Best steakhouse in the area. Crazy good service and awesome atmosphere! We've been here several times and they nail it every visit. If you go with the prix fixe menu it brings even more value to the experience. The food is always hot, perfectly seasoned, and the timing out of the kitchen is spot on. Highly recommended!
Ciera restaurant is the hidden gem of this area of Lake Tahoe. What we anticipated was going to be so-so service and hotel steakhouse okay food turned out to be so much more! I can't say enough positive things about this restaurant. We had such an amazing experience that we went back for a second night. You'd never know that the area was suffering from such a severe labor crisis while dining here. Service was over the top incredible not only from the individual waiters, but because of Daryl. This man is one of a kind. His whole team appears to be radiating sunshine. Honestly, it was almost bizarre. We loved it and so did the tables around us. You leave a happier person full of fairly delicious food after dining here. I've worked with this industry for over 20 years and have dined in some really memorable spots around the world and this one makes the list. When given a choice to eat anywhere in Lake Tahoe- opt for Ciera, but make a reservation first. Ask for Daryl and tell him Ariana you. Hopefully, it'll make him smile. 10 stars for service!
This place deserves way more than 5 stars a category. We came here for my birthday. We made reservations a week early. We made it for 5:30. We went on Thursday for the pre fixe menu. If you want a nice private area, request a booth. They're pretty big yet cozy and have high, beautiful drapes they close for privacy. We both said it was the most romantic restaurant experience we've ever had. All the food was delicious! We got French onion soup, bison carpaccio, escargot, lamb chops, steak with red wine demi, cheesecake, and chocolate lava cake. It was my favorite restaurant experience and food I've ever been to. Our waiter even gave me some chilled chocolate strawberries over dry ice, so it looked smokey and a birthday card signed by everyone. John, our server was impeccable! Lee has worked in restaurants his whole life and was very impressed with John. Very personable and gave us our space but always managed to come whenever we needed anything. His timing was perfect, too. Everything seemed so magical. I can't wait to go back! 100 stars!
Best steakhouse in Lake Tahoe. A little pricey but it’s worth it. Menu has fixed pricing for $60 or $70. Curtained private booths. No matter what dessert you order, you also get chocolate covered strawberries served over smokey dry ice. Pics here of NY strip and seafood medley
Went here for my wife's birthday and everything was delicious. We had the $60 prixe fixe and everything was cooked perfectly. The personalized touch was also nice they even gave her a birthday card. Small touches like that go a long way. I'll definitely come back next time in South Lake Tahoe.
This place is amazing!! Every single thing they have is absolutely delicious! Our server Jon was extremely friendly and personable. It was our anniversary and they brought us out a card signed by the whole staff!! I highly recommend coming here every opportunity you get.
This restaurant is fantastic! Great flavors in all the dishes. We enjoyed the fettuccini and the steak a lot! Their sea bass also seemed great. The portion is huge and we enjoyed every bit! The service was also good. Worth the price and we enjoyed the amazing dinner here.
The best fine dining experience in Tahoe. The food quality is superb! The numerous awards posted at the entrance are well deserved.
We got the private tabel surrounded by curtains. Couch style seats with two pillows. The staff added some extra touches while we were celebrating our anniversary.
Shane was amazing bartender. Order steak, truffle Mac cheese, and chimichurri sauce. Don’t forget the espresso martini!

While in South Lake Tahoe for skiing, we decided to throw in a nice dinner. We weren't familiar with Ciera Steakhouse, and choose it from options on Open Table. The food and ambiance are exactly what we imagined. Lush velvet curtains separating the booths, crooner songs playing, formal service, and well done food. Best of all the prices were great! The nicest touch to end the evening was the coffee service, with the beautiful creams and options like chocolate shavings and cinnamon sticks.
Excellent food with excellent service. $60 for the 3 course meal is a bargain compare to high end restaurants. This is definitely a must try when in Tahoe.
Had a great meal on a Holiday weekend. I was really impressed with Daniella our server. And a manager who came to our table asking how our evening was and if we enjoyed our food and service. It seemed to me that they were really making the effort and cared.
We had the Chateaubriand for two and it did not disappoint. Perfectly cooked. We added Bleu cheese and mushrooms and it was perfection. The broccolini, asparagus, mashed potatoes were also cooked to perfection. Saul was our server and he was the best. We were treated like family. Would definitely go here again
Met two John’s: John the waiter and John the General Manager of the resort. John from the restaurant had worked here for more than 40 years. Legend, kind, quick, generous. John the GM: giving of his time, courteous, and also a Tahoe devotee. I actually found the prix fixe menu very fair. Delish beef tenderloin - we had enough French already in this review - with baby potatoes, fresh Al dente carrots - now we’re going Italian! Lava cake was rich and filing as was the bisque. Left happy and full.

Vintage steakhouse. Red leather u-booths. Sinatra playing in the background. While antiquated, still adhering to high standards of prime choice beef and other staples of American cuisine. Pictured: Iceberg Wedge, Lobster Bisque, Scalloped Potatoes, 24 oz. Bone-In New York Strip Steak, Au Poivre (upon request).
My wife and I decided to take a long weekend and escape to Lake Tahoe. We wanted to have one nice dinner out and chose here. The Lobster Bisque and Seared Tuna we had to start the meal, were both outstanding. The Gorganzola and Pine Nut Sea Base was exceptional too. There was so much food, that we couldn't finish it all. Our server John was friendly, knowledgeable, and stayed on top of everything. The only draw back was customers showing up in sleeveless T-shirts and flip flops. Come on people, respect a nice restaurant with at least a polo and blue jeans. We as consumers need to dress up a little more, if only once in a while.
Great service, friendly staff, delicious food, and a nice variety of wines to choose from. Only weird thing is I saw an employee exhale a huge cloud of vape smoke when exiting the kitchen and going in to the dining area. Not really something you want to see when you're trying to have an upscale, classy experience lol. Food was great though! I had the escargot, rack of lamb, and chocolate melting cake from the $70 prix fixe menu and was in food heaven. If I stay at Bally's again, I will be back.
Tomahawk was delicious, we also had the Rockefeller oysters which we highly recommend. The place is the typical American place that has never been renovated since its opening.

It's a pretty good steak house for being on the Tahoe area. However the prices for the steaks were in the 70s. And for that price, you don't get a dry aged steak, kind of a bummer. Also, they asked if we were celebrating anything, and we said there was a birthday. They wished a happy birthday, but that was all. There's no birthday treat at this restaurant.

We booked at 630, went seated until 645, our order wasn’t taken until 710, food didn’t arrive until 820 and it took us an additional hour to receive our check. This was the second time we’ve wasted here, the first was the complete opposite. For future guest, I suggest asking for Jon as your server. He’s an experienced, top notch server who will not allow your experience to be like ours.
Embarrassing experience. What a bunch of snake oil salesman. They tried screwing us out of our tab because we asked to split it. We waited 30 minutes and they messed with us like i’ve never been messed with before. Steer clear of this place.
Took my wife here for a nice dinner for Valentine’s Day. We ordered the lamb and strip loin. Waited over an hour for our food. Everything was delicious and we tipped everyone heavily including valet to be generous. Once we were back in our room my wife complained of nausea and stomach issues. It’s been 2 hours and my wife is still throwing up and shivering in the shower. The lamb was either rotten or not cooked properly. Ruined our weekend and almost sent my wife to the hospital! Shame on you Bally’s! How unprofessional. :( learn how to COOK your food!!! Cook should be FIRED.
