Tip: The Nonna pie is a must-try. Be aware that take-out pie sizes may differ from in-store slices, and check for crust burn.

Avis sur Nonna's Old Fashioned Pizzeria Staten Island
It's delicious thin crust pizza 🍕 reminiscent of how pizza was made back in the day and should STILL be made! Served with a smile.
I trekked from West Brighton—where pizza dreams are lost in cookie shops and bar food—because Nonna’s has always gotten a lot of chatter, and I just hadn’t made it out there—but today, I was lucky I did. I don’t mind traveling for quality, and Nonna’s delivered: crisp, charred slices with great sauce and cheese—no gimmicks, just a top-notch slice. Compared to what I’ve had on Staten Island lately, this was a standout. And the ultimate benchmark when you walk into a new pizzeria? You go with two plain slices—quick and fast. Nonna’s passed that test, and sitting in my car, I knew: this is exactly the kind of place that deserves a review to match!
Some of the best pizza on SI! Staff is always friendly and treats you like family. Whether it’s the bagel store or the pizzeria? They rock!!
We ordered 2 surprise boxes through “too good to go” for 12 dollars. When we got there for the pick up, they were so kind to give us 3 extra boxes filled with pizza slices. Everything was delicious, there were many different kinds of pizza, even the Sicilian pizza. Super recommended!
One of the best pizzas I’ve ever had. Anytime I’m in the area I will make a point to stop by
Nonna’s Pizzeria is a standout, and a big part of that is thanks to Franny and his team. He’s warm, welcoming, and friendly. From the moment you walk in, you feel like family! They offer every kind of slice you can imagine, and everything I tried was fantastic. I had the vodka slice, a deep dish pepperoni, and ordered the white clam pie - which I’ve never seen offered anywhere else. It’s absolutely incredible: savory, lemony, and full of flavor. On top of that, I highly recommend checking out their bagel store next door, freshly baked bagels every morning, and just as impressive as the pizza. Nonna’s is a hidden gem that I’m so glad I found, and I’m already planning to make it a part of my weekly routine. Whether you’re picking up, ordering out, or grabbing a slice to go, don’t miss out on this place.
The fettuccine Alfredo was incredible with tender, perfectly cooked noodles tossed in a rich and creamy sauce, this dish is a flavorful in its simplicity leaving you wanting more. Each bite is a testament to the chef's skill and dedication to traditional Italian cuisine. While the fettuccine Alfredo is a standout, they also have pasta with vodka sauce which is my 2nd favorite dish of theirs. The sauce itself was marvelous in balance and flavor, with a subtle kick from the vodka that added depth without overpowering the dish. Would absolutely suggest Nonna’s Pizza Great Kills. The portions are always generous, and the price was reasonable.
Top 10 pizza places on staten island. All pies are good but the Nonna is the one to get. This is my go to when i want a good pie. No matter when i order i know what im going to get consistently good is what makes this restaurant even better than how it tastes. Wide variety of different pizza a must try.
Nonna’s Pizza Great Kills has a really warm, welcoming atmosphere that makes it a nice place to sit down and enjoy a casual meal. The space feels lively and comfortable, and it’s a good spot for families or a relaxed night out.
I order take out from here. Not anymore. When you order a pie they don’t give you the size pie they have in the shop. They make their pies smaller than the individual slices they have in the shop. Also they often burn the crust. Nice people inside and good customer service but they make inconsistent pies. I ordered a pie and extra slices. Below is a pic of two extra slices next three slices from the whole pie. Can you pick out which is which?
First time ordering, not impressed. Pizza tasted microwaved, burned edges, very thin crust, too crunchy. Delivery service was quick, very nice delivery staff.
Ridiculous. Ordered at 8:02pm restaurant doesn’t close till 10pm. I waited until 9 to call them to confirm they received my order since I did not get it. For them to tell me that they canceled my order because “the kitchen closes at 8” …. How are you open until 10 and you are a restaurant if the kitchen closes at 8?? Makes no sense at all. If you’re going to cancel an order for whatever you reason the customer deserves a phone call. I’ve worked in the restaurant/pizzeria industry before this is common courtesy.
Didn’t even get to order some kinda racists over here. To reiterate, I walked into this store and went to look at the QR code on their register and I am then harassed by multiple workers shouting that I am taking a picture of the cashier. Clearly, I’m not welcome, so I step outside and they’re shouting “you don’t want pizza?!?”. They then shouted to their strange friend who was waving around a blue plastic light saber outside, “that guy just took a picture of her” and I am met by the weird stares . The audacity of the manager to say he knows the menu is in front of the register and still have employees harassing potential customers. If you want to be defamed or weird stares by light saber wielding people when you simply want pizza, try this spot I guess. I can only assume this has something to do with my race or because I didn’t wish to speak with people who behave so unprofessionally.
I do not recommend this pizzeria, 36$ the attitude is disgusting, they talk to the customer without respect... we ordered a pizza, they brought a cold and old pizza, and judging by the state of the pizza, it is not clear what happened to it on the way... if you like to eat well, do not waste your time and nerves on this pizzeria!!!!
Ordered from this place bought a small soup, garlic knots and a slice of pizza for $15! the garlic knots were stale, pizza tasted old! Called the girl told me to bring it back so absolutely not, I didn't make the food send someone to come get it and replace it. If your going to charge that much make sure its all fresh my family members will also leave a review.edit 3 years later still horrible service they have the galls to charge $25 for a $12 pie tops.. many other places you can eat from .
