Growing up, our family has always dined here since its opening, drawn by the owner's warm hospitality. We particularly love their beef noodle soup and the whole lamb leg noodle soup. Recently, we've also become fans of their traditional North Side Chinese breakfast, adding a new layer of enjoyment to our family's dining tradition.
We were looking for a place to eat for lunch and saw Asians in this restaurant. So we decided to try it out. It didn’t disappoint. The staff hardly spoke English. The decor is simple. They have self-serve water, tea, hot sauce, and utensils. The menu is both in English and Chinese. You can now pay by credit card. One of their menu has pictures. We ordered beef noodle soup, lamb (so tender) soup, pan-fried pork dumplings, chicken lo mein, and spicy wonton. All of them were delicious. We will definitely go back and try their other items.
People here are pressed because they are so used to American style service - this is a classic in sugar land. This is a great price for the food so set your expectations! It’s not going to be a 5 star experience but more for the working class :) Atmosphere The food is AMAZING. The price is CHEAP. The people are warm and welcoming and ofc a bit of a language barrier which is why you also know it’s authentic. Which is also why the naming of the food might not be how it’s made (like beef bimbambop is different from Korean) Recs for food: The side dishes is a must have for the seaweed and spicy pork and century egg!! Bamboo too is a classic and milk tea is great :) They try out a lot of recipes so it can be a hit or miss on your taste buds to see what you like personally. But just because you tried one dish and it didn’t fit your pallet doesn’t mean the others aren’t absolutely amazing ya know? I would recommend the noodles and the beef and ofc anything tomato since it’s amazing. And this beef pancake!! Never got food poisoning here so that person must have an intolerance not known lol
This is a cozy Chinese restaurant located in Sugarland. Prices are reasonable and portion is abundant. The noodles are freshly made and delicious. They offer small authentic appetizers. Decorations resembling ancient Chinese noodle shop. Worth a visit.
The owner is absolutely adorable and kind! The food is traditional and affordable.. They don't speak much English, but the menu has photos, so you can simply point at what you want. The beef noodles and dumplings are delicious. The pan-fried buns are huge but a little bland.
Had the Pork and Chive dumplings in spicy beef soup. Excellent! Great flavor, really enjoyed it. Many other great looking things on the menu, so I can't wait to go back and try something else.
Good old place to grab food here just like the name implied. Food always good and cheap and large portion. I usually come here for their dumplings and wontons. They also have a lot of other difference dishes from all over China/Taiwan. Would highly recommended if you are looking for something different and traditional Chinese food.
I absolutely love this restaurant offering authentic Chinese dumplings and noodles. My new favorite in sugarland.
Delicious traditional Taiwanese food. Try their spicy beef noodle and pork dumplings. Price is reasonable.
So authentic and yummy!
Highly recommended, very authentic Chinese northern noodle. Great value.

So authentic and yummy!
Great food. Try the beef noodle, dumpling and Sichuan noodles.
The food at this place is awesome! We really liked their dumplings, noodles, beef pancakes, and honestly all entries. All noodle and wraps of dumplings are hand-made and taste like from childhood memories. Food quality is consistent and service is friendly. I would highly recommend this restaurant for authentic Chinese food especially noodles and dumplings.
This is a really nice place to get noodle house style food. I’ve been coming here since I was very young, and their quality has always been great. I love their pot stickers, and the service is really good.
Big portion sizes that are yummy and adorable >_< staff is also very friendly and nice, highly recommended
Just a great, unassuming, consistent, good quality home style chinese cooking. Many places change chefs and go from great to bad. This place has just been reliably great for years. December 2024 update: still going strong. Great reliable tasty food.

A nice hidden gem in Sugar Land if you crave for northern Chinese foods, especially northern Chinese breakfast dishes. Dumplings, Bao, Savory Tofu, Lamb noodle soup, … … 🥢🍜 🥘🍲🥟🥰😋
Seeking comfort food for your Chinese stomach? This is the right place to go. Small but cozy, simple but comforting.

Overall an average environment. _____________________________________________ = Food Quality = --- Dan Dan Noodle ($4.50): 3/5 --- Somewhat savory and tasty noodles, the minced pork and it's sauce is lightly flavored, slightly salty, and not very spicy. Pretty average for a $5 bowl of noodles, the flavors weren't really extraordinary in anyway, but the price + portion makes this pretty fair. --- Spicy Szechuan Noodle ($5.50): 2/5 --- When you think of Szechuan, you may think spicy, but what you're really thinking of is a flavorful spicy... which in this case is not true. This dish is the opposite of flavorful, it's flavorless! Lol, it's spicy alright, but that's basically all there is to it, maybe a tad bit of intestine flavor, but that isn't what I'd look for in a Szechuan style dish. Either way, this dish was quite underwhelming in terms of flavor, but the price is good. --- Spicy Wonton ($4.50): 1/5 --- Ok, so the sauce in this is actually quite good, a nice flavorful spicy, but there's a huge problem as well. The "wonton" skin they use in this dish is extremely thick and unsatisfying, not only is it starchy and flour-like, it is also 85% of the entire dish! Yes, there is only a puny piece of pork inside, and not only is it tiny, it was RAW! Straight up undercooked and had a stench to it, extremely unpleasant meal to finish when stuff like this happens. Other than that, I'd rate this dish as bad even if it was cooked correctly, cause the consistency is just awful all around, besides the sauce I suppose. _____________________________________________ = Price / Service = Prices here are rather inexpensive. Service is okay, nothing out of the ordinary. _____________________________________________ Miscellaneous (Other): - Self Serve Condiments - Very Situational Food - CASH ONLY! I got some noodles and the hot sauce was separate. The lady came and took my bowl and mix the entirety of the hit sauce in my noodles. I understand you might want to give an "authentic" experience, but please don't mix hot sauce for a customer. You really don't know how much they can handle or if they even wanted that much sauce in the first place
