Amazing food for a great price. We had the sushi chef special that came with a Toro roll that melted in your mouth. We also had the Viking roll and the Snow White roll which were simple with a big punch of flavor. Presentation was beautiful and service was on point.
The sushi tempura roll was an absolute hit for my daughter's meal and tasted incredibly fresh. It was the perfect choice for her and made the entire dining experience truly special.
Had a wonderful dinner here with my family. The staff was very friendly and welcoming, even though we had a baby with us. They provided quick service and checked on us frequently. Food was top-notch, especially the sashimi platter and sushi rolls. Highly recommended for families as well!
Such an amazing experience! From the moment we walked in, everything felt perfect—great service, super fresh fish, beautifully plated dishes, and a very relaxing dining atmosphere. Every dish was memorable. I honestly can’t wait to come back again!
5 stars! Absolutely loved this place. The food was incredibly fresh and full of flavor, especially the sashimi. The service was attentive and friendly, and the atmosphere was cozy yet elegant. Prices are reasonable for the quality you get. Highly recommended—will definitely come back again!
Miyabi instantly became one of my favorite sushi spots! The vibe is lively, the decor is modern and inviting, and the staff are all so friendly and upbeat — you can tell they love what they do! Every dish that came out looked like a piece of art and tasted even better! The sushi is ALWAYS fresh and delicious. Leo is always there to greet me with a friendly and professional attitude. I will definitely be back soon! Thank you so much!
One of the best sushi places on Staten Island. The food was delicious and beautifully displayed not to mention the price, a bang for your buck. The people who works here are super nice and friendly. Have been a royal customer ever since I moved in to Staten Island and was super disappointed when I heard they had a fire incident few months ago. I’m glad they’re able to make a beautiful comeback and serving the community.
Very pleasantly surprised by this small sushi restaurant in SI. I have been craving Santa Barbara Uni for awhile and I definitely did not want to go into the city or Brooklyn. I was thrilled to find that this restaurant had both Uni and Toro! The Uni is fresh with a sweet buttery aftertaste (we went on a Monday evening). Yumm. As you can tell from the pics, we ordered one piece each to try before ordering a few more Uni pieces after we realized it was FRESH (old Uni is so uck) ! We also ordered the toro belly which melted in my mouth. It was ssooo good. I usually find Oh-toro to be a bit too fatty for my preference but their toro belly is between an Oh-toro and Chu toro which is PERFECT for me. I also enjoyed the Madai and the ebi shrimp head! The Ebi was a little too mushy for my preference. Each sushi had just enough rice and vinegar was not overpowering or taking away from the fish. I am not sure why some of the reviews complain there is too little rice. If you want rice order it on the side? Sushi is not suppose to have too much rice!!! We also order the Staten Island roll which was fairly good but too filling for me. Service was excellent and the workers picking up the phone were very nice as well. I certainly will be back to try the other items on their menu. I did not enjoy the smoked salmon (taste like costco smoked salmon) and wagu (recommendation to make this last as it was served cold and needed a little more torching). I would also recommend a quick torching on the madai pieces to give the skin an extra char. Otherwise excellent fish selection!!!
I love eating here. The place is always clean and modern. The staff are attentive and conversationa, but the food is fantastic! I ordered the salmon teriyaki bento which came with hot miso soup, sashimi, california rolls, kimchi, salad, veggies, wasabi, and rice. The food tasted delicous and the plateing was a feast for the eyes.
I don't usually write reviews. But I feel obliged to do so after being here. I came all the way from Flushing to try this place out. Japanese restaurant are everywhere. But its hard to find a decent one with high quality and reasonable price. The price was beyond reasonable, if I were to order the same thing in other Japanese restaurant in the city or long island, the price would be 40-60% more expensive. This is a family restaurant and they are delicated to Asian cuisine. Mainly Chinese and Japanese. The sashimi is a definite try. Besides the price, the quality and freshness of them are just exceptional. Plus, staffs are friendly and helpful. Don't take my words for it, go try it out. I promise you won't regret it.
