yrs we have been he different times …One time we received hair in our food .I quite n told them fixed i did want for from there any more. soo Today i wanted to take my grand daughters to a nice dinner boy was i wrong ugh . So we order ,grand daughter goes to the Restroom n they bring her food i didn’t think nothing as were eating .My grand daughter said look nana there is hair stuck on my plate . sooo i pick up the plate n show the manger quietly the lady behind the bar big mouth very nasty rude . taking about about me as loud as she could to her coworkers. I told her i want the ck we’re leaving . so she brought the ck n i as did you remove the hair food . I told her i stopped for a while cause we got hair again . The handle in in a way it was our fault n still made us pay n no military discount. The food was horrible .i refused to go back Don’t waste YOur MONEY OR UR FAMILY TIME ….Done Done
1 star is for the service. If I could give less, I would. My family & I are driving through Snyder on our way to New Mexico. This place has good reviews so we decided to stop in. No one acknowledged us for 2-4 mins. Finally an older gentleman welcomed us and seated us. A young waiter comes out and asks for our drink order & he returns with the drinks within minutes. Then a waitress w/ a claw clip in her hair comes and asks us our order, we provide it & she walks away. You’d assume that she put the order in. Well she didn’t. 30 mins later we are still waiting for our order and she comes back again and asks for our order AGAIN! No explanation as to why she asked for it again or apology for the wait time. Then the waiter that provided our drink order comes by and asks if everything is ok. Nope it’s not because we’re still waiting for our order and it’s now been 45 mins. Another woman comes over, who seems to have a grasp on things and asks if we received our order. We said no and told her we were going to leave. Waiting an hour for lunch is unacceptable. They comped us for our Ice tea & sodas. She asked if we’d like to come back at another time and they would comp our food. We said “No thank you, we’re just driving through.” She said that we could talk to the Mgr (who also happens to be the bartender), if we’d like. We were hungry and didn’t have the time to tell him the chaos that occurred. We headed to Sonic where they were fast and the service was so much better!
I ordered a shrimp cocktail and it has been by far the worst. It came super watery and not thick with ketchup like a usual Mexican shrimp cocktail and inside there was only 4-5 shrimps. The meal was 16$ and I didn’t not even get close to half full. I was disappointed with the quantity and quality of my meal. There was no flavor on the shrimps and it was not even enough to eat my 4 crackers with it.
