i have visited many restaurants on St. Simons. They ALL are good! Crabdaddy's is my "go-too"! Always the 1st restaurant I go to when visiting the island. Tonight, I had their baked salmon w/a delicious cream sauce with capers. i sat at the bar (I always do) and was attended to by 2 great bartenders: Jules and Erin. They were friendly, and made sure anything I needed was provided. I also had a house salad, shrimp cocktail and steamed vegetables. All very delicious. This is mid-decebmer and they were packed. I will no doubt be back.

crabdaddy’s is such a gem! the staff is friendly and the food is great. the crab dip is yummy and the cup was the perfect size. one friend got the shrimp and grits and mashed potatoes and she loved it. the other friend also got the crab dip and shrimp appetizer. i think if we went back we’d skip the shrimp but everything else was fabulous!

Never disappoints! Started with the East Peach cocktail and we all ordered the scallops, blackened and sautéed, with green bean casserole, garlic mashed, and broccoli and sweet potato as our sides—everything was packed with flavor and cooked perfectly. Corinne was our server and she was fantastic—attentive, friendly, and made sure we were well taken care of. Great food, great service, and a great night out!

Great food. Get there early. This place gets packed. The red snapper with jalapeno cream sauce was very tasty. It was perfectly cooked. Crispy on the outside and tender in the middle. The crab cakes were really good. Blackened shrimp was the best I had all week. The special was a salmon in a lemon cream sauce. My kid really liked it and it was a really nice portion. The salad and bread was really good. The cinnamon butter that comes with it was awesome. We always visit Crabdaddy's when vacationing in SSI. You can make reservations in advance, too.

Crabdaddy’s is one of our favorite spots on the island for a casual dinner and a couple beers after work. A few highlights- -Their sweet and sour vinaigrette is the bomb. We paid $22 for a 16 oz cup of it to take home because my husband loves it so much. -The crab legs are the best we’ve found on the island. Compared to Crab Trap next door, you get more crab legs, salad and it’s about $15 less. They’re always cooked perfectly. -The bread is insanely good with the cinnamon butter. A must try! It’s worth the carbs. -Parking isn’t great on busy nights, but you can usually find something if you’re patient… or willing to risk parking in a spot that may not be an actual spot. -We’ve never had anything we didn’t love here. Their fresh catch specials are fantastic! -The grit fritters are something I never expected to like but they’re really good! The only disappointment we’ve had has been the cocktails aren’t great, but that works for us, because we’ll opt for something else on nights we come here. If you’re ordering a two ingredient drink (Rum & Coke, Bourbon & Ginger, Vodka & Soda, etc), you’ll probably be fine but don’t expect complex cocktails. All in all, this is a very solid spot and we’ll continue to return regularly.

Everything was yummy! The service was great and the food came out in a reasonable amount of time. We had the prime rib, shrimp and grits, shrimp entree, and kids grilled cheese. Definitely get a reservation if you can, the wait was long when we tried to visit the night before!

Great friendly service. Phenomenal food! My father in law had the biggest piece of prime rib he's ever had. My husband had the teriyaki steak and scallops and I had the shrimp and sausage pasta. So good! And the bread pudding! This is a must have!

The food was really tasty and the service was good. I also liked that we had some family-style salad as a first course and that we were seated at a round table. We were a party of six, so this made having a conversation easy. Finally, contrary to many other places we have visited across the US, the restaurant was not too loud.

1.5lb of crab legs is delicious. Cocktails like an old fashioned are done right. Totally worth a visit!

Another gem that is worth the wait! And get out there early if you can to find parking. 1 hour estimate but waited about 45 min. We’re seated and promptly served by a sweet waitress, Casey. She went above and beyond with her service checking in on us frequently and getting drinks and introductory bread to the table quickly. Our orders came out instantly and the food was excellent. Fresh, flavorful and filling.

Service is great. Food and drinks were excellent. Calamari appetizer with a good twist with spiciness. Cucumber gin drink and the grapefruit vodka drink were made well. Blackened sea scallops were seared correctly and their new potatoes were excellent.

The reviews speak for themselves; this place is a must-try. Everything was delicious; in fact, it was so good I only took a picture of the award-winning crab chowder. Desiree had such a warm personality paired with flawless customer service. To make our experience over the top, upon leaving, I noticed I left my laptop plugged in, and our work truck wouldn't start. We ran into one of the owners, Mr. Scott Bradley, in the parking lot, and he quickly jumped in his car and gave us a jump. We can't thank this establishment enough. We can't wait until we are back to complete the project we were measuring so we can experience this gem with our team. Thank you, Crabdaddy’s, for your outstanding hospitality.

Absolutely the best meal we've had in years. Oven fried redfish is the best fish entree I've had since we moved out of the NOLA area 7 years ago. Great wine selection, great appetizers (grit fritters amazing). Blackened scallops were awesome. Great meal. We will definitely return on our next SSI trip

I have been told about this restaurant from friends that love it. I finally stopped in and was able to try for myself! I shared clams and shrimp as appetizers and a plate of the pasta for dinner. The famous bread pudding was also an experience worth having. Everything was delicious, and the servers were quick and friendly sitting at the bar. I'll definitely go back while in town!