Very good food. Great staff. Reasonable price. Give it a try
I’d say this place is average overall — not bad, but not amazing either. The sushi presentation was nice, but the freshness wasn’t quite there; you could tell it wasn’t the best quality fish. The saving grace was definitely the boys (chefs) — they were friendly, and everything was plated beautifully. I also highly recommend the mango kani salad — it was fresh, flavorful, and easily the highlight of the meal. As for desserts, I’d stay away from the tempura cheesecake — it looked fun but was a miss for me. The ice cream didn’t really make up for it either, just not worth it. That said, the place itself is clean, cozy, and has a nice vibe for date night. Prices are decent for what you get, and the service was polite. If you go, stick to the basics and try the mango kani salad — that’s their best dish.
I'm always on the hunt for good asian food in Staten Island, so I was excited to visit this place based off the great reviews. Initially, when I tasted the Salmon Sushi, I had high hopes for the rest of the menu items. Unfortunately, Miyabi did fall a little short of my expectations after a few bites of the Beef Pad Ke Mao. Food: I ordered Plum wine, Agedashi tofu, Salmon and tuna sushi a la carte, Beef Pad Ke Mao, and Deep fried green tea ice cream. Plum Wine: When you first take a sip of the plum wine, it taste decent. You get hints of sweet plum but there was a slight sour after taste just lingering. Agedashi Tofu: The broth for this Agedashi tofu was spot on, it was fragrant, flavorful, and pack with umami. The tofu was soft, lightly seasoned, and had a wonderful crispy exterior. Although I did enjoy this appetizer I felt it lacked some grated daikon on top and a bit more of the broth would have gone a long way. Salmon and Tuna Sushi: Both the Salmon and Tuna tasted great, both were fresh, rich in flavor, and just melted away in my mouth. The rice however offered a different story, The rice didn't hold well, tasted a bit stale, and dry. Beef Pad Ke Mao: I ordered this dish after I ordered my sushi but somehow this dish arrived at least 2 minutes before the sushi. It is impressive when an establishment offers quick services, but this arrived suspiciously too quick. The dish was overall lackluster, the noodles were overcooked, stuck clumped up together, and the sauce didn't provide any excitement. The beef was tender but also very chewy, I found myself pulling some pieces apart with my hand and noticed the inside was a little underdone. Some of the noodles were cold while others were hot and same with the beef. Deep Fried Green Tea Ice Cream: What's not to love about a ball of ice cream deep fried in a light layer of tempura batter. I wish they would had let the ice cream fry a little bit longer to melt the inside a bit more and to completely cook the batter. Service: It was just me and 2 other guest. The waitress was a little slow because her attention was captivated by what she was watching on the tv. I wasn't offered water when I sat down, nor when I ordered my food, but the other guest did get water. Although the food arrived at my table within minutes of me ordering, I found it a bit odd for the Pad Ke Mao. Makes me fee as if it was maybe left by another guest, they reheated and served it to me. Decor: Well lit, nothing fancy but offers a cozy feeling. The bathroom has was clean and smelled nice but the flashing lights were giving me a headache. Price: I felt like some of the dishes were slightly overpriced for the quality they provided. Overall I gave this place a 3 out of 5. If I were to come back it would be for the Agedashi Tofu and the Salmon Sushi.
Came for the good reviews but only got low quality food although It looks like fancy. We felt like being catfished from the reviews. We ordered a bento box, ramen noodle, chef special sushi and mango slushy. Sushi was not fresh Mango slushy had nothing but tons of sugar and an artificial mango taste. No real mango at all. Beef ramen has a stinky smell and taste I don’t know how it has the stinky pickles bamboo shoots in it. Beef was barely flavored—Imagine water boiled beef slices. Noodle was store bought instant ramen. Oh and water was not even filtered, has a strong tap water taste. Overall very disappointed.
Second time they messed up my order. When I called the guy tried to insinuate that I didn’t know what I was talking about. Ordered sautéed broccoli, instead I received what they wanted me to have which was a mixed of vegetables with about 3 pieces of broccoli. When I spoke to them, the guy insisted that, that’s how they do sautéed broccoli. Which in fact was a lie, I told him I ordered from here plenty of times and NEVER received mixed vegetables with barely any broccoli for sautéed broccoli. So he finally admitted they had made a mistake but couldn’t deliver the food. SMH. Was once a VERY frequent customer, will no longer go here. It’s very simple to say we messed up instead of trying to insult my intelligence. The first time I let it slide but not anymore.
