This is one of the best sushi places I've been to. The menu is inventive and very reasonably priced. The sweetheart roll and the tuna tower appetizer are my favorites. And leave room for dessert, the tempura cream puffs are too good to skip.

Great Place! Fantastic service and well mannered. The place was clean and the food was good. I especially liked the fish tempura (picutre bellow)

One of my favorite places to grab some sushi! The food is always excellent and the service is too! My favorite appetizer is the Dragon Ball. So delicious! To stay or to go you can't go wrong. :)

Genki is a Nice local sushi place. Looks good iside and tastes delish. Kitchen entries are nice as well. Sushi nicely presented and a bit of decorations. Custom rolls can be ordered to your taste. Pleasant and attentive service. Delivery available. Parking is easily available within the shopping center.

This place use to be amazing. I’ve ordered from here plenty of times, but after tonight’s delivery, I’m disgusted & disappointed. Opened the fried rice to find a full hair in it (follicle attached.) so immediately off to a bad start, and I LOVE their fried rice. Then the shrimp tempura roll— one of the pieces was just the tail. No shrimp, just the tail wrapped in rice. The gyoza tasted like it was frozen from a grocery store. I’m so disappointed, this use to be one of my favorite sushi places.

Ordered takeout tonight. The rolls were sloppily put together and kept falling apart. Hardly any rice - hard avocado. I ordered pan fried gyoza and received steamed. This also fell apart. Not very pleased with the food.

I’ve been to Genki several times throughout the years and under different ownership. The current incarnation is just OK. Went to an early dinner with some friends, so there were only two other tables being occupied. From the moment we sat down, we were rushed. Rushed to place our orders, then rushed to eat, with our plates being taken away while there was still food on them. All for no apparent reason as, again, there were plenty of open tables. We were watched at close range by the staff, who pounced on our table when they thought we might be done, even though we weren’t. One waitress was kind, another was brusk, and yet another appeared to be a literal child. What is happening? We just wanted to have a mellow, relaxing dinner while catching up with each other but that was impossible. I’ve never felt so hounded to eat and pay and get out of a restaurant like that before. Not bothering to return, which is a shame because the meal tasted really nice. However, Misaki in Woodrow has slightly better sushi and much better service. As far as delivery: service is bad, just don’t bother with it. Gave them the benefit of the doubt and tried again with the same result of a 2+ hour wait, and sushi was inedible by the time it got to me.

Not sure how this place has such a high rating. I hadn’t been here in years & happened to be on the Island & remembered it being really good, but today my sushi was not edible (I threw away the spicy tuna roll & I do not like to waste food). The spicy tuna roll had zero flavor, tasted like nothing, just a mushy texture in my mouth. Shrimp tempura roll had no shrimp taste, just a hot crunch. I ordered a spicy scallop roll. She asked if I wanted crunch, so I said yes, well it was basically a crunchy roll with a few tiny lil pieces of scallop. Got all of this with brown rice, which looked oddly colored purple, wasn’t very appetizing. The rolls fell apart when I was trying to eat them & I am adept at using chopsticks. The seaweed salad & miso soup were tasty! My sister loved the gyoza & said the sweet potato rolls were delicious, hence the 2 stars. However, the sushi in my eyes I would give zero stars, but just can’t give a horrible review like that, sadly though this is a sushi joint, it’s in the name Genki Sushi. Will sadly not be going back, at least not for sushi. Maybe the restaurant was just having an off day, thank goodness this was all on lunch special, would have been worse having paid full price for it. Wouldn’t recommend for sushi!

I ordered $50 worth of assorted Sushi for pickup yesterday 6/28/25. I was really disappointed. See the photos… filling was missing in some rolls while others were sold to me and not wrapped completely. Additionally the eel tasted very fishy and not fresh at all. The worse I have had in a long time.

Very ungrateful,We had finished eating and went to pay for our food & as we were paying we tipped 5 dollars. The woman at the cashier took it upon her self to ask us (the customers) “that’s it?”. The audacity to say that to someone none the less a customer and then force us to pay it is disgraceful. Get workers with better attitude and who are more appreciative because they didn’t have to get tipped a dime.

Sushi was terrible. We expected much better from the high ratings. The salmon in our rolls was smoked salmon, not real fresh sushi salmon you’d typically get. Doesn’t even look appetizing. The alaskan roll (in image) barely looks like an alaskan roll. We will not be buying from here again and would not recommend.