This is a really good seafood restaurant. I had the crab cakes, red snapper and the bread pudding. (Pictured)The salad is served family style with great house-made dressings. The bread service is elite

This was one of the best Seafood Restaurants we have eaten at!! Loved it!!! They serve you salad with choices of homemade blue cheese, italian, or ranch dressings! Delicious! Warm bread served with cinnamon butter. Everything we ate until the mint out the door was great! Definitely coming here again! We have told all of our friends!!!

Always good, always fresh, always going to go back. Not much else to say, severs are great and the food is spot on. Shrimp and grits are delicious and portion is huge. Blackened Mahi Mahi was exceptional. Appetizers are fantastic and the bread and homemade butter that comes with it is great. The bread pudding is a must have. Will go back every time we're on the island.

The staff is very friendly. They will work on your menu if you would like to mix and match dishes and drinks. I had coastal shrimp for appetizer and salmon for for main, which was awesome as you can see the pictures below. Also, their garlic mash potatoes were good too. Make sure to visit this place if you are in town here.

Fantastic food and service. We went on a week day toward the end of the night and it was not busy. But it was very busy on the weekend so plan accordingly. The food was fresh and flavorful. They brought out fresh bread and salad that was perfect before our meal.

Great food! The crab soup is Phenomenal. Salad was extremely fresh. Drinks were tasty. Crab cakes were good. Crab legs were meaty and butter was delicious. Bread pudding was warm and 😋. MOST IMPORTANTLY (for us)... GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE brought us back for a second visit within 4 days on the island! Liz was awesome! 😊 Con: I don't recommend any dish with grits.

The food was absolutely fabulous! I ordered the half of the crab legs and OH MY GOODNESS!! The bread they serve for the table is fantastic. Loved the atmosphere. 5 stars all stars around. Our only complaint is the the portions were not big enough for the price. So yes, expensive!

K
Kenneth Jones

Our server was great, the food was very good, although did get cold potatoes with my entree. The atmosphere was quiet upscale. I would definitely eat there again.

It’s in a nice pocket of the Island- near the King and Prince Hotel. The interior of the restaurant wasn’t anything particularly fancy, but don’t let that deter you. It’s pretty on par with the usual decor and dining experience of good local restaurants in sleepy coastal towns- similar to NJ or FL. The food was very good. I got the grouper fingers and the snapper for dinner. Everything I had was great. The price was reasonable, particularly for the size of the portions- that was a bonus. If are wanting fine dining and a super fancy restaurant to flaunt your money, this isn’t that- go hang around Sea Island. However, if you want a nice family restaurant, with an old shore/Island feel, with great portions, good food, and a relaxed environment that does not feel bar-like. This is a good option. Would go back. The server was super nice and a friendly local to someone visiting.

Crabdaddy’s Seafood Bar Grill delivered a truly enjoyable dining experience! The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming—genuine Southern hospitality at its best. From the moment we sat down, our server made sure we felt taken care of, offering great recommendations and keeping everything running smoothly. The seafood was absolutely top-notch. Fresh, flavorful, and perfectly cooked—especially the fish specials, which were the highlight of the meal. Everything we tried was delicious and well-seasoned, from the appetizers to the main course. You can tell this place takes pride in quality ingredients and preparation. The only downside was that, despite having a reservation, our table wasn’t ready when we arrived and we had to wait a bit. It wasn’t a huge deal, but it’s something to be aware of if you’re on a tight schedule. Overall, Crabdaddy’s is well worth the visit for outstanding seafood, a welcoming atmosphere, and a team that clearly cares about the guest experience. We’ll definitely be back!

One of the best meals I've eaten in awhile. Every single thing we tried was incredible, from the red snapper to the blackened shrimp to the red beans & rice and bread pudding. Our server (I think her name was Miranda) had the best recommendations and made our meal truly incredible. My husband and I can't stop talking about it. What a fun, indulgent, and celebratory place!

Great place to eat on the Island. Crab cakes were top notch, Filet was good as well. The bread and the bread pudding are incredible. Hey there early or make a reservation, it fills up fast.

Crabdaddy's is busy and loud. The parking is limited. We waited 20 minutes to be seated even with reservations, and they didn't realize the table needed to be cleared still, so we waited some more. Hopefully, you don't come here too hungry because inevitably you will become hungry from just the smells and sights. We've been here a few times and it's like this every time so we've gotten used to it. Perhaps if it wasn't a restaurant near the beach it wouldn't be ok. But the food is good, staff is friendly, and it's a short walk to the King and Prince so many things can be forgiven. Reservations are recommended as walkins seem to wait an hour or more.

Had the fried artichoke hearts appetizer and the calamari. Calamari was good probably won’t order the artichoke again. I had the Fried Shrimp with red beans and rice which was delicious. Others ordered Shrimp and sausage pasta, shrimp Alfredo. They said it was good. Wasn’t a fan of them bringing out salad in a big bowl and having to serve it ourselves. Their house ranch was delicious! Would eat here again! Bread pudding was I nice end as well!

Z

Name is a bit misleading not very much crab on the menu. Great service by front of the house and our waitress. The cook knows how to cook seafood to exactly the right temperature. Some issues with lukewarm food being served. Sides are average. However, all things being considered. I would definitely go again. Reservations recommended. Friends weren't impressed with the Margaritas. Close to East Beach. Great ambience. Parking available but fills up quickly. They start answering their phone at 2pm for reservations.

Dinner our last night on SSI. We had the side salads - try all the homemade dressing- the Grouoer special, Ahi Tuna and baked potato. All super delicious. For desert we had the bread pudding which was damn good - and i don’t care for bread pudding!! 😎The best part was the EXCELLENT service from Ashley! She was amazing!!!

We got here right when they opened at 5 pm so there was no wait. The hostess outside gave us a number and told us to take it inside. Once inside we were seated right away. The fresh baked bread was nice and hot!😋 The baked oyster special was yummy! Our waitress was great. Very attentive!

The crab soup was ok, can't say much else about it but that... We weren't expecting the salad to be served the way it was, but it was nice, and big enough for 3 ppl. The crab cakes were delicious but REALLY WET. I enjoyed rhe salad much more than those sadly. The fish with the crawfish sauce was really good, my husband really enjoyed that. But the side vegetables were steamed, there was no seasoning or butter what so ever on them, and they didn't even look appetizing. They never got touched. We sat in a room with bare white walls that looked like it was to be more used for gatherings. The remaining part of the restaurant look from what we could see to be more idea of a restaurant setting. The parking lot is very small and not slot of spots available.

We are visiting the island for our daughter’s Spring Break. Our first night here we picked up salad, red snapper, shrimp, cheese grits, crab soup, and macaroni and cheese to share. The salad, snapper, shrimp, crab soup, and dipping sauces- tartar & cocktail- were fabulously flavorful and seriously hard to stop eating. We would recommend Crabdaddy’s to anyone!

B
Blondie

Liked the entree. Skip the bread pudding. Pudding itself was fine, but sauce lacked flavor.. bland. Not sure what it was supposed to be. Assumed the ice cream I got with it would be vanilla, but it was yellowish & really cheap tasting. Fix those 2 things, & it’ll be better

K
Kathryn Shaner

The fried grit fritters were pretty tasty! I really enjoyed the Parmesan crusted chicken and angel hair. The salad and sweet/sour dressing was delicious as well. The bread was a but lacking.. could've been warmer and a bit crispier but overall was okay. Prices are a bit steep considering so be prepared. Overall, I'd recommend it and I'd likely go back when visiting the area.

R
Rachael Arrington

Too bad the bartender was in a bad mood. Never offered the specials. Never asked for refill on beer by her. I'm a business owner on Sea Island and St. Simons and really do not want to pay for this type of service! Parking attendant was nicer then our waitress!

J

Based on other reviews, I am unsure what happened with my visit. This was a recommended stop for dinner. Came semi-early so it was not crowded. Atmosphere was basic, service was polite, but nothing extraordinary. Food was incredibly disappointing from start to finish. Salad was "meh." Asked what was in their dressings for potential food allergy, since they are all made in-house, and was told "a lot of stuff, I am not sure." Got the teriyaki steak and scallops with vegetables. Issue 1: Served on salad plates so it was near impossible to not to knock the food on the table. Issue 2: There was so much liquid marinade or teriyaki that it was practically soup. Issue 3: Food served mildly warm, not a freshly prepared temperature I would expect. Issue 4: Steak - over cooked, Scallops - over cooked; both had little to no taste. Perhaps due the enormous amount of marinade that bogarted any other potential flavoring. Issue 5: Unsure if the vegetables were sautéed or microwaved ... either way, they were prepared with zero flavor and legit served on a saucer that coffee or tea would normally sit on. Left pretty disappointed, especially for the cost and the recommendations that had been given.

Food was great, but we didn’t realize there was assigned seating at a bar!? The blonde bartender immediately told us to move over at the bar because they seat two and two! What if an individual sits at the bar?? We recently moved here and was recommended to this restaurant, but this will be the last time we will ever eat here because of the attitude and atmosphere!

N
Nga Nguyen

So excited to visit but got super disappointed. Scallop was not fresh, salty and rubbery. We left half untouched. Clams were tiny like there was no meat at all. Crabs were salty and falling apart. There were dark spots I don’t what it is, but looks like the restaurant didn’t clean the crabs at all. Salad, bread and crab soup was ok, but overall it is a bad experience. Hope that the restaurant do something to improve.

I just dined at Crab Daddy's for the first and last time. We ordered crab cakes and scallops. The scallops were raw inside and lukewarm. The crab cakes were cold and gelatinous. We informed our server Cheyenne M and she couldn't have cared less. We told her we could not eat it and she offered us bread pudding which we refused. She removed 2 full plates from our table and promptly presented us with the bill. All I can think is I hope we do not get sick. $82.39 for inedible food. Update WE ARE SICK
